First of all the service is A-1.shahni probably one of the friendliest and approachable bartenders also knowledgeable about the cities and restaurants this would be one of my favorite bars in San Diego ca , it’s a need to drinking hole ..

Great prices, great selection, great atmosphere... but the very best thing about this bar is Shahni. She is fantastic at her job. She NEVER lets your glass stay empty, she is VERY friendly and positive, and she is a great conversationalist and has a quick wit. I went back again and again because of her.

Staff was friendly... I don't remember closing out but I had my card the next day... In fact much of my time there I don't remember which, for a bar night, means it must have been a good one! So I'll give them 5 stars... My friends said they all had a good time and I briefly remember petting a dog which always makes for an even more enjoyable experience...

Club Marina is an iconic bar and always very fun... Super location, drinks, and atmosphere.... For years, I have always recommended it to my family and friends. Kari's drinks and service were sooooo perfect !!! Loved the honey coated mixed nuts. A super plus !!! Usually I purchase music the entire time I'm there... This time the music was scratchy and could not be heard. It's critical to make sure the music can be heard and sounds good relative to the crowd present. That will maximize your Touch Tunes revenue and create an incredible atmosphere your customers love. We'll never leave ! 😀 This is an easy problem to remedy. Honestly, I am a long term Point Loma resident and love this bar 💙💙💙 Thank you !!!

The place was upgraded since 2023 as is pt Loma, it's becoming a fun destination place for pool drinks and good crowd, no stupid influencers!! Fun and good core crowd to hang with.

I went as part of the monthly Dive Bar Meetup (thanks, Chris & Ellen!). The bartenders were on top of it. Drinks good. Decent prices. Good news: they do Apple/Goggle Pay, so you don't have to have cash or cards! The atmosphere was good, more like a nice neighborhood bar than a dive. They don't serve food, but they allow you to bring food in. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, like Mitch's, Point Loma Seafood, etc.

I don’t drink alcohol, but walked in to check it out and liked the vibe, which made me almost want to get a beer, but found my way to the cool gaming space in the back with a pool table and great selection of pinball machines.

Great dive bar. The pin ball tables are awesome. My little lady loves the popcorn. Good beers and good drinks…just don’t expect them quickly.

Hands down, one of my favorite spots to frequent when in the Point Loma marina. Great specials and service. Atmosphere is comforting and the bartenders are always friendly and attentive. Kari is my favorite, absolutely hilarious, and one of the main reasons I come in. She always remembers my name and makes me feel welcome. There's also plenty of pinball games for those looking for something other than sitting at a bar top and a pool table with plenty of room to maneuver. Highly recommended !

Charlie and Jordan were bartending tonight. Absolutely amazing, kind, attentive bartenders. They enhance the already kick ass vibe of Club Marina we all have come to know & love. Thank you both!! You rock PS: Jordan makes a fantastic ranch water. Charlie makes a mind blowing old fashioned. I'll definitely be back, and y'all are missing out if you don't come see these two in action.

Stopped in after eating at a nearby restaurant. This is usually our go to place for after lunch/dinner drinks! First, the staff is always super friendly, whether it's the staff during the day or evening shifts. The drink are always GREAT with generous amounts of alcohol. We usually get dirty martinis, Jack and Coke or the many beers on tap. The drinks are reasonably price plus you get popcorn! Who doesn't love popcorn....well it's my fav! During the day seems to be the same crowd everytime we've gone in and on the evenings it's a little bit of a mix. Either way definitely a fun place and a nice atmosphere!

This place is amazing. Kari did a great job managing the bar, getting deliveries sorted, and running the show. Great charisma that shines through across the bar - patrons were hanging out having great conversations and having a nice afternoon. Personable across the board- we will be back.

Kari was wonderful. Asked us our names and served us wonderful drinks. Even celebrated my niece's birthday with the entire bar!!

Wonderful bar, good prices, good environment, good camaraderie. Top notch service from Kari, I felt welcomed by her from the first minute to the last. I found exactly what I was looking for here saddling up at open on a weekday.

The happy hour vodka crans were made perfectly!!! They didn't skimp on the vodka for sure and for $5 who can complain??? The bartenders service was absolutely great. I just wish I could remember her name!! Loved the pinball machines here. You use a card so no need for coins. Convenient. The AC/DC machine was my favorite.

We came here after eating nearby to shoot some pool. They also have arcade games and free popcorn! The popcorn was freshly popped too! One of the workers suggested that I add some hot sauce on it haha. It was a fun place to hang out and grab a drink as well, since it's a bar.

