Gilroy Garlic Festival, a San Francisco Bay Area Tradition for More Than 40 Years, Cancelled ‘Indefinitely’ | Eater SF

"As part of the Garlic Festival’s scaled-down format for 2022, I noted that a concert is planned to take place at Clos La Chance Winery as one of several smaller events still in the mix." - Dianne de Guzman

Went here with the wife and kids. Really enjoyed the friendly environment. Wine was a lot better than I remembered, it's been over 10 years since I last visited. Great place to bring a picnic basket, get a glass of wine, and relax. Wi try is on the back side of CordeValle.

As wedding photographers, we had the pleasure of capturing a couple's special dat at Clos LaChance Winery, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The venue is stunning, with a beautiful aesthetic and ambiance that provided the perfect backdrop for breathtaking photos. The staff at Clos LaChance were incredible to work with. They were warm, professional, and attentive to every detail, which made our job so much easier. We couldn't have asked for a better setting to document such a memorable occasion. We highly recommend this location for any couple looking for a beautiful venue and seamless wedding day.

Google
A great spot to include during your wine tasting tour of the area. The staff was friendly, the wines were good and the place is gorgeous

Great winery. Nice and knowledgeable staff. Not a lot of parking. Picked up wine club wine today and the fields are getting their annual pruning.

The best service! Beautiful view, Charles was great very welcoming and fun! Thanks for the great hospitality.

Google
My favorite winery 🍷 and could be yours once you have been and had some of the best wine in the valley. The music events that they offer on the weekends are the best. Or come and relax on the weekdays enjoy a glass of wine and relax out on the Veranda overlooking Cordevalle golf course. The most beautiful scenery to just chill.

Went on a Friday @ 11:30am and we were the only ones there! This winery was the highlight of our trip. Everything was so picturesque and the wines were heavenly. Our guide was great and the experience was truly amazing. I seriously can’t recommend this place enough! (Late post: October 2022)

Wow. I love wine 🍷 tasting at Clos LaChance Winery and the wineries. However, I missed the 70's ladies night with Bee Gees as the tickets sold out. Uggh first time we miss a concert! Jeremy and the wine greeters always bring smiles. Wine Selection An outstanding variety of whites and reds to delight any palate. Personally, I love the Malbec, which has hints of berries and transports me to Mendoza, Argentina. My wife adores the whites and bubbly options. The Amber Cuvee, a refreshing light pinkish wine served ice cold, is perfect for summer. The Property The winery boasts beautifully manicured grounds, both inside and out. Views The views are breathtaking and truly spectacular. Indoors The indoor spaces are perfectly cooled during the summer and cozy warm in the winter months. Wine Club The wine club is fantastic and has recently improved with an even greater selection of wines. Weddings/Work Events Brides-to-be, this is a must-see property that will make your special day unforgettable. The secret VIP room and getaway are exceptional. The food looks delicious, and there are excellent spaces for events. Summer and Special Venues In the summer, live music bands provide fantastic entertainment. Summary This is a 5-star winery and the best in Gilroy.

Yelp
It's a long winding road. The drive will test your mettle. But oh boy, it's worth it. This place is beautiful. Like the name, it makes you feel like you're in the French countryside. Very romantic. There was a wedding rehearsal taking place while we're tasting the chardonnay from a friendly host behind the counter who kept the juices flowing. The wine wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't your average wine either.

Yelp
Stunning wine grounds at Clos LaChance. I don't usually like to leave under 4 star reviews, but I really believe there could be a chance for improvement with the hospitality here. Upon entering the tasting room there was no acknowledgement of our presence which felt very awkward (esp with only a few other patrons tasting) and available wine pourers. The staff were not smiling and were very short with us when we said we were there to taste. It definitely put a damper on the start of our day... We wondered if it had something to do with them merging or becoming Cor de Valle winery. It seemed confusing to us whether we were drinking wine from one or the other. Once we got past the odd lack of welcome and went to tables outside though, we had a wonderful time. Such a beautiful upper and lower courtyard surrounded by vineyards; it almost feels like you have been transported to somewhere in Europe. The wines were delicious. I loved the 22 Pirates Blend and the Viogner most.
google avatar

Connie W.

