The theatre is well-maintained and clean, offering a pleasant and comfortable movie-watching experience. The seating is cozy, and both the sound and screen quality are impressive, making the films more enjoyable. The overall ambiance is welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place. However, the food counter service could be faster, as the response time while ordering snacks was slower than expected. Despite this minor drawback, the theatre remains organized and easy to navigate. It’s a good spot for watching the latest movies in a clean and enjoyable setting, and with quicker service at the food counter, it could be even better.🎥🍿🎬🎞️

Oh, where do I begin... Years ago, I had the pleasure of attending a CMX CineBistro opening at Peachtree Corners, and it was a spectacular event. We were even given a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen, and from start to finish, the experience was top-tier. Naturally, I had high hopes when I decided to visit the CineBistro at Halcyon, but my day there turned out to be a lackluster experience at best. I visited during the daytime, specifically because I thought it would be less crowded—and it was. The front desk staff greeted me with a cheerful attitude, which was a nice start. I had purchased tickets to see two movies: a nostalgic favorite, Hocus Pocus, and a new film about the backstory of Saturday Night Live. However, I was informed that if I wanted food, I’d have to place my order at the bar. Being that it was noon, I understood the likelihood that servers wouldn’t arrive until later in the day. No big deal. But once I entered the first theater, things took a turn. At first, I thought my eyes were deceiving me—was that lint or something floating in front of me? No, it was a fly. Wait, actually, it was moths. Several moths were flying around the seat I had chosen. I brushed them away, thinking it was a minor issue, but they didn't seem to mind my attempts to shoo them off. I moved seats, but no matter where I went in the theater, the moths followed, or perhaps they were multiplying. Either way, they made it impossible to fully enjoy watching this beloved cult classic. By the time the first film ended, I had a bit of a break before the next showing. I figured it would be a good time to grab some food. Looking back, I wish I hadn’t. Still, I waited for someone to assist me at the bar—and waited. For 15 minutes, there was no one at the front desk or behind the bar. I was told they weren’t making milkshakes at the time, which was already disappointing, and nothing else on the menu seemed particularly appetizing. When I finally managed to place my order, I went with a chocolate Turtle Mason jar dessert, fries, and a bottled water. Imagine my shock when the total came to $30—gratuity included. I get it, businesses need to turn a profit, but really? $30 for a small snack? Unfortunately, the moth situation wasn't limited to the first theater. The second one had its share of unwanted winged guests as well. This time, they were even more visible under the theater lights before the movie began. I managed to catch one on video, clearly attracted to the area where I was seated. Although there were fewer in this theater, the presence of moths was just as unsettling. Then the food arrived. The fries were decent—nothing spectacular, but at least they weren’t messed up. That’s a small comfort considering it’s hard to ruin fries. However, the dessert was a different story. While the whipped cream and candied pecans were nice, the “cake” described on the menu turned out to be a bland brownie. And at the bottom of the Mason jar? A weird, tasteless syrup-like substance that completely ruined the entire dessert. I couldn’t believe I paid $8 for that disappointment. In the end, my visit to CineBistro Halcyon was overwhelmingly disappointing. Between the moths constantly interrupting both movies and the subpar food, it’s safe to say I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. If you don’t mind sharing your movie with flying bugs, this could be your spot, but I strongly suggest eating beforehand or visiting one of the many nearby restaurants—Eclipse di Luna, just across the way, comes to mind. CineBistro Halcyon, please do better! I expected more from what’s supposed to be an elevated movie experience. #ashsaidit

Well I guess all the 1 Star Reviews weren’t misleading at all. We arrived to check in, nobody was in the lobby except the man sitting behind the counter more concerned with his phone than us standing there. I’m sorry, but in the south a little common courtesy to a customer or guest as they walk through your door and up to your counter is kinda expected. None of that was received all night. I asked, So how does this work, do we order at our seats or what? I was told to go to our theater and we would be served. That wasn’t true. I asked the couple next to us as we sat, they were kind enough to inform me that I had to go to the bar. Ok, I go to the Bar and granted the young man was polite and nice, but didn’t explain anything and over $50 for popcorn and soda is just absurd. And NO, I didn’t Tip Extra! The popcorn tasted good, but gave us both an upset stomach before the movie was over. Theater 5 does in Fact Have Moths flying around everywhere. A lot of them actually. For a second I thought we were watching The Birds or a Horror Mystery but no. The carpet was all ripped up, trash throughout the halls of the building and isles of theater 5. Would we go back? Nope!

