"Renowned chef Jean-François Piège’s first venture outside of France is a collaborative effort with the upmarket department store Bellavita. The greatest hits from Chef Piège’s four restaurants in France are available à la carte and on the season-driven tasting menu. Local ingredients are deftly crafted in signature dishes like carbonara of wild squid where shredded squid is used in place of pasta, or lobster stewed in whole pumpkin with a seashell jus." - Michelin Inspector

We had dinner at Clover and tried both their signature menu and the Mother’s Day special. The service was truly impressive. The team made sure our courses were served in sync even though we ordered different menus and helped us share each dish seamlessly. It felt personal and smooth from start to finish. The portions were very generous. We were more than full by the end. The food was clean and straightforward, and you could clearly understand the ingredients in each dish. While the experience was satisfying, not every course was a standout. The flavors were more comforting than surprising. Clover is a great spot if you are looking for a well paced meal with excellent service and an easy to enjoy menu. It is a calm and pleasant way to celebrate a special evening.

<Clover Bellavita> 20250812 Lunch Overall, the flavors are well-balanced. Unlike L'ATELIER de Joël Robuchon, which focuses on surprising and wowing you with unexpected tastes or textures, Clover offers a warm and steady culinary journey — smooth, comforting, and fulfilling. From many of the dishes, I could sense that the chef is likely a cheese lover. The staff were all perfectly friendly and attentive. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here today, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The lobster was probably our favorite, but honestly, every dish was excellent. We’ll definitely be back. Next time, I might try ordering dishes with less cheese — but that’s purely a personal preference.

This is a really bad experience for me - totally not value for money. The food lacks nuance from a chef who worked in a Michelin restaurant. The price is considered very expensive in Taiwan and I definitely expect something more. Please do not go.

We had their lunch set menu with additional dessert and along with their wine pairing. The atmosphere is elegant, and the presentation of the food is sophisticated. The wine option is good. The food they served is delicious and above the standard. However, the services need to improve if they are aiming for the Michelin stars. By that, I mean "a lot" of improvements, reception, table services... some of the mistakes they made are not even acceptable for a fine dining restaurant.

This was one of the best lunches I've had this year. The grilled quail, with smoky eggplant, bitter greens, and mashed potatoes with walnut puree was sublime. Through this carefully planned and brilliantly prepared food, I could feel the autumn season coming, despite Taipei's heat. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful meal.

I am a fan of this restaurant. This was my second time at the restaurant and the second review. i am updating my review to 5 stars. The chef continues to churn out creatve courses that surprised me. One of my favorites this time was the scallop "dumpling" dishes with scallop on the outside with seaweed filling. I also enjoyed the cream cheese dessert with frothy pineapple mouse. A wonderful creation!! ************ (Original Review) Loved the silky liver mousse! It came in a shape of a tangerine with refreshing orange jam inside, creating a perfect and delightful balance. Beet flower soaked in mussle broth was also a nice surprise. Very impressed with the fish crackers. Great spin on the local shrimp crackers but with much more sophisticated in delicate shape and form with a touch of light cream cheese on the top. It's East meets West! Lots of thoughts and details given to the presentation. The restaurant is spacious with a chic bar. The service was good. Looks like the chef continues to come up with new creative dishes. Will come back again.
