From the family of Jim Compton-Schmidt We cannot say enough about the incredible care our loved one received in the Intensive Care Unit during one of the most difficult times of our lives. From the moment we walked through the doors, the team treated not only him, but our entire family, with compassion, respect, and kindness. The nurses and doctors showed extraordinary skill in handling a very complex diagnosis, but what stood out even more was their humanity. They explained every step clearly, answered our endless questions with patience, and made sure we never felt alone. The staff went above and beyond—whether it was offering a reassuring word, adjusting a pillow for comfort, or making sure we were updated at all hours. In a place that can often feel overwhelming, the ICU team created a sense of safety and trust. Their dedication, empathy, and professionalism carried us through some of the hardest days we’ve ever faced. We are forever grateful for the extraordinary care and compassion we received here. If we could give more than five stars, we would.

My dad was here a lot during his treatment of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. While he fought hard by the end of his life he had about 2 weeks in hospital. The entire time the nursing staff, doctors, and care team were extremely attentive, empathetic, and made sure we had everything he needed. When it was time for his end of life care they honoured his wishes and kept him as comfortable as possible until his passing. He felt safe here and I don't think he could have gotten better care anywhere else. Nurse Britney was fantastic. Unrelated Bonus: the facilities here are very new, the chemo centre has a lovely balcony and amenities for patients, and the campus is beautiful and peaceful. The cafeteria section also very good - there's oven baked pizza, a grill, fresh salad bar, daily pasta, and more that all taste restaurant quality - not like typical hospital food at all. Thank you to the entire team here for everything you guys do!

My baby is 9 months and I still think about how horrible my L&D experience was. Most of the nurses didn't even treat me like a human. My blood pressure was extremely low after epidural placement and I was so scared. I asked my nurse to please don't let me die and she goes into defense mode and asks if i want another nurse if i think she's going to let me die??!!! Literally worst treatment ever. Extremely minimal assistance post c section as well. I was left in my room with low blood pressure, a fresh c section and a new baby. No assistance in learning how to use the pump but side eyed for asking for a bottle. My son is my miracle baby and I'll probably never get to experience having another baby so it's sad to think this was my one experience.

Thank you to everyone here in the ED. They are all so kind, patient with me and others. Any requests I had they fulfilled them. The whole department get along well, they ask each other do they need help with anything. The waiting room people were really kind and patient as well. Keep doing yall thing!!! This is my favorite 😍 hospital. Blessings to everyone that work here keep it up!!! Thank you so much for the hard work and dedication!!!!!

My mom was brought into ER & needed a procedure done. The doctor inserted the tubing & then left her in a small room for over an hour. If I wasn't with her she would have been left alone with tubing. I understand there are emergencies but there should be some dignity for patients. I had to poke my head out about 4 times to tell someone she needed to use the bathroom. A nurse came in looking annoyed that she had to use the bathroom. The nurse kept saying that she couldn't take the tubing out that only the doc could do it. But after all that, it fell out on its own unto the floor. People should be given dignity when they come to the hospital not be met with annoyance. There was another time when my mom was admitted to the hospital & she stayed in a gurney for 4 days in a ER walkway. Unacceptable. Another patient next to my mom, after 3 days got up & left because she was immunocompromised & was left in the hallway gurney. This is a terrible way to care for patients. The hospital should get more caring nurses & resources for patients.

Had to bring my mom to the ER and the security guards were super rude and not friendly at all. When we got called to check her in the intake staff were not friendly at all . Then when she got called back to be seen the staff were very rude and had no compassion for her or any patience whatsoever. I was so shocked that this was the kind of staff that you had to take care of people who are in need. I am so happy I’m a Kaiser patient and don’t have to deal with people like this. I wish my mom‘s work would provide them with Kaizer insurance versus community medical insurance.

Clovis is so lucky to have a caring and compassionate PA like Dr Boyd. He treated my 6 year old very throughly and even followed up with us to see how she was feeling! I have never had anyone go above and beyond like that. He listened to all our concerns and ran every test he needed, I felt confident in their diagnosis and treatment. That man is one of the good ones! Wish all hospitals had Dr Boyd’s on staff.

