The Best Soups in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"While it’s hard to go wrong with ramen (microwaveable versions included), Clever Koi’s hearty duck ramen rises above the rest with its distinct blend of flavors. The colorful dish features tender noodles in a rich dashi broth with a confit duck leg topped with a soft egg, bean sprouts, mushrooms, scallions, and sweet-and-tangy gastrique onions. And while it makes for a great takeout or delivery option, better to savor the full experience at the restaurant — known for its warm, modern atmosphere." - Jamie Phillis

Bars and Nightlife in Phoenix

"A craft cocktail bar and restaurant all in one. The bar has an exciting variety of beer, wine, and sake, but it’s worth a visit just for the cocktail menu. There are all of the classics you know and love along with originals like the Summer Nights, which is made with mezcal, Madeira, aquafaba, and jalapeño pineapple gum syrup. The open kitchen serves dishes inspired by cuisines from Thailand, Korea, China, and Japan. Make time for the daily happy hour that runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and features $9 cocktails, $1 off craft beer, and $2 off wine by the glass. There’s also another location in Downtown Gilbert." - MATADOR_NETWORK

The Best Ramen Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Clever Koi is as much a night-out destination as it is a ramen mainstay thanks to its stylish atmosphere and incredible lineup of cocktails like the shareable scorpion made with rum, gin, brandy, orange, lime, orgeat, and passion fruit. Plus, it recently introduced two brand-new ramen dishes, the vegan shoyu ramen and the spicy kimchi ramen and revamped a go-to on the regular menu, lemon pepper chicken ramen." - Jamie Phillis

Google
The cutest place! 5 stars for atmosphere. Food was really good...not excellent, but good. Some of the appetizers weren't served hot, more like room temp, and I found the pork belly and some of the other meats a little tough, perhaps overcooked. Flavor-wise and portion-wise though, I was pleased. I also will mention that whatever Riesling was on their wine menu (didn't get a pic) was delicious! Service however...not good. Our waitress had no personality and was literally so unhelpful. She seemed like she might know some of the answers to our questions but she didn't really talk or engage with us-it was like pulling teeth. This is a fusion restaurant, so people are going to have questions about menu items and she didn't explain or even recommend anything. It still will not prevent me from going back but definitely a different waitress :)

Google
Went to Clever Koi for my birthday dinner and it was fantastic! Got the short rib dumplings, miso shoyu ramen, tonkotsu ramen, orange chicken, katsu sando, some cocktails, and the entire dessert menu! Great service and amazing flavors. The noodles were the perfect consistency and broth was deep in flavor without being overwhelming.

Google
This is a good fusion spot. The bao appetizer was not the best. The chicken was delicious and cooked well, but the Korean pork and the pork belly were fried to a flavor limiting crisp. The XO Noodles and the Orange Chicken were delicious and a great marriage of spice and fresh ingredients.

Google
The place looks amazing. Plants everywhere. Good service from the hostess and waiter. But not a single Asian person in the kitchen, seems ood for a Asian inspired restaurant Short rib dumplings tasted like wet slimy tortilla with dog food soaking in battery acid. Couldn’t finish one.im sorry… Ramen wasn’t bad but it was flat…Crispy pork in the ramen was actually really good though but honestly I left more impressed with the chairs and plants than the food.

Google
Food was excellent! My wife and I went here for a Saturday lunch and was sat immediately, super chill vibe, we both had the Fried rice with steak and it was cooked perfectly, so flavorful and great experience overall. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Google
My friends and I were looking for Korean food as that was what our friend celebrating her 15th birthday had asked for. And we were delighted to have chosen Clever Koi! The food was scrumptious and the servers were very friendly and patient...even taking birthday photos! We were very lucky to have beautiful weather on the outside patio. There was even a special birthday dessert! Highly recommended and thank you! 🌹

Google
Cute spot for ramen and other foods. I tried the fried rice with bulgolgi beef. The rice had tons of flavor but I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef or the taste. They also had hot chicken buns that were flavorful. They offer a variety of cocktails and the place has a nice atmosphere. Overall a good first try but not sure how often I’d be back. I may come back once more to try one of the ramen dishes.

The food was yummy. Great location in downtown Phoenix. Excellent service.

