8 Amazing Waterfront Restaurants Around the Globe

"Located at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat — a Four Seasons hotel — the Club Dauphin offers breathtaking views of the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean beyond the infinity pool. Flavors of southern France shine in summer salads, meats and grilled fish dishes. For guests staying at the hotel, a detail of importance: restaurant access is granted via private funicular." - The MICHELIN Guide

Beautiful Setting, Average Experience Club Dauphin has one of the most impressive settings on the French Riviera. The pool is enormous and beautifully positioned right above the sea, with views that really are second to none. The overall atmosphere is calm, stylish, and exactly what you’d expect from a Four Seasons property. That said, the experience didn’t fully live up to its potential. Service was fine, but nothing exceptional—efficient enough, though not particularly warm or memorable. At this level, you expect something more polished and attentive. The biggest letdown was the food. While the menu covers Mediterranean staples, the execution lacked the creativity and refinement you’d hope for in such a spectacular setting. Dishes felt more adequate than inspiring, and for the price point, it’s an area that could use improvement. Certain selections of fish were also clearly not fresh and cooked from frozen. Verdict: The setting alone makes it worth a visit, but when it comes to food and service, there’s room to grow. With a little more focus on elevating the dining experience, Club Dauphin could truly match the magic of its location.

The club is absolutely stunning and the servers are so friendly. Anything you want they can do for you it seems. I spent all day here lounging and swimming. I was lucky to be given a sun chair right up front with a stunning view of the water. The ONLY reason why it is not five stars is because there were three times I had to go find someone to take my drink/food order and get the check. I was a bit far away from the pool so maybe just not as many servers over there and once I got service it was quick and friendly. I would just hope the prestige of this hotel that service would be a bit more consistent. However do not let that dissuade you! It is a stunning club and I would be so lucky to come back. Something to note- I didn’t see beach access, I also didn’t ask so perhaps it’s possible, however I only swam in the pool

During our visit to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, we stumbled upon Club Dauphin completely by chance, and it truly felt like discovering a little piece of paradise. Even without a reservation, the staff were exceptionally kind and professional, making sure we were warmly welcomed and taken care of. Every detail in this luxurious and thoughtfully designed place reflects sophistication and elegance. We enjoyed unforgettable moments both by the pool and at the restaurant, surrounded by breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The impeccable service and overall experience made this one of the highlights of our Cap-Ferrat trip. I would absolutely love to return!

plenty of space, lots of loungers and plenty of privacy. you can relax between the trees in the shade or in the sun next to the pool. there is access to the sea. you can take the cable car down or take a nice short walk through the swept garden. there is a wide choice of drinks and food. showers are available next to the pool, toilets are a little further away. there is a shop for swimwear, but it is only open in summer. the pool is long and has different depths, it is suitable for swimming or just relaxing in the water.

Walked down for a quick lunch. Had such a lovely time. The staff was very attentive and kind. Offered me ablanket since it was so windy. Foodwaslayered with amazing flavor and I loved the french fries!

One of the most magical experiences - particularly the cabanas overlooking the Mediterranean. Spare no expense on lunch - the food is divine, (but make no mistake: you will be paying for that premium view). Lea organized our time (she was amazing!) and Sophie tended to our early needs throughout the morning. Kudos to an exceptional team!

Excellent day spent at Club Dauphin. The service is truly top notch, it sets the standard for what 5 star service should be, especially in France and Cote D'Azur where customer service is generally very lacking, and often downright rude. The pool and surrounding areas are absolutely stunning. The pool has salty water so it keeps you buoyant. It is a good temperate, not too hot or cold. think this is my favorite pool in the French Riviera. The food was good, but the prices are pretty outrageous. The chicken skewer and ratatouille were delicious. The pina colada and iced latte were good. The sunbeds were comfortable, and well positioned to view the sea and the pool. The parasols were for the most part decent. The pool staff frequently adjusted the parasols per clientele's desires for shade/sun. Everyone was quite friendly. The boutique is cute. The change rooms and showers are clean and private, with Dipthyque hand wash and lotion. I felt very comfortable here, the clientele is refined and respectable. Lovely, relaxing day by the Mediterranean Sea.