Zero star- Don’t go to this place. They took me with wheelchair to this place in one corner of hospital and before I know I was locked in a room and was taken as a hostage. They tied my arms and my ankles to bed and beat me up and they injected me with a strong hypnotics. I’m a spiritual person and I don’t take hypnotics or anything that causes drowsiness, I realized that they had sexually molested me after they put me in deep sleep . It happened on 5/9/25, I was held until late night of 5/11/25. my whole body was covered with bruises for a long time afterwards . They Charged my insurance and sent me bills

Yelp
This Medical Center is just amazing; we are so grateful that they are here for us in our time of need! Frontline medical staff are intently focused on meeting our basic needs, willing to listen to our concerns however long it takes. In addition to that when you are being served so acutely, you don't notice the little things that are actually quite critical- the cleaning staff, laundry, room sanitation, etc). Those things have been met in a timely manner. Let me say their dining team is part of that frontline Medical -they're very concerned about our dietary needs are able to be met. Our? All their staff, but particularly their Clients in recovery. As the spouse of a patient in recovery, I want to particularly thank Eva & Celina who have shared such patient positivity! Refreshing! Thank you, CCMC

Yelp
I am writing to express my disappointment with the Clovis community emergency room. During my visit, I received subpar care, with staff failing to check on me despite my critical condition. I passed out multiple times without anyone noticing. I was admitted into the hospital but there's no beds no room so they put me in the waiting room to wait on a room that's not going to come up so they want you to stay in the waiting room all night with paper thin sheet, uncomfortable chairs. The waiting room suck and noise. I was expected to wait without proper care. I witnessed several people in distress, seeking help without receiving timely attention. I eventually requested discharge due to the inadequate treatment. The medical attention I received was limited to two Tylenol and IV fluids. The doctor's assurance of prompt care was not fulfilled. I caution against visiting this emergency room. DON'T DO IT!! I didn't even tell you guys there was no parking I had to pull up to the emergency room doors and walked in bent over feeling like any min. I'm going to pass out. They put me in a chair took me in right away then did my paperwork and then she told me I have to move my car. I told her, I came in here barely able to walk, you want me to go drive my car to park it.. I told her how do you expect me to move my car when I'm about to pass out and I can't really walk but you want me to Drive this automobile, I'll probably wreck or run into somebody... I had to do it.. they would not accommodate me, an officer or a staff member in a situation like this they should be able to move your car and park it if you give them permission so you don't have to risk it.... RIGHT!! She said, it's a liability.... I would think it would be more of a bigger liability to send a sick person back into an automobile just to please them... Total BS.. I told them, make it make sense. Policy stupid what happened to just human compassion, it's gone just like shimmery... it's gone.

Yelp
I don't know what happened here the last two years, because two years ago in July 2022 I was diagnosed with Leukemia here and did all of my treatments here and had the most amazing experience, with the hospital and staff every time, and I had a hard struggle and was alone most of the time. Now we come to today, I've been in severe pain since Sunday, I've been in touch with my Oncologist and are every day this week regarding this, and I kept getting worse to the point my Dr told me to go to the ER, and he was here rounding upstairs today as well, he was very very concerned and wanted some tests done, not to mention the extreme pain I'd been in and had been trying. To avoid coming to this place like the plague, because it just reminds me of going through my cancer. Every single person on day staff today was awful, uncaring, rude, dismissive, and did not listen to me at all when I repeatedly begged to call my Dr, or my palliative Dr, or ANYONE. At MY drs office literally right next door, in the same parking lot, and was ignored. Had a blood test and a CT, and after 6 hours in the waiting room with hardly any pain relief, they were gonna discharge me with absolutely no resolution. Thankfully my Dr found me just before, however, here I still sit, in the lobby, 14 hours later still waiting for a bed. I feel like it's on purpose, like retaliation for My dr coming and wanting to admit me despite what the ER "provider" wanted to do. I'm also still immunocompromised, stuck next to all these sick people for going on 15 hours, just bound to catch another sickness I'm sure. And why is the LAB personnel, literally chewing and popping gum in my face while drawing blood from me? That has to be unsanitary, especially in a medical setting. I'm just so son disappointed, I used to always speak so highly of this place. What a shame

Yelp
My sweet grandmother passed away here. The entire staff was so kind and loving to my family and my grandma. Special shoutout to these four ladies for taking care of my sweet Nannah as she passed. Melinda , RN ; Jasmine , Monitor/Unit ; Erika , RN ; Nicolette , Clinical Sup. Thank you for your kindness and Professionalism.

Yelp
Went there because my son had a high fever and the ER visit started off great. Got him in fast and ran some tests. My total time there was 6 hours. The last 2 hours they took my son back for an IV with fluids and antibiotics but no one ever came back out to have me go talk to the dr when she saw him and discharged him. My son couldn't hardly talk or understand and his discharge papers stated he had pneumonia and they gave him high dose of antibiotics. Mind you he was slurring speech and delusional. Two days later I took him to Urgent Care because he was getting worse and dr there stated he needed to be admitted so went back to a different ER and they admitted him! So frustrating! Go to St. Agnes Medical Center instead!