Yelp
We chose the flight of 5 red wines for $20.Our favorites were the Blend and the Malbec.  They credited us the tasting fees upon our 2 purchases. The grounds were huge, we walked around in between each pour while people were setting up for an evening party.  It was a very lovely place and I would very much like to come back to attend some evening dance parties here.

Yelp
Came here with friends last weekend and while we had a good time, there were a few things that could have made our experience better. One of them being if the tables in the patio had been covered with table clothes instead of just plain. Some of them were and the others weren't which made it look less nice. Another thing was that even though we did the $20 tasting, it was a little inconvenient to have to be going back to the bar to select our next glass instead of selecting them right up front and have them with us at our table. We had to go back and forth and wait once it started getting packed with more people. Overall though it was a good time.

Yelp
I had a chance to visit this winery for a friends wedding. The drive there was a winding country road down in Morgan Hill. Once you get there they have parking available and valet. The main entrance is nice, but the real beauty is when you go outside. The view was absolutely amazing! The back patio area had a huge open space with plenty of spots to sit. There was also a small bar down some stairs that had some chairs and areas to sit. The wine was delicious and they had several varieties of reds and whites. I was partial to the Christopher Cabernet Sauvignon, and for the white I loved the 2023 Designate Marsanne. Definitely something I'll be buying some bottles of in the future. The food at the venue... The FOOD AT THE VENUE... was insane. For weddings they have an incredible catering company, The Cellar Door Catering. the food was spot on. I had the beef medallions, the salad, the chicken, the bread, the rice, the... ok... I think you get the point. I had it ALL and I loved every bite. (except the salmon... not big on fish, sorry not sorry) ...and I can't leave out the staff, they were all amazing, and ultra attentive. Getting on drinks, prepping our plates, and keeping everyone's libations... filled! Definitely worth checking out for a big event, or just for some wine tasting!

Yelp
A great time for a great deal! Food: I didn't order any food but I DID order the wine flight! Wine flight: 5/5 While they did offer a limited selection of red and white wines, the total cost of the flight was around $20 for 5 glasses of wine which is a fantastic deal for wine tasting. The wines listed tend to be about 3 years or younger so there aren't any wines that taste complex. For me, a newbie at wine tasting, this was the perfect introduction! You're allowed to bring food on the premises which means.. you can bring your own charcuterie board. The staff are incredibly helpful in choosing which wines on the flight would pair with which cheese. Service: Helpful and fast! Staff are friendly and great at giving wine suggestions Ambiance: Beautiful small winery with a lovely outdoor area. I went when there was live music and local artist stalls.
google avatar

Janaki P.

Yelp
The ambiance is beautiful! I would definitely come back! The only reason why I gave them a 4 star is because the staff doesn't really mingle with their guest. They don't come around the tables and check in with their guest. You have to go back and forth to get each tasting on your own.
google avatar

Joaquina F.

Yelp
Went with a group of friends on a Sunday they had live music. The entrance is nice and the views are amazing. The service was great, they were very nice. We were able to buy food there and realized we could have also brought our own snacks. It is a 21 and older only spot.
google avatar

Cheryl H.

Yelp
Fun venue to see live music. Be prepared that bottles of wine are a little pricey. You are allowed to bring food in which is nice.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Best winery with easy walk ins and parking in the area. They are a french styled winery, so they only have non-sweet wines, but it was still a great experience for us. Came an hour before closing, and we quickly got our wines. Their $20 tasting package was a great deal and you can sit anywhere around the property. Staff does get busy, but we had no problem eventually getting our drinks. They don't have table service which was a bit disappointing, but it was nice to simply walk around and enjoy the views of the winery.
google avatar

Glen N.

