Had the famous falafel sandwich at Clover in front of Harvard—easily one of the best I’ve had in a while. The pita was slightly toasted on the outside, giving it a nice crunch, and the filling was super juicy and packed with flavor. Fresh, satisfying, and definitely worth the hype. Will be back!

Google
Very nice place to eat, the staff is super nice and friendly. I got the Mediterranean bowl and it was very good! Also right next to Harvard, so perfect location. Would always come back:)

As a vegetarian traveler, this spot is a must-visit (especially since the chain is limited to the Greater Boston area). The food was decent with a few pleasantly surprising elements, though not mind-blowingly good. I particularly enjoyed the hibiscus iced tea. Ordering is done at an open counter, essentially talking to a clerk face-to-face, where they'll gladly explain the menu options. The restaurant boasts a vibrant and airy interior with a see-through design. I'd definitely return on my next trip to Boston.

Google
I don't remember the name of sandwich exactly, but it was really good. The sauce especially. I really feel like eating several!

Google
Service was fast and super friendly! The rosemary fries were perfection. Also really enjoyed my chickpea fritter sandwich. My friend liked the Nashville hot mushroom sandwich but her mouth was definitely feelin’ the heat 😂 The ginger lemonade was a tad too strong for my liking initially, but once the ice melted and diluted it a bit I found it refreshing.

Google
There wasn’t a long wait. The staff were very friendly and helpful, almost too friendly for the northeast in my opinion. I found the portions to be very generous with a good mix of textures and colors. My beet poke bowl was good but I sort of expected rice instead of barley or farro. This restaurant is vegetarian or vegan. The menu doesn’t have that much variety but it’s worth putting in the SG, dig, and life alive rotation.

Google
I found the food at Clover Food Lab to be fun but also salubrious. My wife and I tried two mains and a side of fries. You would be hard pressed to notice the meatball sandwich to lack real meat; it was enjoyable. My only grievance would be that it needed something else in the sandwich. Maybe arugula would do the trick. The real winner was the chickpea sandwich. You have created one delicious meal! Absolutely wonderful! I don’t have much to say about the fries. I enjoyed them but wouldn’t consider them to be anything spectacular. Finally, I would be remiss to exclude the service. The employees were simply wonderful. They felt genuine in their greeting and professional in their explanation of the menu. I would recommend this place.

Google
food was good. the white guy (clean shaven, short dark brown hair) was being rude to his black coworker. something about a hat? even though his hair was still covered and not a food safety risk. not sure what that was about. seemed like an overreaction for someone who forgot a hat. he also ignored his coworker when he walked in and waved. weirdo.

Yelp
I have had food at Clover a couple times now. It is a great place to eat! The food is very natural and everything is compostable. 1. The Chickpea Fritter sandwich is very tasty and a good price. It has very tasty pickled red cabbage in it that makes it very delicious, and the sandwich is filling and satisfying. 2. The Minty lemonade is light and refreshing! I got it because I was thristy and craving something a little sweet. It hit the spot without making me feel I was indulging into true sweet treat realm. 3. The Popover is a great treat! The carrot marmalade made it indulgent, but the popover itself was very light and tasty. I made the mistake of saving mine for later and it got hard, but then I heated it in the toaster and it was still good. I'm coming back for another one. 4. The Tostones are very tasty, soft, and chewy. I love plantains so I enjoyed these greatly. I think they are tasty without the chipotle aoli, which is a tad salty, but the chipotle gives it another element too, and I got it on the side. 5. THe double chocolate cookie is very good. I think it was better than some fancy bakery cookies. It was chewy and thick and chocolately without being too sweet. It had good flavor! It had some sprinkles, which I are usually something I dislike, but the rest of the cookie was so good it didn't matter. YUM!

Yelp
Their Chickpea Fritter is SO good. They don't skimp on the add ins (as seen in the pics) and they encase so much flavor in their falafel, pickled veggies and sauces. Falafel is especially crispy but can get a bit gritty at times. Had some great service! Everything came out in a timely manner and the counterperson was helpful & friendly. The only thing I regret getting is the lavender lemonade. You're basically drinking some lightly seasoned lavender water. Hardly any lemon flavor.

