Michelle and all of the staff were excellent. We were greeted with a smile everyday. The welcome drinks were great! I went there to celebrate my birthday and it was the best choice for location, entertainment, and price. It is within walking distance from the beach and surrounded by other great restaurants. The hotel has an amazing DJ that provides great music every night to ensure you will have a good time. The rooms are small but were very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone celebrating a birthday or just wanting a fun weekend away!

I'll say this. I was about to book this hotel for my upcoming stay for my bday in January. I called guest services to get info on the pool and nightclub. The staff lady who answered steered me away. I called excited to get info on the pool, dj, and night club. She wasn't giving me info. I asked questions and got one word responses. Videos looked cool but not knowing hours of operation, costs for guests, foot traffic etc....girlfriend did not even attempt to sell me on why my friends and I should stay there. Such a bummer

October 18, 2025 – College Reunion Event (Michigan State University) We had our Michigan State University college reunion in Miami and we went to the Clevelander Hotel on South Beach to watch the MSU football game — 13 of us, all college friends in our 60s, and it was an absolute blast! I organized the event and worked with Sabrina, the Area Sales Manager, who was simply awesome to work with from start to finish. I asked her to set up a table for 13 by the pool where all the video monitors are so we could watch the football game, have lunch, and enjoy a few drinks. When we arrived, the setup was perfect — the table was beautifully arranged with a “Reserved – Welcome MSU Group” sign, and the bar manager even came over to let me know, they also had the game playing at the bar inside in case we wanted to come in periodically and hear the game. That level of attention was impressive. Our server, "S", was outstanding — full of energy, personality, and fun. She kept everything flowing perfectly and genuinely became our honorary 14th Spartan that day. Everything from the service to the vibe was top-notch. If you’re planning a group outing, game watch, or event on South Beach, I can’t recommend the Clevelander enough. Five stars all the way! 💚🤍 Go Green!

$200 for one night BUT free complementary drinks AND Free breakfast from 8am-10am - The Room is very nice BUT NO FRIDGE & NO MICROWAVE. 4⭐️ -UPDATE: BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE ! The free drink is a Frozen Bacardi….Elevator is Very old/slow. Microwave was sent to room after request. I was locked out my room. Maintenance could not get the door open. Manager fixed it. Got a different room & the toilet don’t flush. Not terrible but very inconvenient. UPDATE: 3⭐️

It's decent, but older. Rooms are nothing fancy, but functional. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is smack in the middle of Lummus beach area, directly across the street and in the middle of Ocean Drive strip. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. They do have a thumping bar/restaurant/pool area that goes until midnight on week nights so not the place if you want quiet but great if you want a lively party all day at your doorstep. Great rooftop lounge area with spectacular views.

We got off our cruise and arrived at the hotel around 10 a.m.. We knew we could not check in so we asked Michelle if we could secure our luggage until check in. She was very friendly and helpful and got our luggage secured right away so that we could go have lunch and sight see. We returned at 3:30 p.m. and our room was ready. Stani got us all checked in and went over all of the resort and stay info. She was also very friendly and helpful. We expected the room to be dated since this is a historic hotel. To our surprise, the room was nice and comfortable. We were right above the patio and bar and enjoy listening to the music without leaving our room. We brought ear plugs for when we decide to go to sleep. Definitely a great spot for adults looking for a good time and not a snooze fest.

I come to the bar every once in a while to chill out after the beach, but when I was greeted by Piper the hostess, she made my experience memorable! She answered all of my questions with a positive attitude and she made sure I got the proper seating to see everything the place had to offer. Had a great time!

A vibrant bar/club with dancing vibes! Just ordered dynamite shrimp and French fries which were pretty good. The drinks were spot on and the ambiance was lit! The service was slow but not bad! There's a swimming pool inside it was closed when I visited but I believe it's open for public. The bar has seating around and there's plenty of space inside. We walked to Cleveland as our hotel was quite close and the beach is quite close from here too.