Yelp
It's a pretty place for a wedding and a unique place for a concert; however, despite their tasty rosé, I wouldn't return for a wine tasting because there were no chairs and no a/c. I won't stand for it. If you see me there again, it's when I'm wheelchair bound in winter.
google avatar

Samantha E.

Yelp
Wine tastings were affordable ($20 or $35). Lots of great places to sit with shade or umbrellas. The red wines were better than their whites in my opinion. My favorite was the 2018 Joli Meritage and bought the bottle to go! Tony poured us our wines and he was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely come here again!
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a few years. I remember their wine being ok and service ok. So, wanted to give it another try for the scenery. It's a very nice winery from the outside and nice on the inside. We walked in and the staff saw us, but didn't say anything. We walked to the counter and waited for someone to help us. Finally, an older man came to us and asked how he could help. I asked for a tasting and my SIL just wanted a glass of wine. I asked if they had any snacks or charcuterie boards and he said no. He said all they had were these pretzel sticks and just kind of slammed them in front of us. We didn't open them, since we were wanting something more like cheese and crackers. He wasn't too friendly and just didn't seem like he wanted to help us. I did my tasting and no wines stood out. My SIL didn't even like her wine and ended up throwing half out. Needless to say, we won't be back. Wine was blah and service was more blah.

Yelp
This review is for the private event. We recently come here for a wedding. It is beautiful and so close to bay area! Service is good and food is amazing. Wonderful place! Parking is limited!
google avatar

Jocelyn C.

Yelp
Customer service was not up to par. Paid for a flight but was not able to get all the wine at once. They close @ 3 and rushed me to finish my wine or else I wouldn't be able to get my wine.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
Haven't been back awhile, winery's still beautiful as how it was! I came here on Wednesday afternoon and it was empty but I love it because everyone was attentive and you have the whole winery to yourself! This is probably the biggest and most beautiful winery in this area. Other winery does not had this much grapes vines through the ground. They are harvesting the grapes as I get a chance to go near it. The grapes was sweet! Everyone in the winery was great especially the one on the tractor picking up the grapes.

Sheila T.

Yelp
This is one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever been too. my complaint is the dogs. I had to leave an event after paying more than once because dogs are everywhere. it's not right. I'm highly allergic and can't go anywhere. it's out of control. so heads u, if you have allergies don't bother.
google avatar

Lori W.

Yelp
Although we have enjoyed the wine here and the winery remains a favorite haunt of ours, when in the area, I can't give them a good review. Even though we live 5 hours away, we maintained a club membership and drive down a couple times a year to sample the wines and pick up our bottles. On our recent visit, the woman working in the winery was so extremely unpleasant that I was very comfortable. She was gruff and rude and so abrupt that we decided to shorten our visit. When we got home, we sent an email asking to put our club membership on hold indefinitely. Their response was to cancel us completely. I don't know if that woman was an employee or an owner, but I have honestly never felt such disdain directed toward me for no apparent reason. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Do better. Your customers deserve to be treated with kindness, even friendliness.
google avatar

Yelp
This winery is really beautiful and has great views! But that's not what made this place special. The people pouring for the tastings are really nice, very knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. I really like the way you get a card and can go in and get your next glass on your time. Most places have you drink it all at the bar. There's usually not enough space for that and you feel rushed. While we didn't try any food, they have a pretty great selection for a winery. We see charcuterie, flatbread, and other items. The wines were all pretty good. The reds are on the spicy and jammy side. For my tastes I liked the Pinot Noir, Cab Franc, and Zinfandel the best. Finally, there are many places to sit. From the large tables on the upper terrace to the small tables and benches around the grounds, there's no shortage of comfort. Just watch for the bird .

Vanessa H.

Yelp
The most handsome boys worked the valet service, isaiah and shohn was their names and I've seen them working for other events here, they are super duper respectful and nice and got our doors complimented us and made the night overall a way better experience!! Would recommend highly not just for the eye candy either
google avatar

Danny N.