Yelp
Love this Clover food lab on Mass Ave and also love the Science Center location. Some of my favorite breakfast items are Tunisian breakfast bowl ($8.35) and fresh orange juice ($9.89). I would absolutely love to bump it to 5 stars if the price could be more affordable. But the food is SO good!! I love the breakfast items are made to order. Service is always friendly. Ambiance is nice, a mix of group tables or individual stations. Indoor air ventilation always great in the morning hours (haven't been here in the afternoon to test it). Highly recommend it if you want a hearty breakfast!

Yelp
Wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but I really liked it! Sandwiches and fries are good, and my gf tried the coffee and really liked it! I didn't love the seating arrangement (communal seating is always a challenge) and it's on the pricier side for what you get, but it's a prime location so I can't complain too much! Stay Cheerful

Yelp
Kitchen is so disorganized it takes forever. Hot food made first, so it gets cold before the rest arrives. Nearly inedible.

Yelp
I love the history of this Clover location and I always get my food very quickly. There's interesting tile work - it was apparently a lunch counter 100 years ago. I'm digging the new bowls menu - this rice and bean bowl has exactly what I want and is the perfect size (very filling!) Healthy and delicious!

Yelp
Yum! I stopped in while walking back to my hotel and wish I would have found this place sooner. The chickpea sandwich was so good: flavorful, filling, and perfectly prepared (crispy exterior instead of mushy). The combination of toasted pita, crispy chickpea patty, and julienned veggies was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Yelp
As a meat eater, I have to say that they have great vegetarian food! My favorite is the chickpea platter with rosemary fries. And I also like their Hibiscus tea. They're quick when taking down orders! However, it takes a while for them to prepare the food, but it's because there is so much that goes into the platter. The place is clean and simple. They're located near Harvard Square and the Smith Center, so it was a short walk if I feel like having Clover for lunch!

Yelp
We have eaten at or carried out from Clover at least 15 times since July 2023, and we were there again today after a long voluntary "time out". As we were ordering I recalled receiving an email from Clover yesterday, 10/16/24, offering me $5 off of a BBQ sandwich or bowl. I found the email on my phone, and I and the friendly Clover clerk who greeted us tried to find the "code" for the $5 off my sandwich and my wife's bowl, going page after page on the web site (per the link in the email) and then on the app, trying to log in. We finally gave up and I paid the additional $5+$5 for our food and left. Ten minutes later, at home, the sandwiches were cold, although they tasted OK. So here is my latest assessment, part of which explains why we haven't been to a Clover in months. - The employees are friendly and work quickly. - The atmosphere for eating in the restaurant is cold and uninviting. - I'm not a fan of the shared tables, and with all hard surfaces sound reflects. - The bread is thick and tastes OK, although heating it would be an improvement. - The food seems cold even if we eat in the restaurant. Warming sandwiches in the oven briefly after making them could help. - The french fries are soft and nearly soggy, even if we eat at the restaurant; if we take them home they're inedible. - The web site is disorganized and confusing. - If you're trying to entice me with a coupon, just email me a one-time-use code or coupon, or have me enter my email address at the restaurant to ensure it's used only once. - Once before I tried to use a Clover coupon (for fries), and like today the clerk and I tried and gave up. - I dislike and resent being handed a tablet (held up to me by the clerk) for my electronic signature for a credit card payment and the screen asking me how much I want to tip. I tip at least 20% in a restaurant when someone serves us (at least $3-$4 per person), but when I go to a counter to pick up my food, regardless of where I eat it, I should not be asked to tip. - We liked Clover when we found it last year, but little annoyances and disappointments are remembered and add up.

