The Broken Shaker Is Not Closing — It’s Just Changing Ownership | Eater Miami

"Located adjacent to the Broken Shaker, 27 Restaurant was included in the sale to Generator and, like the bar, will continue to operate as usual; the sellers stressed continuity and expressed confidence that the new owners will maintain the restaurant’s role alongside the Broken Shaker." - Olee Fowler

Google
Food is great, cocktails yummy, service super friendly and timely. I got prime rib, loaded baked and it was very good. No wait, sat at bar

Melissa A.

Google
Great atmosphere, love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice. Also, happy hour until 9pm is incredible. Several TVs around to watch games, amazing views of the beautiful golf course. Great vibes all around!

Google
First time at Club 27 and it was a great experience. The garage door was open in the bar area, with plenty of patio seating. You could sit at the inside part of the bar or outside, which is fun. Without the outdoor seating, it would have been very crowded. We were told about a 30 minute wait on a Friday evening but we’re able to get a spot at the bar earlier. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the Thai salmon. It had a sweet and tiny bit of spice glaze that was delicious. The prime rib dip was also great. We will definitely be back again post golf to try more of the cocktails and food options. Update: stopped here for the second time after golfing and enjoyed the Sunday happy hour. Pretzel bites were great with mustard and a cheese sauce for dipping. Got the Cobb salad, even though it wasn’t on special. It was good but I did have to cut the lettuce smaller. However, the Korean fried chicken sandwich was phenomenal! Definitely recommend.

Google
This place is a winner. We ate on the patio, which has a great view of the golf course (my dad enjoyed watching the golfers himself). I was in the mood for a simple appetizer and the garlic lemon pepper wings blew me away and the service was great as well (sorry about the wing sauce in the bleu cheese dressing in my photo). Nice drink selection too. I’d definitely go back.

Google
Service was good, restaurant itself was clean and had a nice open layout. Service was excellent, and very good drinks. We went for Restaurant Week so some of the food options might be different, but overall we were happy with the flavor of the food. We did feel the portions were a bit small for the price, but again it was Restaurant Week so I don’t feel right putting down a star for that. The lobster bisque was definitely our favorite!

Google
Great food & view. Sidda made two unprofessional remarks that made both my husband and I uncomfortable. I can’t say for sure that it was maliciously intended, but there’s a time & place. Even if you know the staff well, there’s a line and it should be respected.

Paulo O.

Google
Very nice espresso martini to open an appetite, turkey club was just phenomenal, friendly staff that answered all my question, and the music makes it the perfect ambience for a nice meal.

Luke T.

Google
Food is ok, middle of the road normal fare, nothing to complain about. Service is pretty slow when it’s busy. Biggest problem is that it has a really nice patio and good atmosphere … you’re asking where the problem is … well if it’s a nice day and between 4-6pm think twice. So busy. They expanded the parking a lot in 2024 and now they can barely handle the amount of people who rock up. I think I’m right kn saying you can’t book ahead. When it’s busy the service is sllooowwwwwwww …

Yelp
Great Service and great food! This curry soup far exceeded my expectations .Always fun to people watch here with all the golfers.

Yelp
Ambiance and happy hour is fantastic here! I got the "Pink Hummingbird" drink to start & it was delicious-- $3 off signature cocktails during HH. Food was pretty good-- goat cheese is a must order. Our server was also very nice. Great experience & will be back for more happy hours!!

Yelp
Came her for Kansas City Restaurant week. Club 27 is located at a golf course. Great food on their KCRW menu. I had the Soup and Salad, and Creme Brulee option. Friend had the Lasagna. Drink menu was pretty nice and I had a seasonal cocktail.

Yelp
Stopped here during KC Restaurant Week and had such a great experience. We did not have a reservation and popped in to see if there were any openings. The manager was incredibly kind and grabbed us an open table. The food was absolutely delicious. I chose the Club Salad and Honey-Glazed Salmon, and it was seriously the best salmon dish I've ever had. The restaurant overlooks a golf course and I can't wait to come back during spring to sit outside on the deck.

