Boston Dim Sum Destination China Pearl Is Reopening This Winter | Eater Boston

"The homegrown fast-casual vegetarian chain with about a dozen Boston-area restaurants has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing slow sales and low customer traffic; the company will keep operating through the bankruptcy and attempt to reorganize to stem its financial losses, including getting out of more costly leases." - Erika Adams

July 2024: This place is going to become one of my favorites. I can't believe this is all vegan!! The Nashville Hot Mushroom Platter has fried mushrooms with spicy sauce and salads on side. Crunchy and yummy. Also tried store-made ginger soda. Definitely different from ginger ale. It's less sweet and has more natural/real ginger flavor. Was not as bloating despite being carbonated. Really enjoyed the combo for lunch. Also packaging (eg the cup for the soda was made out of plants per label?!) is environmentally friendly as well 👍. Update 7/18/2025: the indoor sitting is currently unavailable as they fixing the bathroom (so gave 3 for atmosphere for fairness sake, will soon change I'm sure). Take-out is still open! They often have free sample new drinks at the entrance, today was blueberry basil. There is someone by the drinks stand who takes your orders and payment and then you pick it up at the actual cooking station/pick up area. The platters menu are not displayed on the big menu screen on the left side wall. Please check their website for full menu. Tried Blue Oyster Mushroom Platter today (pictured) cuz it sounded fancy. Hot and crunchy (so crunchy that my plastic fork shattered into pieces during the meal LOL) and nice assortment of sides but the fried oyster was bit too salty for me. Comes with hot fresh pita bread. Their packaging is so environmentally friendly which I appreciate.

We had lunch here during our recent visit to boston. We ordered the Mediterranean bowl and pushpir sandwich. The food tasted good but it was super cold. The ingredients put in our bowl were grabbed right out of refrigerator. It ruined our entire eating experience. It felt like we were eating leftovers right from fridge. I would expect atleast a room temperature meal. The pushpir sandwich tasted good but again had same problem.

Google
The chickpea fritter sandwich was just what I was hoping for. All ingredients present and correct. Slightly messy if not eaten carefully but it was worth it. Also loved the Mediterranean bowl and the potato salad was special, whatever they put in there. I love the environmentally sustainable approach they strive for, locally sourced ingredients, etc. Can’t wait to try them again!

Google
Really poor experience. Our lunch for two cost nearly $50. Meatball sub, fries and shwarma bowl with a water bottle. Like many others have shared, the ingredients in the bowl were cold, and inedible. How this place has a 4.5 star average is beyond me. The pricing needs to be updated so other families aren't surprised when they walk in.

I recently started eating here. I've been eating sandwiches, juices, water and sodas. My main sandwich would be the Chickpea Fritter sandwich. Think of a soft pita bread, filled with red cabbage. After a few bites, you discover what I believe are Pickles, carrots, hummus and some other good stuff I usually don't eat. Next up is the Blue oyster fried mushroom. I don't like mushrooms, don't like seafood, and don't like blue. Lol Jk. However, I found myself eating this, and it was good. Next was the fannelle I think which is seasonal, and had to be picked out my teeth. Last was the BBQ Seitan. Not sure what it was made of. Didn't like it like the others. I also tried the Vanilla Soda. It smelled good, but made me think of vanilla alka-seltzer. The juices are good. Small but good. Local bottled water was cool to try. Unique and you get free refills. Room temp, carbonated hot are offered. Friendly greeters and cashiers.

Google
Very sad experience. Portion size is less than 1/3 compared to what they show in their menu photos. The bowls/dishes were more than half empty. The fritters tiny. Better order double if you don’t want to end up hungry.

Google
Was picking up an order for Uber once and while I was waiting on an order, the cook kindly asked if I’d like a sandwich. This sandwich (chickpea fritter) was made in error so it would’ve been garbage. I haven’t eaten at all that day and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. So bright, filling, flavorful and healthy to top it off. Nice place, nice staff at this location I will definitely be back.

Google
Love the idea of the restaurant and the staff taking my order were super friendly. Food was just ok, falafel was cold and very over cooked. Salad sides didn’t have very good flavor. Hummus and pita was delicious.

Yelp
Looking for a balanced plant-forward lunch that won't break your wallet? Clover is the perfect lunch spot for a healthy, delicious vegetarian meal. Their meals aren't boring and are actually super flavorful. I got the mushroom popper platter which came with 4 sides (pita, chickpea salad, farro salad, and kale) so every bite was different.

