13 Best Gay Bars, Restaurants, and Coffee Shops in Raleigh and Durham | Eater Carolinas

"From renowned Durham Drag Queen Naomi Dix comes the newest addition to the Triangles queer club scene. Club Era, located in the basement of the Fruit, hearkens back to a ‘90s, early 2000s vibe with themed dance parties, regular open hours, and plenty of drag shows. Elder Millennials looking to party but not looking to relive their college years will appreciate early weekday hours and the Sunday Service starting at noon. Some events are 18+." - Matt Lardie

Very trendy place, one of those Instagram/tik tok vibe places. Very expensive drinks! Was over 33 for two mixed drinks. Gratuities are included at each purchase and it's 18-20%. Not a normal 5% for each drink, $1-2 bucks a drink, is normal. Very very loud, couldn't hear the music, but you can feel it, thats for sure. Hip, cool place to go. Oh yea the fountain in the pictures is the bathroom sink. Not really useful, but definitely cool.

Great vibes! Mixed crowd! reasonably priced drinks! Bartenders were amazing! Multiple rooms to hangout in! DJ this past weekend was great! Ig: t.ross_bodifitlife

Club Era is a new and fresh take on the Raleigh-Durham area, club and nightlife. Even though it's relatively new, it has started off with so much more to offer than several other businesses that have been here for a long time. It's very positive and inclusive towards LGBTQIA+ customers, but also businesses and other groups looking a great spot to provide more entertainment opportunities. The staff is not only always friendly, but several have worked at other very successful similar businesses in the area over time. It is looking to be the start of a new special place for Bull City natives and visitors from all around. Highly recommended to drop in on different nights and seeing which events and themes suit your interests, but also trying out hanging with the regulars and dancing too.

After having a very mediocre experience at The Fruit, Club Era was a refreshing breath of fresh air for my night. Definitely one of the coolest spaces I’ve been to in a while; they’ve obviously put a lot of thought into the aesthetic & curation and it pays off. I absolutely love the themed rooms and featured artwork and it provided some super cool spaces and reprieve from the dance floor area. The dj was awesome and had some super unique remixes that were a great change of pace from other clubs in the area. Overall, it’s definitely worth a trip and is a great spot for a night out in the Triangle.

Amazing experience! Will come back. Recommend 10/10. Come as you are. Staff was very engaging and friendly. Everyone from the front desk, bartenders, DJ, performers, and security were amazing. Vibes were vibing.

So glad Naomi Dix opened Club Era, it’s our new favorite going out spot in the Triangle! Lot’s of cool spaces to hang out and chat inside when taking a break from dancing. There’s also a nice sized terrace outside!
