I travel the country for my job and I love to visit food trucks. This is my first fried chicken food truck I have visited. The flavor was awesome. The food presentation was seriously lacking but the taste made up for that. I would have given a perfect score here but I eat with my eyes first and I was disappointed. I will try it again next time in Houston.

This was surprisingly very good. I see this food truck often, but never stop to try. First, the waffle fries are amazing! Everything was hot and fresh!! The wings were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am ready to go back and try some of the other menu items.

SERVICE TERRIBLE!!!They have a new system to order I accidentally pressed chocolate when I wanted a Oreo shake , a honest mistake . I told the worker and he said I couldn’t change it he said I’d have to pay for a whole nother shake and I didn’t even consume it ! I then bought the Oreo shake JUST to prove to him that he was being unnecessarily unfair when he could just give me an up charge or just switch out my shake with no problem to him. It wasn’t a big deal to give a customer a cold shoulder then try to be nice after realizing the Customer isn’t going to match that Energy !!!! He was being hard to work with for no reason , and this is the Second time I’ve came here and had the issue Of the service not matching the food quality. This has to change.

We love the chicken tacos from here. If you are Indian , Mexican or American this place is must visit. We order food at least 3 times a week from the same place. Quality and quality are good.

First time here, my friends and I were very excited to try this place! He was able to tell that it was the first time we've been here, and explained his top orders for first timers. Wait time was about 15-20min. Oh man it was all absolutely delicious. I definitely want more but today was our last day in town. Chicken was juicy, we all got different sauces (mild, medium hot, and hot) and all were amazing. Great food. Great service.

I ordered the 6pc Hot clutch dry rub and reeses shake. Shake & customer service was good, but i am very disappointed on the food. The wings are abnormally big for one;they’re not even a nice size these things are steroids huge. Second, they have no taste and barely any flavor. They just have a little dry rub seasoning on the skin but that’s about it nothing on the inside and no salt to taste just dry rub almost like you’re eating seasoned water. Also not as spicy as i thought, i would’ve been better off getting “cluck it like its hot” level. Their clutch sauce is not the best tastes like ranch & mayo with a little sweetness. Their fries are okay but heavily salted and seasoned. Only was able to down 1 wing before i gave up, skin is also chewy not crunchy. This was my first time here and the wings are the only things i had, maybe other menu items are nice….but my experience wasn’t. Too pricey to be disappointing.

Was our second time here. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. Now I'm somewhat of an onion ring connoisseur, but these were burnt to a crisp. Gave my teeth PTSD....but the chicken saved the day. Next time I'll check before I leave.

Customer service was excellent. I ended up here because another truck I wanted to visit wasn't open. I had a clucker sandwich combo. It was nothing memorable. Also received waffle fries instead of regular fries w my combo. Fries matter. They do. To me.

It was okay. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't amazing. Service was fairly quick I will give them another try before making a final decision.

Tacos are amazing, I can't get enough of them. Hopefully one day they would consider opening a restaurant and serve some daiquiris with their tacos. Speaking it into existence...

After arriving in H-town later than scheduled, the dining options were limited besides the national fast food joints, Denny's, and IHOP. As I passed a couple of fuel stations, this food truck caught my eye. Its closing time was 3 am which is unheard of in my local area. Clutch City Cluckers has a fleet of trucks covering the greater Houston area. All of them stay open well past midnight. The menu was a variety of fried fare with a focus on chicken. Seafood was also available so I picked the Shrimp Daddy Tacos with a side of french fries that were waffle-style. Three flour tortillas were each filled with a slaw mix, sliced pickles, and Cluck It sauce that topped pieces of fried shrimp. The sauce was a tangy remoulade. Orders were made fresh so it took around ten minutes before my food was ready. For $18 after tax, the amount of food was good while the quality was average. Again, the best aspect was the night owl hours of operation which is good for those working a graveyard work shift.

Best wings in our area! Great flavor. Large wings. Cooked perfectly. Will definitely order from Clutch City Cluckers frequently.

Cluckers lived up to its name last night and came in clutch for dinner! We called in our order and it was ready for pickup in 10 minutes! They offer different levels of spice and no spice for people like me! Their special sauce is a must with any order and I recommend asking for extra. The flower power tacos are a big hit for us, my man ate one before I could even get the picture, which is why there are two

Take this review at face value but hear me out. If you decide to get a hot chicken sandwich from a food truck parked at a gas station... this is the absolute best you can do. The sandwiches are crispy and the bread is buttery. The sauces are flavorful and can be extremely spicy is you so choose. The guys are friendly and make good recommendation for spicy level. The vibe is "food truck at a gas station" lol. If you're looking for food truck chicken sandwich it's pretty damn good.

This was the worst chicken sandwhich I have ever had, I came here in the middle of April and all I can say is the pictures are very misleading. do not order from here.

Tasty fried chicken, but overpriced for a fried chicken sandwich. Paid $17 for 2 fried chicken tenders in a bun. The fried breading was falling off and there wasn't enough sauce. Portion size was huge though, had an extra tender for the next day.