Yelp
We were looking for healthy options to eat and Clover came up in the list. We dined at the restaurant and it was almost empty on a Sunday afternoon. Each one of us ordered a dish including the chickpea fritter sandwich, mushroom parm platter, and the bridgewater platter. On the side, we had the rosemary fries and the rosemary lemonade. Overall, our experience was good. The food was tasty, portions weren't too large but were sufficient. The chickpeas fritter sandwich came loaded and was actually a little difficult to eat and had to be deconstructed! The reason for taking one star off was that the food arrived cold even though we dined in. The fries especially were just stone cold. It was ironic that we were sitting right next to the sign which said that the fries here are cut only 10 mins before you eat them. It certainly didn't feel like it. And while you can eat certain items cold, fries are not it.

Yelp
I have been a patron of this restaurant since I first started working in the local area five years ago. My favorite sandwich is the mayor Menino's. I grew up vegetarian, and I have not ever tasted anything like it. Their service is impeccable. The food is delicious, order ahead is available via an app. The location is super convenient to the Longwood medical area. I only have to minus one star because it is very pricey and not something I could well afford on a daily basis. One new improvement I can testify to is that they have come out with a discount program and if you are a patron of this restaurant quite frequently, you may find that financially feasible for you. But for me and my wallet, my monthly trips to Clover for the mayor Menino sandwich will have to suffice; definitely a must have.

Yelp
So good I had to stop by two days in a row! Really excellent vegetarian/vegan shop that is very close to the hospitals. Super interesting sandwich's, bowls, and wraps. The Buffalo chicken sandwich base was celeriac? It was so cool! The soy bacon in the BLT was also excellent, lightly smoky and meaty. The inside is modern and clean. Service was very quick and they have multiple restrooms available. Overall, I wish I could have tried every single thing on this menu and will definitely be returning if I'm ever in the area again.

Yelp
Great food if you're vegan or vegetarian!! My personal favorites are the verde bowl and coconut lentil soup. The staff is so nice, if you're confused which soup to go for, they can give you a sample of each. They also help with the type of salad bowl you should go for if you've never had it before. Their specialty coffees are the best!
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
The employees here are absolutely delightful--they greet everyone who walks in and explain the menu in a helpful way to newbies. They offer up staff favorites seamlessly and gave lots of great recommendations/explanations (which is probably why the wall menu didn't have item descriptions). Inside was quite spacious and not busy on a January Thursday for late lunch (1:15). I ended up grabbing the verde rice and bean bowl for $11.25 and it was tasty! There are fried plantains (the highlight for me!), pickled onions, shredded carrots, green onion, jalapeños which were perfect and added a kick, rice & beans (and probably a few others great ingredients haha). It was nice and warm for this cold day! It looked like most of their coffee was pour over style (which we love), and I overheard a recommendation for the George Howell roast so will be back to try this and their other house-made drinks!

Yelp
A refreshing modern take on a vegetarian restaurant. I'm definitely a meat lover but I was converted here. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 9/10 Modern setup of a restaurant with good lighting and situated in the Longwood Medical Area. It definitely goes well with the vibe of its namesake as Clover Food Lab. SERVICE: 9/10 Service is very good both in house and for delivery. Packaging is minimal and sustainable per the mission of the restaurant but is also usable and useful. FOOD: 10/10 Japanese Sweet Potato Platter - 10/10 - A limited time item made from a specific Japanese potato harvest, I tried this after several rave recommendations. This was simply phenomenal. The shoyu mayo sauce complemented the thin crispy exterior and soft melt in your mouth interior. This was an amazing dish that I ended coming back twice more as it was not going to last forever. VALUE: 7/10 It is in the pricier range but still reasonable. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 10/10 TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: Eat some veggies! OVERALL: 9/10

Yelp
Never disappoints. Always great food - from the bowls to the sandwiches to the fries. Great lemonade, too! Service is quick and employees are friendly. Restaurant is always clean and inviting.

Yelp
Very Spacious interior, great for larger groups. This was a recommendation by my vegan co-worker. The staff was very nice and friendly. I got the Chickpea Fritter sandwich which was really good and filling. I ordered on Doordash for pick up, I wish they had the mushroom sandwich option available there so that I can try it next time.

