CLINK.

Staying at this hotel, I decided to try their complimentary breakfast this morning — and it was a pleasant surprise! I ordered the pancakes, and they were excellent — crispy on the edges, soft and fluffy inside. The sausage was especially memorable, juicy and packed with flavor. The presentation was also nice, with the “CLINK” logo dusted on top of the pancakes — a fun touch. Overall, I would say this was a 5-star breakfast experience. I’m excited that I still have another morning here and hope to try more items on their breakfast menu during this trip. One more highlight is that the restaurant and hotel are located in a former jail, and they’ve preserved some of the old prison features and décor — definitely worth checking out while you dine.

Came in last Sunday with my besties (elementary & high school) we had a lovely brunch. Service was excellent and the food was ok. I didn't like their breakfast potatoes though and the Acai Bowl was a letdown (see the photos) This location is such a nice place to meet... in a gorgeous trendy hotel. Easy to find and Valet was amiable and affordable (I think it was $35.00) I had a French Martini and it was delicious! Respectfully Reviewed

Clink has bars in the thick brick walls and very uncomfortable wooden chairs. The green banquette looked much more comfortable. It is a Marriott restaurant. The food is adequate but nothing outstanding, exciting or innovative. However, how much can you do with breakfast? Prices are comparable for Beacon Hill which is an expensive part of an already expensive city.

We went out for a family birthday dinner. The place was beautiful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. You can enjoy the bar area outside of CLINK with appetizers with drinks and enjoy a variety of music. It was an enjoyable experience. The food was so delicious!! We lived the mussles and lamb was so tendered. I would recommend this place!

We have visited the Clink for lunch and dinner over the years nd are consistently impressed with the food, service and general atmosphere. Sean's team is top notch! A special thank you to Marissa, who makes every visit a pleasure, regardless of how incredibly busy they are. If you decide to get Thanksgiving dinner with them next year (including the take and bake option), you will not regret it. The food is spectacular.

Overall, I had a good meal here. It’s pretty expensive because it’s at a hotel but the quality of the food is 4/5. The ambience is cool because the hotel used to be a jail. I ordered the smoked salmon, which was excellent! They definitely did not skimp out. We did not love the French toast, however. I’d give a 3.5 if I could—I probably won’t come back, but it’s a classic hotel breakfast.

Absolutely delicious. We got the cheese plate followed by short ribs. Both were delectable. The drinks were also excellent. Great atmosphere. I will definitely plan on dining there again!

The service is professional and well polished. The menu is limited in it's choices and flavor profile of described dishes very institutional. For a restaurant being inside a self proclaimed 5-star restaurant the overall menu palate is very middle of the road. Nothing interesting, prices for dinner are fair and average for Boston, but none of the dishes were mind blowing. The cocktails are imaginative with great and interesting flavor profiles, it's too bad the menu wasn't designed around the same passion the bar manager clearly has. Breakfast menu is very overpriced and again the same institutional feel. Mass is filed with great East Coast diners with far more appetizing menu items at a quarter of the price.

It's been a while since I came here with a bunch of girlfriends like 10 years ago. But it's nice to know that there's a lively social scene at the bar in the lobby with a DJ playing on a Friday night for free. We had some really good food to Nosh on and a good glass of wine and I highly recommend that if you want to come out with a bunch of girlfriends and just powered up be social and dance come here did you know that this was a jail before? A lot of young people and groups of people, company parties, etc. Classy joint.

Beautiful, multi level bar in the Liberty Hotel. Loved everything about this place. Came on a Saturday night and it was the perfect amount of busy. Plenty of seating on all the floors. There was a DJ playing in the main area then on the first floor there's a separate bar called Alibi with another DJ. Plus it's an old jail so has some history! 10/10 recommend.

Came here for a happy hour last week and enjoyed the ambiance and history of the Liberty hotel having been a converted jail! The drink was spot on -- loved the passion fruit flavor of the Crime of Passion, and their sweet potato fries were fresh and tasty! The only downside is that drinks are pretty expensive--their cocktails are $21 and an old fashioned is $23. If you don't mind the prices, it's a nice place to grab a drink and a snack!