Houston, you've got some options. Fortunately, living in Houston presents itself as a competitive place for food with SO much variety. Unfortunately, for what you get - this ain't it. For $16 and some change, I received a sad looking sandwich with two thin chicken strips. Nothing else. No fries. No drink. Nothing! It's not even too big. The flavor? Not really there. I got mine hot and it tasted less than mild. The visit also took about 15-20 minutes for prep. As expected, but the final product was not worth the wait. Not sure if it was just a bad visit / rough day or if this place is consistently this way.. hope the former!

Still on a quest to find the best hot chicken sandwich is Houston. I picked up from this location on opening day. The wait was a little long, but that was to be expected. Full price for the meal was on the high side. 2 tender cluck it like it's hot - (3/5) not as spicy as I expected it to be for extra hot. Loaded tender fries - (4/5) good amount of meat and the sauce on fries is yummy.

Yes this was a very good spot as well, especially because I was from out of town and never ate here before but I got lucky and the food was big portions and very tasty.

Food is subpar and expensive. $13.00 for one chicken tender and four slices of bread??? Ridiculous. Every time my review is removed I will put it back. People should know that the food may be a little better if you can complain in person but take out and delivery is trash. I will never return.

So I had clutch city about a week ago with my boyfriend and the first time was reallyyyy good. It was so good that we ordered again 2 days ago but through Uber eats. Let me just tell you, a very different experience. I don't know if the chefs were tired but everything was bad and it tasted like the chicken and shrimp were fried in old grease. I may give them one more chance but it probably won't be soon

Yes, it was about a 30 min wait, but it was almost midnight on the 4th of July, and Canes was closed. So I see how the parking lot got crowded. Totally worth the wait. We ordered 4 different sandwiches and 2 orders of fries. The chicken was juicy and seasoned just right. I ordered 3 mild and one medium, next time I'm going for the spicy. It was a little sketchy and also because I know someone was shot in this parking lot a few months back. I think that's why I had avoided going here, but I'm glad I went. Will definitely be back!

Food is apparently delicious but the menu and website didn't specify that the wings were breaded. Glad that everyone enjoyed it but I couldn't have any because of the breading

This place is so and so, for chicken that doesn't take much effort to prepare...it's a disappointment... I don't like the food preparation as to where the seasoning is placed after the chicken is made. I had the chicken waffle extra spicy since I love my food to have more than an extra kick of spice. I was expecting to be wowed with flavor and I was disappointed. I liked the waffle more than I liked the chicken. And the side of slaw that it goes with doesn't really give the food depth of flavor. I will give this place two out of five stars, being that the waffle was the main star of the dish. The chicken not so much. I still remember the powdery texture of spice it had it is like they didn't even try to study the art of cooking. And yes cooking is an art, a craft that must be mastered with precision, love and tender loving care. It's like the cook of this place just didn't even try to study what goes well with what, and chicken is so easy to make, who messes up the ingredients when it comes to chicken tenders??! I'm just dumbfounded...

Another stop on my quest to find the best fried chicken sandwich spots in Houston. I feel bad to say it but this one feels overhyped and overpriced. The chicken was good, very similar to the ones from Dave's. However the breading really wanted to separate from the chicken, and it did. The fries was over cooked and dry. The sauce was straight up a canes copycat which isn't a bad thing. It's not bad, but for $15 I expected a bit more.

I hate giving low reviews, but this was not it....Houston is spoiled for choice when it comes to hot chicken sandwiches and sadly this place does not even compare to the others in town. The bun is hard, the chicken is bland and the coleslaw tastes like a sugary dessert. IM SCARED.

Pass by and decided to try it got the tenders, shrimp basket and sandwich wasn't impress it was a little overprice and not much of a flavor like I imagine. I do recommend the waffles and cheese fries are amazing. Service was great fast and quick.

My food was amazing! It was a nice mild tasting chicken tender slider, I absolutely loved it! Would have it over and over again!

I placed an order for pickup through Uber eats since I was headed to that area. Food was hot which was a good thing I got the loaded fried and a chicken sandwich with fries which came out to about 27$. Broke open the box, smelled great wen for the loaded fries first. The chicken was hot but the chicken had absolutely no flavor. The fries were good the sauce was decent but altogether I give it 2/5 stars. When I got home I decided to give the chicken sandwich to try, the chicken had no flavor. The buns were good but the chicken was very small compared to the bun. For $27 I was expecting a bigger sandwich and it being flavorful. First and last time here.

So glad to have this on my side of town! The loaded fries is my favorite. This is located at the Texaco gas station next to Specs so limited parking space.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would ... Just left here about 20 Minutes ago and it was terrible literally awful for starters.... I drove 13 minutes from home to this place ordered my food and it was about a 20 minute wait , when I received my food I checked it to make sure everything was there , proceeded to drive back home when I got home I opened my food realized the fries had no seasoning , my burger had pickles on it and I told them no pickles and the chicken tasted horrible , most disgusting thing I ever ate , I then proceeded to drive back to the place and when I got there I gave them the food back and they said they weren't able to give me a refund I paid $36 & they only gave me $20 back the guy who took my order told me if I like the food to leave a review and if I didn't don't leave a review at all .... This place is terrible the owner is a b**ch and he's very money hungry . The good tastes old and very plain . DONT WASTE YOUR TIME PLEASE

I've always heard the name but never actually took the time to go to the truck by the Galleria. After seeing they had a second truck 2 minutes from my house, I was like okay let's try it out. Finally pulling up, I was greeted by the owner, Fozi, who was super nice and welcoming. I ordered the small loaded tender fries (medium hot) & I must say... the entree was phenomenal but let's get into the chicken! The tenders were fried and cut up but the crust, the texture had me wanting more! I can't wait to try one of the sandwiches next!

