Amazing thin crust personal sized pizza from wood fired oven. Great hangout overlooking the creek. Ohana is a fantastic twist on Hawaiian pizza, or Palisades Peach pizza in season!

Kathy Lester

Google
In the mood for a good pizza look no further! You can either walk up and order your pizza to go or order for it to be brought to your table in the food hall upstairs. We chose to sit inside and our pizzas were brought quickly and were delicious! We tried the margarita pizza, the rocket, Jamón Jamón, and the laughing goat. They were all personal size so about 6 pieces each pizza. The margarita and Jamón Jamón were the standout pizza and would order again and again every time! It’s a personal choice tho in terms of our favorites but all were very good, fresh and glad we stoped in to grab a pie!

Google
Delicious pizza and the best tiramisu I've ever tried.

Google
Such a great pizza spot! They are personal sized pizzas. The Ohana was so good, as was the pepperoni. My friend got the GF pizza crust with the four cheese and she said it was awesome!! Definitely a little pricey, but so tasty. And the staff was very friendly.

Emilio García

Google
It’s one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. Crunchy, smoky, flavory. It has everything you could ask for in a pizza. My girlfriend is from Italy and she loved it too, this can be very successful.

Google
We eat here every summer, and their pizzas are really great! I always order the rocket, and never been disappointed! We love supporting local business, and with pizzas this good, it's not really a tough decision. Try them out, you'll be eating good gourmet style pizzas!

Paul Graves

Google
Best pizza I've had in a long time.

Isabella Perez (Bella)

Google
We got the gluten free pizza crusts. It wasn’t the best gf pizza crust I’ve had, but it was still very delicious, and I’d recommend to try for those that are gf. Just beware, the upcharge of $6 is so steep.

Yelp
We ordered 10 pizzas yesterday for our group and everyone was very pleased with the choice. Quality was great and the time it took to get that many fresh pizzas was also really good (~45 min). We tried 8 different pizza types and all were tasty. We would definitely order from Clyde's again and recommend them for all your pizza needs in Steamboat.

Yelp
The pizza came highly recommended by locals. The pizzas *were* pretty good but given that we come from a pizza town (Chicago), we are probably harsher critics than most. The thing I didn't understand is that they had us leave a tip when we self-serve ordered at the table and then they didn't bring us our pizza! We had to go pick it up. So that was weird... Still good pizza so 4/5 stars.

Yelp
Great quality pizza with fresh ingredients. We settled for the Margherita 9" and it was superb. Perfect for a lighter lunch after eating heavy on a trip in Steamboat like we did. Would come back again forsure.

Yelp
5 stars. For just amazing pizza! Here during the Summer months and ordered at the walk- up window. Sat down outside in their small patio area. Pizza arrived in about ten minutes. Thin buttery crust pizza was loaded with toppings and cheese. One pizza was enough for one person after a busy day. My picture shows the cheese that stretched off the pie after removing two slices. Wife and I shared two different pies. All their pies had unique gourmet toppings, which made it very interesting yet delicious. We will return and recommend to family and friends.

Yelp
We try to stop in and get 3-4 pies every time we are in Steamboat. This place is GREAT if you like high quality pizza!! And now that you can eat inside... Amazing!

Yelp
I have been very impressed with the food in Steamboat Springs and the fact that many restaurants offer daily happy hour. Clyde's Pies did not disappoint and was a very enjoyable respite/meal after taking a nice hike at Fish Creek Falls. You order your pizza at a window and can then choose to head upstairs where there's plenty of seating and a nice bar. There is also cold water at the corner if you want to cool off. They bring the pizza up to you, and if you need to have leftovers, there's pizza boxes in the corner near the water. Service was quick, and now on to the pizza... Clyde's makes a great pizza crust! The toppings are to your choosing, but the crust makes everything taste good. But what about the Happy Hour I mentioned earlier? We got a discount on our pepperoni pizza ($3 off?). We couldn't get enough of this pizza, so we went back down and ordered the special to-go. As we were leaving, Clyde was taking a well-deserved lunch break, and he allowed us to snap a pic. Pizza and beer is a great combo when you're hungry after a beautiful hike, and Clyde's Pies and the bar upstairs provided both.