Yelp
Well, the sign out front did say "best ramen in AZ", and I can't disagree. We ordered take out through door dash, with the option to pick up ourselves. The ordering process was very easy. This place looked really cool to dine in at, and there was a parking lot behind the building. There was indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Miso Shoyu Chicken Ramen and my husband ordered the Pork Tonkotsu Ramen. They were both absolutely incredible. The broth was very flavorful and rich. I can't wait to dine in one day and try some of the other delicious looking items on the menu.

Yelp
A delightful find in Central Phoenix During a recent visit to Central Phoenix, I stumbled upon Clever Koi, a ramen restaurant that boasts strong reviews on Yelp. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try and overall, it did not disappoint. We started our meal with the calamari fries, which were an absolute delight. The crispy calamari paired beautifully with the yuzu kosho dressing, offering a perfect balance of citrusy heat, while the bits of parsley added a fresh touch to the dish. Equally impressive were the pork belly fries, where the rich, savory pork belly bits were complemented perfectly by the sweet and tangy hoisin sauce, making for a satisfying appetizer duo. The restaurant's ambience is a highlight, featuring dim lighting, flickering candles, and a relaxed music selection that creates an inviting atmosphere ideal for an intimate dinner or a casual night out with friends over tasty cocktails. Speaking of drinks, I tried the Mai Tai and a berry soda cocktail, both of which were enjoyable. As someone who appreciates fruity cocktails, I found them refreshing, though I personally favored the Mai Tai for its well-balanced flavors. For the main course, we opted for the tonkotsu ramen and the fried rice. While both dishes were flavorful, they didn't quite leave a lasting impression. They were enjoyable but didn't stand out compared to the appetizers and drinks. Service-wise, the staff were friendly and welcoming, though the initial wait to place our order took longer than expected. Despite this minor setback, the overall experience was positive, and I would definitely return to explore more items on their menu. If you're in the area and looking for a spot with great appetizers, a cozy ambiance, and solid cocktails, Clever Koi is worth a visit.

Yelp
Tldr: overall I had a good experience here and service was very good. I might be back for Pina colada and steamed bun but not for the main dishes. We came on a weekday so we did the $70 deal (4 classic drinks and 2 entries). Basically, you get 50% off for 2 drinks. For the drinks, we ordered Pina colada and Paloma. Pina colada was pretty good but Paloma wasn't. It's a bit flat so don't order Paloma. For food, we order - 3 steamed bun: hot chicken, pork belly and the featured one (forgot what it was). They were good. Pork belly was my husband's favorite of the 3. - Shaking beef: it was fine (not great) but was a bit salty. Beef was tender. - XO noodles: I should have sent this one back. I thought shaking beef was salty but this one was tooooooo salty, not enjoyable. I don't know if it's always this salty or it's a one of but I did feel disappointed and by the time I thought it should have been sent back, it was too late. There were 2 small scallops and ~5 small shrimps. They were cooked well (not overcooked). For dessert, we ordered the banana fritter ($9). They were okay. I most likely won't order it again.

Yelp
WOW!!! This easily has become one of my top favorite restaurants in all of arizona! I called to get an evening spot and they were able to get us in. Eveything was incredible! My favorite dishes were the hot chicken & pork belly bait bun AND the kimchi Carbonara. The flavors are so unique and delicious. Our waiter Keith was very kind and ambiance was perfect. 10/10!!!! Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Visited here on a Sunday night. Table seating was unavailable so I sat at the bar. I ordered the Pork Tonkontsu Ramen. I felt the flavor was a little flat. Clever Koi has an upbeat atmosphere but the food just didn't have enough flavor to justify a second visit

Yelp
Pretty tasty! Everything we had was flavorful. Really love the variety of things they have on the menu. The space is really pretty. It's perfect for date nights or a night out w a small-ish group of friends. We sat on the patio and it was lovely with all the lights they have set up and the sunset in the background. The best thing we had by far was the XO noodles. It was rich and bold and plentiful. We tried all 3 Bao and the pork belly definitely reigned supreme - the others were good but not great. The tempura mushrooms were crispy and delicious. My favorite cocktail was the Nutty by Nature! So decadent. All drinks were above average.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance, food and staff were all excellent. This restaurant served me an outstanding bowl of ramen. My companion had the buns stuffed with hot chicken. Our cocktails were on a whole different level. First, I don't care for gin at all. But the server pointed to The Trees Have Eyes, which has a rosemary infused gin base. It was outstanding. A little medicinal and I don't know what needed curing but it worked. Companion had a tequila based drink with watermelon flavor called Don't Eat the Seeds. It was awesome also. I'll be back to try more items. And more cocktails.

