It's a very cool place to hang out with friends and special ones, If you like to play pool, then this is the place! Very nice customer service Only one pool table!

Finding this spot in Fremont was a delightful surprise. I was out with friends, and on a whim, we decided to check it out. Stepping inside, I was immediately struck by the fantastic DJ—the music was truly impressive. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with people enjoying the pool table, drinks at the bar, and simply soaking in the good vibes. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. It's definitely a hidden gem, a cool, unexpected find in Fremont. The only potential downside is the parking, which can get a bit crowded, but it's a minor inconvenience for such a great experience.

Great service cheap drinks. My kind of hole in the wall. Great place to watch a game

Cool bartender. Cool spot. Nice table. Update: I had a great time shooting pool at Coach's once again. The local shooters are excellent. The patio is very convenient and the service as always is exceptional. I enjoy Coach's friendly vibe. I had a great time and highly recommend Coach's. thanks!

First visit was a Friday afternoon. We were treated politely and served quickly. The bartender was great. Most the people in the bar seemed to know each other but they were kind to us, too. We sat here for a few hours actually. It has good energy and will be our regular Friday hangout now. There's no vegetarian food here but it's all good. We can eat the chips they have if we need a munch.

My favorite bar since I was 21, im 33 right now I been to more bars than I can count and this is still my number 1 favorite bar it has bingo, pool tournaments, dj, and kareoke... food drinks amazing nice bartenders and good vibes always

Google
Low priced drinks, free popcorn. No complaints. Seems to have a regular crowd of men and women that know each other but friendly to me and my female friend. Sometimes got too loud for our conversation because of the hard surfaces but people all seemed to be having fun. We just moved seats a bit further from main group at bar to continue our conversation. I'll stop in again next time I'm in Fremont.

Google
This is the first bar I paid $14 for a Stella Artois and $11 for a Trumer Pills, in the whole of Bay area. You get charged an extra $1.50 if you pay by credit card, an extra surcharge (I'm not exactly sure how much) if you close your tab and reopen. Either it's an extremely expensive bar with zero ambience to offer for the price or I got dinged twice.

Yelp
Have not been here in awhile. It was good to be welcomed by the regulars and staff. Especially the door man AJ and Daniel. Love this place!!

Haddath G.

Yelp
Been coming here for over a month now and all the bartenders are cool. They have weekly events like pool tournaments and a DJ plus bingo. They have deals on drinks when football is on and some snacks on deck. Great bar Ima keep coming back

Yelp
Coach's Sports Bar isn't that visible from the street cuz !)there's a taco truck in front blocking the view, 2)it's at a bend where Fremont Blvd makes a sharp turn so attention is focused on the road. setup is a semi-long bar with electronic dart boards in the corner, a pool table in the rear. flatscreens all around. small parking lot in back. happy hours 4-7 brew: "hop venom ipa" (boneyard, oregon.) 9.8% abv, (7) -interesting name, took a pint, strong smooth double IPA with complex notes. on draught: -full bar with all the usual drinks. -friendly bartender.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Bar service was nice, dance floor was small though mighty, and outdoor area was pleasant.

Davinia F.

Yelp
Great vibe good drinks! Loved the music . Went here one night with hubby. It wasn't real packed but enough people to enjoy the experience.

Teddo L.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Benita, the bar-tender, was great -- approachable, friendly, and willing to take requests for TVs, music, drinks, etc. Lots of regular customers frequent the place, but there are plenty of places to sit. I'll be back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Dani the bartender is so amazing had such a great time would recommend this sports bar to all my friends. I give her10 stars

Yelp
Super friendly staff! Always wanted to come here pre covid, and now that I got the time to check this place out, it turns out they're pretty chill. Bartenders Leah and Jen (Jess?) Are extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. Their good luck even made me a decent amount of cash when playing the ca hot spot lottery here every time I came! If you're missing the small town dive bar feel pre covid, then definitely hit this place up during the week nights. Small but friendly social crowd. Weekends however, its a little busy but thats to be expected huh.

Larry P.