Yelp
Discrimination Pizza Very disappointed bad pizza it's was soggy ,bad service ever. I ordered pizza for lunch with 6 people, every one got the orders from the other restaurants in the food court and finished while mine took almost an hour for my order. All the other tables got their pizza except me. I was the one who looked different than the white people maybe they were discriminating towards me. Never coming back again and don't recommend to anyone come to the restaurant. I went to check with them 2 times they ignored me and never said sorry and they never brought my pizza to the table. I had to pick it up myself.

Yelp
My family and I visited this pizza joint for lunch, looking forward to trying their pies, as we love wood fired pizza and saw this place while leaving the farmer's market over the weekend. Sadly, we left severely dissatisfied after actually going there. Extremely disappointed with quality of food, the quality of service, the value, AND the overall vibe. First, while waiting for our pizzas to arrive, my husband inquired about where the bathrooms were, of the guy (the owner maybe?) at the entrance where we were sitting, who was leisurely loading the firewood from his pickup into the restaurant. Rather than answering my husband in a remotely friendly way, he treated us like an inconvenience / interruption and only even half-looked at us while giving us directions. Oh, and we were the only customers in the whole place the entire time we were there (worth noting, as it's unsurprising it was empty, given our experience). We ordered 3 pizzas - the Margherita, the Rocket and the Laughing Goat. The Laughing Goat was a soggy, wet mess. The Rocket was flavorless and while it wasn't complete wet TP, it was still quite mushy on the bottom. The Margherita was the only pizza cooked correctly and was extremely basic overall flavor-wise. When we brought the Laughing Goat pizza back up to the self-serve counter to let them know how soggy and wet it was, we were "corrected" by the young worker who had made our pizza, and told that's just how it is because "it's a heavy pie with heavy toppings." We clearly were supposed to know this and expect/appreciate a wet soggy mess. Flippant, very careless response. We were then offered to put the same pie in the oven longer (with the warning it would be more burnt), or we could have a new one made, or a different pizza. No apology or concern whatsoever, no offer for a refund or comp or discount. No hint of remorse on the restaurant's part. We ordered another Margherita pizza, to replace it. They didn't even refund us the $5 price difference between the pizza we sent back and the new one we ordered! Yes, seriously. Add to it that there was very limited seating with dirty, too-tiny tables that we had to clean off ourselves with napkins before sitting down to eat, the whole thing was just a real let down. As someone who worked in the service industry for close to a decade (in everything from pizza joints to high-end, fine dining restaurants), I left feeling extremely sour that we bothered to spend our time and money here--enough so to bother with a review. This place reeks of a dispassionate, dying business that doesn't care about the people they're apparently there to serve or the products they're serving. Bummer experience and a complete waste of money. Note: We also visited How Ya Doin' pizza while in Steamboat and it was FAR (FAR!) better in terms of quality, service, atmosphere and value. We LOVED our experience at HYD. Go there instead, and avoid Clyde's--you'll thank me!

Yelp
Pizza was only decent. My pizza soggy underneath which is pretty unpleasant. Just a heads up to wear a jacket when you're picking up your pizza. If you order remotely (as recommended) from the food hall, it may not be obvious that the pick up is outside. I froze my butt off waiting for a while to pick up. I also note that they recommend a 20% tip despite the fact that you order it yourself pick it up yourself and clean up after yourself. (?)

Yelp
Finally a place that has a an amazing tasting pizza! Flavor and balance of ingredients is spot on. Highly recommend it!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great pizza! A little pricey and you may have to wait a while but so worth it. The roasted veggie pizza was our fave!! So much flavor and so many toppings!
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
The pizza is excellent! The service just ok because you basically order at the window or online from the tables upstairs and they alert you when your food is ready so you can go downstairs to the window to pick it up. I was a little put off by the automatic 20% tip added to the bill for a window service pizza place, but was happy they gave me a chance to change it on the next screen (I took it down to 18%, just because they had added a tip in the first place without first asking if I wanted to provide a tip). Anyway, the pepperoni pizza my nephew ordered came out with a large quantity of oil on top of the pepperoni, but a couple napkins took care of that and my nephew and his grandmother loved the pizza. I ordered the cheese pizza and added mushrooms, and really loved my pie. Note that all pies are intended to be personal, but two was plenty for three of us.

Yelp
Food is awesome. Back alley ambiance is a 4. Service direct to the table was nice. Would recommend and will come back.