Yelp
I didn't realize this place was down the street from my place!! The drinks were beautiful and delicious (definitely one of the best mai tai's i've had). The service was top notch and the vibes were spectacular. I will be coming back ASAP

Yelp
Great food and drinks at decent prices, especially during their happy hour. The ambience is chill and beautiful. Service is always great! Keeps us coming back.

Yelp
Who knew Phoenix has great Asian food. This place is not your typical Asian fusion place that pales into comparison to Asian restaurants. This place has flavor! At first, there was a long lag time when we got helped. Then Gary took care of us and he was excellent. The showstopper was the short rib dumplings. Take it from me, get the extra dumplings. They are worth it! The Bao buns were good. We had the fried chicken and pork banh mi. The pork was better, but both were tasty. My companion raved about the calamari fries. They were so unique and flavorful. We wanted to order the banana fritters, but alas, they were just making the batter and it wasn't going to be ready for another 45 min. It is a smaller place, however, they do have patio seating with misters to stay cool. Bathrooms were clean. There are only 2 stalls. Overall, like Arnold says, "I'll be back!"

Yelp
First impressions are everything and when I say this place was stunning! The open walkway through and large wide windows to see in as you walk were perfection. It felt like a classy runway walk lol. Then the little touches of colored Christmas lights for December gave it this really cool vintage 1960's vibe. The hostesses were super warm and friendly and quick to help. We had a party of 5 friends and they seated us outdoors under heat lamps. The only negative were the one directly above ours must not have been working as it was the only one off. So it was a little chilly without it. The only other negative was the end two seats of the long table where I had to sit was right next to an overgrown bush so I felt like I was fighting off greens the entire night management just needs to trim it way back. It did make seating uncomfortable for two of us though. They had two large unisex bathrooms but unfortunately men that used both prior to us over the course of the evening not only left seats up but urine everywhere! We both commented afterwards how gross i"the toilets were. I'd prefer male/female stalls for this reason. Or at least have a toilet and a urinal so the men can be messy in the urinal only hopefully. I cannot recommend the Lemongrass spritzer drink enough!! I've never had anything quite like it and I am in love!! Most of us loved our food but we did agree the Thai salad was pretty bland and although we paid $6 to add chicken there were only a few pieces. But overall the variety of food we got was fabulous and tasted just like you would imagine from the menu pictures. Large portions too so super yummy. The server was great! He was always available, knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. I'm sure to come back again.

Yelp
Start at The Clever Koi for drinks, then head over to the Other Side of the Pond for sushi...which is what we didn't do but was recommended by my brother-in-law :( next time though!! However, Caleb, our bartender was amazing. Recommended the whiskey sour which was way yummy. I can't recall which ramen I ordered but I do recommend the pork belly bun.
google avatar

Yelp
I would HIGHLY recommend visiting from Monday through Wednesday. When I went, they had a special called "It Takes Two" -- $70 for two main dishes and FOUR classic cocktails (in the "classics" section of the menu) or a bottle of wine! That was such a good deal that we couldn't pass it up. I got the miso chicken ramen and my friend got a dry noodle dish. The bowl of ramen was so huge that we ended up sharing it. The food had a good flavor and the server was attentive and made sure we had what we needed! The interior of the restaurant was a bit dark at first, but it was an enjoyable atmosphere once we got used to it.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday night to grab a bite to eat. The bao buns are a must and they are all good you can't go wrong. I love the pork belly and the cauliflower. The short rib dumplings were delicious and come with a yummy broth that you can't get enough of. To split we got the fried rice and the miso chicken ramen with a spice bomb. The ramen was flavorful and amazing. The fried rice was great and even better the next day as leftovers! For drinks I love their Pina colada and Mai. This is a central Phoenix staple you must check out!
google avatar

Valerie W.