Yelp
The food here is bomb (and I'm not even vegan)! The ingredients are flavorful and fresh, and the food comes out fast. You're greeted at the entrance and someone with an iPad takes your order. My main gripe is the price - I paid $17 for the Mediterranean platter and a side pita, which was a lot for a quick lunch. I feel like the pita should be included in the price since otherwise there's no good way to eat the large amounts of hummus. I appreciate that they have ample seating and that all their materials are compostable.

Yelp
Recently started being a frequenter here and got to try a fair variety to give it an overall review now. For all the Yelpers out there, I'm going to help solve the battle between the chickpea fritter sandwich and the Impossible meatball sandwich once and for all. Hands down, the chickpea fritter sandwich takes the medal here. It's an oldie but goodie. I love the combo of pickled veggies, tahini and hummus tucked in the pita bread. (5 stars) I've even tried the snack version, the falafel skewers when I wasn't in the sandwich mood. (4 stars) Both options are solid and gives the original falafel folks a run for their money. The Impossible meatball sandwich was good but it reminded me more of a classic meatball sandwich but in a pita. Great option if you've been missing meatballs and wanted to go vegetarian though. (3.5 stars). What was also very unexpected was how tasty the egg and eggplant sandwich was! (5 stars) It reminded me a bit of the classic egg salad but way more sophisticated and healthier. If you're in the mood for some mushrooms, thumbs up for the Shiitake Chowder (5 stars) over the Baja Mushroom sandwich (3.5 stars) and if you're debating between soups, choose this chowder over the lentil (3 stars). I even appreciate that you can get carbonated water free of charge and I help myself to some each time I drop in. The only item I would probably skip on my next trip are the rosemary fries likely because it's much more healthier and it just didn't have the oomph I usually look for in fries so I think I'll stick to the dirty greasy crispy fries in the classic sense. Overall, a terrific sandwich spot in this area even though it's sort of chaotic during the lunch rush and I wish I lived closer to one to make this a more routine option!

Yelp
I was a fan when they first opened years ago and I've always loved their eggplant dish. Today I tried it again after moving back to the Boston area, it was pretty disappointed. The BBQ seitan sandwich was dry. Service was lackluster - even when I tipped, the counter person didn't make eye contact when saying thank you or when handing me my order.

Yelp
Omgggg the food was amaaaaazing!!!!! At first I was worried that it wouldn't fill me up because I eat a lot, but I was wrong! I got the chickpea fritter pita, which was their very first menu item. The rosemary fries smells sooooo good and you can taste and smell the aroma. Very healthy and leaves you satisfied and wanting for more!

Rachael L.

Yelp
I have a gluten intolerance and ordered a soup here to go which was explicitly marked gluten-free on their online menu, no modification options. The soup came with chunks of bread added on top. There was no heads up for this, no option to skip the bread, etc. I was tending to a family member in the hospital system nearby and couldn't head back to request a new order. I've tried contacting Clover for a partial refund twice, at different email addresses, and have gotten no response (it's now weeks later). As they state online, they have no phone number. Will not be returning and I recommend avoiding this place if you have any food allergies.

Yelp
Need a quick, yet healthy pick-me-up? TRY this place. It's a vegan restaurant that's flavorful, healthy, fast-service, and most importantly filling. Favorite platter to try Baja mushroom. It's wow goodness. You've got crispy breaded fried mushrooms balanced with a healthy salad: cabbage, carrots, and radishes. The best part right now is the seasonal: apple salad. Calorie count with the side dish: around 300 calories. Clover Food Lab has a plethora of options: snacks, sandwiches, soups, salad to baked goods, and even drinks! The only downside for this place is the cost: each platter is about $11.19, so you're really paying for each ingredient and the quality of the meal

Yelp
I came here to try the impossible meatball sandwich. Flavor was good but nothing special. My complaint is that the sandwich was small and waay tooo expensive! $17.50 for a few little meatballs on a small pita and nothing else???? If you're going to charge an entree price at least make it a plate with some fries or a small salad! What seems impossible is how they get away with charging so much!
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently good and always a good choice when needing something healthy and delicious when at work. I've enjoyed everything on the menu, but in particular gravitate toward the items with mushrooms or impossible meat. I miss the Bridgewater, which is made with buttermilk-fried cremini mushrooms with a honey-sriracha glaze, and a fresh kale-and-red-onion slaw. If that doesn't get you to Clover, not sure what will. Other favorites include the popover breakfast sandwich as well as their pourover coffee (recently the orange rind cafe au lait has really been hitting the spot). Outside of to-go orders, I've also tried their holiday-themes boxes, which were thoughtfully packaged, fresh, and felt well worth the price. All together, the ingredients and the food itself is very high quality. The one thing I do wish for sometimes is larger portions for the price as often I'm left still a bit hungry. Keep up the great work!
google avatar