Yelp
This winery is absolutely stunning! There are some amazing views. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was decent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was not our favorite though. Nothing stood out as amazing. They also have a giant sign out front banning children and infants from the property. Just seemed extreme and off putting given the area.
google avatar

Elaine L.

Yelp
I absolutely love this winery. I'm a member at Clos La Chance and I really believe that you get your money's worth as a member. With my membership I just need to buy four bottles of wine per quarter and with that I will receive free flights up to four wine trees during each visit. So if I wanted to come every single day I can get four flights for free. I think that's an amazing deal. Also as a member during the Thursday night music sessions we have privileges to make reservations on the terrace. The grounds at this winery is absolutely beautiful. I'd have no reason to travel far to a place like Napa when you can go to a beautiful winery like this one. Here is my small gripe. I made reservations throughout the rest of fall, but because they've changed their process and do not take reservations any longer except for VIP wine tasting, it was an awkward experience trying to say I had a reservation today. But then again it turned out that my reservation was for the lawn. Which made absolutely no sense because why be on the lawn when they moved the music down to the Grove. An email to those people who made reservations would have been nice. Second really big gripe is the fact that I asked if we could use the bocce balls but I was told that because a covid they weren't allowing bocce ball yet. But then 2 hours later there were two guys who had the balls and borrowed them from the winery. When I asked them where they got the balls from they said you just needed to ask the right person. I thought that was in poor taste that I was told something totally different. Would be nice if they just treated everyone equally. Other than those small gripes I would have gave them five stars. But because of that four stars it is. At least for this visit.

Yelp
First time at Clos LaChance did not disappoint. Wife is also in the industry, so just by that factor they honored her business card & treated us to a complimentary wine tasting! On top of that, service was exceptional. The views were amazing in the grassy hills & wide open range filled with vines & animals. There's something peaceful about sipping wine & hearing the goats bleat & the cows moo. I went with the reds while my wife went with the whites. My personal favorite was the 21 cabernet sauvignon, & my wife the 21 chardonnay. The day was perfect for a tasting & the sun/breeze was impeccable. The driveway up to the entrance was long but appealing to the eyes as we passed many vines & cows. The back patio didn't have that much space to roam around as other vineyards do, but they maintain the grass & plants with the upmost integrity & for that i give them their 5 star review. The building itself has many intricate details & the inside was filled with art & antiques. If you are in the Gilroy area, i highly recommend this place over CordeValle. We have not been to CordeValle but have heard some not so great things about them, perhaps we will have to test the waters in the future but it's not likely. Clos LaChance is a sister business to CordeValle & speaks highly of them as they are not petty in that way, which we appreciate as i myself am not petty either. Fun fact, CordeValle actually serves some of Clos LeChances' wines...So i highly recommend you indulge in their wine!

Yelp
The winery is gorgeous! The view is absolutely mesmerizing! The wine wasn't bad either. However the service wasn't as great as expected. We were surprised to learn they don't offer tastings at the counter. They also don't come to the table to serve. The wine flight carrier is only offered to members. Non-members must walk back and forth to the counter for each tasting. Lastly, there was no history shared about the wines at all. It was literally pour and go. I've visited many wineries and vineyards and this was the most disappointing experience.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
We just attended a spectacular wedding and reception at this stunning venue! Hands down, a class act from start to finish. The food, the service, even the valet staff were beyond hospitable! Well done!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Service 3/5 -- It's a little difficult navigating where to pick up your wine tree tasting. We were shuffled to the next room to pick up our wine, and were ignored by staff cleaning glasses. Finally a woman came up and tried to send us back to the hostess stand to start the process over, when we told her we already did that, she seemed a bit flustered and put together our trees. Felt a little rushed and not properly attended to (for a $20 tasting, I would expect a smoother process). View 5/5 -- Plenty of outdoor seating, and on a first come first serve basis. The view is jaw dropping, literally looks unreal. You definitely need to take a picture here and walk around the venue, it's beautiful. Taste 3/5 -- I don't think red wine is their bread and butter. The only one I'd drink is probably the Meritage. Their selection of rosé and white wine is better. My 2021 Sauvignon Blanc was cloudy and not very good. The 2020 Chardonnay or the 2020 Hadley's Cuvée could be worth taking home. Overall, I wasn't a huge fan of their wines. I will say, this venue is stellar for events and photo ops, don't skip out, check this place out at least once. However, being in the Santa Clara Valley, there are plenty of other wineries in the area with better service and wine.