Yelp
Hector the PA on duty was amazing! He explained delays and apologized. He also heard me, that is not always the case

Yelp
I've had a couple of surgical procedures at this hospital. All the people there were super very nice if you have to go I would think this would be a good one to use.

Yelp
On July 31st 2025 at 7:30 pm my sister took my grandma in to the ER they said my sister couldn't go in with her which was understandable but they refused to see my grandma because she only spoke Spanish. The nurse they spoke to said that there was a new policy that said that they were only to accept English speakers. They didn't even make it through the hospital doors. My family has been going to this hospital for years and never have we ever heard of something so ridiculous!

Yelp
Workers are hard at work but some are just inappropriate sometimes. Workers should only be touching patients when they have to and not when they want to. Went here recently and saw it with my own eyes so it made me uncomfortable. Also, I don't know if it's at every hospital but whenever I go in the doctors/nurses seem so done. Not as welcoming as Fresno.

Yelp
This has nothing to do with the staff, it has to do with parking. It's terrible! Prior to Covid they had valet parking. Almost all of the parking spaces are really far from the entrance very few handicap considering how big the hospital is. I kept driving around and driving around trying to find a parking spot. I was almost in tears. I drove up to where the entrance was and somebody gave me a card for courtesy shuttle cart. Kim the gal doing the shuttle, very nice and helpful. You need to get valet parking back. It not only helps the handicap, but it shows that you care about peoples welfare.

Yelp
This hospital cannot be trusted. The security personnel are mostly rude to those who are in emergency situations. My son was admitted after having been erroneously discharged with a severe infection. The first Dr., by the name of Danielle did a quick ineffective procedure to rush my son out. He had to go back later that night to only be dismissed by Dr's and left in pain when he only needed a simple and common procedure. Later, the surgeon apologized about a miscommunication. Terrible!!!

Yelp
My mom was a late stage Alzheimer's patient who went in with a serious infection unrelated to Alzheimer's. There was a DNR in place. They gave her antibiotics and, at first, she improved. Shortly, she seemed to be getting worse again. At the same time, they called the family in for a palliative care consult. We, as a family, decided on hospice level care at Clovis Community... But only because they PROMISED us we could continue with the antibiotic treatment at the same time. We agreed to hospice level care only on that one condition: that they continue the antibiotics to treat her emergent infection. We were assured that it was possible for my mom to receive hospice level care EXCEPT for antibiotics at Clovis Community. We were assured they would do nothing to accelerate her death. Shortly thereafter they used her hospice status to take her off antibiotics. They refused to put her back on them when we protested. A day passed. They were supposed to send someone from legal to meet with my sister (my mom's power of attorney) to discuss the antibiotic problem. I was visiting my mom in the hospital that night when someone from the hospital came in and asked if I were her daughter. I said I was. They asked if I had any questions. I said no. (Why would I have any questions of some random hospital staff?!). Mind you, I wasn't the person she was supposed to meet with to discuss the antibiotic situation. And she didn't ask my name. Just if I were the daughter of my mother, and if I had any questions. Which I didn't, not knowing the situation. The hospital used this exchange as an excuse to deny my mom antibiotics when she needed them most. I don't know what would have happened if she had received the proper antibiotics at the proper time. As the result of this SNAFU, my mom's condition deteriorated past all hope. I can't say for sure what her chances would have been apart from this incident. All I can say is: they lied to us. and that lie may well have accelerated my mom's death.

Yelp
These people are not the best, when they get busy they just say anything to get you out of there. Took my son because valley was further out and he seen him for 1 second and the dismissed him. Said it was an ear infection when clearly it wasn't because he was throwing up on me. I did a follow up the next day at his drs and they were so mad, they gave my son wrong meds and didn't properly exam him. I hate that drs just say anything on a busy night just to get rid of patients especially with children.

Yelp
My Daughter in law gave birth to my newest Granddaughter on Monday June 23 and both her and the baby were discharged the next day. Due to heavy and excessive hemorrhaging she went back to the hospital via ambulance early Sunday June 29. She soaked through 3 layers of clothing and sheets but was not tended to immediately. She went to the restroom where she fainted upon trying to exit the restroom and a nurse was patting her hand and asking her what is her name. My Daughter in law didn't even know that she had fainted. She told the Ambulance workers and ER Doctors that she suffers from anemia but she wasn't immediately taken care of. In my book Clovis Community deserves an F because they failed to take care of her immediately because severe blood loss can permanently affect the body. She lost so much blood that they told her they might have to give her a blood transfusion to which she told them only if necessary. Thank God that he blessed her and she has recovered.

