"This pint-sized powerhouse for coffee, pizza, and wine is easy to miss. But wander to the alleyway around back of Elena, its steadfast sibling and a key player in Montreal’s Italian food scene, and discover a relaxed tiered terrace that hits all the right notes. Sharing the same kitchen and much of the menu with its big sister, expect the same glorious sourdough pizza that diners flock for, along with a killer kale Caesar salad and some superb natural wines. Don’t miss out on the Industrie Alla Pala, an oblong pie with a thicker crust than the other (Neapolitan) options on offer, dotted with generous dollops of creamy stracciatella. At lunchtime, try the hoagie. No reservations required, but, be warned, the secret’s out about this backyard-basement hang." - Valerie Silva
"This St-Henri staple remains everyone’s favourite back-alley hangout — with coffee, pizza, and desserts available by the day and pasta added after 5 p.m. It’s hard to beat the vibes at this casual neighbourhood spot." - Daniel Bromberg, Eater Staff
"Elena’s coveted Caesar salad, “M. Funguy” (wild mushroom and taleggio pizza), and mafalda pasta can be enjoyed outside, around the back, and on the cozy Club Social PS terrasse. During the day, it’s also a fine place for locals to grab a hoagie and escape the Notre-Dame strip." - Valerie Silva, Tim Forster
"The cozy round bar at Club Social P.S. behind Elena in Saint-Henri has about ten stools facing the centre bar, making it conducive to chatting with your neighbour. The menu is the same as in the main dining room; if there’s no space in the back, just ask for a seat at the bar in front. Summertime is particularly nice (and social) here, with seating on several levels and fairy lights." - Ivy Lerner-Frank
"With just ten stools snaking alongside the round marbled bar, Club Sociale P.S. was made for cozy catch ups with old friends. Pull up a stool, order a glass of natural red and a pizza from upstairs Elena, and bask in the quiet comfort of decent decibel levels." - Kaitlyn McInnis