Yelp
Passed by this place while wandering about and doing tourist things at Harvard, it's really just across the street. There was a sign outside advertising their chickpea fritter, which caught our attention. It turns out that this is a great vegetarian joint! They just seemed a bit understaffed. There were 4 people making food in the kitchen, and only one person to make coffee/tea/juices and take customer orders. The service was still great, considering how busy they were with orders. A lot of customers seemed to take their food to go. Side note, but an "Order here" sign might be a good idea, as there were a few of us confused by the setup. The menu had a lot of healthy food and drink options, the carrot juice lemonade caught my eye, but I didn't try it this time. My friend ordered the sandwich that was advertised and I decided to try their BBQ seitan sandwich with an iced hibiscus tea. My sandwich was delicious and the bbq sauce had a nice sweet flavor. The hibiscus tea was also good and not too sweet, though my Caribbean side would've preferred it to be lol. They get bonus points for striving for sustainability, everything they hand you is compostable, like the sign says. Pro tip: The seats by the window are perfect for people watching! There are a lot of tour groups and interesting characters that pass by this busy street.

Yelp
I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl. It is delicious, but the falafel is too salty. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

Yelp
Good bean & rice bowl. Quick service and really nice interior. Friendly staff as well.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant. Four stars to the food, but 2.5 stars for the experience. The kitchen staff were pretty loud - shouting at each other in the open kitchen right next to dining tables. A dish was thrown into a sink in anger and res sauce splattered. The food items came one at a time. One bowl, followed a few minutes later by the drinks, a few minutes later came the sandwich, and finally the last bowl about five minutes after the first bowl. Pretty chaotic. The menu is simple with nice pictures but little in the way of text description. The host who met us was helpful with questions, though. The one thing most important to know is that the portions are larger than pictured on the menu. Everything that we got was at least half again as large as we expected. Not a bad thing but we ordered twice as many fries as we needed. The fries are shoestring, single-fried potatoes. That is to say they are essentially limpish home fries, not the kind of crisp double-fried fries at a regular fast food joint. The beet poke bowl, Mediterranean bowl, and the chickpea fritter pita sandwich were all good, though the sandwich was extremely "juicy", to the point dripping off the table and onto the floor before I realized it. Bottom line is that we'd be willing to go back, but might stand inside for a few minutes to make sure the staff are behaving before we order.

Yelp
I'll admit I am always a bit pessimistic about places like this and I have had a few underwhelming experiences. Clover food lab however blew my mind completely. Right from the concept, it's story and the way they source their food seasonally and change up their menu blew me completely. I had the fried mushroom Nashville sandwich and it was so good. My wife got the chickpea plate and that was also really good. The food tastes super fresh and you really don't feel like you're at a place that has no meat options. The staff were really friendly and there was plenty of seating inside as well.

Yelp
There wasn't one thing on the menu that wasn't delicious. The sweet potato maple pecan salad, rosemary fries, the white bean kale soup that tasted like fall, and the fritter platter that still had my mouth watering after every bite. You found yourself a returning customer.

Yelp
The popover sandwich was a great savory bite to start my day after a run around Harvard campus. The bread was light and fluffy. Inside was a juicy tomato and delicious fried onions. Every bite was so satisfying. No line or wait for a late Saturday morning. Staff was very nice and helpful and the food came out promptly.

Vivian C.

Yelp
A different food experience for me but nice. The flavor is there without the saltiness which I appreciate it. Our waitress was enthusiastically helpful and friendly. She was awesome!! I wish I remembered her name.

Yelp
A delightful introduction to plant based food in Cambridge. There's a variety of options available- cold and warm foods and nice teas and coffee. Pros- 1. the staff is very helpful and kind. When taking my order the person behind the desk came around to help me - showing a photo of the option I was considering. 2. They do not skimp on the hummus. What a generous serving- no need to order extra 3. Eco-friendly: everything you are served is compostable! So you don't have to think about which bin you need to throw things in. Next time- I wanted a warm dish and didn't realize I was getting a cold one so ASK prior to ordering if that matters to you.

Scott S.

Yelp
The Bridgewater sandwich was good but the fries were mediocre at best and could have been warmer. The service was spotty. The order taker was helpful but the rest of the staff I encountered was not.

Yelp
Wow. I'm honestly completely blown away by this place. I stopped by on a whim to get a nice refreshing drink. I ended up getting the Rhubarb soda along with the hummus snack. They were both amazing. The Rhubarb was a very flavor that I'd never had before, and the hummus and pita tasted very fresh and delicious. What blew me away the most was when I asked for more pita, they gave it to me free of charge! Such friendly people who go the extra mile to achieve your satisfaction. I will definitely be coming here in the future with family and friends for a healthy vegan bite to eat.