Yelp
Three days ago I had an out-patient procedure performed at the Clovis Community Medical Center. I want to express my appreciation to the entire hospital staff for their professionalism and caring attitude throughout the entire process, from my arrival at registration, pre-op, during the procedure, post-op and finally to my discharge. What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be just another routine procedure, which I attribute to the efficiency and cheerful performance of the admin, medical, and nursing staff as well as the doctors. I thank you very much.

Yelp
I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. My dad was admitted to the ER 6/9 and just left this afternoon, 6/11. He was there for over 48 hours. He never got a room and the staff had him sitting on a hospital bed in the hallway for over 2 days. He had initially gone in for severe stomach pain and cramping. After waiting hours to be seen, they said he probably has gallstones. Did some blood test, took some vitals, had him fast for another half day to get an MRI. Finally got the MRI and they said he would get surgery for removal. Waited a few more hours then said it'll happen the next morning. Didn't happen for whatever reason. Continued giving him some liquid type foods and let him sit in the hallway. My mom visited on the 3rd day. Mind you, she's an immigrant and English is her second language. Like most immigrant parents, she gets lost easily and can't always express herself well in English. She drives to emergency and luckily a kind worker driving a golf cart helps her. Five stars for her and apparently one of the front desk emergency women was very kind to my mom. My mom would like to thank her for personally walking her to go find my dad. Unfortunately, that's where the excellent customer care ends. Doctor comes some hours later and tells my dad just to go to his PCP should he encounter any more issues. Gallstones are now too small to remove, heart rate has gone down, basically nothing else they can do. Takes hours to print a single paper for him to get discharged. During these long hours, my mother asks several nurses when my dad will get the meal they promised 2 hours prior. Everyone either ignores her or tells her to go ask my dad's assigned nurse. As if she is supposed to know who that is. Best part is one of the nurses who waves my mom away comes back (when my mom starts asking a different nurse for follow-up) to yell at her and completely humiliate her in front of everyone around. She raises her voice at my mother and tells her to be patient. Mind you, English is my mom's second language. She's left to feel like complete scum. The nurse really had the audacity to walk back to my mom, after ignoring her the first time, to lecture her on how hospitals work. Seemed like she just wanted to give her coworkers a show. Also, should be noted she apparently was very pleasant, kind, and friendly to a Caucasian patient who was on a bed next to my dad. The Caucasian patient's female family member was standing next to him yelling loudly and cursing on her cell phone yet not a single staff said a word to her. Hmmm I wonder why... go figure. Smells a lot like racism to me! Nurses and doctors here have zero empathy, compassion, and urgency. "Go take some ibuprofen and go see your PCP".

Yelp
I'm literally lay in their hospital bed it's the holidays I get it no one wants to work people are in the hospital making them work. No one cares about anyone anymore. I came to this hospital for support and they don't give it to you. People got to much on their mind for this. Well sorry you had to work on your holiday or birth date. I just wish their supervisor would here to watch

Jake S.

Yelp
My dad was hospitalized and we chose Clovis community medical center. My family and I are extremely thankful for the care and treatment from the staff of this facility. They are patient, respectful, attentive, and much more. I can't say thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers. We are very grateful and we're definitely recommending them and hope this place inspires other facilities to have the environment and program that CCMC possess. Sincerely, Sisomphou family

Yelp
The doctor Kalbir Singh, MD Provider ID# 704145 Was not open to hearing discharge concerns our family had about my mom. She discharged my mom when her INR was NOT within therapeutic range for three days in a row. We have been to this hospital before and previous doctors would not discharge if the INR was not therapeutic. We should have appealed the discharge. They had the case manager RN, Renee Carothers BSN, RN call me to discuss discharge protocol and she was very condescending and talked over me. She did not want to hear what my concerns were. Both of these employees are poor representation of Clovis Community Hospital.

Maisoun H.

Yelp
The emergency room it's bad bad bad the way they help it's bad , the nurse over there. The nurse they're walking and drinking coffee talking and no one knows anything and the horrible thing they let you sleep in the hallway

Sam D.

Yelp
The ER staff are unorganized and unappreciative. They appear have zero empathy for the patients. We saw an individual collapse on the way to the restroom and the staff continued to finish their conversations with each other. Several people waiting had to request the staff to assist the collapsed man before the staff walked over one-by-one to help. Just disgusting. A little training could go a long way.