Yelp
A solid lunch option for the area- I feel like their prices are a lil $$$ but it is what it is.. They have their own pour over coffee but if you order one it takes a good 5-10 mins for it. Lots of seating, spaced out which is quite nice since places are usually stacked with tables 2 inches from each other nowadays
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
Really flavorful, fresh, healthy food and convenient if you're going to any of the medical centers nearby. Their falafel are different from what I'm used to, but great -- they're small and super crispy (so instead of 2 or 3 golfball-sized falafel, you get 6-8 mini ones). The hummus is creamy, and you get lots of very fresh vegetables (no mushy cucumbers or sad lettuce mix). The sauces are also excellent. I also love the hibiscus tea.

Peter G.

Yelp
Good breakfast sandwiches and service. Clean restaurant. No real meat but substitute is good.
google avatar

Cezanne H.

Yelp
A great coffee, breakfast and lunch spot that cares for local farming but delivers delicious coffee & meals.

Jaron F.

Yelp
Was walking to another breakfast spot and saw their sign for a pesto breakfast sandwich and had to try it... it was awesome! Everything is super fresh and so is the coffee! They are not listed as breakfast, but they most definitely have creative breakfast sandwiches that are made to order quickly on delicious bread. This place is a gem!

Yelp
The food is pretty fantastic here! I would say the service needs a slight improvement but one million stars for how tasty the vegetarian food options are and for the ambiance and spaciousness this eatery offers. I've ordered here: 1.) The Baja Mushroom Pita Sandwich (summer spacious) - 4 stars. This is not at all spicy and the mushrooms have some hard chewy parts that can be tough to work through. But the cornmeal buttermilk coating on the mushroom is yummy as is the pita spread. 2.) Chickpea Fritter Pita Sandwich - 5 star. Must order, fan favorite and very loaded with all the veggies 3.) BLT Pita Sandwich - 5 stars. Must order, Secret menu item that you have to ask for. I'm not sure why they don't have it on the menu because it's utterly delicious and my favorite menu item here! 4.) Chocolate Whoopie Pies - 5 stars. Served after 5 pm on Friday's. Definitely a must order item and has a light cream cheese whipped filling. Utterly mouth watering! This Clover location is by far the best I've been to. The eatery is huge and there's plenty of seating and areas to move around. There's even a bar top to sit at where you can get a closer view of the beautiful open kitchen concept they have. My own gripe with this location is that they are constantly running out of ingredients. I guess it's good they are selling food so quickly but I really wish they were better stocked. I also wish their digital cashier system or lack there of was better organized. Digital cashiers need a podium or something to stand behind so customers can line up more efficiently instead of scattering like ants and creating a crowd right in front of the office.

Yelp
I went to a coffee shop next door to Clover and asked out of the 2 other shops ( they're all next to each other), which is the best. Coffee dude told me to go next door and try the pourover. So, I did. Now, I'm hooked. So smooth, fresh and delicious. I got the Ethiopian mix. Please go try it and tell me what ya think

