On the Grid : Clover

"This vegetarian spot’s constantly-changing menu means there’s always something new to try. Most of Boston shutters its doors around 2 AM, but this Central Square location stays open throughout the night. With its giant wooden table that snakes through the back of the restaurant, there’s room for a group of friends to grab a bite after a night of dancing." - Intrepid

Boston Restaurant Takeout and Delivery Meal Packages, Winter 2022 | Eater Boston

"I summarized Clover’s meal boxes (pickup at the 1075 Cambridge St. location only) that are designed to be assembled in five to 10 minutes; the starter box ($100) feeds one or two and supplies five meals, a snack, several desserts, and DIY sodas, and the chain delivers within a 30‑mile radius of Cambridge (free over $60). My family just enjoyed the Thanksgiving Box from Clover yesterday. A few things: Service was fast and efficient, ordering was easy, I was in and out with my box in minutes It was a ton of food. We ordered the meal for 4, even though there were 5 of us; we'll have leftovers for days Heating instructions were easy and straightforward Last - but not least - the food was spectacular. Great variety, one dish was tastier than the next. Everyone was very happy with our choice to go with Clover this year!

I really love this spot. They prepare food and orders FAST. They have extra little things I need like bags of coffee, cute stuff, canned drinks. The food is really fantastic and understated and a real treat. I am a longtime Clover lover and I just went today and loved it so much I felt compelled to put it in a review :)

I hadn’t been to clover in a while and just came here for lunch and picked up two bowls. The summer celebration bowl (zucchini and corn) was very bland and soggy and didn’t come with any protein. It came with a single tomato and some pretty inedible zucchini. The Mediterranean bowl was okay (not sure how it’s different from a chickpea fritter platter?) but smaller and ended up being more expensive than a similar bowl from Cava, which has many more options. The man checking me out asked if I wanted bread and I said sure but didn’t mention it would be an up charge which is a real pet peeve of mine (especially since bread is free at most cast casual places). The whole meal came out to $30 for what was a pretty disappointing and not filling experience.

This meal felt like a little adventure: sandwiches dripping with flavor like treasure spilling from a chest, fries that crunched like stepping on autumn leaves, and lemonade that sparkled like bottled sunshine. Everything worked together in perfect harmony- playful, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. 10/10, would happily risk sandwich stains again.

Needed a nice light meal while moving our son into MIT. Saw Clover ( never saw one before ) and decided to try it out after looking over the menu. Ordered 1 Chickpea Fritter Plater, 2 Heirloom Tomato Sandwiches and 1 fried potatoes order. Also had 1 side boiled egg. I personally didn't taste the player but, looking at it the presentation was very nice. I was told it was very good and tasted great. I did have the pickles off the player and they were very good tasting pickles. I had 1 of the Heirloom Tomato Sandwiches. It came on a warm pita bread with mayonnaise, lattice and some type of cheese ( I actually don't recall what type of cheese ). The sandwich was very good. I would definitely get it again. I am sure it's seasonal because the tomato tasted vine ripe. The fries were also very good. I was served a nice sized order which I shared. The service was very friendly.

The service was awesome, people were very talkative. But don’t be thrown off by the bag that smells like catfood, it actually contains really mid fries…. I don’t really have an opinion on the wraps except that they don’t have much kick or flavor to them. A guy walked in while I was waiting and asked “why’d y’all move from downtown?” I know why
