If you like a little golf and scenery with your afternoon refreshments or evening meal, then Club 27 might just be for you. Pro tip #1: reservations on Friday & Saturday are recommended, but if you can't make one, call ahead and ask about availability 10-15 minutes before arrival. You're sure to find a seat.
A smaller indoor dining space sprawls to a fairly large patio overlooking the green of one of the finishing holes. If the weather is right and you have the opportunity, then I strongly encourage sitting amongst that outside dining space. Facing east, you might miss the sunset, but you also don't get that hot western sun, so that's a total win. A robust wine and cocktail menu, featuring a wine of the week with which to do pairings, is delivered at each table. If you're a bourbon drinker, then I wholeheartedly suggest an old fashioned, made strong but not too sweet and just the way I like it.
The menu is not deep, but why try to do too much? Club 27 is good at what it does, and that includes delicious salad choices, handhelds, and a selection of baked mac & cheese's with different adornments. Pro tip #2: a half-size salad with a protein added is *gracious plenty* and can easily serve as a dinner item. We added a round of whipped goat cheese as a starter, drizzled with honey and served with lavosh. Really solid appetizer! My mac & cheese was the Italian choice, baked with sweet red peppers & sliced Italian sausage, and it barely lasted long enough for the obligatory photo op.
Club 27 is easy to find, just off Quivira, has plenty of parking (because suburbs), and prices its menu just right. The scenery is outstanding, service is quick and pleasant, and the dining experience is excellent. Leave your clubs & spikes outside and grab a table!