The Clevlander denied me access to the restaurant with my service dog for not having a "ID" for my dog. The ada law states: "No, businesses are not allowed to ask for documentation that a dog is a service animal. The American Disability Act (ADA) prohibits businesses from discriminating against people with disabilities, and requires them to allow service animals in areas where customers are permitted" This is not only illegal, but it is also blatant discrimination. The "IDs" they are asking for are fake scams that are sold online. Security guards were extremely disrespectful regarding this. They removed me from the establishment. I contacted the department of disabilities rights for Florida and hope that moving forward this establishment is able to rectify this.

The Clevelander isn't really a spot you go to to end the night; it's more of a stop on the path to your final destination. The drinks here are perfect for large parties, whether it be for a party of 10 or 1. The drinks come in a variety of sizes (regular, 45 oz, pitcher), and they don't skimp on the alcohol! I've never been to the Clevelander at night, but from the many times I've visited, I've always had a good time. The Clevelander is in a prime location on South Beach and though they have a pool, I wouldn't recommend going in it... The MC is always interactive and gets the crowd going with free drinks and games.

There are a ton of bars along the street of South Beach but if you're looking for that hot pink Miami vibe with cute girls then this might just be the spot. Clevelander kind of reminded me of day club in Vegas, except on a much much smaller scale and not as flashy. The cost of the drinks were definitely on the higher side but our bartender definitely made sure to put a lot of alcohol in there for me. We didn't stay too long because we wanted to keep exploring but it was a nice little outdoor bar to grab a drink at.

This hotel was fun and GREAT LOCATION, but had a lot of negatives. Upon check in, we were not greeted and the front desk man just asked for our name. He then told us we were upgraded to a Rockstar room. He gave us frozen cocktails and we went to our room. First impression: if we were upgraded, what would the other room have looked like? It was small, but fine since we didn't plan to be in the room much. The building was old and I would have never paid more than we did for an "upgraded room". The shower water pressure was a "rain" shower head, but it took me SO long to wash my hair since it was just trickling. It was bad. Our room overlooked the pool which was BUMPING until 5 am. We sang along to every word of every song - that is how loud it is. It felt like we were fully sleeping in a night club. We knew what we were in for though and since we were in party mode it was ok. I can't imagine my parents or someone thinking they were just going on a regular beach vacation staying here though. Pros: Great people watching, comfortable bed, BEAUTIFUL views from the sundeck, fun pool party atmosphere, and incredible location. We really had a great time. Unfortunately when we came back from being out all day, we walked in the door to a soaking wet floor. All my shoes on the floor were drenched. The air conditioner broke/froze and leaked and the floor was soaked. We went to the front desk and they immediately sent an engineer and the manager up to make things right. He offered to waive our amenity fee which was great, until it was time for check out and the front desk was not notified of it. Luckily we gave so much detail and everyone's names that we interacted with that the woman waived it for us. She was SO friendly and also gave us frozen cocktails on the way out that were entirely different than whatever we received when we checked in. Another perk is the free coffee and croissant each morning at Bacon Bitch, beach towels, beach chairs, bike rentals, etc. We had a lot of fun here, but would choose to stay at an updated hotel next time.

This was just witnessed...a bar back used his bare hands to move around the ice. One would think that after Covid, things would be more sanitary

The Clevender help to jump start my birthday trip, in South Beach Miami! This restaurant/bar is located directly across the street from the beach. The ambiance is that of somewhere in the Carribbean. There is a checkpoint for identification and items carried. The prohibited items are listed on the signage. The security even saw my birth date and wished me a happy birthday. It's the little things. I was immediately seated and chose the high chair and table. The wait was very kind and quickly informed me of the menu options. I made my order and proceeded to record my YouTube vlog, for my birthday. The music wasn't too loud and no one disturbed me. I ordered the 'Bang Bang Shrimp' tacos and a mimosa. The shrimp were AMAZING! I am a light eater, but was tempted to order another round. I need their recipe for those shrimp tacos! The waiter was patient to check on me and allowed me time to enjoy the environment. They have outside fans, but there was also a breeze. The pricing was expected for a business on the beach. I will come back, just for those "Bang Bang Shrimp" tacos!

