LOVED THE DECOR, AND THE CHURROS!!!! ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE AND FOOD WAS A MISS.
Ahhhh, I'll say it time and time again. It's really the good service over everything for ME. My boyfriend and I were in the area, and I made him take me to have some fried chicken, somewhere-- anywhere, and yelp lead me here. Let's get into it!
Food: 2/5
Ahhhh. I love me some fried chicken, but the sandwich was a total let down. It was a very big bun, and literally the smallest piece of chicken. I'm not a big eater myself, my tank gets full extremely fast (my family literally gets so annoyed because I order kids plates 99% of the time) so it's very crazy for someone like myself to complain about the size. . But it was really that small! The slaw was okay, and the sauce they used was...ah, super excessive. It maybe..okay, definitely overly soaked the sandwich. It made the bread extremely soggy and just not good at all. When I took a bite of the sandwich, it was all bread and sauces. I wouldn't order it again.
I also saw on the menu, my favorite- CHURROS! Stuffed churros are a part of my DNA, and here they were actually delicious! The cremes in the middle was so good!
Price: 2/5
The chicken sandwich wasn't worth $7.00 in my honest to god opinion. My boyfriend spent $15.00 on my 1 sandwich, and 2 cut up churros. 1 Churro of caramel, and 1 churro of Bulgarian creme. @ $3.00 a stuffed churro. Were the churros worth it? TOTALLY. We came in my boyfriends jeep with the top off, and I literally cannot think of a better way to enjoy a Sunday, other than riding around eating churros in sunny LA.
Customer service: 0/5
Ah. The worst of this trip- the service. When I got there, the first girl didn't seem too happy, but she definitely wasn't mean. I figured hey, maybe she was shy? Bothered? There wasn't anyone else in the restaurant, it wasn't busy, but maybe there was phone orders? I don't know, but I let it go. What was so funny, Is I didn't realize she was the nicer one of the two. Another woman came out from the back just staring at my boyfriend and I. Not a friendly stare, a mean one. My boyfriend literally commented on telling her something, whereas I am the type to just ignore. (I understand everyone has bad days at work) a few mins pass by, and woman #2 walks up, and just looks at us- doesn't say a single word, and gives us the food. I asked her politely if everything was in the bag, she gave me the look of death and said "MHM!" I couldn't help but laugh. Like DANGGG! No "thank you, please come back to see us again" or "Have a nice day!" No being nice, no nothing, and why? Sheesh. As I walked out, my boyfriend looked back to see her talking crap about my outfit and my bottom. To be fair, I did have on a bright yoga set, but what does my clothes have to do with a person not being nice in a restaurant we are spending money at? So weird.
All in all, I will not come back. I truly didn't enjoy the food, or the attitude. I liked the decor, really enjoyed the churros, but this will be a one time stop for us. On Sunday, we like to relax, have good food, and enjoy spending our money at new places. However, this time it didn't go as planned and that's okay, too! I do think if y'all are in the area, definitely try it on out and tell me what you experience! *Tip* Maybe go for the chicken wings vs the sandwich!
