I was excited to try this restaurant after hearing great things from friends about the ambiance and tasty food. I visited on a Friday night and, as expected, there was a 30-minute wait for a table. Since I was prepared for it, I didn’t mind — and the beautiful interiors and ample parking made the wait more bearable.
We started with the Paani Poori, which had great reviews. For the main course, we ordered Goat Biryani, Karahi Chicken, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Virgin Mojito.
Service was underwhelming — the server seemed rushed, didn’t greet us or smile, and just went through the motions. The Virgin Mojito was disappointing, with soggy, brown mint leaves and lemon syrup instead of fresh lemon. It had a slight chemical taste. A restaurant of this caliber should definitely use fresh ingredients. To their credit, they replaced the drink when I pointed it out, and the second one was better.
The Paani Poori was nicely presented, but the poori seemed pre-packaged and the flavored water lacked depth. The Goat Biryani was just okay — mild in flavor, though I did enjoy the raita. Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala were standard. The only standout dish was the Karahi Chicken.
Portion sizes didn’t quite match the prices. Overall, while the ambiance is lovely, the food and service fell short of expectations. I’m not sure I’ll return unless the food quality is brought up to match the setting.