Shahni was the BEST bartender I have had in many, many years! Our first time here, and we live in SD. Extremely friendly - and bonus... they have arcade games!

What a fun bar! We loved stopping here in the evening for some drinks and games. Staff was friendly and it was full of locals. You had to put credits on a card to play games but they were really fun. Drinks weren't too expensive. Windows open with fresh air were wonderful. Overall great spot!

Went there for Happy Hour. Great prices and nice atmosphere. $4 beers on select brands and $5 well drinks for Happy Hour!! Shahni was an amazing bartender. Very friendly and attentive. Amazing selection of top shelf whiskey, vodka and tequila for a "dive" bar. Easy walking distance from marina once you are done deep sea fishing or any of hotels in area. Will definitely be back!

Fun bar! The bartender was super friendly and nice and we had a great time. We brought our dog with us and sat at the bar and it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Best bartender at the landings in Point Loma/Fisherman's Landing. Shahni was the most awesome and friendly bartender I've ever met. And I've been to a lot of bars, and Shahni is #1 in the world. If you get a chance, stop on by (happy hour is 11 am to 6 pm) and let her know Phish sent you. 5 stars from Phish.

Club Marina is a dive bar in Point Loma. Salty regulars fill the barstools during the day, while a younger crowd takes over after dark. Becky and I were staying nearby so we decided to stop in. It was pretty late and the place was filled with a younger crowd. They were all shooting pool and playing video games - the bar is part arcade too. We ordered a couple of pints of 805. They came out of the tap almost lukewarm. That was a bummer. We stayed for a bit, then put our warm beers down and hit the exit.

We had THE BEST valentines date here after a Triton charter cruise and I've held on to the valentine Erin gave me to remind me to leave this review. Thank you Erin and thank you Club Marina for being THE spot my hubby and I have spent several wonderful nights out. Your bartenders are like our cheers buddies every time and we LOVE the popcorn!!!

Very solid neighborhood dive bar. Usually dives with this much window space don't work very well, as the outside world invades the dark cavern-ness that should be, but it somehow works at Club Marina. There is a long L-shaped bar, some booths, and pool tables and arcade games in the back. The sole bartender Shahnee (sp.?) that early evening held down the fort like a champ. She somehow made a good old fashioned from a well whiskey and was otherwise very entertaining. I'm not in the Pt. Loma area often, but will definitely be back when I am.

As far as dive bars go, this one has it all: 1- Full bar 2- Pool table 3- AMI juke box 4- A handful of arcade games And bonus for having great lighting so you don't feel like a complete degenerate when you stop in for some day drinking.

I learned from a fellow Yelper that Club Marina is one of the oldest bars in SD that is now owned by Waterfront. I love that the old divy bar vibe is still there - a little dark with some arcade games in the back. Shahni was the lone bartender holding down the fort and she made a fantastic well old fashioned. What was even better was that they had pickle juice and so picklebacks were able to be poured! Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the area!

This is a very fun spot. Like a hometown bar with video games in a pool table. That atmosphere was amazing and super friendly . Come, check it out for yourself!

Nice local bar in Point Loma and a new stop for us on our way home from biking or outings in the area. They have a game area and golden tee as part of the gaming selections. We enjoyed shooting some pool and playing some skeeball.

A great stop any day of the week! Check out the Sunday Funday Bloody Mary - Sundays only!!!! Love this restaurant / bar group and highly recommend them all. Bartenders are friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and atmosphere is fun and laid back.

Erin was so wonderful! Came in with a big group and she slayeddddddd. Made the party and celebrated the birthday girl. 10/10 recommend!!!

In "Reviewing the Reviews," and too understanding the "beyond cool-ness" of the "Dive Bar" moniker, I both appreciate the labeling and also, feel that the DB label is not at all accurate. Club Marina was acquired by the same group whose "Mothership" is the Waterfront bar in LI. Thank whoever, yet the Waterfront group did not bastardize the establishment, they embraced the historical aspects of this "fisherman's & fish-monger's"welcoming locale (e.g. local fishermen's hangout.), as was the Waterfront Bar in LI with their Portuguese & Italian fisherman who resided, even across the street. . . Personally, I find that the staff at any venue can "Add or Subtract" to the satisfaction for the customers, yet the staff at CM seems to -- without a "forced feel" -- create an totally great place to hang!

Karlee is a beautiful new addition to club marina. Her outgoing personality and cue to detail is beyond. Will definitely be coming back to visit her.