Yelp
I know this is considered a weird post, but I've been in the hospital a lot lately, and I must say Clovis community has the best and most nutritionist cafeteria food I have ever had without being too salty. The prices are cheap. The staff is friendly, and even the free food that you get is good and not just thrown together like you're some sick patient that has to eat anything.
google avatar

Yelp
As a retired RN I am appalled by the situation in the ER. My family member has been on a gurney in the hallway for 45 hours now. "Admitted" for observation after 8 hours but still no room. And there are probably 30-40 other patients in the halls as well Apparently this is not unusual as there are permanent plastic signs on the wall to designate the bed positions. I don't know what is behind this situation but it is horrific IMO.

Kathleen T.

Yelp
My sister had out-patient shoulder surgery this morning. All the employees were GREAT. Knowledgeable and efficient. Procedure and communication went smoothly. Nice to get a cart ride to and from my car. (My sister approved this rating!).

Sanjose M.

Yelp
Went into the ER looking to be helped. Lord I had to bust out in prayer as the hospital staff and security had the most terrible bedside manner to an elderly woman crying in agony on the ground of internal bleeding as they laughed and mocked this poor woman. They did not use fresh gloves or supplies please God DO NOT EVER GO HERE ! It's the lords discernment for me to warn others about this awful place it was literal hell on earth! If you care about your well being and loved ones go anywhere but here! Go downtown! Lord be with you all amen. Do not ever come here under any circumstances make the further out drive walk out and leave if you are there. This place needs to be shut down completely. Y'all have been warned continued covering of the lord.

Rosalina R.

Yelp
Worst hospital too go to for ER security is the worse they have attitude .. nurses don't care that your in there sick or hurt .. all you hear is nurses complaining about how there working many hours and how they talk about patients that go ask for help or there in pain they have no respect all they do in Er is shit chat with other nurses they take hours too call you for what your going people there show no care for patients I hope I never have too go agsin there ever It seems like nurses priority is too ignore patients when they need help

Jorden M.

Yelp
I would give this place a 0 stars if I could. The only person who seemed to care about my situation was the person taking my ultrasound (she was amazing). My husband and I came into the ER around 6 am because I was pregnant and having major bleeding. At first they saw me immediately for everything (exams, bloodwork, etc) but now we have been waiting to speak with the doctor for over 3 hours and my stomach cramping feels like someone is stabbing me. We thought to ask the staff when I would be seen and explained the pain was worse and they said if we wanted to request a discharge we could. This was my first pregnancy and what is crazy is I have the app "my chart", and my results have been ready for hours. I had to read that I had sadly lost the baby. I have been sobbing in the ER and it seems like they didn't care since it wasn't an "emergency". As I write this review, we are now going into hour four of waiting. Again, in major pain going through something pretty traumatic and they have you sit in a hallway with multiple other patients to discuss the results with the doctor. Who knows when he will be here though. While we were here I also witnessed a poor lady and her husbands experience. Her husband was literally coughing and throwing up blood but they had him wait in the ER. At some point the husband became unconscious after throwing up all over the ER's floor. The lady didn't seem to speak english but she kept pleading for help from the staff. They all sorta looked at her like she was overreacting ? They were not comforting her and seemed unbothered. I get that there are a lot of patients. But, it's insane that you don't even feel cared for WHILE IN THE CARE OF MEDICAL STAFF!!!! What has happened to the people who care?

Yelp
Labor and delivery and postpartum care were great. The front desk staff at the main entrance need to be better trained in customer service. If people don't like to deal with customers, please don't give them a customer service position. The front staff is a representation of the atmosphere of the hospital. If they are rude, attitudey, and unwelcoming, then people will get a bad taste in their mouth for the hospital. The front desk check-in staff needs to be warm and welcoming, patient, friendly, and kind. I am really disappointed in the unwelcoming attitudes of the front desk staff. Very dissapointed.

Yelp
if i could leave 0 stars i would. i talked to the patient care team and once again THEY DID NOTHING FOR ME. this hospital is a joke and ER NURSES DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. If something is wrong please for to community regional medical center... not a great area but they have so many UCSF students, trauma 1 unit, and EXPERIENCED doctors who will listen to you before racking up unnecessary hospital bills. Clovis community nurses are the worst nurses i've ever experienced. St Agnes CRMC Fresno Heart Hospital have GREAT nurses. I personally switched to Kaiser after having such a hard time with Community and of course Kaiser is the best! after paying THOUSANDS out of pocket for one night at Clovis Community i will recommend all my family and friends to NEVER go here!