Ricardo C.

Yelp
Great service, good wine beautiful place highly recommend. Tasting was a great experience
google avatar

Glenda D.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. The property is beautiful but the owners and customer service is absolutely atrocious. We came here with a wedding party and my toddler daughter who is the flower girl. A lady from the property emphasized 5x we were not allowed there with anyone under 21. I understand her policies but no need to be rude and aggressive about kicking us out ( all 15 of us). It was our first time there and DEFINITELY our last.

Stanford U.

Yelp
*WARNING* to Stanford event planners: We do not recommend this venue unless you're prepared to handle most of the work yourself. Here's what we experienced during our recent event: * Overbooking: The venue was overbooked with 2-3 large parties arriving at the same time. We had to share the space, which interfered with our lawn games. * Disorganized wine game: The wine game was poorly organized. They didn't have a microphone, so the rules were unclear and the announcements couldn't be heard from the back tables. We also paid for the winning table to receive wine but had to remind them the day after the event to ship it to us. * Outdoor seating: The outdoor seating area was large but lacked a designated section for our party. We had to move tables and umbrellas ourselves last minute. They were short staffed, but our group still ended up carrying heavy furniture. * Charcuterie board: We purchased a $500 charcuterie board for 20 people, which was perfect last year but seemed noticeably smaller this time around. * Buffet issues: We paid for a buffet, but the plates were taken away after the first serving, leaving no opportunity for seconds. We also brought our own cake, but it felt like the staff relied on that instead of serving the dessert we purchased from the winery. One of our team members even saw staff eating leftovers, despite being told that to-go containers were not allowed for the remaining buffet food or desserts. * Drink service: They were underprepared with soft drinks, and once they ran out, they weren't replenished. We had a poker game on the lawn and ended up carrying the heavy glass water dispenser ourselves. For more details, feel free to reach out to us at stanforduniv.recruiting@gmail.com

Yelp
If you're looking for a cute winery, look no further. I came by here recently and can't wait to go back. Clos LaChance is the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious red wines. The views are amazing in the winter and I can't imagine how it looks during the springtime. We sat outside on the patio and saw bunnies hopping around which was nice. I like how they have a fireplace outside. There are seats inside if you prefer to enjoy your wine indoors. They sell crispy breadsticks and cheese to enjoy with your wine. One of my favorite things about this winery is their wine tree. It's unique and I haven't seen it at another winery before. I'll be back again soon. Next time, I'll have to try their white wines.

Yelp
Finally stopped by for wine tasting last month after residing in the Bay Area for 12 years and only attending this venue for a wedding years ago! Loved the terrace, display, and most importantly the WINE, so much so that we became members!! Today I had the pleasure of speaking to Stephanie who heads the customer service department and she filled in all the gaps of what I didn't know regarding how tremendous this gem of a winery is especially for its members!!! Looking forward to a great year. Will obviously and definitely return and would strongly recommend!!!!

Yelp
Clos La Chance is one of my go-to local wineries in the Morgan Hill/San Martin area. I've been here a number of times for tastings and tours (pre-covid) and always had a great experience. Their wines are good, granted I am not a wine snob so I can't say much in regards to wine. I go wine tasting for the experience :) as long as it's a nice property with a great view I am happy and Clos La Chance has just that. Beautiful grounds with a great big outdoor patio and a pretty view. Highly recommend going on a Sunday for live music from 1-4pm. ** You can bring your own food/snacks! Another reason why I enjoy this place.
google avatar

Myke B.

