Cloth House

Cloth House is a very special place, as is its team. It is the most wonderful fabric shop I have ever been to. Its catalogue is carefully curated. As is its enveloping atmosphere, from the music to the floor and walls. When I travel to London, it is to visit this lovely corner. Their fabrics are the key of my fashion collections for the master's degree I am studying in Galicia. These cloths have marked a before and after in my portfolio, making this stage of my studies, for which I have worked and saved for years, even more significant and beautiful. When I walk through the door, they make me feel special and cared for, letting me browse through all their textures, threads, buttons and colours, without pressuring me, always helping me and making things easy for me in any circumstance. I made an appointment with Robin and I was so delighted by the staff they were super helpful, patient, kind and the variety of fabrics in the shop was absolutely incredible. I bought one piece and took details of many more which I hope to purchase in the future, there have been a lot of negative reviews I cannot relate to them whatsoever. My experience was excellent.

I was really excited to visit the shop, but it turned out to be a very bad experience... Since the first second, it felt like they were doing me a favour by letting me be in the shop.. When getting into the main part of the shop, I was surprised that no one acknowledged my presence, and it felt like I wasn't even there. When leaving the shop, I thanked them, but again, no answer. Such a shame, because the shop has lots of beautiful fabrics.

Love this shop! They have everything for your unusual project: fabrics, unusual patterns, Indian prints, haberdashery, linen fabric, home textiles! Make an appointment by phone before you go there. First Saturday of month is remnant s sale!!!

Huge variety of fabrics, best place I've found for vintage fabrics. Super friendly, lovely owner and very helpful. Fabrics are well priced and there are some rare gems found hidden in there, some very very old fabrics kept in amazing condition. Visually amazing place to be. Great place for reenactment and LARP enthusiasts!