Yelp
Worst hospital , I think this hospital use to be great my daughter got the worst treatment she went by ambulance was crying in pain gave her meds did a few test said nothing wrong with her left her in the lobby all day kept saying. Nothing is wrong with she got frustrated and did just walk out a day later the pain was unbearable had to go back she clearly was in pain finally did ultrasound still said nothing was wrong kept saying are you sure your not withdrawling from marijuana like wtf ... Dr got second opinion on ultrasound she never seen that Dr again and next thing she's talking to s surgeon she was having her gallbladder removed upstairs they were great but ER horrible treatment !!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Second floor surgery is busy but all care givers were friendly especially in recovery I have had a few surgeries and found this place better in the bedside manner department surgical center has become more about moving them through than actually taking time to listen to the patient

Lisa D.

Yelp
Went to ER for afib , as I walk thru security should have listened to my gut. 9 hours later having to observe this zoo I am just discussed at how that place is ran. A visit to ER should take no longer than 4hours on a busy day. Never again. It all needs improvement. Definitely no privacy.

Yelp
Patricia Prezioso 3 reviews 4 minutes ago New I was recently admitted to Clovis Community Medical Center for a shoulder replacement surgery on 02/18/2025. Dr. Julia Lee from SPOC was my surgeon and is amazing. She did a wonderful job. Dr. Lee had authorized an overnight stay for 1 due to past medical history and was taking precautions. Check in-Admissions, Pre-op, Surgery, Recovery all was very professional and very professional. I had no problems at all, in fact when I woke up in recovery I was starving and it was past meal service time in the hospital but my recovery nurse Anthony was sweet and nice enough to bring me a meal in recovery while we were waiting for my room. Everyone that day was wonderful. When I got to my room and settled close to midnight the nursing staff was just changing shifts and my nurses on the 5th Floor, Post op were Cassie and Gabe. My Nurse Assistant was Ericka. They were all very attentive and we worked out the little bugs because of the time of night. I had great service and was attended too whenever I needed something. I really appreciated them and Ericka went the extra mile every time she could. I would also like to thank the 3 of them. The next morning shift change nurses and I rang for someone, anyone for some help. It took at least an hour for someone to show up and they told me I had to wait for a nurse. Which was another 2 hours and I had gone over needing my pain medication about 3 hours. Then they would not give me the medication which was prescribed the previous night if I needed it for major pain. I hadn't because my nurses kept my medication regulated to where I didn't go long periods of time without so my pain was manageable. The nurses that were there on the 5th Floor Post op were horrible on the morning shift which I believe started at 7 or 8 am. One (the worst one) Luz Morales should not be a nurse first of all, she was an LVN. Was rude, not at all helpful and comes in my room and Blurts out I was being discharged and the order was already in the computer. Which of course I knew I was only staying one night but never gave me a time, a timeframe or anything. Then leaves my room still without giving me my pain meds from the previous night. She disappeared for another hour or two leaving me to get out of bed and back in without assistance right after surgery. When I finally got ahold of a nurse they were arguing with me about the medication that was prescribed for me. The order from the night before was still in my chart but they wouldn't look for it. Finally about 4 hours later I saw an RN and had an argument with her about my pain medication. Needless to say, I was still waiting to be discharged and finally got my pain meds. I was waiting to pack my stuff up to leave but still wasn't told when that would be. They brought me lunch around noon and I had just finished eating when someone from the discharge desk comes in with a wheelchair and said we're leaving. Now, I still had no idea how the discharge process worked and was waiting for the paperwork to tell me what my home instructions were after discharge. I told them they would have to come back to give me time to call my ride home and pack my overnight bag. After I had to argue with this person she finally leaves says she'll be back in an hour and to call my ride. I was just getting ready to do that when another one from the discharge desk comes to tell me we're leaving. I had the same exact argument with her only she wouldn't leave my room. She kept telling me she would pack my things and I didn't want anyone else doing that. Last time I was in the hospital they lost my clothes. In the meantime they had called my sister and told her she needed to be there, they were discarding me immediately. She told them it would be at least 20 minutes before she could get there from across town. They called her right back and said she needed to hurry, so she did. She sat in her car over an hour and the dr had not even signed my discharge paperwork. Luz told me I was not even authorized to stay overnight that's why the paperwork was messed up. I left with no paperwork

Yelp
The pizza and poke bowls are so good! It's clean in the dining area. Good price. The cashier is friendly and they are helpful.