Yelp
Delicious spin on middle eastern cuisine. I got the falafel platter with salad and wild rice. Split it between 2 very hungry people and was still very filling: a healthy option for fast food!

Sunny Y.

Yelp
I love trying new foods, so of course I gravitated to this food lab. The food was delicious--I want to vote two thumbs up for the kimchi breakfast sandwich, which they are testing out now. Yum!

Its All W.

Yelp
Too expensive and the bread tastes like dust. I prefer Felipe's Mexican or the new Achilitos in Harvard Square or Life Alive in Central Square for taste and price. Not surprised that they're going out of business and filed for Ch 11.

Yelp
I don't love fake meats (seitan and tempeh) because the texture throws me off but I do love vegetables, so I was very curious when I heard that the new Nashville Hot Mushroom sandwich was coming out this week. Prices are a little high (I paid a little over $11 after tax) for a fully loaded sandwich that had ingredients stuffed into a normal sized pita bread. Weirdly I'm a huge fan of the impossible burger even though other fakes meats are not my cup of tea, but I don't know if I can justify a ~$13 sandwich (the impossible meatball one is the most expensive of all sandwiches). Thus, I was pleasantly surprised that this mushroom one just released because I am a fan of Nashville Hot Chicken. The sandwich was filling and had a really good flavor and texture profile. The mushrooms were slightly spicy and the pickles added nice acidity while the corn mayo had a sweet and creamy element. I also really enjoyed the batter on the mushrooms which make it super crispy and the mushrooms themselves are kind of stringy like how chicken is! It doesn't taste like chicken for sure but I liked that the texture was similar and I didn't miss the meat at all! I've had the chickpea fritter and fried oyster mushroom platters but they were just okay. I've also had the tomato soup which I do not recommend because it is super tiny and tastes just like canned soup. I'm hoping this special stays on the menu for a while because I will be a regular if it does.

Yelp
Ooh, I like this place. A lot. When I was in high school, Harvard Square was one of my frequent places to hang, to be. I've been out of the area for about 20 years before moving back, and as the years went by, I made it over there less and less. By the time I returned recently, the last time I was in the neighborhood was... oh man, I don't even remember. 10 years ago? Anyhoo. A lot is still the same, but things have changed--something about Boston/Cambridge in general for me. I saw the Yelp reviews for Clover Food Lab and thought: this sounds on point. It was great: I have the chickpea fritter and ginger soda, and both were very tasty. I also am looking for healthier spots to add to my rotation of grab-and-go foods, and I am happy to add Clover to the list. The service was a lil on the slower side because they seemed totally slammed/understaffed--it was all good because of the nice/chill vibes. If I am back in the area and need a quick bite, I will be back!

Yelp
Amazing service!!!! My friend and I came in delirious from hunger and ordered two chickpea fritters sandwiches (which were amazing by the way) and I made a comment about how bomb the rosemary fries are! The gentleman behind the counter asked if I wanted any but I said i maxed out my budget for the day. Our food didn't take long and on our way out they said "Don't forget your fries!" They gave them to us on the house! Thank you guys so much again!!!
google avatar

Brittney R.

Yelp
New age restaurant. They have figured it out!! When you walk in, they have a digital menu and you place your order with an employee through an Ipad. EVERYTHING that is handed to you is either recyclable or compostable. It's an amazing concept. They have an open kitchen, so you can see your food and drinks being prepared. I ordered the fritter sandwich and it tasted so good with all the ingedients. It was basically a falafel sandwich. I wish I had one of these closer to home. Great job!

Jean L.

Yelp
Order for pick up works well. Had the Baja mushroom, which was nice and crispy in its wrapper. Seasonings just right and the pita was soft and just the right texture, with the sauce. Hibiscus tea not too tart, not too sweet, also just right. It was a nice day so ate this outdoors. Plenty of outdoor seating to choose from in the area.
google avatar

Ryen B.