Capn B.

Yelp
The pizza was pretty good. Let's start there. Neapolitan style pizzas, a little small for two people, and almost $20 if you build on the sausage pizza at all (say to add bell peppers and mushrooms. The dough is appropriately chewy and flavorful, but doesn't puff up as much as you might expect (that could be an altitude thing). The service at the commons is pretty great. They have an unusual service method, they know this, and have plenty of staff roaming around to help with drink orders or figuring out the online ordering thing. That said, Clyde's is in the Commons but outside, and mostly does not bring food to the table. So if you order from inside, you might find yourself climbing down, and then back up three flights of stairs with hot pizza on metal trays after a long day of skiing, trying hard not to trip.

Yelp
Clydes may just be the answer to my pizza troubles in steamboat! Since Cuginos closed, I haven't found my spot but out of the 4 pizzas we got last weekend, all 4 were fantastic! Clydes recently joined the Steamboat scene full time from the basement of the Ghost Ranch and can be accessible from the alley. They have a few tables outside but for now this is really a to go place. He has an online ordering feature on his website that was easy to navigate and some really tastey options. The Ohana has a bit of a kick with great flavor but the sausage was the winner of the night. While the adults loved the four cheese pizza, my kids opted for the pepperoni due to the Gorgonzola. All around great pizzas. They are 9" so make sure to order plenty!

Yelp
We had great food and great service at the bar upstairs. A super cute eatery that I wasn't expecting in steamboat. Will definitely be back

Yelp
Best pizza in town, Clyde is a master of his crafts. Happy atmosphere and the staff is great.

Amber M.

Yelp
Sent an online order in for 3 pizzas and it was ready fast. Everyone in our group is already planning to go back again before we leave back to our home state. SO GOOD.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Great pizza at a reasonable price. Picked up to go and ate back at the hotel, it was good.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
Great pizza fast service! This pizza is cooked to perfection. The sauce are perfect... That, put your favorite topping on it and Shazam!

Jack L.

Yelp
Ordered ahead for five pizzas and pies were ready at exact time I requested. Staff was outstanding in making recommendations and full description of ingredients in pizzas selected. He also recommended the number which took care of everyone with 2 pieces to spare. Price was very competitive for Steamboat Springs

Kevin Y.

Yelp
We were staying across the street from Clyde's so we tried it for lunch. Their pizzas were delicious! Particularly the vege pizza! The crust was so good! My wife who is not a huge pizza fan even said it was maybe the best pizza she had ever had! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Mido Z.

Yelp
Great pies. Crust is fresh tasty. Combination was delicious. The center was a little soft because of juices. Ohana or Hawaiian was excellent. Highly recommend

Roger L.

Yelp
Nothing special and they never texted us to let us know our pies were ready and when we finally decided to check they were luke warm.
google avatar

Alayna K.

Yelp
Best pizza in Steamboat Springs and now in Clark on the way to Steamboat Lake or in our case one the way back
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
We ordered our pizza and waited 3 solid hours until it arrived. If this restaurant isn't capable of fulfilling orders as a small scale setup then they should not offer delivery via third party delivery service, which was almost $30 JUST for the delivery fees and tip. Waiting 3 hours for pizza is ridiculous.

Tesh F.

Yelp
This is an excellent restaurant with amazing food! All of the pizzas are incredible, however personally I would recommend the margarita pizza as some of the other pizzas are acquired taste. The service is mostly good however note that good food takes good time and you may be waiting for your food for a while. The restaurant venue is the best fit for ages 10 and up. There is a bar, however there are many tables you can sit at a instead. You order food by scanning a bar code at your table and pick up your pizza at the takeout window. This restaurant is generally family friendly and the pizza is amazing! The pizza is more expensive than other pizza in town, but the quality makes it worth the money.

Yelp
There's a lot of great pizza in Steamboat but Clyde's takes the prize. Wood fire singed crust and fresh toppings combine to make the most flavorful and delectable pizza you've ever tasted. An unpretentious gourmet pizza experience.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
The pizza is AMAZING! Great stable menu and good rolling specials. Not much seating, but a great takeout place.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
OMG!!!!!!! Ordered 4 pizzas for super bowl. Excellent crust, excellent sauce, excellent toppings. LOVE!!! Our new favorite pizza place!! Get the 4 cheese, the mushroom, the sausage and the meatball and ricotta. Amazing!
google avatar

Ceal P.