Yelp
This place is the absolute worse place to have surgery! My husband was schedule for a 12 noon surgery and we had to be there by 10am. Arrived to register even those I did it on the phone the day before and they asked for payment 2800.00 without notice 1 day before surgery . I went online and did payment for surgery on my chart and let her know I did pay it online . Once we got to registration this morning again they asked for payment and I told her to Look online and it should say payment was made. Once my husband was put in his robe I stepped out and I was told if anything changes with his surgery they would notify me! but they didn't I thought they would have been done with his surgery by 145pm since it was a 11/2 hour surgery. Nope he was barely put back at 2pm with no notification his surgery was delayed. So for almost 3 hour he sat in his room by himself!! So pissed and upset I wasn't notified! Never again will I do surgery at this place! I would rather change doctors than come back here !!

Yelp
Im frustrated that I am forced to give this facility any stars. Absolute worst medical center in all of the country. Not only have they been leaving patients in the hallway for days, but are discharging patients that require surgery or worse. Someone has to do something about this hospital, their lack of care, concern or treatment is ending the life of patients I'm sure. And it's not a new thing, had my son here 31 years ago and it was the worst experience i've ever had. I personally know two patients in the last 10 days diagnosed incorrectly and discharged. Please if you love the person that need care, do not take them here for the love of God.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and came to visit a relative who has been hospitalized here at Clovis Community Medical Center. The facility looked very impressive from the outside. Loved the beautiful landscape, fountain. I thought wow, this is a great looking place. I was impressed until I saw all the people in the emergency room. I started thinking, why would they have him in the emergency room? It's been 5 days since he checked in. So I asked for my friend's room. They sent me through hallways filled with people laying in beds in the hallways. I started getting a panic attack, I'm thinking there must be an epidemic here of some type. Maybe a nuclear explosion and nobody told me. Finally got to my friend. I asked what gives? He said this is the way it always is. I can only conclude that this place is either run by people that don't care or by incompetent administrators.

Yelp
The care was great with the Doctor and recovery room but floor 4 has major issues! Short of nurses and not so good bedside manors! The patient should be taken care not take care of themselves!'

Yelp
I was recently there and no one with sense should go there. 4 days in their hallway on a Gerney! Must have been a thousand people going in the emergency room and they are going to take care of all that? I can say no it took to long to come to simple conclusion a primary care could have done. I was thankful I got out!! Dont go there!!!

Yelp
I went to Clovis Community's ER on Friday, April 26th. I was in extreme pain and had never been to an ER for my own health care. What an amazing group of staff they have there. Starting from front staff to the doctors and nurses. Although I did spend 15 hours there - it was well worth it. During these hours I received excellent care, a CT scan, an MRI, and blood work. Not to mention, nurses constantly checking on me, taking vitals, etc. The doctors on staff were amazing. I wish they were in private practice because if they were I would want to become their patient. Dr. Cawdery and Dr. Schneider were caring and most importantly very thorough. I was referred to the appropriate specialists and pretty much left with a diagnosis that had been missed prior to my going to CCMC. Thank you to all of the staff that work there. God bless you.

Yelp
Stephanie Conte is one of the rudest doctors we have ever dealt with. She belittled my wife and made her feel as if she did not feel any pain. We did not want to have to come to the emergency room but the urgent care sent us with the hopes of giving some type of fluids to help and instead we get treated with little to no care. She needs to change her attitude and care for the people that are in need.

Yelp
I came to the ER and the MDs did not listen or did not care. I was sent home with nausea meds, and no explanation. I got worse and visited another ER 2 days later and was immediately admitted to med surg because I needed SURGERY! This facility did no testing or imagining and completely disregarded my concerns. Please don't let your loved ones come to this hospital, they absolutely do not care.

Yelp
My score is for communication and wait time, not quality of care. My husband spent 14 hours in the ER lobby yesterday. They ran blood tests, gave him a CT scans and an ultrasound. They gave him medication for the pain and an IV because he was dehydrated due to vomiting. I called the ER and was told he was being admitted and given a surgical consult. He was not told that. We read the results of his tests on MyChart. They admitted him and gave him a surgical consult. He told the surgical consult dr that he was feeling better. The surgical consult dr told him they would get him a bed and he would check in with him again in the morning. Each time he was not getting a test or scan, he was sitting in the ER lobby. He was exhausted and there is no way to lie down. They told us he was waiting for a bed and it would take "a while". At the 14 hour mark, I pressed and asked on average how long " a while" is and they said 40 hours!! We left the ER against medical advice and will follow up with our physician. If they would have communicated that to us earlier we would have left much earlier. We need to be able to make informed decisions! It only costs us a copay if we need to return.

