Probably my favorite rooftop bars in NYC. Great views of the city - it was a little rainy and cloudy so it was a nice ambiance. Drinks were soooo yummy! I liked their unique cocktail menu. Standard NY prices , like $17-20 a drink. Music was good and seating was nice. Highly recommend and I’d go again.

Been here so many times. I loveeeeee the service. The cocktail‘white palmer’ was amazing!!!!! Jesus who was working was so great to me and really took care of us. Apollo was great as well. Views to die for

Absolutely wow. Cloud M Rooftop at CitizenM Bowery is an experience like no other. From the moment you step onto the rooftop, you're greeted with breathtaking views that leave you speechless. The panoramic vistas of the city skyline are simply stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The ambiance is chic and vibrant, with stylish decor and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The drinks are expertly crafted, and the service is top-notch, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Pictures truly don't do it justice—this place is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

This rooftop bar is one of the best I’ve seen with its views of New York on three sides, and the amazing red window bathrooms. The bar staff were smiley and efficient, mixing drinks that tasted good. You should make a reservation but we just walked in and managed a very good outdoor table.

It's a cute rooftop bar. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Great view of the city and the cocktails were good. Luckily it was a light day so we were able to get in without any issues.

Absolutely spectacular views over Manhattan in a super hip hotel bar. Drinks are pricey but what do you expect? Where else can you enjoy NYC like this? Love it!

Arrived at 5pm on a Sunday, originally just looking for the Museum of Street Art. Unless you are a guest of the hotel, you need to ask the front desk at the Citizen M for the elevator pass to the 20th floor. We were welcomed by the hostess who asked us to join for a drink and to walk around the space. The friendly staff also told us to "check out the views from the bathroom" which seemed odd at first, but as I walked into the handicapped bathroom I found a floor to ceiling view of downtown Manhattan covered in a rose-tinted hue. Needless to say this place is full of magical surprises if you know what to look for. As we walked around the side of the bar I spotted two pieces by Kusama and an adorable balloon animal by Koons. The star of the room is a leopard statue covered in a mirror mosaic. I don't know the artist, but I loved this view as the sun was setting. The Cloud has ample indoor and outdoor space. We we're comfortable as a party of 4 in the lounge and taking photos of the skyline. The bartender greeted us and accommodated our requests as we giggled as the cocktail names like "Everyday Struggle." At $16-$18 a drink, we expected quality and got it! If we hadn't recently eaten we probably would have stayed for a bite. The food looked delicious passing by. By 6:30 we made our way over to the door was to start our decent down 20 flights and into the Museum of Street Art. This experience truly is a love letter to the Bowery.

Visited cloudM several times during my stay at the CitizenM hotel and absolutely loved it! It is such a great bar with a wonderful view. The staff are really nice! There's a lot of seating inside the bar and outside on the deck. You have views from everywhere in the rooftop. They have a full bar so cocktails, wine, and beer and a couple of bites. The music was good and the decor is great throughout the rooftop. Definitely a must visit!

Called front desk to see if I can use the hotel bar (to get some lite work done) as a non-member, she said yes. The bald bartender downstairs is actually a idiot who doesn't know what's good for him and the business. Actual Neanderthal that is losing money for the company. Refused to make me a drink and food cause I wasn't a member even though front desk said it was okay. Bruh they pay you enough to be hall monitor? Only thing he accomplished was turn down a paying customer and allowed me to freeload the facilities. Dude is stupid he doesn't even know he's stupid! Thanks for the free workstation I guess, now I know I don't even have to buy a drink and food

One of the best indoor + outdoor rooftop bars in the Lower East Side. I've been to this spot before for dinner but didn't realize there was an outdoor patio. Inside or out, there is a great view either way with the tall panoramic windows that surround the whole place. Warning: The drink with the gin was super strong!

Cute ambiance, beautiful view of the skyline, and ample indoor and outdoor seating! Be warned though--the elevator is extremely slow, and I waited almost 15 minutes from standing in line and waiting for the elevator to stop at the floors in between the ground and the roof. The drinks here are moderately strong. You can grab your own seating, so if you want a nice view of the sunset, come early enough to snag a seat! Overall, a fun experience.

This was a great rooftop bar to stop by! We did a walk in and there was available seating for us. This was one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had! The ambiance inside was lovely.