Yelp
Yummy place for a fast, healthy lunch. Don't be confused by the crowd standing around when you walk in. A friendly staff member with an ipad will find you and take your order. I went with the mezze plate- a bento box style tray filled with creamy hummus + 4 "snacks" from the rotating list. On this day- a spicy sweet potato salad, lentil salad, cauliflower and walnut salad, beet and broccoli salad. Perfect portions, plenty filling. Love that the take-out boxes and utensils are compost-friendly, but I haven't seen many compost bins around town. Bonus for the carbonated water on tap. Recommend.

Yelp
I was kind of sad to see Yenching go when Clover moved out of the Harvard campus center building into this space. But it's worth visiting this location of Clover just to see the amazing renovation job. They uncovered these original tiles from almost 100 years ago, and it's so funky and beautiful. Anyway, onto the food. Clover excels at making vegetarian/vegan food accessible and appealing to the mainstream. Standby favorites are the "chickpea fritter" (falafel), eggplant sandwich, and rosemary fries. The fresh pita and tahini sauce are delicious but also make the sandwiches pretty messy to eat. If you're dressed to impress, you might want to get a platter instead (more expensive but comes with two sides). Hardcore carnivores will enjoy the Impossible meatball sandwich. I love how environmentally conscious they are. Everything is compostable, and the waste is pretty minimal. To everyone who is confused about the water taps: they have options for cold water, room-temperature water, or carbonated water. I almost forgot about the fresh whoopie pies! I'm not sure if they still make them but they are so heavenly--if you see them, GET THEM!

Yelp
This place is super disorganized and the ordering system is terrible. Didn't help that the guy at the counter was useless too. I mean, I'm a tourist trying to get some food to eat. Could at least recommend your top items instead of giving me the stare down in complete silence. I ended up ordering the Oyster Sandwich, French Fries with Rosemary, and an iced tea. This is how it went down.... When the iced tea was ready, it was left on the counter. My order number or name was not called. Then the Oyster sandwich was ready. I was called up to the counter and the girl handed me my sandwich. It wasn't placed into a try or anything, just handed it over. I was wondering where I can place it since it was handed to me half exposed. I wanted to wait for my fries, which took another 5 minutes to get ready. So i left my sandwich sitting on a napkin while i waited for the fries. Fries weren't impressive either. No flavor and just some rosemary sprinkled on top. They seem to do well, but I"m guessing most of their guests are tourist. Some of us just don't know better....

Yelp
I was SO excited to try Clover b/c of all the hype it had been getting from foodies / the health-conscious foodie folk. However, it was kind of disappointing. Nothing particularly stood out to me. Maybe it was the plates I got (next time I think I'd get a sandwich or something different) but nothing particularly stood out to me.

Yelp
Dirty interior kitchen. Heavily deep fried and full of salt makes most choices terribly unhealthy and dangerously pernicious

F. J.

Yelp
enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Assembly Row Clover Lab. I had the Potato Pesto Sandwich-full of flavor, so filling, and fresh! Additionally, there's a small market in the back, and the space is open and bright with plenty of seating. Visit the Assembly Row Clover Lab! Enjoy!

Yelp
Terrible service, decent to delicious food. The service is so bad it is painful. The service ruins it for me.

Yelp
Everything about this place is confusing. I get it, you are located in Cambridge, where Harvard is, but that doesn't exclude you from listing the ingredients or details on the menu. Even selecting the water was confusing. They got 3 levers to choose from with various symbols. I don't want to do a ton of thinking when I am getting water. Stop trying to be so sophisticated. You're nothing special. In addition, they market themselves as a healthy option, but you're really not that healthy. The Blue Oyster Mushroom Sandwich has kale and a big mushroom in it. But guess what, the mushroom is fried. If you fry your vegetables, it's not healthy. They have all these funky sandwiches, but none of them seemed that appealing to me. They are overpriced as well. The Blue Oyster Mushroom Sandwich was kind of small for $11. I can confidently say that this was the worst meal of my trip in the Boston/Cambridge area.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
The Bridgewater was DELICIOUS. It contained breaded mushroom, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. These mushrooms reminded me of Asian crispy chicken, with soft velvet-like texture inside. All the flavors were delicious and on point. Definitely will be back to try other sandwiches (and platters). Came back to get the Bridgewater again, this time in a platter (I thought about trying a different flavor, but I just love the Bridgewater mushrooms way too much!). It was just as wonderful as I remembered from last time. The jalapeño cream cheese spread, pita bread, kale salad, and the sides of lentils and cauliflower were all delicious. I was particularly impressed with the cauliflower, which was very flavorful (it's not often I find cauliflower to be very flavorful).