Yelp
I was skeptical of how much I would like this place because it honestly seemed like a place that people came for the atmosphere instead of the food itself. I'm also skeptical of asian-fusion restaurants thinking the flavors of traditional asian dishes would be lost, but I was wrong. Not only was the ambiance here great, very chill and modern vibes with youthful energy. I ordered the pork ramen and the meat was tender, noodles were cooked well, and the broth was tasty. Service was great, came to check up on us and refilled water without asking.
google avatar

Thomas P.

Yelp
Had a great lunch with the fam the other day. I hadn't been here in a long time and was glad we came. Food was delicious.
google avatar

Kaylee P.

Yelp
Glad I came here to try this place. I will come back to try different things but not anytime soon. My friend and I ordered the chow mein with chicken & xo noodles. Both noodles were an overcooked but we didn't want to say anything since they seemed extremely busy. The xo noodles shrimp was super tiny & no pork belly in sight. I recommend adding an additional protein to the both noodle dishes Service was great and ambiance was a friendly environment. If you care about scent, I would sit away from the wok (such as the outside area) since the smell definitely stained my friends and I clothes but we didn't mind. I definitely recommend coming to eat here with friends or a date night! I would come back to try different items but I'm not craving to come back here unless someone else mentions it. Still give this place a 5 star because of service and ambiance.
google avatar

Ray S.

Yelp
(To go order) Noodles and steak were delicious. The steamed bun pork belly had a nice topping but pork belly itself wasn't that great. The biggest disappointment was the +$10 bulgogi steak being no more than 6 small pieces. It tasted good but for the price, it was not worth it. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The staff were friendly and I got my food relatively soon. I would go back and dine in during happy hour to try other dishes.
google avatar

Sam C.

Yelp
FANTASTIC! Great drinks, vibes, and noodles. Would recommend the shaking beef, carbonara, and long thailand
google avatar

Bryan S.

Yelp
Been here several times and the food is amazing. I looked up hours and saw the Shaking Beef reviews and pictures and then had to try it. So delicious. I also got a pork belly steam bun, which one was not enough so ordered another one. I was so satisfied and full when I left. Highly recommend as the food and service is amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the Clever Koi and have been here several times. The location is great with plenty of parking and the inside is chill. I love the patio and really enjoy all the metal work and plants. The service is always top notch and super friendly. The food is amazing. It's delicious and both innovative and comfort food. I have tried almost everything on the menu and love it all. The homemade pickles are to die for. Please jar and sell them! The drinks are superb. This is one of my favorite spots and I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Amy R.

Yelp
It's ok I feel like it's over priced and it's super loud so if you want to talk to pepper you're there with good luck! Parking is a pain. I've had the Thai salad 5/10 too much cumin or a spice that is very over powering. Pork belly , and soft shell crab steam bun was 6/10 outside texture was not the best The shaken beef, 5/10 was super spicy and the beef was tough. Ramen is ok nothing special to me. Mushrooms were also just ok.
google avatar

Xavier T.

Yelp
We were on a road trip driving through Phoenix and stopped by this place since it has decent rating eye catching food pics. However we ended up disappointed. The food was mediocre to bad. There was a lack of flavor in all the main dishes, but the calamari fries were especially salty. There was a sign that says "voted best ramen in Arizona" by some newspaper in the front of the store, so we got excited and ordered a ramen. If this tonkotsu ramen bowl were the best in Arizona then I feel bad for the state of Arizona. The broth was bland and the meat was so dry. The cocktail was pretty good though, bravo to the bartenders! Service was nice but slow. We were late on our itinerary so we tried to eat fast and continue our trip, but after we finished eating, our waitress was no where to be found. We waited for a whole 10 minutes before we coud hand her our card, then another 5 minutes to get it back.
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
Loved the food here, Appetizers were the spotlight we also did get the calamari fries and avocado crab ragoons. We devoured those so no photos unfortunately. Noodles wasn't anything special we ended up just boxing up the noodles. Cocktails were super refreshing and tasted great. 1 star off due to how crammed we felt and sitting next to the restroom. It was also very hot in there it is nice to watch them make all the food hot and fresh but we were sweating inside which made it hard to eat.
google avatar

Camille W.