Yelp
We came here for KC Restaurant Week. 3.5 stars. Lettuce wrap and clam chowder were good. Dessert was good. Service and pacing were great. However--and this was my mistake, for giving a chance and ordering ramen at a non-ramen place-- the tonkotsu ramen was sad. The broth/tare was weak. The eggs and meat weren't even proper ramen-style eggs and meat. This was so bland I couldn't finish it. The chicken skewers were good. A surprising standout were the flavors of their sauces, like the accompanying chimichurri for the chicken and the ramen chili sauce.

Yelp
Came during KC restaraunt weeek and it was AMAZING!!! We didn't have reservations but they let us in which was very kind. The food and service was amazing! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Really enjoy Club 27. The views are amazing and the food is delicious. Service is usually very good also.

Yelp
We stopped in during restaurant week and luckily I had my gps on, otherwise I would have missed it. I didn't see a sign for the restaurant until we went inside. We were sat promptly and ordered a spicy bloody mary and the caramel apple mule. Both were absolutely delicious. I chose the brisket chili with jalapeno corn bread, hot honey chicken sandwich, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. I was really surprised how good everything was and how I've heard literally nothing of this place. The service was amazing. We even had (I believe) the manager come by and tell us about their regular menu. We came in not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised on the entire experience. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
We had a fantastic time on a warm early Spring evening. Our server, Sam, was attentive, cheerful and helpful. It was a surprisingly busy and lively night and the noise level was high (we take part in the blame here). The happy hour is great with nice beverage and food options, although I ordered off the regular menu. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
One of the best salmon dishes I have ever had, perfectly prepared! The dessert and coffee were also very good. It was very moist & delicious. We attended during restaurant week and were so happy we chose this amazing place! What a view, even though it was winter the snowy view of the golf course was beautiful and I can imagine it is even more beautiful in the spring or summer! This place has such a lovely ambiance for a living or dinner party! The service was excellent and we will definitely be coming back. Lot of parking out front. Highly recommend checking out this lovely place with excellent service!

Yelp
For being a public golf course restaurant, Club 27 offers unbelievably good food, very reasonable prices and good service. We call it our country club.
google avatar

Allie C.

Yelp
OMGGGGG patio season! This is the spot for a lovely day sitting in the shade, looking out onto the course, breeze in your hair, cocktail in hand. There really is nothing better, in my opinion. Happy Hour specials are great, and everything is super yummy. I will be dreaming about the refreshing shrimp lettuce wraps for a looooong time. The sliders were also immaculate, rich and savory with dipping sauce. Pretty homogenous crowd as to be expected from a golf course in OP, lmao! I am decked out in tattoos and got more than a few slack jawed stares from the older clientele, but other than that it's quite a relaxing spot to enjoy the beautiful weather and I will absolutely be back for those delicious shrimp wraps!
google avatar

Kay H.

Yelp
Went during restaurant week special Menu. The drinks are strong.. I got two. Food is good. Steak and mashed potatoes were on point. Love the shrimp walnut wrap even though I am not walnut fan. I wish lettuce is more crispy. Chocolate cake has a lot of chocolate so if u like chocolate you will love it. Service is on point. People are really nice and they work hard to fulfill customer needs. I wish the pace have sound barrier. In beginning the pace is loud after a few drinks then we were talking loud too. Fire place is nice. They put more tables to accommodate restaurants week, otherwise it will be nice place to sit and enjoy the meal

Yelp
A hidden gem! Found this place after a round of golf, but I've been coming back even if I'm not playing that day. The re-design of this clubhouse is nothing short of miraculous. They have a huge covered outdoor patio with heaters, fans, TVs, course views, etc. All day happy hour during the week days and even for a few hours on Saturday afternoon. The drink specials are always more than reasonably priced. The food is definitely the most underrated part. Last time I had the jalapeño popper burger, and my wife had the shrimp lettuce wraps. They were both to die for - 10/10!

Katrina S.

Yelp
We came here for Restaurant Week (2025). The food was DELICIOUS. They also have very good cocktails. We plan to come back and sample their happy hour menu when the patio is open.