Yelp
This clover must have four leaves, because Boston is incredibly lucky to have a restaurant with this concept. Even San Francisco doesn't have a veg restaurant this spot on. I wish I could clone it and bring it back with me. I walked in and was greeted warmly by Sarah, who came around from the counter to walk me through their large digital menu board. She explained that they were a big food truck presence around Boston and have expanded to restaurant spaces because of their popularity. Everything is vegetarian or vegan and completely locally sourced. I would have liked to have seen more of the ingredients in detail on the digital menu or, at the very least, some kind of symbol that indicates which items are (or could be made) vegan. Fortunately there wasn't a line behind me and I had Sarah right there with me to answer my questions. Customer service is clearly a priority here, and it's so refreshing. I was also given a free sample of their new Thai coffee as I looked over the mouth-watering menu. I decided on a veganized version of the chickpea fritter sandwich (which I'm told is what they are best known for), a side of rosemary fries, and a coffee. As I waited, I got to check out the large, modern space and open kitchen. There is ample seating and the whole interior is bright, clean, and filled with natural light. The sandwich I received was monstrous and needed to be cut in half. It was loaded with carrots, pickles, hummus, cabbage slaw and tomato-cucumber salad. Everything was fresh, from the soft pita bread to the well-spiced falafel. The hummus was flavorful but not overpowering and the pickled veggies added the right balance. I devoured it and have come to the conclusion that it is one of the single best vegan sandwiches that I have ever had. The fries were good, and topped with fresh sprigs of rosemary. Although a tad too heavy on the sea salt for my taste, they were crispy and thin. I also tried the housemade ketchup, which was just tangy enough. The coffee was good but the soymilk was just basic and unsweetened. I would have liked to had the option of almondmilk instead. If I lived in Boston and needed a great space to work or study this would be my kind of place. The wifi is free and unlike the somber tone of coffeehouse music, the vibe was upbeat with a mix of motown favorites. Clover won me over and I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
I wouldn't identify myself as a vegetarian but out of all the food options in the Longwood area this is always my #1 choice. The only factor deterring me from here is that it can get pricey (you won't find a lunch/dinner sandwich for less than $9, and their sandwiches aren't that big either). If I was rich I would eat here for every meal. However, the quality of their food is amazing and everything tastes so good. Their sandwiches are always perfectly balanced with the right sauces, seasonal vegetables, and protein that you wouldn't even miss meat if you were craving it (or just get the impossible meatball sandwich). I love that they make everything fresh to order and at the same time, pride themselves in quick service. It gets very busy around noontime on weekdays but even then I usually get my order within minutes of paying. Their drip coffee is super strong. You pay over $3 a cup but trust me, it'll hit you like two (or three) shots of espresso. This location has so much seating and also has beer on tap for $5 a pint. Within the past few months, Clover introduced a line of "snacks" on their menu (falafel skewers, fried mushrooms, hummus and carrots). They're great for sharing or if you're not as hungry, and they're also a bit cheaper than the sandwiches ($6-7). I've yet to try all of them but their hummus is so amazingly creamy. If you're visiting Boston then I'd strongly recommend the rosemary fries, their seasonal sandwiches, or anything that features their hummus (like the chickpea fritter or egg and eggplant). If you'll be in Boston for a while then I recommend slowly working your way through the menu because I'm sure you'll want to come back!

Yelp
Ok I literally was here for lunch 10 hours ago and I can't stop thinking about how DELICIOUS that sandwich was. I got the egg and eggplant and it was to die for. I wish I could have that sandwich every day of my life. Also besides the sandwich, the service was stellar! I told the man working it was my first time at Clover and he was so nice and helpful! Will for sure be returning!

Yelp
We came here only because bgood was closed at 9pm. It was empty when we walked in and the server was excellent! He explained different menu items and even let us sample a few of the salads! +1 for customer service! We ended up ordering the chickpea fritter, rosemary fries, farro and feta salad, and the carrot soup. All items tasted good, nothing too specatcular. We used to eat at clover more frequently, but we feel that the flavors aren't as we remembered. After leaving clover, we felt the same way. Our tummies were full but our taste buds weren't satisfied. This place is good if you're looking for a late night snack in the Longwood area because they're open til 11:30pm.
google avatar

Vincent Y.

Yelp
Very good sandwiches. Was my first time here and the person who took my order was very friendly. A little bit on the expensive side...so expect to spend around $10-20 here per person. Reason why I ak giving this a 4 is because there is no phone to call ahead
google avatar

Mirvett K.

Yelp
I definitely have to remember this place whenever I'm in Boston. I had to wait an hour until I can visit my husband at the hospital (COVID) so I went and got some breakfast and glad that I did. The sandwich I ordered was amazing it had eggplant and boiled eggs and tahini Sauce with tomatoes and cucumbers in a small pita bread. Holy crap that was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you are in the hospital area.

Steve G.

Yelp
Way too expensive especially for the small servings. Quality has gone way down. I used to like Clover but the prices are now way too high for what you get.