Yelp
Perfect pandemic take out spot!! We we're driving to Airbnb from HDN airport and ordered 6 pies for pick up passing through. Classic wood fired oven pizza. Our favs were the funghi, kids loved pepperoni. Pick up was easy.

Yelp
Wow wow we wow! This place is very special pizza place and deserves all the recognition it can receive. I was in Steamboat Springs and we were shopping around town looking for a bite to eat and was recommended this place. Man, it didn't disappoint. We did it family style and ordered a bunch of different pizzas and tried most of them. I got a picture of their four cheese, laughing goat, ohana, and funghi misti. I didn't get a picture of their roasted vegetable and margherita pizza. Each pizza on its own was spectacular! My personal favorites was the ohana; it was such a good balance of toppings and flavor with a wonderfully cooked crunchy crust! Prices are reasonable for the 9" pie. Ordering was super easy. We put in our order and 10ish minutes later all 6 of our pizzas came out. In the end, if you're of fan of fresh made pizzas cooked in a beautiful wood fire oven, then Clyde's needs to be added to your list of places to stop!

Yelp
Yummy! If you are scrolling Yelp looking for pizza, and if you don't try Clyde's, you are doing it wrong. 3 adults in our group. 3 different pizzas ordered, and 3 satisfied customers. Take out friendly with limited indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Tyler E.

Yelp
We were wowed by Clyde's Pies. We ordered four different pies and each were delicious! Service was friendly, organized, and pies were ready for pick up when scheduled. Highly recommend this place! We will be visiting again.

Dale J.

Yelp
I traveled to steam boat springs on my ski vacation and craved pizza. Wow this place had amazing pizza. Went back a 2nd time. Absolutely delicious. Not much of a seating or inside dining areas but the pizza is worth it. Dale.

Nikki R.

Yelp
We were looking forward to this pizza all week after reading the reviews. Sadly, the pizza was merely ok and the service was extremely frustrating. We set a pickup time for several pizzas earlier in the day. When we showed up for pickup, the staff looked like deer in headlights and told us they'd let us know when the pizzas were ready. 30 minutes later we finally got our pies.

Noah S.

Yelp
Clyde's pies is hands down one of the most authentic pizza spots in steamboat. Family owned and the pizza is outstanding. I highly recommend anyone to stop in and grab a pizza.

Kyle K.

Yelp
Out classes every other pizza place in steamboat. I grew up in NY and pizza in steamboat is always just okay, that is until I finally tried Clyde's! The pizza is just. . . Right. crust is on point, toppings don't taste cheap and unseasoned, the sauce is well spread and not barren, or too saucy in some spots. everyone was smiling and friendly when I paid for my pizza. I'll be back fosho!

Toby L.

Yelp
Wow! Best pizza in Steamboat. So many flavors and textures. Can't wait to order more.

Don P.

Yelp
You can't beat this for serious crusty bottom and fresh toppings. Get a cocktail at Barleys, while you wait. Steamboat local strong call.

Dee E.

Yelp
Saw their sandwich board on the sidewalk during the Yampa Street Fair. Ended up coming back later in the day to pick up dinner. One of the best red sauces we have ever tasted!! My 14 yr old daughter who is normally a cheese and pep kinda girl raved about the all of the pies she tried. My only regret is that we didn't order more ;-)

Kathy C.

Yelp
Hands down THE best wood-fired, gourmet pizza in the County. Thin pie with fat, crispy edges, Italian flour. A great tasting base for lots of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients including fresh herbs. Faves are the Ohana and the Funghi. No-nonsense, East-coast style service at the window (or the truck, if they're up at Clark Store). Add a bottle of red, a mixed-greens salad and a good movie...

Jastesh S.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The place is very unassuming, kind of tucked away in the back. It is very much a hidden gem. It was really good - one of the better wood-fried pizzas in Colorado.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! Clyde's Pies pizza are beyond delicious. We are visiting from out of state and I will definitely be craving more of their pizza when I go home. I especially recommend the seasonal peach. Yummy!

Lindsey L.

Yelp
Creative, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Friendly and quick service. A new find for us and we'll be back for sure! Funghi Misti and Laughing Goat for the adults, and Pepperoni and Margherita for the kids. So good!