Yelp
Coaches is a fun bar. Great atmosphere. It's one of the few places to play Hot spot I like the karaoke nights and hanging out with one of the best bartenders in Fremont, Stephanie!.

Marie E.

Yelp
Filthy dirty. The sticky floor should have been a clue. The glassware for both our drinks was dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. The owner obviously doesn't care. Both of our drinks tasted watered down. My Kettle one didn't really taste like Kettle. Wouldn't be surprised if they're topping off the better bottles with well vodka. Yuck! Steer clear!

Daniel R.

Yelp
Thankfully re-opened after Covid hiatus. DJ on Friday and Saturday, KARAOKE on Sundays, woo! Pool, darts, good drinks, the bartenders hustle whem its busy and tske the time to say hello when theyre not. The crowd is usually real relaxed and friendly. Very home-like feel. Nothing out of this world but a good spot to hang your hat at on the regular. Did i mention karaoke on Sundays?

Eric A.

Yelp
This place has some great staff, but the manager is a jerk. Sorry. If you get Chris pouring your drinks, don't expect a drink.

Ras P.

Yelp
You (business owner) posted here on yelp that Wednesdays are Heineken hump day, Heineken and HLight are $2 all day. I was hella stoked to read that! It's Wednesday, 18:47 right now so I ordered a Heiny. Bartender charged me 5$, asked him what happened to Heineken for 2$ hump day? Told me they never had such a deal? That Heinys are imported and never 2$. Ever. Bummer. Either he's lying or you need to update your yelp info. Definitely not Irie man.

Vi T.

Yelp
$4 a pint. Eclectic mix of jams (from Pac to Evanescence and even a few 80's joints). Super chill. DJ on Saturdays AND no cover. Me likes. PS - shout out to that one guy for gettin' ya girl in the know about this dive bar. Or something like that. Teehee...

Earl G.

Yelp
Karaoke Fridays! Super chill, very diverse - both ethnically and age wise, cheap and strong drinks. Pretty good tap selection to have a brew with the Fremont locals. If you wanna be a little bit more social, there's an outdoor smoking section. There were a couple older guys "slummin' it" by themselves back there but as soon as something was said to them, they quickly came to life with light conversation. Then it looked like they started to actually enjoy themselves with. For some reason that song "Stan" from Eminem reminds me of those guys. $1 pbr Thursdays, free popcorn, a crazy dragon punch game - where you try to punch this punching bag as hard as you can (this seems to be really popular with the really drunk), and a pool table! Yessss!! Put me in coach!

Yelp
I stopped at this bar on my drive back to LA. It's located in an interesting part of town. I nearly missed it, but was looking closely for this type of bar. The parking lot was a little busy this weekend but we managed to convince the owner to allow us to park in a tight spot that maybe was a designated spot. I noticed a security guard sitting at the door. One of the first things I noticed was a digital juke box with a lot of current tunes. The restroom was very clean. Clean restrooms usually equal a clean kitchen. There was a popcorn machine near the front door that we invaded a few times. I like the strategy of getting us thirsty to buy drinks. The bartender was great. She made sure we were taken care of consistently. The crowd was a little mixed. Some college aged people, locals, and older people. I'd go back the next time I head to SF.

Bernadette M.

Yelp
Yeah... not my first choice in terms of places to hang out, but it was pretty cool this past weekend....especially getting the birthday girl HAMMERED! It has one pool table, which in my experience, has ALWAYS been occupied. A decent size bar that has the bare essentials. TVs hanging from the walls, two electronic dart board games and a juke box. Whoever played Breaking Benjamin, I LOVE YOU! One bathroom stall for the ladies. It can definitely get crowded. Steve is awesome. The pretty asian bartender is....well... pretty.

Chris B.

Yelp
This bar is amazing. I actually own a bar close by and I love coming here. Excellent staff and great atmosphere. Alex, Jen, and James are great! Check this place out. It's nothing but awesomeness!!

Tari B.

Yelp
Just stopped here for a nightcap with my husband we ordered two drinks a vodka martini and a Malibu and pineapple to the tune of $30 both drinks tasted like water and pineapple juice respectfully! I asked the bartender to use the bottles that were sitting there but she refused and told me they use these other bottles that were on the top shelf I guarantee you they were filled with water! Do not waste your time or money at this dive bar!!!