The first time I came here, they didn't let us in without a reservation since it was a holiday weekend. I walked in recently without a reservation during pride weekend, and it wasn't too busy. This is one of my favorite rooftops now, and I recommend coming during the sunset. Their take on an espresso martini was my favorite cocktail! Aesthetic was really bright and colorful - I'll definitely be coming back!

Amazing rooftop bar with unique cocktails and unobstructed views. The word is that this place is often packed so making reservations is highly recommended, but we got lucky and were able to snag a table despite being a walk-in party of 3. The interior is upscale and sleek, and vibe here is very lowkey such that we were able to talk comfortably while we were there. The drinks were great albeit a tad expensive, but that's to be expected. I don't remember the specific names, but I got their dragonfruit cocktail and it was delicious and not too strong. I had a taste of my friends' pea tea and espresso cocktails which were solid as well. The highlight here though is definitely the vantage point you get of the city. The best view is of course in the terrace, but unfortunately they don't have heaters so we mostly stayed indoors. They basically have a 360 degree view though, so the views were great by our seats as well, and even the bathrooms.

The best view in Manhattan, bar none. I went there three times...once after work on a week day: a bit crowded. Once on a Sunday evening: not crowded. Once in the afternoon to make reservations and the view is great even in the sunlight. Very nice staff. But the music is horrible. They said a company was responsible. My advice: Lose that company. Adults ( lots of Europeans) go to drink and talk while enjoying the view. It's not a disco, "Company"

Great place for a cocktail with incredible views of the city. I loved my cocktail, the Tiki Takeaway, and the gorgeous skyline. Spring rolls were not good. I placed an order and they were ready immediately so that was odd. Bartender was friendly. It's definitely a nice place to stop and have cocktails, but skip the food.

Really cool rooftop bar located in the CitizenM! Great drinks and a lovely view. Typically CloudM requires a reservation, but the staff was very accommodating and squeezed us in without one. The drink menu was a bit limited, but the cocktails we ordered were excellent. The drink I ordered contained some sort of tea and changed color when the tea was poured in! It was yummy and just strong enough. As a downside, I do wish there were more food and snack options. There were about 3 options on the menu and none were vegetarian. Apart from that, the vibe and decor of the bar was upscale yet comfortable. Be sure to step out onto the terrace to check out the view!

I was a little worried about how this place was going to be after seeing a lot of negative and average reviews but I'm glad my friend and I decided to make reservations and give this place a try. Super cute hotel with beautiful artwork and interiors. The views from the rooftop were also amazing. They have both an indoor area where you can get table service and a more chill outdoor rooftop area where you can order from the bar and do self service. Once we arrived we told the person at the front desk at the Citizen's hotel that we had reservations for the rooftop and he checked our reservation and took us up the elevator to the rooftop. Highly recommend making reservations in the weekends because you will be able to just walk-in. Once we got to the rooftop we decided to sit indoors and get table service. My friend and I ordered the shrimp shumai, chicken and cabbage dumplings, and the egg fried rice. The fried rice was really good. The dumplings were a bit underwhelming. For drinks we ordered the Mango mojito and their tiki drink which was delicious. We also later ordered an Aperol spritz which was also great. Overall, enjoyed the classy ambience, chill vibes, views from the rooftop, and the friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back here soon!

Want a decent spot to go after work? This place was ok. They didn't have many food options so it took away from the overall experience. The drinks were good though. I had two Moscow mules and a Mezcal margarita. Service started off blah but then we had a different bartender who took better care of us. Ugh I wish I would have remembered their name. I think it was Michael but he looked like he didn't wanna be there and it showed.

5 stars for the view and ambiance. 2 stars for drinks, both me and my friend's cocktails were so-so. We ordered Kips Kiwi and Canel club.

Recommend to visit after your dinner & make your reservations ahead!! Very limited snack menu since they are meant for drinking. Astonishing beautiful view out here. Couldn't get a reservation for the first 2 times but when I managed to snag a table, plenty of spot open on Resy. Hope there's more sweeter cocktail options. I came here at night with my friends, and this is by far one of the best rooftops I've been to. I have never ordered any more than one drink at a rooftop before, but here I ordered three cocktails! They were all so delicious!!! The service was great, and the ambiance is gorgeous. I absolutely love the outdoor seating variety, from couches, to bench style tables, to round tables. There is also plenty of comfortable indoor seating. The nyc views are immaculate. The cocktail prices aren't too crazy (you can get a certain cocktails for $15, which isn't bad for nyc). None of the cocktails I had were too bitter, too strong, or too sweet. They were all so refreshing, and my friends and I had a great time! I'm looking forward to coming back again, and I definitely recommend this spot to others.