Yelp
My family came here to close out restaurant week. This restaurant put the BEST in save the BEST for last! WOW! WOW! WOW! Chef's kisses all around the room! This was our last brunch with our daughter in town as she'd been teaching in South Korea for the past year and had finally come to KC to visit. To say Club 27 knocked it out the park would be an understatement. The cleanliness, friendliness, and spaciousness was glorious! The menu options were limited as again, it was restaurant week...but they were THEEEE best options that we may not have ordered had they NOT been limited. Yelp wouldn't allow me to add the two pics of the desserts. Baklava Cheesecake and the Chocolate Decadence. We devoured everything and couldn't stop talking about how delicious it all was. The drinks, the appetizers, entreés and desserts. Muah! Muah! Muah! Muah! So good, my husband attempted to recreate my seared salmon meal a few days later. It was good...but it wasn't Club 27 good. My daughter went home to Incheon two days later with one of the fondest memories of her visit here to the states and our time together at this restaurant left an unforgettable taste in all of our mouths. What a time!

Yelp
KC Restaurant Week 2022! We love KCRW and this is our second year coming to Club 27. Reservations recommended! (We had to sit at the bar to be able to eat.) Their menu is always amazing (which I forgot to get a picture of!). We got the Paella Fritters, the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, prime rib sandwich on focaccia bread with house made chips and the tiramisu. Did NOT disappoint! And the service at the bar was excellent!!
google avatar

Sunyoung C.

Yelp
More casual than I had expected..was a bit over dressed with my girlfriends but the food did not disappoint. To our surprise we went during their happy hour and had a great selection of food and drinks for a discount. The menu isn't very big but everything we ordered was great. Definitely recommend the goat cheese appetizer! The sweet potato fries have a lot of salt so I would suggest asking for less salt. Great place for a casual meal with friends that serves great food, great service, and plenty of seating.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week to try something new and somewhere I probably wouldn't venture out to. The atmosphere was casual and it is located on a golf course. It had more of a sports bar vibe than I expected and I would go back to try something more basic. The sticky ribs app was pretty good, same with the guajillo Chili. The ciopinno pasta entree was decent and our tables reviews were all fairly similar. Great for a drink and a sports bar vibe but skip if you're looking for a more intimate dining experience.

Yelp
If you like a little golf and scenery with your afternoon refreshments or evening meal, then Club 27 might just be for you. Pro tip #1: reservations on Friday & Saturday are recommended, but if you can't make one, call ahead and ask about availability 10-15 minutes before arrival. You're sure to find a seat. A smaller indoor dining space sprawls to a fairly large patio overlooking the green of one of the finishing holes. If the weather is right and you have the opportunity, then I strongly encourage sitting amongst that outside dining space. Facing east, you might miss the sunset, but you also don't get that hot western sun, so that's a total win. A robust wine and cocktail menu, featuring a wine of the week with which to do pairings, is delivered at each table. If you're a bourbon drinker, then I wholeheartedly suggest an old fashioned, made strong but not too sweet and just the way I like it. The menu is not deep, but why try to do too much? Club 27 is good at what it does, and that includes delicious salad choices, handhelds, and a selection of baked mac & cheese's with different adornments. Pro tip #2: a half-size salad with a protein added is *gracious plenty* and can easily serve as a dinner item. We added a round of whipped goat cheese as a starter, drizzled with honey and served with lavosh. Really solid appetizer! My mac & cheese was the Italian choice, baked with sweet red peppers & sliced Italian sausage, and it barely lasted long enough for the obligatory photo op. Club 27 is easy to find, just off Quivira, has plenty of parking (because suburbs), and prices its menu just right. The scenery is outstanding, service is quick and pleasant, and the dining experience is excellent. Leave your clubs & spikes outside and grab a table!