Yelp
I quickly became obsessed with Clover during my recent 5-day trip to Boston. I actually heard about it before arriving, but discounted it because I was too confused by their website. I'm so glad my friend I was visiting told me to come here! This location was the first one I visited, for breakfast. I don't like egg, so opted to go with the popover sandwich instead of their very popular breakfast sandwich. It was awesome! Tempeh bacon, cheese and tomato on a popover. I didn't even think I needed or wanted this. But wow, so excellent! I visited two other Clover locations during the long weekend for lunch and dinner, which were also excellent. The pitas that all of the sandwiches are served in are so fluffy and delicious. I had both the chickpea fritter (code for falafel) and BBQ seitan sandwiches, and really liked both of them. I'll definitely be back to this location and any other I stumble across next time I'm in Boston to continue working my way down the menu!
google avatar

S P.

Yelp
We love this place - the menu always has lot of good meatless/vegetable heavy stuff and the staff is great - friendly and good at their jobs. It's fresh, quick, and there are unusual choices available if you like. I loved that they had breakfast sandwiches that didn't include egg or even egg substitutes, and the breads are delicious. The only negatives are the portion sizes (we usually leave hungry, actually) and the understandable (COVID) lack of self serve condiments. Our meals would have been improved by salt (not that they were under seasoned, I'm not normal) and hot sauce (again, that's me). Also, I wish they had locations in RI or at least further away from Boston itself. It's definitely on my short list of favorite chains and I'd like to visit more!

Yelp
Clover, you let me down today. I have been a loyal Clover customer since they were just operating out of food trucks. When they opened their location in Harvard Square, it became one of my go-to spots. When they opened the location inside the Harvard Science Center, I specifically stopped in to pick up food and carried my to-go bag all the way to South Station because I was not about to gamble with those South Station food stalls. I wanted my Clover. And, until today, Clover never disappointed. My favorite item on the Clover menu is the egg and eggplant sandwich. I have ordered this item at their other locations and enjoyed the pita chock-full of delicious veggies and a beautifully splayed out egg. But not today. Today, I got a sad, half-filled pita with a clumsy egg shoved inside. At first I thought there was a mistake, so I went back to the girl who made my sandwich. She did not do anything. I'm not sure what to make of this incident. The sandwich was still tasty, but it was not at the level that I have come to expect from Clover (especially for a sandwich that costs $9 after tax). And it has made me second-guess my loyalty, at least when I am in the Longwood area. So you can see what I mean, I'm uploading a photo where I compare an egg and eggplant sandwich I got from the Clover in HSQ with the one I received today. EDIT: Received a prompt apology from Clover after I posted this. Really appreciate that the business takes customer views into account. Will update after my next visit to LMA!

Yelp
The mobile order/pick up option is well coordinated and best out of what I have experienced in Boston! Packaging was also well thought out, explaining the owners' journey in the endeavor!

Yelp
Clover's labs chickpea fritter snadwich is amazing but this store has managed to make it really pathetic. Today, they sent me some random brussel sprout sandwich with PEANUTS when I ordered chickpea fritter sandwich

Yelp
How is this place right across from my workplace and I JUST tried it out?! This place is sooo good- they have an interesting vegetarian menu that at first glance might make a meat lover shy away...but trust me, once you try it you'll want to come back (and I love meat!!). Omg the chickpea fritter pita sandwich is amazing- I have literally never had anything like it. The veggies in it are fresh, while the falafel balls are soft in the inside and crispy on the outside-providing a nice contrast in both texture and flavors. All of this sandwiched in between pita bread, making for a delightful meal. Just a word of caution: it's a bit messy eating this thing because it's so huge so make sure to get those extra napkins!! The fries were also great--they were seasoned nicely with sea salt and rosemary. Would recommend to get it to accompany your entree. I saw so many customers order JUST a side of fries so all the more proof of why they are heavenly. Clover has been the lunch spot that I've been missing! Food is delicious and the staff here are super kind and passionate about their food. But good thing it's super close to work cause I need to make up for all the lost time ;)

Yelp
Delicious! Truth be told, my favorite was the potato leek soup topped with potato chips.

Yelp
Glorious new spot for LMA. Architecture here is great. I love the ironworks standing table contraption, long wood table and more modern ikea-esque booths. Friendly service who approach you upon entering to take your order in real time conversational style. Interactive menu shows what they're out of, specials for the day, and estimated wait times which are super helpful for the busy LMA folk. Food is delicious and healthy--the tried and true Clover vegetarian reputation from other locations. The egg and eggplant and oyster mushroom sandwiches are my favorite. Omnivores and herbivores will all be pleased. Their drinks are lovely and range from house made tea to hipster sodas. Prices are decent and at the same price to lower than its neighbors. Hours are early and late--definitely appreciated in this neighborhood.