I've been here during a couple different vacations for drinks and snacks. It's a great location for people watching. There is lots of eye candy within as well. They have fun games and DJ. I saw more than one person fall while I was there so around the pool does seem to be a constant hazard, but I bet that's a struggle with wet feet walking in and out of the pool + heavy drinking, etc. They had some good drink deals including beer pitchers with $5 shots. Great service and like I said, this is the perfect location to watch the surroundings. Bien venido a Miami!

I came here on a random summer Friday for a solo lunch. I didn't plan on stopping here but the DJ was playing all the right songs and I couldn't help but to walk in. It's pricey, but hey, it's South Beach - I honestly didn't expect anything less. For 1 drink and 1 burger (which were both delicious) I paid $55. The bartender was amazing and even remade my drink at no charge when I accidentally spilled it on myself. DJ was amazing the whole time - playing back to back hits. I wished I brought my swimsuit because it was a hot day and the pool was open. Folks in the pool looked like they were having a good time! Highly recommend!

Cool lively spot for a cocktail. Would come back to watch a game. Good music. A block away from the beach. It's on the pricier side. Really tasted the watermelon and mint in the mojito.

Awful experience. This hotel is very different from the pictures. Our room was gross, stinky and dirty, so was the hotel. No front desk upon arrival and the hotel door was locked. The bed had no sheets and the pillows were super thick and uncomfortable. The staff were slamming the doors for hours while cleaning in the morning. We booked this through capital one travel where it was falsely advertised as a 4 star hotel with gorgeous rooms. It was hardly a 3 star hotel. We left the next morning and it caused major inconvenience in our short trip.

So far so good... some things to be aware of for spring break youths: parking is scarce, overnight valet is $49+ tax for one night until 12pm the following day, normal booking fees vary however, a $100 incidentals fee is needed on site per room. Valet fee comes out of this, as well as the necessary $34 resort fee. Keep in mind: this is an adults only hotel, guests must be over 21! Security was very unprofessional and delivered college fraternity brother service.

While expensive, the food here is phenomenal. We tried fries wings l, wing, fish bites, and Nachos. Outside of the stale chips, everything was good. The best part of the experience was definitely the shrimp burger. It was absolutely divine and I would recommend. The Ambiance emits a party scene. The server was actually really good and attentive.

Terrible place, overpriced and sometimes when you go and is slow no bartenders crazy I paid $30 for one margarita get your money and go somewhere else

This place has been around for a while. Stopped in here to do the tourist thing as I was with a visiting friend. Drinks are a bit costly and includes service charge, tax, and city fees, but this is to be expected as it's south beach. It was midday and the sun was out. The outdoor bar is adequately shaded and service was fast. Nothing special or outstanding. Good place to people watch.

Tried and true. One of the best and only sports bar in SOBE. Always a good time. The pool helps too:)

This review is from a few occasions that we stopped in all together. The first experience was way better than the others. First off, I have to saw I wanted to come here because I am a huge Dan Marino and Miami Dolphins fan. It got put on my bucket list when researching bars to watch the Miami game at in South Beach. We stopped in on Friday and were the only people in the bar. Kind of shocking on how dead it was, but it helped with getting good service. Our bartender was super sweet and chatty. She made us some delicious cocktails that are Miami priced so we only had 1. She chatted with us about the bar's Halloween theme and how the weekend was planned out. The decor is so much fun here. That is what ultimately got me to come by. Love all of the signage and fun Miami Dolphins stuff on the walls. The 2nd time we tried to stop but the line outside was insane. As I have gotten older the more and more, I don't wait in lines to get in to places. So, we left. The 3rd time the line was a bit long out front but remembered the bartender from the first night mentioned a side entrance. We found that, checked in with the bouncer and sat at the bar. We sat for a few minutes before I stepped away to use the restroom. The restroom is located in a whole different part of the building. When I got back, my husband was still sitting at the bar with zero service from the bartender. Btw, there were about 8-10 people inside, so not crazy busy or anything. Everyone else was outside with the outside bar. We waiting a few more minutes without even a hey, I'll be right with you before we just got up and left. Slightly disappointing for a place that seemed like such a cool spot on Ocean.