Yelp
What a great experience! The venue is stunning, the wine is fantastic and the staff exceptional. I think my wife and I tasted almost all their wines and are having four shipped back home. This was our sixth winery on our wine vacation and its hard to imagine any will beat it.
google avatar

Blanca A.

Yelp
We got married here and it was beautiful! Everything was perfect! Got married in Nov, highly recommend this place! The pace gives you fairly take vibes and the food was amazing along with the wine of course!! Unforgettable day! Thanks you Clos Lachance winery!

Flowers V.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time decorating a wedding at this venue. The staff was helpful and efficient, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. The venue itself was stunning, providing the perfect setting for our arrangements.
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
Wine - Definitely enjoyed most of the reds and my favorites were the whites. Wine comes in a nice set up allowing for all wine servings/tastings out at once. Food- wow. I don't think I've had sliders so good. They remind of mini in-n-out burgers. The food has me sold on this place. View- Great location for some pictures, stroll around, and lots of greenery! I never would have went out this way for a winery had my friend not been a neighbor of this winery, but the staff, food and wine definitely has my business here.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
My husband and I became wine club members last January and I am so glad we did. The wines range from good to phenomenal. It's always a great place to visit to wine taste and now they offer freshly made food. The food has been equally good and the grounds are beautiful. It is a local gem that my husband and I as well as friends plan to visit on a regular basis. Some of my favorite (I like dry, non-oak) current wines offered: Viogner, Sauvignon Blanc, Lila's Cuvée, & Calibri Rose. Highly recommend going for wine tasting & a meal & of course purchasing favorite wines from the source.
google avatar

Minnette T.

Yelp
Came here for wine tasting with some friends who come here often and experienced the best service. Kim was so kind and patient giving us recommendations before we finally decided to purchase a flight. We weren't allowed to do any tastings inside the tasting room due to COVID protocol but the outdoor area was nice to sit in. We came around lunch time and were quite surprised by how delicious the clam chowder is my friends got another! Now I can see why my friends keep coming back.
google avatar

Perla P.

Yelp
Went on a Tuesday and it was nice to have the place mostly to ourselves. The views are amazing and Kim took really good care of us. There are multiple wine tasting options which was nice. It was definitely a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable experience. Beautiful getaway from the hustle and noise. Fully enjoyed our wine tasting and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The scenery and views are incredible from this winery! Its a great place to relax and sip some wine. Be prepared that the parking lot is small and was full when we got there so we had trouble finding a spot. Worth noting that 1 Wine tasting fee is waived with the purchase of 2 bottles. We came here specifically for the FINtage wine that they made in collaboration with the San Jose Sharks. We wanted to buy a bottle of red and white to take home but they didnt sell them individually or even in pairs. You could only buy them at the winery in gift packs of 4 (2 of the reds and 2 of the whites). Silly tactic to make more money since people like me are going out of their way specifically for that wine.. Or you can buy individual online but im sure after shipping it doesnt make it any better than the 4 pack. With that 4 bottle purchase we got 2 tastings waived. Id recommend visiting even though its out of the way.
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
I actually stopped in here after going skydiving at Skydive Hollister (highly recommended by the way) so why not have some wine and relax after jumping out of an airplane! Another reason for stopping by this winery was because we saw that Clos LaChance partnered with the San Jose Sharks to make a collab wine "FINtage 408", which is available as 2016 chardonnay and 2016 cabernet sauvignon. Both wines are a house wine, perfect for drinking while watching the Sharks games or just to have with dinner. I only wanted to purchase two bottles (one white and one red), but they could only sell them in the "gift set" which is 4 bottles.. I don't see how its not possible to just sell two.. but whatever, I bought the 4 anyways (sneaky sneaky to make more money on their part). With my bottle purchase, I was able to get two tastings of their other wines for free. I loved the rose, classic dry French taste. Delicious! The only bad part is they have a small parking lot and it was packed, luckily we snagged one.