The sandwich was so delicious! I was recommended to get the egg on top. Get it over easy y'all. It was so good. Juicy. I should've gotten Spicy though. The mild was still good though! You will definitely get full off of one sandwich.

If I could give no stars I would. This food was horrible. I got the load fries which weren't loaded at all. The sauce was horrible. The cheese was disgusting. My fries were cold and hard. And i had literally ONE chicken tender. If i could get a refund i would. Don't waste your money coming here.

Pretty good the first time I went here. I always order the chicken tenders. Seasoning was great and chicken wasnt dry at all. It was smoky and spicy with a hint of sweetness that I enjoyed. However, I went again another 3 times and each time it was worse than the last. Not sure what happened in terms of quality and consistency, but I've decided not to go again until reviews get better as it seems other people are experiencing the same. The batter and seasoning taste different everytime I eat there, and not in a good way. The fries also seem to be inconsistent in both quality and quantity. Sometimes they're quite generous and the fries are fresh other times they're stingy and soggy.

Everything my wife and I ordered was bomb af! Our food was hot and seasoned very well. I got the loaded fries and was not disappointed. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I needed more fries with the chicken I had left at the end and I didn't like the pickles (but you can take them off). A bit more cheese would be clutch too (but that's just because i like cheese lol) This was our first time eating here and overall, im definitely ordering here again and would recommend everyone to give them a try!

I got clutch city last night, 2 tender sandwich. IT was enormous!! I got medium hot as it was part of my late night craving. Definitely recommend HOT next time, but it was hot delicious and will be back soon to take some more pics.

Who ever came out with this is a genius. This is my favorite place to eat tenders from. I'm talking a unique spicy taste just how I like it.

Extremely disappointed, thought canes was bland without the sauce of course but THIS?! bland even with the goddamn cheese and wtv seasoning they put, it is sooooo bad, the skin was falling off the chicken, paid so much for this and threw most of it away, i found that eating it with simply no skin or seasoning was somewhat CONSUMABLE, please don't eat from here, save your money and go to DAVE'S HOT CHICKEN!!!

I've been to the one by galleria. It was decent. I ate here at a location on main. I got 2 chickens. 1 sandwich. 1 like tender. Fries... they said if I leave review they would give me like free fries. Brah. I got a medium flavored. And a extra hot. 1. Huge serving size 2. Big serving size doesn't make up for lack of edible ness. 3. Both tastes the same level of spice. Neither hot. The fries were okay. The breading or whatever fell off the moment I picked it up. Honestly. This review is past due. Bro. It was terrible. No other way to put it. Did not taste good. I'm sorry. I spent like 30+ $$ and I regret it to this day I didn't even eat it all. I don't even want the free fries. I know I sound harsh but for the price you guys have people need to know they might regret it. 2 stars because the other time I went it was at least good enough to enjoy

Highly recommend! Everything was fresh and I was able to leave it for a while and come back and it was still delicious! I'm also not a big coleslaw fan but it goes really good on the sandwich.

4/5 cause I'm a broke sucka. The food tho 10/10. This is most definitely a payday spot. But eating food this good makes going broke on it worth it. I'd spend every paycheck here and die a happy fat full man.

Disappointment is craving hot chicken at night and going to this place. I've been here a couple times and have usually never had any issues but last night I had the worst experience. I ordered hot and extra hot loaded fries, and was very excited to come home and get my grub on, but come to find out that the chicken has no seasoning or spice whatsoever. I decided to go back to the food truck just because the food was flavorless and I could not continue eating it, especially since I like my food spicy. I go to the employee and I tell him what happened and he takes my food and makes me a fresh new order. So now I'm thinking okay I can finally eat and enjoy my food. Until I open the box and I try the chicken and again, no spice to be found. It was very disappointing and I took maybe three bites, until I decided that I'd rather go to bed hungry than eat this unflavored chicken. I'm not sure what happened, and why my food was so flavorless especially after I went back to give them a chance to correct their mistake, but I'm hoping that this never happens again because honestly now I just never wanna go back to this food truck when there are many others who make the same thing when asked the first time around.

Some of the best customers service I've have from a food truck ever! The guy working the window is awesome and does a great job of selling you on the food! Once I got the food I totally understood why he was so passionate about his food. IT IS THAT GOOD! If you have a chance stop by it is worth it.

When I tell you this is by far some of the best service I've had in Houston great people great environment and it's only a food truck my friend and I give it a 10 out of 10 and the food is phenomenal we will definitely be back!