Yelp
This is not your average golf course restaurant. Club 27 is an awesome restaurant and bar that happens to sit at the front of a beautiful maintained course. I usually see more non golfing patrons in the restaurant than golfers. The service in the bar and restaurant is phenomenal. I have repeatedly had a young man named Matthew deliver our food from the kitchen, and he's delightful and friendly each and every time. Tonight our waitress was Angie. She was fun, professional, attentive, knowledgable, and kind. We had an especially fun experience with her as our server this evening. The food that comes out of the kitchen is incredibly impressive, especially tonight with a crab cake special. The kitchen staff is consistent with the food quality and timing on each order. Club 27 is an impressive restaurant in the heart of Johnson County. We love this place and we will continue to return.

Yelp
It's unusual to find a restaurant in a golf course clubhouse that is this good. Good for lunch and happy hour.

John V.

Yelp
Great place Great food Great service If you're looking for an outstanding lunch/dinner, dining al fresco at Club 27 is the way to go.
google avatar

Angie W.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch! Service was friendly and the food was good! Started with the lumpia for restaurant week which were packed full of meat and was given a generous side of sweet chili sauce. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was good although it wasn't giving me Korean fried chicken vibes more like a filet with sushi sauce. The crises were crispy! The green tea Creme brûlée was good but not very much of a green tea presence. I'd come here again if i was around the area.
google avatar

Kara W.

Yelp
We always enjoy coming here for a quick happy hour! Stopped in for some nachos and pretzels this evening. Service is always great and fast!
google avatar

Phon W.

Yelp
I was invited here for lunch by a friend, I didn't even know this place was here, it's at a golf course off 127th and Quivera! It's a great lunch spot for sure! The food is sooo good! I had the French Onion Soup and A salad with salmon on it and the Salmon was cooked perfectly, the salad was awesome, and so was the soup. I also got to try the Mac and cheese and the Chicken Pot Pie!!! OMG You have to try the Chicken Pot Pie, that was great!

Mike D.

Yelp
Good food and service. Happy Hour on weekends and extended Happy Hour during the week. When the weather is nice the open up the outside patio that overlooks the golf course.
google avatar

Amy V.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and great place for a drink and appetizer after a round of golf. Great place to meet friends

Jonathan W.

Yelp
Great food and service, location and view is amazing!!! One of the best patios in Johnson County!!

Yelp
I loved this spot! Was very clean and the staff was very kind The food and drinks were delicious! Really enjoyed the experience
google avatar

Chloe G.

Yelp
really nice place. spacious and nice finishes. very clean and new. good attentive service and flavorful food. still very expensive even though it was happy hour and small portion sizes for the happy hour menu items. would be curious what an entree sizing would be. the cocktail was tasty as well. would be fun to come back again!
google avatar

Nick V.

Yelp
Enjoyed my NYE dinner here. Good service. Clean facilities. Entrees were great. One of the best Buffalo chicken sandwiches I have had. Real slice of blue cheese on it. The prime rib cut was huge. Very tasty but could be a bit more tender. Suggest more wine selections. I will return soon.
google avatar

Shalyce A.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere. I went in January but I imagine the view is wonderful when they are able to open up the patio area in warmer months. The server was very nice and promptly met out requests. The food was hit or miss however. We visited during the Kansas City Annual Restaurant Week and chose from the special menu. Had a great wedge salad, the chicken roulade was pretty good but the accompanying mashed potatoes were dry, cold and tasteless. I chose the bread pudding for dessert, unfortunately, it was probably the workday bread pudding I'd ever had. My friend had the short rib sliders which she said were very good.

Jake J.

Yelp
17 dollar sandwich on a hamburger bun is a bit extreme. I understand prices have gone up but this was a great 8 dollar sandwich that they want 17 dollars for.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Went here for Restaurant week, I thought the food was good. I wish there was more than just a taste. I felt I didn't have enough of anything to make a determination of the food. Will go back and try the food later to have a better decision.

Craig C.

Yelp
Smash burger was so over cooked, basically inedible. Only $7 at happy hour but still terrible. Great ambiance, just don't get the burger

Gina K.

Yelp
You must try the salmon piccata! It's one of the best items on their menu. Also, fantastic views if you're on the patio.
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Surprise eatery inside golf clubhouse. Friendly service staff and decent food. Patio overlooking golf course. It's no longer a secret has become quite crowded during prime time.

Brooke J.