Anyone who knows me, understands my love for the Liberty Hotel in Boston. I have reviewed the hotel itself and its restaurants already. I realized yesterday that the Lobby Bar is a separate entity within the hotel and since my husband and I were there yesterday, I decided it deserved its own review. My love of the Liberty Hotel itself comes from its gorgeous architecture. This building once housed a jail which was completed in 1851by architect Gridley James Fox (a highly respected architect in his time, and Reverend Louis Dwight who was a prominent Yale-educated penologist who had an interest in and advocacy for prison reform. I remember when this place was still being used as a prison and recall walking past it seeing men looking out of barred windows at the pedestrians down below...it was always a sobering sight. After the jail was closed due to poor conditions for the inmates, it was turned into this stunning hotel which advantageously and respectfully incorporates the 19th century granite style and many of the notable architectural features into the final design. If you've not seen this building, it's worth taking a peek at the Liberty Hotel website to get a look. When you first walk in you go up an escalator and the view that awaits you is simply grand with soaring ceilings and your first glimpses of the incredible architecture. At the top of the escalator you are now in a large and lovely lobby area and to your right is the Lobby Bar, open to the entire lobby. In the evening, the lobby and this bar are often hopping. The hotel hosts musical events, fashion shows and other kinds of celebratory events that the public can attend (usually for a fee). But during the afternoons and early evenings, the bar is for anyone wanting a drink. You can also get a bite to eat from the menu of one of the hotel restaurants located next to the bar. Yesterday, my husband and I stopped in while we were in the city and spent a lovely hour talking to each other as well as with the charming bartender, Nick. It was a lovely respite for us. It was early enough that it wasn't crowded. To sit in the loveliness that is this particular hotel while enjoying a nicely made drink, is a simple pleasure. If you're in Boston, I do recommend staying at this hotel but regardless, do stop in for a look if not a nicely made cocktail at the Lobby Bar.

The upside down Christmas trees are cool, yes. But is a bud light worth $9 and does an old fashioned realllly need to be $23? Seems a little aggressive for a hotel bar. I get it... the vibe! Only hotel guests are allowed on the catwalk but outsiders can drink and dine on the overpriced selection at the main bar and a few other restaurants on site.

Five stars on Yelp indicates a rating of "great" and I give that to the Liberty Bar because of the people who work there. I often stop at the bar to wait for medical appointments next door or for a snack after my appointments. The bartenders are always extremely hospitable. Nick, Colin and Justin and the rest of the crew always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome even though I am not running up a huge bill. Both E.J. and Dave were also outstanding and although I met Chelsea only once, she did an excellent job. The hotel is lucky to have these people on their payroll representing it to the public in a city with so many nice places to go. It is a it pricey and I think there should be more variety on the menu.

I'll be honest with you: If I wasn't waiting for a Meetup group, I would have left as soon as I saw the prices. 20 bucks for a drink seems excessive even for New York or Vegas, let alone Boston. Still, I bit the bullet and order myself a PPP (Pink Peppercorn Paloma). This drink is awesome! It had some spicy notes from the peppercorn, little bit of sweetness, a little bit a tartness. All around wonderful and not something I could make myself. I also like that it was pretty strong while still remaining somewhat refreshing. The service was fast and friendly. The location is pretty cool for lounging and meeting up with groups in a large and open setting. While there are certainly cheaper options out there, it is not a bad place to meet with people for a drink or two if you are staying at the Liberty Hotel, or planning to go to another place inside the hotel later (Clink, Alibi, etc.).

I came here for a drink on a Friday evening before going out to have dinner. I sat outside patio at their bar area. I had a martini that was delicious. The service was good.

Cute little hotel bar. Great drinks and awesome apps. Definitely check it out if you want to unwind or grab a night cap!

This is my favorite hotel and bar in Boston. I have to come for work, but the liberty makes it worth the trip.

This place is pretty cool. A little quiet due to the chilly, cold, wet weather that Boston is presenting to us now. Otherwise, good music, good apps and good drinks.

Great (higher end) place for a Cocktail. If you like history, you'll like it even more!! If you are going for a business meeting or something like that go earlier as it's gets louder as the clock ticks later in the evening.

Went to the Liberty Bar at the Liberty Hotel and was served by Chelsea, a great bartender. Couldn't have had a better time. My wife just had a baby and she was super attentive and made great drinks while I was waiting for to go food. Thanks Chelsea, signed Everett.

The liberty was a referral by my friend and it was the best thing! I was visiting Boston for the weekend with group of friends and we all had great time! Tho, felt like drinks weren't strong enough lol but over all fun times! Nothing like NYC/NJ bars and club but we all had great time at the liberty! The down part was the closing time! I'll recommend this to y'all when you're in Boston!

Absolutely love this bar!!! The drinks are spot on perfect! They make THE best French 75 I've ever had. The other cocktails are also super creative. The ambiance is great and the waitresses are always attentive. There are usually open tables and different levels of sitting areas to chose from.

Stayed at the Liberty Hotel over this year's Boston marathon. As you may or may not remember, it was a cold, windy, day for the marathon. We attempted to go to the finish line to see the runners, but turned back and went to the hotel. We sat at the Liberty Bar, had lunch and watched the marathon while having a delightful Bloody Mary. The sandwich was delicious and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Relaxing atmosphere as well. Oh, we also had one of the best cosmos I have ever had. Would highly recommend.

Had 3 drinks before we got there. Assumed my friend was wasted and did not allow us in. Ridiculous.