Amazing views and ambiance. Came here for a panoramic and touristy view of the city at night and this delivered. You will need a reservation. It costs $50 to hold a spot, so make sure to show up on time. Drinks were pretty good, nothing crazy, but the views make up for it.

We were looking for a rooftop bar to check off on our NYC trip to do list.. A lot of the bars we had researched were more expensive and didn't have great views as a result of being in the center of everything where taller surrounding buildings obstruct the views. We happened to be dining nearby and found this place. Getting in was a bit strange because as someone coming off the street, you have to make a reservation for the bar even if they have space--it's all a part of the hotel's system as they have to make sure the actual hotel guests get first dibs. The whole place, including the lobby, is decorated in a rocker-glam-eclectic style--very cool and unique. The views were, as everyone else mentioned, excellent, with 270" outdoor views and the other 90 degrees covered via floor to ceiling windows inside. Their drink list is very creative and, if you take the stairs down to view the street art museum on display in the stairwell, you'll find the inspirations for the concoctions. My friend's dill pickle drink was actually really good, while my espresso drink was just okay. My one big gripe is that their music is a bit loud and it was sometimes hard to have a conversation even from across a small table. Speaking of the art, I do think it is well worth the hike down as long as you have good shoes and no knee problems. Be warned, it is 21 flights down on concrete and you have no option of hopping on an elevator halfway down. At the bottom though there are some chalkboard walls to make your own mark on this world (at least until someone erases it).

A sweet view and awesome lounge space. Apparently you're supposed to check in if it's open at the hotel front desk before you go upstairs. Also, make sure you check out the bathrooms.

Pricey, but great rooftop in LES atop of the Citizensm trendy hotel. Would recommend! The spacious rooftop us great for events or meeting up friends. The views are great as you can see the empire state building and most of midtown. Additionally the rooftop is excellent for sunset. Unfortunately we asked for a mezcal margarita and we were served a tequila margarita but the Asian waiter Heyokee made up for it by switching the drink out.

Love this rooftop bar in NY. Probably the best one I've checked out so far. Good music, great unobstructed views, classy vibes, and good number of seating. Even the views from the toilet are amazing. I've been here multiple times when I stayed at the hotel (it's much easier getting up there as a hotel guest), but when I came back another time not as a hotel guest, the front desk gave me a hard time about going upstairs even though my friends had a reservation and table. You can't just walk in because you need someone from the front desk to call the elevator to the rooftop for you.

I think this place was intended to be more of a rooftop lounge for hotel guests rather than a legitimate rooftop in the city. The bartender looked like he knew how to mix a soda and a liquor, but nothing more. The views could be quite nice I assume because of the floor to ceiling windows and unobstructed view but we went on an overcast day so it was alright. Come for the views, not for the drinks, music, or crowd.

4 or 5 for views and atmosphere and service, 2 or 3 for drinks. We stayed at this hotel so it was really great to have easy access to a rooftop bar. Amazing rooftop views. I just wish they had heaters outside so that it was more enjoyable. The inside is nicely decorated. Goes with the whole theme of the hotel. As for the drinks, they were just okay. I got some sort of gin drink that changed colors and they served it to me in a lightbulb glass. It quite literally tasted like battery acid.

Been here twice, will be back a third time. Always a great time, stunning view, and fairly priced snacks and drinks.

Great rooftop bar with unparalleled views of the city. The first time I came to check it out, I was very impressed with the chill attitude of the bartenders/hosts/waiters. I made reservations for one evening, and again the laid-back attitude was very welcoming, lacking any pretentiousness. We opted to sit outside. Many tables remained uncleared. We had to bus our own table; tables around us piled up with drinks They do not accept cash - a deplorable practice giving more power to the banks who showed such great leadership during the 2008 recession. The drinks were very sweet so we stopped after one. On the way out we took the stairs 20 flights to look at the Museum of Street Art (MOSA). Their attempt to give street art prominence is admirable. Do make reservations if you go. When we left the bar was almost empty but downstairs in the lobby, the clerk would not let guests in without a reservation.