Yelp
We loved this place. First visit here, found it just by luck because from the outside you cant really tell what it is. When we found out it was sandwiches and plates we thought it would be a great stop for lunch. When we arrived it was pretty crowded at the tables but there was no line to order. That was also because instead of waiting in line there are employees ready to assist you and take your order. We ordered 2 egg and eggplant sandwiches and the employee was able to take our payment right there with his phone. He also let us sample some iced hibiscus tea, which was pretty tasty and super refreshing on a hot day like today. The food was ready super quick and it was very good. The ingredients tasted delicious and you could tell it was all super fresh. I dont know what bread they use but it's also very good. Fluffy on the inside with a little crunch on the outside. At the end of our meal, one of the employees brought us a sample of their Mexican Candy iced tea flavor and I gotta say it tasted just like the candy! A little sweet and a little hint of spicy! I don't know if I could drink a whole cup of it, but the sample was a perfect amount. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area!

Yelp
The food was decent and the coffee was fresh. I would definitely recommend for a quick and healthy lunch.

Yelp
This was the perfect light lunch to enjoy on Harvard Square. We got fried chickpeas (aka falafel), lentil salad, hummus, tahini, and I think a carrot salad. I'm still trying to find a copycat recipe for the lentil salad since there's not a Clover Food Lab near me, lol.

Yelp
Great veggie foods! Love the flavours. An easy spot for lunch! Coffee n tea is yummy there also. Moderate prices. (; I will go back. D Patnod Lic Ac Cambridge

Yelp
I like their food and I like that's vegetarian. I just don't like their prices are sky high. I remember when I used to sell their sandwiches for $5 when they first opened. I can see since time has passed that may be $8 would be a decent price, but not 12! Not paying that much for one of their sandwiches ever again. I know we're in an inflationary period, but that's ridiculous. Also, even though they took soy BLT off the menu for the longest time, you could buy it off menu. Now you have to wait till it comes in to season - why? I wish they just stuck with their sandwiches. I hate that they have to follow the trend of having "bowls" like everyone else. And I don't know why they have to have an impossible burger. I became a vegetarian to avoid anything meaty, because I can't stand it. Years ago on his blog, the owner said he wanted to avoid "fake meat." Why, isn't having a GMO product that looks like meat smells like meat and bleeds like meat the ultimate "fake meat"? Why can't they just go back to having their eggplant meatballs? I liked them in the beginning because they were different and I couldn't eat. Almost anything on their menu. Now, they're dumbing themselves down.

Yelp
The coolest Clover location I've been too. They have a large menu screen which can show you how the dishes look like exactly- I wasn't sure what would be included in the eggplant and egg plater and the store associate was able to pull the picture up immediately on the screen. Very helpful!! The screen also shows the amount of time it took them to make the previous order (usually range between 2-8 mins). You can quickly get your food to go or sit down to eat/hung out with friends at one of the booths or community tables. The space is very inviting! Food here is good as usual, even for someone like me who doesn't actively look for vegetarian dishes. For $8-10, I feel like I can always get quality & reasonably healthy food that fills me up. My fav dishes on the menu are the eggplant & egg pita sandwich as well as the chickpea fritter platter. They also sell bags of George Howell coffee here (and a couple other specialty coffee brand) , which is an added bonus! Also like the fact that they often incorporate seasonal ingredients into their menu, which keeps thing interesting and incentivizes me to try our new dishes!

Yelp
Clover is a solid choice for a healthy, vegan meal! My friend and I stopped for a chill Saturday lunch. I ordered the chickpea fritter pita (or as us peasants call it, falafel) and she had the chickpea fritter platter with clam chowder. They came out pretty quickly and the staff were all friendly and extra helpful. The platter is only ~$1 more than the pita, but comes with a side of pita anyway and is almost double the food--definitely a better option so you can have leftovers! You really can't go wrong with the chickpea fritters--they're mini falafel with all the delicious sides you can expect. The sandwich version was plenty filling, although it did start to fall apart towards the end. All around a great option, especially for local students. (Plus, everything is compostable!! Big bonus!)