Yelp
5 star experience grabbing lunch at Clover on a Tuesday afternoon. I was greeted by two cashiers taking customer's orders on their phone. One asked me if I had been to a Clover before, when I said no she took me through the menu and made some recommendations. Whatever she was using on her phone linked to the big menu on the wall and created a great interactive experience. I ordered the chickpea fritter sandwich which totaled $9 even. It was called out in less than 2 minutes which was great and unexpected given the lunch rush! The sandwich was amazing! The pita was warm, the chickpea fritters were crispy, and the veggies were crunchy. Everything was seasoned well and could easily stand alone, which for me is a hallmark of a great sandwich. Loved the unexpected pickles and pickled carrots and cabbage. I will definitely be back to order this again and try out some of their other menu items. Great experience from customer service to taste.

Yelp
Delicious, cheap, local food for omnivores and vegans alike! Clover focuses on turning high-quality, properly-sourced ingredients into unique dishes bursting with texture and flavor. Can't recommend visiting enough!

Yelp
Is $18 for a sandwich, fries, and a drink way too expensive? Yes. Is Clover perpetuating the harmful Alice Waters-esque myth that fresh, local food can only be attainable by those who can afford it? Yes. Is Clovers marketing eerily similar to a culinary version of Trump's twitter? Yes ("Nobody sells more black coffee than we do.") Are some of the sandwiches simply fantastic? Yes. Especially the Nashville Hot Mushroom and the Zucchini, when they're available. Do I love them for giving props to In-N-Out fries? Super yes. Sigh. Another day, another $18...

Yelp
Every time I try their falafal, it has gotten better. They keep tweaking the recipe. I haven't been to Clover in a while, but just got the falafal plate and it was SO good! I don't think I would come to this place at lunchtime. It's just too busy. But it's a delightful place to stop in for a quick dinner, when there is no line.

Yelp
Chains are chains but I like their pour over coffee set ups and the beyond meat sandwiches because I'm a sucker for anything vegan.

Yelp
I need to start off by saying I love the interior of this place. It's so modern and spacious! Now onto the more important things: service and food. My friends and I were greeted instantly when we walked in and the guy asked if we've all been before. I was the only one who has not been before so he recommended me the chickpea fritter sandwich, which my friends also suggested. I normally like to take my time looking at the menu but if that's what's suggested by everyone, it can't be bad right? It wasn't. For $8.51 (including tax), I got a hugeee sandwich that fed me a meal and a half. A little messy to eat but that's to be expected when it's literally PACKED with goodies. I got to try my friends rosemary fries which were really good too. For some reason, even though I'm not a fan of plain seltzer, it felt wrong to not get the free seltzer from the dispenser. It just worked well with the food somehow! Some great, friendly service and big, delicious portions at a reasonable price? I'm sold. Would definitely come back, and I'm surprised I haven't been prior because I go to school right down the street. Be wary though - I did get a tummy ache shortly after but that's most likely because my body hasn't had healthy food in weeks because college stress is real LOL.

Yelp
Good food, especially if you like vegetarian dishes. It's more of a food court ambiance than restaurant. Can be quite noisy. Never knew vegetarian food could be so tasty.

Yelp
Friendly, helpful service. Help explain options and even shows you on a screen what's included in each item. Personable, also, have water available so bring your own bottle, or they have small cups. The food was really delicious and very healthy. Atmosphere is extremely casual, but lots of seating, indoor and out.

Yelp
It's good, and it's vegetarian. I wish the menu was more clear and consistent. I'm never really sure what a sandwich or platter comes with and the cashiers act like I'm a moron for not understanding. It literally doesn't say on the menu, of course I'm going to ask. Even then the answer seems arbitrary and unclear. Another problem with the menu is not distinguishing vegan items. For a "vegetarian" only restaurant they make no effort to cater to Vegans. Impossible meats and similar items are arbitrarily paired with cheese and/or mayo.

Yelp
plant based options, though vegetarian, some items are vegan, soups, sides, salads. Recently, when I found cheese at the bottom of my parsnip platter, after ordering it vegan, the staff was indifferent, but Clover customer service offered me a replacement meal, which was terrific. I am a big fan of Clover, do wish there were more all vegan options. Creative, well-executed, quality, fresh, locally sourced ingredients