Yelp
Best food on a public course. Such a fun place to get dinner on a patio. Gyro is one of my favorites.
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
Great happy hour! They have a nice patio to enjoy after golfing. Some favorites are the fish tacos and the chicken salad.
google avatar

Denise Y.

Yelp
This is our first time back since winter & COVID impacts. They are COVID aware in their operations as safety of both staff and customers. Menu and quality of food/drinks have improved even though they weren't bad in the past. Servings are generous. We enjoyed being on the patio and even survived the heat. They are doing very good business.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Date night and did nit disappoint! Thursday night HH is all day! Swaeeet! Great selection of cocktails & tasty too. Pomegranate martini was strong and a good size. However the citrus mule needed to be stirred. My KC BBQ Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy & the pork was tender with a sweet sauce, and then topped with some salty kettle style chips. My date had the grilled chicken sandwich - I had a couple of bites. The chicken was moist & a good size piece but it needs some form of sauce to make it more than your average sandwich. Waffle fries is the side & they were hot & seasoned. I would like to see the additional choices for sides - preferably tots. We sat on the deck & the breeze on this cool June evening was prefect. Definitely tailors to the upscale golfing community with its decor. Our server did an excellent job being friendly and attentive.

Yelp
My kid specifically asked to eat here for his family birthday celebration. Though I've always thought the food is tasteless, of course that's where we went. We called ahead for a reservation (no reservations on weekdays), got there early to make sure seating could be accommodated, and filled out their large party form online. All of that for a complete disappointment. Though the restaurant was half empty, we had 4 generations of family members including individuals in their 90s and a party of 13 (so needed one extra table), they flatly refused to allow us to move a table so we could sit together. I was left with two bad choices. Leave the restaurant my kid requested or stay there where he couldn't sit with his family and family members got sent off to the "other" table. Pretty sad set of choices when you're trying to celebrate a kid's birthday. They did offer that rather than moving the table we could just pack 13 chairs around a table meant for 8-10. How that makes any sense is beyond me? Better that we probably break glassware or plates, knock stuff over and have a miserable dinner because we're sitting like sardines? Rather than moving a table? Can you imagine me telling my 95 year old grandmother that she has to squish in because they won't move a table? In an effort at fairness on my part, I'll say this about our dining experience As expected, the food was bland and the service so so. Everyone was friendly. They knocked $20 or so off our bill as if that makes any real difference to me or makes up for the stupidity of the situation. I don't ever choose this place myself but have eaten here several times when others have suggested it. I will now insist we go somewhere else. Bland food I can deal with, the situation I was placed in because of a ridiculous policy. Nope. Not going back.

Patti B.

Yelp
Great food, limited menu, but always good service. Have enjoyed several items on the menu, from appetizers, to salads to sandwiches. We haven't been there for evening meals, but truly enjoy their lunch menu and happy hours (which are extensive!).
google avatar

Liz E.

Yelp
We tried this place recently and it was pretty good, they have a happy hour menu but are only open till 6 on Sunday. Food was tasty and the service was alright. I wasn't overly impressed by anything but I would like to try it again during warmer weather when they can have the doors open to the deck and enjoy the outdoor vibe.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
Awesome service and atmosphere! Manager, Taylor, is one of the friendliest people I've ever met! Food is amazing and clean, modern environment.
google avatar

Geiman B.

Yelp
Great new place. Happy hour specials are killer! Food is top notch with many options and daily specials. Incredible service from Leslie and others. Friendly and caring! Love to go and sit on the patio overlooking the golf course. Absolutely stunning!

Yelp
I did not know this place even existed, other than perhaps as a typical golf course 19th hole type place where you grab a beer after your round and then go home. This is a full fledged bar/restaurant that frankly puts many places that are only restaurants/bars to shame. It has a great view of the course from the balcony and has a full service menu. I am a bit reluctant to do this review as I don't want it to be too crowded to visit in the future! It has an excellent happy hour as far as drinks are concerned, but not very many food selections at a lower price. The food that we did order, to go along with our drinks was very good and worth the price. Definitely a hidden gem in southwest OP
