I went here on a Thursday night as a solo female traveler, because it was close to my hotel. I read many reviews that this club is racist, so I was nervous to try and enter.
Anyway, the guard hesitated slightly to let me in, but it seemed more so because he was surprised I was solo rather than because I was foreigner. He told me I can go inside so it was ok.
The club is big and has a confusing layout where it seems even the bar area people have to have reservations to stand there? It seemed strange to me. I could not comfortably find a place to stand and enjoy the music, because many Korean girls would reserve spots at the bar and stay there the whole time.
The biggest problem for me was the attitude of the Korean men in the club. As soon as I walked in, men grabbed me roughly. I stood at the bar with a drink and another man came up to me, tried to grind on me from behind and for some strange reason attempted to pour his drink into mine resulting in drink being spilled all over me and my phone. The bartender saw this rough and disgusting behaviour and did nothing. To be honest, if this happened in my country (Australia), the man would be kicked out immediately.
I understand Koreans have a negative perception of foreigners because maybe they experienced bad behaviour from some previously, or they think it brings down the club’s image. But, honestly, Korean men seem to behave much worse than most foreigners I have seen. I hope that management can recognize this and have more modern views on how they manage their club. It’s so sad to see people being discriminated against even in 2025 and should be made illegal.