Yelp
Update 03/07/08: As of Wednesday 03/05/08 this review is no longer valid or accurate as the ownership has changed and most of the former employees have moved elsewhere. When the new ownership presents their business I will try them then, but as for now the Coach's of the past is no more. Good times and memories. RIP. *original review* Cool place, as suburban dive bars go. The drinks are good and the beers are cold and not too $$$. 3 fity 4 a half pitcher, (domestic) not bad. There's a spacious outdoor smoking patio for those who wish and they have a "tune central jukebox" with a huge database, so the music is always entertaining. Pretty diverse crowd and like most dives in the area the crowd get younger and sometimes rowdier as the evening goes. It's all part of the territory. Ain't gonna lie, this is where me and my drinkin' buddies usually hang out in town, when we just want to chill and catch up. If there's not really anywhere to go or just getting off a late shift, coach's is an easy stop. P.S. Mandarin Bombs here are the bomb and cab service is very encouraged and easily accessed here.

Shawna B.

Yelp
Great service, cheap drinks, pool tables, dart boards, karaoke and sports parties await you at coach's! To me its my personal cheers where I've become a regular and am friends with the staff. Love this place will always come back!

Rosemary M.

Yelp
What can I say about coachs????? I've been coming here for about 9 years and it's like a home away from home. Good prices, nice people and a chill atmosphere. They have some really good drink specials also. Monday- Friday 10am -7pm. 2.00 Wells 2.00 domestics. That's the best deal in town. It's always a good time at Coachs.

Mel P.

Yelp
Yay - free parking yay - free karaoke (extra star for this) yay - affordable and strong drinks yay - popcorn machine yay - friendly staff and customer's boo - only one pool table boo - creepy old guys hitting on me...where are all the creepy young guys??

Kevyne N.

Yelp
My friend used to bartend here but I never get to visit. Finally had some free time and I was in the area and the need to get wasted so I decided to swing by and finally check it out. The minute I walked in, I noticed that customers are mostly senior citizens Watching the game. That's cool. I don't want to be bothered by loud young people anyway. I just want my drink. Rosemary, the bartender is very pleasant. She made me Margarita on the rocks with salt. She made the drink strong enough to kick my pretty lil ass! Yeeessss!!! I am going to go home wasted! That's the whole point anyways! Drinks are definitely cheap but strong! Don't forget your ID! As usual, that's SOP. P.S. The bar smells old!

Yelp
I'm a 30 year Fremont local that has been going to this spot off and on for 17 years, met my wife there over 13 years ago. It use to be "the spot" when Coach Randall owned the place. Thursdays were crazy cool, packed wall to wall, all the bartenders knew your name, VIP hookups, etc. Upon his passing (goodbye once again old friend), the place has undergone some ownership changes, all of which have been for the worse. They have done a little here, and a little there to spruce the place up, but all without the affect they were going for. This place is now officially a DUMP. You cant expect to have a loyal following when sober ladies are disgusted and hurling due to the smell and general disrepair in the bathrooms. This place was once cool, is OK for a hit and run drink, but would not bring any of my friends or groups here. . . . EVER ~ If it were fully gutted, with new bathrooms and a friendly welcoming staff, it might once again regain its reputation among locals as a favored watering hole. For me, It gets two stars, one for what it is now (generous) and one in memory of Coach Randall, and what the place use to be . . . COOL ~

Sean M.