Yelp
What a delightful place to enjoy lunch with my dad while in town! The restaurant is stylish with an enjoyable ambiance. The highlight was the food. The XO Noodles were delightful - super tasty and fresh. The cocktails were also excellent. The service was top notch and I'll definitely prioritize visiting again next time I'm in town! Very pleased with my visit!
google avatar

Alvin N.

Yelp
I had the Krazy Fries where the pork belly was very crispy and the hoisin sauce on the fries gave it a lot of flavor. For my main dish, the fried rice with orange chicken had a lot of spices, and the chicken had a refreshing citrus flavor. I also had the kimchi carbonara, which had a subtle hint of kimchi that didn't overwhelm the creamy pasta. Overall, a delicious mix of bold, balanced flavors--a great first dining experience in Arizona to try if you're looking for Asian-fusion dishes. The restaurant environment was very cozy with service being excellent all around.

Yelp
Came on Saturday afternoon & the service was great they were very fast with everything. My favorite drink was their long Thailand ice tea, I could not get enough . Their pork belly bao was also delicious . I also got their drunken noodles & crab Rangoons and those were really good as well. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of the menu ! The atmosphere wasn't too loud just right w a simple good vibe.

Yelp
My family and I went to this location last week Thursday after 6 PM. Our daughter found this location via TikTok and Her. The food was very good. This location is very small, but they do have parking behind the restaurant and have a partner restaurant next-door for sushi and drinks as well. We had to wait about an hour or so for our table to be available because they were very busy . After we were seated, our server was amazing and the manager kept checking on our table as well and thanking us for the patience while we were waiting for our table of seven. We start order with chicken Ramen with scrambled egg instead of a soft egg to pork Ramen, the fried rice dish, the calamari fries and a catfish dish as well. All of our food had large portions very filling and delicious. Only complaint is the fried rice lack seasoning and needed more flavor. Also, the sodas come in cans with the glass at the table with ice so no free refills, unfortunately. We will definitely be back again and Her they have certain specials throughout the week which we would love to enjoy .

Yelp
I was really excited to come here as I've been trying to come here forever but for one reason or another I haven't been able to. I loved how the inside was set up the had these hello kitty's in the bar area that were so cute! We started with their "Krazy" fries which were amazing!! I could've just had that and I would've been fine. My husband got the pho which he wasn't too impressed with and I got the kimchi carbonara which I didn't end up liking. But apart from the food the server we had was super nice and helpful! I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, maybe for their happy hour? We'll see....

Yelp
We enjoyed Clever Koi for a group celebration dinner on a weeknight. Reservations were easy through open table and our table was ready on arrival. It was very very warm inside and honestly felt hot the entire time. With an open kitchen concept and what appears to be two AC units in the middle of the restaurant; it's not super surprising it couldn't keep up. Just bear this in mind. They have a delightful cocktail menu and are willing to turn any of them into mocktails. Yum! This is important to me. The avocado crab rangoons were delicious. The drunken noodles were pretty good as well. The chicken katsu sandwich was a different take (as expected). Not good enough to replace the original in our heads, but still a solid option. Our server was fairly attentive, but seemed spread a little thin. With how hot it was in there, it would've been nice to have iced water more regularly flowing. The best refuge from the heat was the bathroom! We might have actually been cooler sitting on the patio under the misters. Worth it, would go back, but not during a heat wave day.

Yelp
I actually really enjoyed dining here with family. The ambiance was intimate , soft lighting . The staff were friendly and welcoming . We had such a good time, I decided to return alone while in town. Service was great . The food was thai with a twist and delicious. The drinks are good depending on the day I guess (or maybe the hour) 1st time they were good (tasty but weak) 2nd time we just came for drinks while waiting for our tablw at rheir sister restaurant (tasty and strong, perfect) and last time when I went alone they were tasty and weak ... all times very good though. I saw if you're ever in town, definitely swing by . Get the Thailand tea (yummmm)

