On the Grid : Clover

"This vegetarian spot’s constantly-changing menu means there’s always something new to try. Most of Boston shutters its doors around 2 AM, but this Central Square location stays open throughout the night. With its giant wooden table that snakes through the back of the restaurant, there’s room for a group of friends to grab a bite after a night of dancing." - Intrepid

Boston Restaurant Takeout and Delivery Meal Packages, Winter 2022 - Eater Boston

"The local vegetarian chain offers a variety of meal boxes — some based on a theme or upcoming holiday, some featuring a mix of Clover classics. Meals are meant to be easily put together in five to 10 minutes. Prices vary, but the “starter box,” available on Mondays, is $100 and feeds one or two people five meals, a snack, several desserts, and DIY sodas with seasonal syrups; it includes Clover favorites like chickpea fritter sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

I really love this spot. They prepare food and orders FAST. They have extra little things I need like bags of coffee, cute stuff, canned drinks. The food is really fantastic and understated and a real treat. I am a longtime Clover lover and I just went today and loved it so much I felt compelled to put it in a review :)

I hadn’t been to clover in a while and just came here for lunch and picked up two bowls. The summer celebration bowl (zucchini and corn) was very bland and soggy and didn’t come with any protein. It came with a single tomato and some pretty inedible zucchini. The Mediterranean bowl was okay (not sure how it’s different from a chickpea fritter platter?) but smaller and ended up being more expensive than a similar bowl from Cava, which has many more options. The man checking me out asked if I wanted bread and I said sure but didn’t mention it would be an up charge which is a real pet peeve of mine (especially since bread is free at most cast casual places). The whole meal came out to $30 for what was a pretty disappointing and not filling experience.

Needed a nice light meal while moving our son into MIT. Saw Clover ( never saw one before ) and decided to try it out after looking over the menu. Ordered 1 Chickpea Fritter Plater, 2 Heirloom Tomato Sandwiches and 1 fried potatoes order. Also had 1 side boiled egg. I personally didn't taste the player but, looking at it the presentation was very nice. I was told it was very good and tasted great. I did have the pickles off the player and they were very good tasting pickles. I had 1 of the Heirloom Tomato Sandwiches. It came on a warm pita bread with mayonnaise, lattice and some type of cheese ( I actually don't recall what type of cheese ). The sandwich was very good. I would definitely get it again. I am sure it's seasonal because the tomato tasted vine ripe. The fries were also very good. I was served a nice sized order which I shared. The service was very friendly.

Amazing find! Not being from Boston I was glad to stumble across this place. I walked in and was greeted by Kevin and the staff here, very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the food they prepared. He explained the different menu items and what they were off the top of his head, and showed me how to order correctly from their website. I placed an order and it was ready within 8 minutes of placing it. I got a chance to stay outside and smell the deliciousness they were cooking (while even still wearing a mask) The food itself was amazing. I ordered the Chickpea fritter as per their suggestion (first time I’ve eaten chickpea) and it was so good. Paired with their French fries with rosemary and vanilla soda, it was so worth the price. Absolutely delicious!

Its expensive for what it is, however the food is always good. the chickpea fritter and bowl are a stable and is great every time. If you sign up for their rewards program you get free fries as well so definitely take advantage of that.

Hello, you can't spell Clover without Love! Hi, this is a totally Bias review as, I, Antoria love them like they my Babies. I worked for clover once and fell instantly The food is fresher than they get credit for. With Eggs that had been laid just 48hrs before, and fries cut and cooked to order! I always said if it grows and you can eat it; Clover will turn it into lemonade 😍 They started off as just a food truck experiment and now they are looking ready to take over the fast food game. Oh and they are meatless.