Jehvorn checked us in at the Clevelander. He was friendly and helpful. When we got to the room, it was tiny. It reminded me of a dorm room. We had complimentary drinks from the front desk and there was nowhere to put it down when we got in the room. There was a tiny nightstand, but there was little space on it as the telephone occupied it. We eventually found room on the windowsill to stash our belongings. The view from our room was nice. We saw the beach and Ocean Drive. The location was perfect because we just walked pretty much everywhere the whole time. The bad part is finding parking. I don't even remember where we parked, but finding a place then hauling all our luggage was a pain especially in the heat.

Drinks were weak tasked like sugar water and was lied to when came in, was told can ask to change music. The manager however, was rude and had zero customer service skills, coldly stated needed I to wait an hour for the dj to arrive and the music will not change and walked away. Would not recommend

Sitting at the bar waiting for service while the bartenders are talking to each other. Apparently I arrived during shift change. No worries I moved to the other bar and was greeted and served immediately by Ashley. There was a small pool available to use while drinking and dining. I wasn't appropriately dressed for a dip but enjoyed a local beer before the rain started.

Juan Carlos & Michelle were very attentive and went out of their way to accommodate us! That means a lot while on vacatio. Marie in house keeping was also attentive. She cleaned our room with LOVE! I'm sure all 3 of them are a great asset to this Hotel.

sometimes it's not the hotel but the people who make the hotel and when I tell you, Michelle at the front desk is exceptional she handled every single thing for every single person. I watched her personally do this, and she was great to be involved with you guys truly have a gem. I will only come back for her. She made my birthday special. I'm truly thankful.

Clevelander is as close to Cheer's as Ocean Drive gets! Anything from watching NBA and NFL games, I've been here for regular weekend bites and most recently for Kristina Sky's "United We Groove" mix set for Miami Music Week. Held at their C-Level Rooftop, her sunset mix set is as epic a rave site as you can get. I would dare say it was even better than Paul Oakenfold at the Great Wall of China for "Hypnotized". It's not white table cloth dining, but I've always gotten solid service. Mojito pours are pretty good for social lubrication, especially downstairs. Fries are always hot, and bar staples (spicy wings dripping in sauce, burgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches) are delicious. At least for the more hectic Miami Music Week the rooftop menu was limited to certain cocktails, but my vodka and pineapple was buzzworthy and my chicken wings were hot and well-flavored. There are plenty of TVs at the downstairs bar, to the point you feel like a sports-obsessed mad scientist, bantering with the bartenders and the other fans sitting around you. Acoustics were great during the show, and that sunset view was awesome. The only thing that would make it better was for Music Week to coincide with full moon :) They do charge a cover charge for fights or big sporting events and have an automatic tip but based on my last experiences it has been worth it! Much improved as a sports bar and glad I've been back!

Service is horrible we were there on Friday they were not at all busy it takes forever to get served and they are crazy overpriced I get that it's a beach and tourist trap but it was over an hr for the worst bang bang shrimp on the planet I've literally fished with bigger bait shrimp then the I maybe 6 pieces they served which was not bang bang it was not spicy it was over cooked and terrible, 96.00 for 2 drinks and a plate of that alleged bang bang shrimp, it was a nice place but the service ,quality and portions went way down and the price way up since my last visit

Michelle the front desk is my girl!!! She's the best very helpful and very sweet she had a lot of passion with me and my friends the days we stayed there. I really recommend this hotel very clean very good staff. I'll come back for sure .

A wonderful location on South Beach to watch the game. Drinks are pricy and parking is limited, but the experience is bar none. The wait staff are lovely. I highly recommend.

we always love stopping in at the Clevelander -- there is no place like it! Even last June, when we got caught in a scary thunderstorm, Renata made it into a fun experience. we will be at the Clevelander every time we visit South Beach!

The location is great and ambiance is eye catching. I came here strictly for drinks and was highly disappointed. A friend and I were sharing the 45oz drink w two extra shots and it was WEAK. We pretty much paid $60 for juice only. The fact that two girls did not get a buzz with a 45oz shows the lack of alcohol. Extremely disappointed!

