The 38 Best Restaurants in Calgary, Canada | Eater

"Launched by sister duo Nicole Gomes (Top Chef Canada: All Stars champ) and Francine Gomes, Cluck continues to assert itself as the premier fried chicken option in the city, thanks to its great quality chicken meat, Nicole’s top-secret spice blend, buttery biscuits, and indulgent gravy. If you don’t want the full meal deal, go for the Mother Clucker sandwich (fried chicken, honey hot sauce, blue cheese mayo, slaw, and pickles on a homemade bun). [$-$$]" - Dan Clapson

I really enjoyed this visit compared to my first experience at the Beltline location. We ordered the chicken strips and poutine, and both were great. The chicken was moist, tender, and full of flavor. I’d definitely go back. The staff was also extremely friendly and very patient when we were deciding.

I ordered the "4 big chicken tenders" combo. Since the tenders weren’t very big, they kindly added an extra one, which I appreciated. The chicken was full of flavor, and the breading was delicious with just the right amount of salt and a nice touch of black pepper. It wasn't greasy at all, which made it feel like really good quality. The coleslaw was more vinegary than sweet. The ingredients were fresh, and I could taste the natural sweetness of the cabbage and carrots. I chose the house-made honey mustard as my dipping sauce. It was tasty, although a little too strong for the chicken, and ended up overpowering it. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. I just wish the tenders were a bit juicier and slightly larger, like the name suggests. My rating is based on personal preference, as I tend to like a sweeter coleslaw and a milder honey mustard. Still, I’m giving it 5 stars for flavor and overall quality.

Not bad! Was craving chicken and wanting to try this place for a long time - finally tried it out. Love that they have an option for just two tenders and 1 biscuit. Great if you’re not looking to go overboard or you’re just not a big eater. The chicken meat quality is good. Cute little place. I’d give it a 6.5-7/10. Does the trick, , Nothing is bad but also not “omg this is so delicious”. More just ok - good.

The whole experience at Cluck and Cleaver was amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really enhanced our dining experience. Cluck and Cleaver offers a unique culinary experience that you won’t find anywhere else, and I highly recommend trying everything on the menu. We chose to sit on the patio, which provided a delightful atmosphere. The space was well-designed and comfortable, making it the perfect setting to enjoy our meal. Some standout dishes to try include the crispy fried chicken, the buttermilk biscuits, the tangy coleslaw AND the fries! - Don’t miss out on their famous fried chicken sandwich and the delicious poutine, which are both exceptional. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, Cluck and Cleaver is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy exceptional food and a great dining environment in south Calgary

Google
Cluck n Cleaver is hands down my favourite fried chicken in the city!! I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there, and the prices are pretty reasonable too. Highly recommend! PS: their ranch is homemade, so good!

It was busy today! 2 for 1 Tenders day! One of the owners came over and introduced herself…Francine was so personable and friendly. Only our second time here, but definitely will be back. Thanx Cluck N Cleaver 😀

If you’re a fried chicken aficionado, Cluck and Cleaver is an absolute must-visit. The owner was on Top Chef and also featured on Big Food Bucket List!!! From the moment you step in, it’s clear that this place is dedicated to the craft of fried chicken. The menu boasts a range of options, but the classic fried chicken is the star of the show. The crispy coating is seasoned to perfection, with just the right balance of spices, I don't find it spicy at all. My son absolutely loves it!!! Beneath the golden-brown exterior, the chicken is juicy and tender. Their chicken burgers are huge and amazing, great flavor!!! I love how they bread their chicken for every order. We have even gotten the day old chicken located in the cooler, it's 50% off and a wonderful deal. Just pop it in the air fryer and it comes out amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but I've always just gotten take out. So whether you’re dining in or grabbing a quick takeout, Cluck and Cleaver offers a consistently satisfying experience. The only thing that I feel needs work on is their biscuits. Very dry. If you need biscuits, go to churchs chicken in Silverado, their honey biscuits are amazing thanks for being amazing

Google
I have been wanting to try Cluck & Clever, ever since I was looking for catering options for my work. Now that we have moved into the neighborhood, we stopped in for a quick dinner during our move. We were so impressed with our service and food! A truly delightful experience! My husband and I loved it so much, we just had to order in on our final moving day! The Mother Clucker is perfect if you love hot wings and blue cheese dressing! And The Sando is a wonderful Japanese inspired option. The Chicken Pieces were perfect for our youngest. And the sides.... Wow! You have to try the Bean and Corn Salad! 10/10 I would recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Wonderful lunch. Venue was clean and staff were friendly. Chicken Sandwich was delicious, had the corn and bean salad side. This was extremely tasty as well. My only complaint was the cost, unfortunately this is a Calgary wide issue. Almost $19, for the sandwich and side, I felt the sandwich was worth it and would get it again. I would skip the side, as good as it was, I honestly felt that there was no value for the amount of money a small side cost. I would still recommend Cluck and Cleaver to friends and family, unfortunately if I went with my son I would probably hit $55 easy, for a 2 person lunch, so it's a solo lunch to keep the price down.