This place was expensive with small portions and mediocre food at best. We went on a Friday night at 7, and I expected it to be busy, but it wasn't. They had a bar, but it wasn't staffed and no one was in the lobby. I booked tickets ahead of time and it cost $2.50 extra per ticket to book online. Not this location's fault on that part, but I still didn't like it. When we got there the air conditioner wasn't working outside of the theaters. Odd, but I can still get past it. In the theater itself all the head rests of the chairs had worn through. It was gross. It made me not want to sit in the chairs. When we left my husband had pieces of vinyl all over his back from sitting in the chairs. The food was expensive, which is further frustrating after the movie ticket and the "convenience fee". We had the bacon Mac and cheese, which was OK and the wagyu sliders. The sliders were also just OK. The tomato jam was sort of congealed and the burgers tasted like the premade frozen ones you throw on the grill for a large BBQ, but without any seasoning at all on them. We also asked for a kids drink for my 10 year old and were told they only have the large ($7) drinks. However, they brought my 7 year old a kids drink. My husband asked for a refill on his drink and we were told to go to the window outside for that. I did go to the window, but there was a line on 7 people and no one at the window. As we were leaving the theater they were turning away a family of 5 because they had kids, who looked to be teenagers, and it was after 8pm. I see all these recent 1 star reviews. This seems like a clear case of poor management. There are so many other theaters in the area that offer a better experience and better quality. We won't be back.

We purchased a movie for 9pm and they shut the kitchen down at 9? Left me and my date with only soda and popcorn after not eating to go here together was the ultimate let down. The bartender can’t even make a decent cocktail. Popcorn was stale. They didn’t even have jar jalapeños only fresh ones. Like what!? First time and last time going to this location. Studio movie grill did better and this place is way more expensive. Go someplace else trust me!

We hadn’t tried this, but thought it would be fun. We looked at the menu on-line and made sure to arrive early as recommended. I decided ahead of time on a milkshake and fries. My spouse saved her daily coffee ration for a latte at the theater. The staff were attentive and friendly. We sat down, they took our order. “Sorry, no milkshakes, we are out of ice cream.” “Sorry, no lattes, our espresso machine ‘blew up.’” Fries? Yes. And a coke and iced tea. “That will be $29.90.” “Really for a coke and ice tea and 17 ( we counted them) french fries still, inexplicably, cold and raw in the middle, while cooked on the outside?” 17 French Fries. This place sends a message to not return. Little bits all over the carpet everywhere. It just needs a vacuum before opening in the AM. The urinals in the men’s bathroom had not been recently cleaned, the whole place smelled like the toilets in an Interstate gas station. All the corners in the bathroom were loaded with “stuff,” hairs, and such. The seats don’t recline far enough, so they are weirdly uncomfortable with lumbar support lacking. There were a few moths flying around us. …might need to get an exterminator in the place. The glass in the front of the facility is dirty, streaked, and hazy. On the high side, the movie was good. The temperature was comfortable. The sound was excellent. Even so, we’re not coming back.

The seats and floor had food from previous showings on them. The food was mediocre at best - and the selections were poor. They got my wife’s order wrong (charge for correct, but brought the wrong food to the seat), and my food was completely cold in spots - as though it was a microwaved frozen meal (possible). The prices were astronomical for what it was, and in no way did the wait staff earn their compulsory 18.5% tip. $6.99 for a soda with “unlimited refills” that you have to refill yourself is nuts. Even the popcorn was overpriced. Lastly, the bathrooms were a wreck. Toilet paper everywhere in men’s and women’s rooms; the women’s room had only 2 working toilets. The others were either soiled or blocked up. I would not recommend this place to someone I cared about, and we won’t be returning. For the price, I was expecting a very upscale experience, but had a worse experience than my local AMC.

No ice cream to make shakes. Could feel the crossbar in the chair bottom so quite uncomfortable. Got the wagyu sliders and they didn’t taste very good but little did I know they were rancid! Vomited when I got home! Horrible smell from bathroom as we were leaving. This place is disgusting. Go elsewhere!