Yelp
I was recently here to shoot a wedding, and had the absolute best experience here. Everyone was so sweet and nice. The FOOD AMAZING. Everyone. The views AMAZING. beautiful.
google avatar

Macarena O.

Yelp
Good wines, friendly staff and beautiful views! The tasting is $15pp and includes 5 wines. Good vibes and you are free to bring your snacks - which to me is a plus!

Yelp
What a great "little" winery! Soo many grape trees lined up so perfectly! A great wine stop that isn't in Napa or Sonoma. Nice and quiet and great tasting wines- Grenache and Cab Frank and both great reds to try!

Liuba B.

Yelp
Staff is rude and condescending. Attended a private event which was nice in itself. The guests attending the event were also friendly. This was in stark contrast with the winery's discourteous, unwelcoming staff. I tasted the reds they had available for purchase for the private event. The wines aren't great. Not smooth. No body. Every red wine made my mouth pucker. Terrible wines. I purchased the Rose as there was nothing else good. The staff made sure to let me know that he was irritated about serving me "tastings". After selecing the Rose to purchase, he set up the kiosk for me to pay and left. Just left me there, not even so much as a thank you. Horrible service. Summary: There are better wines, better wineries and better people to visit. Clos La Chance is not one of them. Their wines match their people: terrible.

Yelp
TLDR: not friendly to children Apparently this place doesn't allow babies or infants although we've definitely seen them here in past visits. We got yelled at for bringing a baby in due to "insurance reasons". Anyway, their wine isn't even worth the trouble. Recommend visiting other wineries in Morgan Hill over this one.

Yelp
What's the benefit to be your member?I picked up my quarter membership order and it was 11am, so I asked whether I could get two glasses to sit and drink some wine I just got.I was told no. So the only benefit of my membership is to get pricey wine from you quarterly? Bye bye you are not worthy it!

Yelp
Best concert I have ever been to! Aaron Watson is sooo good live. If you ever get a chance to go check out a concert at this winery, Clos La Chance! The sponsor of the event was a Veterans charity called "Veterans Sportsman Alliance", they build customized outdoor gear like guns, fishing poles, hunting gear etc.. for disabled vets! The business partner putting on the event, Mike Pappas, who owns Pappas Piping Services ended up buying two bottles of wine unexpectedly for Bre & I and we got to make some new friends. We got right up to the "stage", the venue was no bigger than a few hundred people, it wasn't crowded, the wine was awesome and my date was even better. Breanna got this photo with him and AW gave me three guitar picks for the road. This entire environment, from the venue to the people was absolutely excellent in quality and service. Fantastic establishment. Thank you again Breanna for this Father's Day gift, you killed it again! Would definitely go back.

Yelp
I love Clos LaChance Winery! I love that they pair up with KRTY. KRTY is my favorite radio station and I wouldn't have heard about the winery if it wasn't for KRTY. I went to Clos LaChance because I wanted to see my favorite comedian, Killer Beaz and he was performing at Clos LaChance. The winery is set up perfectly for events like concerts and comedy shows. I think that their grass area holds just enough people. A decent amount of people can fit on the grass area for a show but not too many. I also like that the winery allows you to bring in food to the shows! That is nice. They also sell a few snacks throughout the night. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful. The views are breathtaking. I hope to come back to check out the winery a little more when there isn't a KRTY event happening. I love the KRTY events though! The Killer Beaz comedy show was the first event that I attended at Clos LaChance (and first time going to the winery). I hope to attend more events in the future. Perhaps a concert or another comedy show! I didn't try their wines so I cannot comment on that. Overall, I definitely recommend attending an event at Clos LaChance. I had a great experience and I can't wait to go back! Enjoy! Simona