Best "dive" I've been to. It's actually nice and clean and not shady inside and even with limited staff on a Monday night JP our bartender kept the drinks flowing and was very attentive. It was a pretty packed crowd but most people seemed very respectful of one another. The bathrooms were clean and there was decent music playing. I can see why so many people rated it well.

After I pick up a friend from the airport this literally the first stop we make. Good cheap beers - Check Outstanding popcorn - Check No hassles? - Check Best bar in Pt Loma hands down.

KP is just the best bartender ever! She is so sweet and so hot and keeps me wanting to come back!

After a long day sailing the bay, I was walking back to my hotel at roughly 9pm and this place was full. It has kind of a dive bar feel but with top shelf alcohols, craft beers, quality ingredients, knowledgable staff and ... Video games and pinball machines from my era of game playing. I popped in for a game of mortal combat and to people watch and then headed home. Cool spot.

Came for the Cactus Canyon pinball game that was recently put in, stayed for the awesome staff, cool ambience and arcade/game area, and affordable and reasonable drink prices. Looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town.

The Tuesday night bartender was very rude. Bar was quiet , very few people there and couldn't get served and when we did he acted like we were putting him out. I've been here before in the daytime and the bartenders were great and friendly! Not sure what this guy's problem was but I'll never go back if I see him working!

Place is okay, I guess. Cool location. Walking distance from the house. But they always shut off the jukebox to play some of their lame-ass femminazi music that blows. It'd be a cooler place if they just left it alone.

Wow thieving condoned by ownership. I went out to order a taco,I was gone 3-4 minutes,when I got back I asked Charlie,she made me a new one,when I asked about the money that was left there that's when I met the manager and the bouncer,when the bouncer took my newly made drink yes I told them to F off after I was told to leave,you would too. I'll do one better I'll never put a thin dime in your pocket in any of your bars ,I don't like your ownership style.

Came here Fri Sept 23rd 2022 approx 10:45pm for the first time w 2 my friends altho passed by a hundred times goin fishn at HnM. Now this wil be our goto bar while in Point Loma. The female bartenders were SO WELCOMING and Nice we felt so comfortable here. They even sang Happy Birthday to my girlfriend that turned 50 w the entire house. Made her feel Thankful and Blessed. Thank You for having such fantastic employees.

Club Marina best bar in San Diego HANDS DOWN! Erin and her BLOODY MARY are the best, trust me! Brought my nephew and he's had Bloody Mary's all across town and said this is the best he's had!

A true classic! This place has everything you need, cocktails, cold beers, pop corn and hot pockets! Bring a few bucks for the arcade games!

FINALLY! After 15 years I found my all time favorite bloody mary! It's pretty damn amazing. Erin (the server) says you can find shrimp and Absolute in this bad boy on Sundays. Erin is an amazing server and you can tell she loves her job and her customer. This place is awesome and I'm so glad I stepped in.

We come here maybe a little too much. But we can't help it! The liquor selection is better than expected for a dive bar. And you can't beat the prices! We can get our favorite bourbon for less than anywhere else. It's definitely a locals bar, mostly fishermen hanging out after getting off the boat, but you'll find some PL regulars like us mixed in. The bartenders are all friendly and hard working, but look for Nadia, she is exceptional with hospitality. She remembers everyone's names. And makes you feel like a part of the family even if it's your first time.

KP and Tom were the best bartenders we encountered on our visit. KP makes the best old fashion in the city. Tom can sling drinks and make conversation without error. It would be a huge mistake to miss this hidden locale.

We are in San Diego two or three times a year. We love finding places that are off the tourist radar, you know, where locals hand out. We found this place after having the most amazing fresh seafood place that is hidden away (another story). We were here for the first time precovid. We came in again this evening to find smiling Erin still slinging drinks at a bar full of regulars in the cleanest bar in..... maybe any where. Friendly, mixed crowd, KILLER margaritas and happy mixed drinks, lots of top shelf as well as the familiar standards liquor. Snacks but no kitchen. Pool table and pinball in the back. Great neighborhood bar w lots of great liquor options, incredible service (Thank you Erin) and many fun video games, pinball machines and a pool table. I definitely recommend coming here and look forward coming back again soon.

The staff, regulars and non-regular types are all aces here. Best place in town to get tasty cocktails.

Been coming to this bar for a couple months now, came for the drinks but stayed for KP's smile and friendly service!! She makes a great painkiller and always takes the time to ask me about my day. Arcade games are fun and the popcorn is always fresh