Yelp
Went to Clever Koi for the first time today and had a great experience. They have a huge food and drink menu that consists of many different drinks and dishes. On their drink menu they have a wide variety of original cocktails along with the standard drinks as well. And their food menu consists of appetizers that are American/Asian fusion, steamed buns, ramen, dumplings, and different entrees made in a wok. We got their korean chicken and pork belly steamed buns, chicken katsu, and bulgogi steak fried rice. All of them were decent size portions and had amazing flavor. The restaurant looks really nice and the staff were super friendly and attentive. I was unsure of what type of drink I wanted but I knew I wanted something with tequila in it so our waitress let me sample a couple different tequilas and gave a great recommendation as to which drink to choose. The only thing is that they're located kind of in the middle of nowhere but this place is definitely a gem. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a bite to eat or a great date spot. Also don't forget to check in because they give you a free steamed bun!

Yelp
This was a great find but i have mixed feelings about this place. Now make a reservation especially if it's Friday first and foremost. We are huge fans of Ramen and always are looking for a place to top Tochin in NYC. Its super hard to beat i get it but im pretty fair when it comes to this.... that being said i had the pleasure of tasting all three ramen. All of them hands down broth is amazing! The noodles.... I didn't finish or even make a dent in my ramen because of the noodles. I cant explain the texture and the thought still makes me squirm. My opinion again but i did not like it at all. The broth was super yummy and the veggies were excellent, but i couldn't get past the texture of the noodles. The other ramens were completely eaten my family so again my opinion. Now the buns were amazing. The chicken in particular. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back to try other dishes as this is a super cute spot and i do have high hope's.
google avatar

Keaira K.

Yelp
Absolutely nothing special about this place. Ramen broth seemed watered down and flavorless. The noodles reminded me exactly of the packaged ramen you get at the store for 50 cents. Drinks were weak and very expensive.

Yelp
Another yummy Ramen spot for the books ! I am a huge ramen fan, so when I saw this on Tik Tok , I had to try for myself . The crew/ staff were very kind and welcoming ! As well very informative on what to get on the menu . My boyfriend I order the Krazy fries as a starter appetizer and boy were they yummy loved the Aïoli sauce they topped it with very flavorful . For the main entree we both got the miso ramen ! I will say I wanted spicy ramen and they gave me a chili sauce to pour into the ramen , I wasn't a huge fan I would've preferred the broth to be spicy and the egg I wasn't too found if it ! I was hoping for the more authentic soaked in broth egg it was more of a white non seasoned half boiled egg, and the ramen brother lacked a little flavor. Over it was a 5/10 ! I would've definitely given them them a 10/10 but the ramen itself was a tad bit bland with a bunch of toppings for looks I'd say ! The ambiance ? Was very warm and intimate I loved the lighting as well as the decore in the restaurant loved the fact they had an indoor outdoor dining ! We love that option ! I really I'd still recommend this spot you really cannot go too wrong with ramen .

Yelp
First time here and on a date - such a fun vibe! Food was just as good as it sounded on the menu. Bordeaux on the wines by the glass, stacked ramen options and the best Rangoon's I've ever had. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!! Note: it will be loud sitting inside on a Friday night

Yelp
We got a 1 hour wait time but were seated in 10 minutes. I got some steamed buns and dumplings. The pork steamed bun was delicious, I wish I had only gotten the pork. The hot chicken bun was really not that great. Service was good, and the bathrooms are very clean and spacious. All in all, good food but not super filling for the cost.

Ethan H.

Yelp
Very delicious. Cool atmosphere. Tried the dumplings, tacos, and pork belly ramen. Everything was packed with flavor

Yelp
Brought my dad here when we were out of town. The apps alone were so good we invited friends out and had a blast. We sat outside on a rare cool AZ afternoon and it was beautiful. Food was awesome! Definitely try the buns ! Savory and elevated options. I've also been to the Gilbert location and just as good! Service was just as great as the food at both locations. Try this spot! They have something for everyone!

Ava G.

Yelp
First off, the ambiance in the restaurant is great! The music was chill and the dim lighting makes for a cozy atmosphere. I really wish they had more booths because it would be such a cute date night spot! The tables are very close together, only negative thing I have to say about this restaurant. Our server was awesome! Really wish I had gotten his name but he took great care of us. We came for happy hour. The happy hour menu prices aren't anything crazy, 3$ off classic cocktails and 2$ off some food items. The food was delicious! We got the chicken katsu sandwich and the meat was SO JUICY!!! My girlfriend practically inhaled the sandwich. It also came with a thai salad which I have to say, was probably the best thai salad I've ever had!! The pornstar martini was to die for, and my old fashioned was basic but still delicious. Will definitely be back for the food!