Yelp
Great place right at Harvard square. Food is not ordered at the counter rather there is staff going around who will take down your order for you which is then prepared and handed to you at the counter (name is called out- so make sure to listen!) :) As per the reviews I had the chickpea fritter and must say it lives up to the reviews! I was confused between the fritter and a platter (i.e. salads without the bread) but I'm happy with my final decision! The pita bread that is served is fresh, soft and oh so good! The sandwich is tasty and fulfilling. Would highly recommend! Ambience is cute and slightly geeky which I must say I also enjoyed :)

Yelp
I don't know what's going on at Clover, but I'm really sad and quite confused. I ordered a popover sandwich last week at this location. You could say I'm a sort of, popover connoisseur- or maybe more of a popover worshipper- the point is, I've been eating these magical sandwiches for years and I get them quite frequently even though they are pricey, they are worth it on a "treat yo-self day" Recently I've noticed there's a lot of turnover at Clover, maybe because they've been opening so many stores- but I worry that quality has been not up to where it once was because people are not being properly trained. (Which I know, is not the Clover way!) Back to the popover, the other day I ordered one and noticed there was no cheese in it. I politely asked the girl who made it to put cheese in it and she told me there was no cheese in the popover. Blasphemy! I could make this sandwich in my sleep, always with the half slice of cheddar. I politely asked when that had changed and she, quite rudely, told me there was never cheese in the popover sandwich. I begrudgingly got my sandwich with cheese in it and left sad that I can't be sure anyone knows how to make my favorite sandwich anymore.

Yelp
Loved my sandwich and loved the dining experience here. It's a modern farm to table fast casual restaurant in Harvard Square. I didn't even know it was a vegetarian restaurant until I looked at the rest of the menu after my meal. My smoked tempeh was so hearty and flavorful, I thought the popover sandwich I ordered was meat. My husband also enjoyed his breakfast sandwich on a delicious thick white pita. There is a friendly and helpful host to greet you when you walk towards the counter in the back where you'll view the menu from a flat screen and pay at the counter. Have a seat and they'll call you when your order is ready. There is also a case of prepared foods to go.

Yelp
Really great place, with good food. Upon entering, there is a line of guests waiting to place their orders. Don't be discouraged, as it moves quickly. The attendant will take your order on their ipad, and can also display any images from the menu item on their interactive digital wall menu. Clover supports free range, organic, food farms and local suppliers. These guys are also super informative about their company, where their food comes from, their seasonal offering inspirations...it's a healthy place to grab lunch and feel good vibes. The décor is lovely, clean and crisp. You can see the entire kitchen staff prepping your order. They also have local brew beer, and house sodas I hear which are TDF and more but I stuck with water....and they have 3 to choose from. They brought the lab into the kitchen with compounds denoting water: 64F H2O (room temperature),42F H20 (cold) or CO2 H2O (Bubbly). How cute. My kids weren't half as amused as I was....but then again they weren't sure what to expect when we decided to try an all vegetarian meal. Yep, clover is an all vegetarian fast food spot. You wouldn't know it at first glance, the menu is disguised with pure deliciousness. We ordered- chickpea fritter, bbq seitan, mezze platter, hearty vegetable stew, French fries, impossible meatball platter, and a baja mushroom platter. The flavor is not what we are used but oddly satisfying. The portion is a good size and were soo filling. They use eco-friendly compostable containers, and host frequent food panel development days which invites the community to partake in offerings, encourage the public to share their opinions and sample their new creations. The presentation of the food really popped with their choice of bright mother nature goodness. The cold vegetables were crunchy, and the coleslaw they used became a favorite. It truly has the freshness factor of backyard grown veggies. The sides paired nicely with the entrees, and the flavors all worked well together. The menu changes based on the days' crops but many are staples. So when you are in the area, and unsure of where to go....pop in here to check out their menu. You will find there is something for everyone, even the meat-eaters in you.