Yelp
I am writing this on behalf of my husband because our experience was absolutely unprofessional and overall terrible! I'm leaving 2 stars only for the nurses on 8/30/24 working the night shift, and for the nurse on 8/31/24 day shift. These nurses were amazing and were definitely on it when it came to the needs of my husband. Now on to why i'm only leaving 2 stars. When we arrived at the ER on 8/30, my husband had severe DKA due to him being a type 1 diabetic. This is a very serious condition for someone with type 1 diabetes. He was pretty soon called to the back where a PA informed us that blood work would have to come back before they believed he had DKA. We sat in the waiting for 2 hours before I had to go up to the nurse station in the lobby and complain that my husband is getting 10 times worse. The nurse in the lobby understood and got him on fluids in the back pretty quickly. We were then informed that he was to be admitted for DKA!!! Then this is were the real issues come to play. We were given room Y-15 in the emergency department. Upon walking in, the try table was covered in rice and water. There was blood on the floor as well as the bed side rails. Also, needle caps, gauze, and other types of trash in the room. I myself had to clean such blood off of his bed rails!!! As i stated before, the first two nurses were incredible. They had him feeling much better before saturday (8/31) might. then came saturday night (8/31) this nurse failed to give him insulin for over 9 hours!!! Mind you, he's a type 1 diabetic and can't go without insulin. He then called the nurse in and they checked his sugars which sure enough... they were beyond high!! His symptoms started returning which got us very worried. We then had a VERY rude nurse on sunday (9/1) whose name was Margaret!! She was very condescending from the moment she came in to introduce herself. At around 8am, she came in to check his sugars and they were again high. She informed us she would be right back with insulin and to no surprise, it wasn't until 10:30 when she came back to give him his necessary insulin dose. At 12, he felt his sugars getting high again. So he called margaret in to check his sugars and she said ok let me go get the items for it. she walked outside of the room and proceeded to speak to another lady at the desk and say "he's just like check my sugars, check my sugars" as she rolled her eyes. She went on to say "I don't have the f'ing time for this." We then asked to speak with the doctor immediately because my husbands condition was getting worse and worse. Margaret then told us we just need to wait and it could be hours. I asked for a charge nurse and she was able to get the doctor to us very quickly. I explained to her that it was the nurses fault he is getting worse. Dr.Phan responded with "i don't think our nurses are used to working with someone with his type of diabetes." Then why are these nurses caring for him!?!?!? She also said that she wasn't providing him with enough insulin. Which she should have known saturday night when his numbers were going up and he was feeling worse!! At this point, she said we'd have to restart all treatment and basically all he needed was more insulin. which caused up to be VERY upset. We decided that we could give him better treatment at home with a pump that gives him constant insulin! so we signed and AMA and left. Since being home for a day and a half, he has already started feeling better! We will never be back here. The nurses and doctors who handled his care have no idea what they're doing, and need to learn it asap; before others face the same incorrect treatment that my husband received!!

Yelp
Here for my mother getting a procedure. It is very safe and clean with safety and cleanliness practiced. Walked in with my mother to confirm she is getting the procedure done. Masks are required. In order to enter your temp is taken and you're asked if you have had any COVID-19 symptoms or if you have went on a trip. They have a great food section. Only open for employees right now. It is called Evert's Bistro. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl and my mother ordered a customized bowl to have after the procedure. We did this right before she went in for her procedure. She went in to get her procedure and I left since it would be a while and I had the lunch bought. The burrito bowl was really fresh and delicious! Shredded chicken. Yummy! A while later I received a call that my mothers procedure was completed and she could be picked up. I went to pick her, texted when I arrived and a nurse brought her out. Left from there. Her procedure went well. We are back and she finally got to eat her bowl. She said it was really good! Great hospital along with service, food, safety and cleanliness! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Only giving 1 star cause they don't allow 0 or negative. Spent close to 5 hours for my wife to get stitches in her chin. The only thing they did quick here was run my credit card for copay which I didn't see them do to any other patient. Lots of folks in here using the ER for a primary care physician for a stomach ache. I'd really like to see this place care for their patients that are insured with actual medical emergencies that need to be addressed. I wouldn't recommend this place to my dog.

Yelp
Some people will complain all they want, review bomb with every single free moment they have, and post pictures of themselves Boo-Hooin' all they want, but I have experienced every hospital in and around Fresno County, both as a patient and as the child of a frequently ill parent... and Clovis Community is tits. Tell me you've never sat in the Hallway ER at CRMC without saying it, I mean c'mon. Half of the people complaining, I'm willing to bet, waited too long to take care of something and ended up having to go to the ER, or didn't really need to be in the ER. Gladys, you stubbed your toe. Put some ice on it and walk it off, I mean Jesus people...

Yelp
aside from the nurses and doctor, the security is horrible and have a terrible attitude, they act all sarcastic and rude and need to watch how they talk
