"The Taco Time on North 45th Street, a Seattle landmark open for 50 years, was known for its unique architecture and local appeal. This homegrown chain, beloved for its crispy burritos and mexi-fries, is now closing and being replaced by a Chipotle. The building's architecturally significant design, which symbolized Taco Time's quirky appeal, will remain intact despite the change. The closure represents a loss of a piece of Old Seattle, a sentiment felt deeply by many long-time residents." - Harry Cheadle

5 stars for the food, 1 star for the service. I had a terrible customer service experience here. I arrived with a coupon for a free entree from the Taco Time app, and the employee told me that I couldn't use it because their system that accepts coupons wasn't working and hasn't been upgraded. They refused to just honor the coupon which would have easily resolved this. Based on this experience I won't be visiting here again and will go to the other locations instead.

Edit: I want to update my review. Management reached out to me to assure me that they were going to address the situation. They were very helpful and I know for this particular trip things weren't up to Taco Time's standards. Just got my meal and normally Taco Time is spot on. This time although I was the lone customer it took a long time and the guy at the window literally shoved the bag of food into my hands. Got home and everything was covered in grease and leaching through the bag. The crispy burritos were soft.

Taco Time's the best! Soft meat burrito FTW! This location is... a giant box of mirrored windows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Love it.

I ordered the baja fish taco and beef soft taco. The fish taco is not really worth getting. Not worth the money and the taste is really boring and not spicy at all. Beef taco was pretty good and more filling than I expected. It’s a bit expensive for what you get.

I've always been a big fan of Taco Time growing up here in the northwest, but the prices these days are just simply too high.

Got there 8:40 (they close at 9), waited at the drive thru and made eye contact with 3 employees there. No one acknowledged us. Common courtesy to at least say “sorry we’re closing up early for the night”