The drinks are watered down and overpriced. The service was subpar. The food is also overpriced and the portions are minimal at best. The fucking place sucks.

The Hotel is party central. If that's what you are looking for, look no farther. If you book a room and decide you want a more quiet experience, the staff is more than accommodating. They have a sister property called Essex House and they will send you there and help make you more comfortable. The music plays until around 3 am. It's very quiet, safe and peaceful there. Shout out to the staff Chris and Michelle, and the others at the Essex. Very cool people and very friendly! Take plenty of plastic for your Miami Beach experience. They extra tip/sure charges on top of your bill ( does not include tips)can be pricey. Bacon bitch has bomb coffee. They made sure her eggs were warm and said.. "your eggs good bitch?" LOL. ONLY IN MIAMI--

The Clevelander Bar is located on Ocean Dr & 10th St. The music is awesome here and if you are with the right crowd, you'll have a blast at this Outside Bar. It has a great atmosphere and multiple bar areas. I did notice though that cocktails have very little alcohol...I ordered a "Mega Mojito" and was nervous to drink the entire cocktail by myself but it really felt like a virgin Mojito, I didn't mind much as we were just bar hopping. Overall, a pretty cool spot.

We stayed at this hotel and also attempted to hang out at the bar/pool. The hotel room is small & cozy but it does the trick and was clean. The front desk hotel staff were so rude. They were very busy the day we came though so we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now... the pool staff is just ridiculous. They all tell you a different story regarding the cover charge and where you can sit. Also they automatically charge you 20% tip on your bill so none of their servers try. Overall, wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely the worse service for drinks and eats. Security folks at the entrance having people lift their shirts (woman included) above their belly is laughable. Meanwhile you could have a weapon in your back or ankle and never have it detected. Security folks are a joke and rude to customers. Waitress for our table during a slow time was horrible, meanwhile, you have three bartenders all on their cell phones while customers are waiting to be served. The automatic built-in tip only results in piss poor service because they don't have to truly work for their tips. I wouldn't go back to this hole if I were paid.

I came here for drinks and vibes with my group of girls while on vacation. The place was cool and had a nice ambiance but nothing to write home about. Also, the drinks were pretty mid, I was excited to try the kiss my peach and south beach hurricane and both drinks were a bit disappointing. I wouldn't mind going there again for vibes though.

If there is zero star i would give one. The drinks are over rated. They overcharged your drink, $48 without any alcohol and the waitress is super slow.

I've been coming here for over a decade and this place is not like it used to be at all. From the menus to the management to the quality of things. It's just trash The drinks are watered down, even the liquor in the bottles. They're overpriced Af. They automatically include their gratuity but the servers will urge you to tip more because they "only get 10% of the 21%" .. if you're doing your job I'm going to tip accordingly The nachos were cold and the chicken tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. The nacho cheese was cold. The chili was really good, hence why there's no photo of the chili left lol. It is a little spicy The hookah was trash, and they did not come check on it at all. Not worth $80, bring a vape The shrimp tacos are just bang bang shrimp in a taco, but they were decent We really only came here to watch the patriots game. They have flags of each team on the tvs so you know where to sit to enjoy your game. (They will not change the tvs for you) I returned the nachos because they were disgusting, the manager advised he took them off the bill. Once we swiped our card we realized they nachos were still on there. I informed our server and 20 minutes later she brought over the right check, and once again explained about the tip. Probably would come back but just to watch football, and maybe drink on someone else's dime. Not worth my hard earned money

Will be returning here every time I'm in miami. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean. The rooms are good size. Food is good. Drinks are not so good but I can work with that. Music is always on point. Had a blast!

Went to the bar to watch the game the frozen drinks are all amazing also got the kids my peach drink I recommend. Had the bang bang tacos must try for sure the but chips and salsa are the hidden gem for sure !!! Must have the chips as salsa!! Let's say the servers are also super cute and do give you a booty show in there shorts. Big huge tvs to watch the games on and great music to listen too all outside on the patio.

My friend and I had a great stay. Michelle went above and beyond to take care of us by keeping our bags safe when we arrived early, answering any questions, and allowing us to check out later. Would recommend.