Love this rooftop bar! Great view and seating options. The bartender made a great mocktail and my group sat and chilled for about 3 hours.

glamorous night view of the city!!! ceiling to floor glass windows & railings don't block any of it!! service was average, not bad but we did not feel particularly welcomed:') bartenders didn't seem like they wanted to make those drinks but maybe my drinks were just boring to make. social club vibes outdoor, lots of people standing around & talking (may be a bit disruptive if you're vibe is a gentle, seated conversation). drinks were of average enjoyment but I wouldn't dream of having it again. they were also not that strong but this place still wins my heart through it's views and sleek interior decor!!

Amazing views! Great drinks and nice vibes. Even the bathroom has a skyline view! We were group of 8. Firstly we were seated in two separate table and one of the server was very rude when a friend came over to our table to talk. Despite we could see the other tables were hanging out with many people coming over. This is the only reason to take off 2 stars. After requesting them multiple times, they finally accommodated all of us together on one table.

Amazing environment Josh and Jerry made amazing drinks. The appetizers were ok as we are vegetarian, they were out of Samosa. But the drinks were amazing. Josh and Jerry made some drinks of their choice they are awesome.

The cocktails are good! They are pricey but I mean you are at a rooftop hotel bar so I knew what I was getting myself into! The views are amazing honestly I think the drinks and views make this a good place to go to with a group and hangout. It's really worth it but.... DO NOT GET FOOD. the food is not good we got snacks like finger foods like Spring rolls which were fine and the edamame dip and pancakes which I would never get again nor recommend. They were bad. Overall would come back for some pre dinner drinks and chill session with a group of friends. I would not expect big things from their food. Hope this helps!

By far one of the best rooftop lounges/bars I have been to in NYC and mind you I have been to most of them! This is a relatively new place so it was still in pristine condition when we visited. It is locate don top of the hotel CitizenM which has a very artsy vibe. The rooftop in itself is very trendy and fun place. We went during the time when they had the hot chocolate pop up so we could enjoy that too. It is the best rooftop coz it has the views of most of the iconic buildings in nyc including the WTC and Empire state. You can see the entire skyline which is very pretty. Also the have an indoor as well as outdoor space for seating. The outdoor seating was equipped with blankets and heaters. It was such a pleasurable experience to be sipping hot chocolate while sitting under a blanket with the NYC skyline views. I am taking all my friends here!!

Came here for a drink before a concert at the Bowery Ballroom and it was the perfect pregame spot. The views are ridiculous. We got to catch the sunset right behind the freedom tower and it wasn't too busy on a Thursday evening which was nice for a chill drink. The cocktails were really good, just expect rooftop prices.

Beautiful views, great atmosphere, great service, yummy simple drinks. The amount of customers is still small, which makes it a great space for conversation and intimacy. Highly recommend.

Stop going to all the popular touristy rooftops (you know the ones) and check this place out. The two main things I look for in a rooftop is the view...and the drinks. Decor, food, vibe all come after. Otherwise I could be *anywhere* else. This place has it all. - Located inside the CitizenM hotel - I got off the elevator, walked in, and saw the skyline - They have amazing floor to ceiling windows that give you a full view of everything north-west of the hotel (this is just from the inside). - I walked in and saw people with their laptops (working I assume?) and others engaged in conversation - The couches look really comfy but we opted to get our drinks at the bar and sit outside. - The outside area feels like a park on the 21st floor. The chairs, the greenery, the tables. They even have couches outside with big poofy pillows. I LOVE it. - When we first arrived it was still raining but very quickly the sky cleared. That might also explain why we almost had the rooftop to ourselves. The bar staff worked really hard to dry off all the tables and chairs as quickly as possible. - Now for the view. Once you're outside. You can see EVERYTHING. Everything from the Freedom Tower, to Hudson Yards, to the Empire State Building. AND the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. - They really do offer a 360 degree view because once you head to the bathrooms, you'll be able to see outside as well! The bathroom windows are tainted in pink and for a moment, the rest of New York turns pink too. - I looked around and most of the cocktails had fresh fruit on the side. We both had the accountant kite surfer and it did not disappoint. Another bonus: their drinks are strong. - When you've gotten your fill of the view outside, go back inside and take some time to check out the decor. It's the definition of eclectic. - Come here for a date - Come here to sit on the inside couches and write all afternoon - Come for a quick catch up - Come as a big group - Bring your friends from out of town or even bring your friends from NYC. Most, if not all of them have probably not heard of this place yet. I may return a few times before this place gets too popular!

Loveeee the views from this spot!! The outdoor space is such a treat in the summers. The drinks are pretty decent but the best part is that they have nom wah dumplings. Had an amazing time with my friends and I highly recommend it!
