"Club 77, the new Loop restaurant and piano bar from the owner of Roscoe Village hotspot Le Sud and acclaimed chef Pat Sheerin, kicks off dinner service tonight after starting with breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. Check out the menu below. Ownership previously teased a dish with seared sea scallops, fried eggplant, crushed tofu, and mapo vinaigrette, as well as guajillo-braised pork shoulder with corn and masa polenta and roasted peach barbecue sauce. A two-course prix-fixe for theatre-goers that includes a glass of wine or cocktail is also slated to be on offer." - Daniel Gerzina

The restaurant’s from co-owner Sandy Chen (Le Sud, Koi Fine Dining Asian) and features food from chef Pat Sheerin (City Mouse, Trenchermen). They’ll roll out the full space and dinner menu on September 9 in the Loop." - Ashok Selvam

The venue will feature a piano lounge atmosphere with performances, a 60-seat garden terrace with a retractable roof, and a menu designed by former City Mouse chef Patrick Sheerin. Dishes include an Italian beef sandwich made with wagyu, cappeletti stuffed with sauerkraut and gruyere, and a vegetarian option with carrots and Vadouvan. The restaurant aims for a balance of casual and fancy, catering to downtown workers with affordable pricing." - Ashok Selvam

Highly recommend the rigatoni or the salmon sandwich. The rigatoni was rich and flavorful. It was well portioned and great for a rainy day. The salmon open faced sandwich was cool and crisp. Each ingredient had great flavor and together made a really nice light lunch option. The chicken broth with pesto was warming and tasty. Great service from all the staff. A really enjoyable lunch spot.

The restaurant that used to occupy this space had bad service. I was hoping that new ownership would improve the customer experience - I was wrong. Food was okay.