Yelp
One of my top five places in central Phoenix. I've been here a number of times for happy hour and it's nothing short of a great time every time. They have an extensive classic drink Happy hour menu. My favorites are the Porn Star and their Mai Thai. We've only ordered food off of the appetizers and the buns I believe. The fries are great and the buns with crab are excellent. Even better if you're lucky you can get a drink in one of their kitschy glasses. Staff is fun and relaxed. Next time I'm going to try noodles or ramen.

Yelp
Solid food and good drinks. I had each of the steamed buns, the Krazy fries, and orange chicken and everything was delicious!

Yelp
Last time we visited this place it was soooooo good from device to the food and drink. Our server was very nice and I craved the ramen for days! We were so eager to come back and sadly were super disappointed. Our server had the personality of Wednesday from Adam's family. Our food was flavorless. Almost 200.00 later we left dissatisfied. :/

Yelp
Back to school isn't great for most kids but I try to at least make it less terrible. So daddy daughter dates must and will continue, since my oldest loves ramen took her to clever koi so she could enjoy some amazing creations that you can't find anywhere else. Like short rib dumplings, duck wings, and the XO noodles. I will say that the dumplings and the fried pickles that came on the side of the wings stole the show. Those dumplings though oh dumplings I will dream of you as the flavors just came alive with each bite and nothing could have topped that. Always a great spot though pricey however, when quality is what your in search of it's worth making someone you care about feel special.

Yelp
Recommend Clever Koi for a cute date night or a small group dinner. The indoor area is cozy cute with warm lighting. The Asian Fusion menu is interesting, but approachable. The cocktails were our favorite part of the meal, so when you visit you have to order your favorite. Everyone was pleased with their meal, and satisfied with the large portions. Next time I'm definitely ordering the Pork Belly Ramen, it looked incredible.

Yelp
Let me start by sayin, that it pains me to leave this review. This was my favorite Ramen place, but last night was a dumpster fire. We walk in and we're seated on the patio right away, at a tiny table for 2. I noticed several open tables, so I went to the hostess stand and asked if we could be moved to a slightly larger table. She advised, "those tables are for parties of more than two and there was already reservations for the table that I asked to be moved to", so I had to basically sit on my Louis Vuitton. We started with the buns. Our favorite was the pork belly. My friend ordered the Chow Mein and I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen. Our food was sooo greasy it wasn't even edible. I could see my reflection in the greasy soup. Our server was Alec and his customer service was non existent. When I told him that the table was too small and showed him that I had to sit on my purse, he could've cared less. The table I asked to be moved to (intended to seat 4) was seated with only 2 people. As a result, we were ignored while he tended to other patrons. I deliberately left my Yelp app open so that he could see I was ready to leave a review. He didn't care. Our bill came and after paying I asked to speak to the manager, so that I could voice my concerns. Alec advised that he was one of the managers on duty, so I asked to speak to someone else. Joshua came right over, listened and agreed our food was too greasy. I told him that this was one of my favorite restaurants, but our experience last night, left much to be desired. His customer service was top notch. He apologized and gave us a gift card that was equal to what was spent. If it wasn't for Joshua, I would've wrote this place off! He was so kind and understanding that I will give this place another try and hopefully it was just a bad night. I look forward to giving them another chance.

Yelp
cute on inside and maybe food for drinks only but the food is overpriced and not great. Wayyyy too much salt on food to the point it's hard to eat some of the dishes. Definitely disappointed

First time here started with a Yelp app free steamed bun , tried the hot chicken good tasting not too hot thank you for the Yelp offer . We both had ramen trying miso chicken & pork both tasty . We both didn't finish large bowels and brought ramen home. Large full bar inside down the south side also some bar ? seats in outside near the entry hall area . Told this group has opened newer sites in Scottsdale & Chandler . Sign in front said voted best ramen USA TODAY . Parking on the side and in rear . Clever name , concept , menu , & decor .