Yelp
Dive bar awesomeness right here! And I say "dive bar" in the most positive light possible. If you're looking for a pretentious place, with plastic people, and $15 Cosmo's, keep looking. In Fremont on a first date for some bowling action(rather unimpressed there), finish up there, but want to find a chill spot to have a drink and laugh. Well, not being from Fremont, I had NO idea where to go, but thanks Yelp for letting me know this little spot was practically around the corner. We could hear the karaoke bumping as soon as we pulled up and knew it was going to be a fun casual place. Walking into local divey bars sometimes can feel like the needle on the record skipped and all eyes shoot at you. But, here everyone was so chill, casual, into their drinks, convos, and karaoke that it was business as usual. The bar is long, the bartender super cool, and attentive. The drinks were cheap, $2 for a beer on a Friday night?? Can't beat it. There was even some talent on the karaoke, and given the age range there, they were playing some 90's rock that I grew up with and hadn't heard in FOREVER which was fun. For what it is, this is 5 stars! This place has a super local kick back feel, even if you're not a local(like me). If I was passing through Fremont again looking for a place to stop at, with the right company, I'd come here in a heartbeat.

R B.

Yelp
Hanging out with Rey M. and Vince V., we were looking for a place to get plastered without taking a bridge or tunnel tour. Thanks to Yelp, we found our way here. This place was D.O.A. (Dead On Arrival)! Even for the sole purpose of getting wasted, we still wanted an environment where we could be a bit social and at the very least people-watch. Before committing to this place and buying a round of drinks, we ended up walking out as quickly as we walked in. Just a side note, you'd think with the place being dead as a doornail, they'd welcome anyone to walk in through the door... so why did security give me a hard time about the beanie I was wearing? Since this is a sports bar, I can imagine this place being a little more busy if it were Monday night football or March madness, so my rating is not a reflection of the "sports" aspect of this bar. My rating is for the level of entertainment on a weekend night.

Jac B.

Yelp
Gotta agree with Linds. I'd go there just to see Tab smile :-) Can't help but smile back :-) I take away a star cause the music is always way to loud. Take it down a notch and you'll get another star. Update!!! Since the new owners took over this place has turned in to a $hit hole. My bf was told to turn his hat the "correct" way! Umm first of all it's Fremont not San Jose! Second of all it was an A's hat! He turned it around because we were there with people we have never met and he didn't want the bill in the way. If u see my pics my man looks nothing like a gangster. The bouncer was rude and out of line the way he approached us. We laughed at him, finished our round and left. We will not return.

Amanda Y.

Yelp
Went here on a Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and the place was mad packed! My boyfriend and girl friend shoved our way through the crowd and were standing by the bar waiting to get out turn. There was already a layer of people surrounding the bar, so I totally understand that there will be a wait to get a drink. Tonight was seriously something else... When people finally got their drinks and we were literally at the bar, sitting on the stools waiting to be served, we waited for a good HALF HOUR. Again, I am sympathetic that there are tons of people here tonight and you have to wait your turn, but no, the two girl bartenders (both brunettes, one with really short hair and one with long wavy hair) completely ignored that we were standing there and staring at them! And do you know why? BECAUSE WE'RE ASIAN. NO JOKE! I am truly not a racist person and would not make up such lies about an establishment like this just because I'm mad about the service. As we watched people get served up and down the bar, we began to notice the people next to us were slowly getting served and yet somehow we weren't. People who were NOT there before us were getting served first! And yes, they were Caucasian. I am extremely, extremely upset by this and will never come here again. I really can't believe this happened, especially because this is FREMONT and we all know very well there is a huge Asian population here. I can't even rate the price/quality of the drinks here because we didn't care to be ignored anymore and left. What a waste of time!!

Tisha G.

Yelp
Karaoke - c'mon people, you know it's my calling. Walk in for a "girls night" of Karaoke in boring ole Fremont, and 'lo and behold! Everyone I grew up with ends up being at this bar! Summation - One incredibly bad ass night. One horribly painful morning. Cheap drinks, free karaoke on Friday's and nice bartenders. You probably will run into some weird ass people, but everyone is usually okay after a few drinks. P.S. The Karaoke DJ rocks for playing Levels by Avicii. ::hearts::

Luis M.

Yelp
I've heard so many stories about Coach's it's not even funny. This is somewhat of a "beginner" bar for the locals. I'm not originally from the Fremont area but all of my friends who grew up here went through their "Coach's" phase early in their legal drinking lives. And so the tradition continues. The Fremont areas young crowd comes here, hitting the place especially hard Thursday thru Saturday nights. You will get groups of older people coming through reminiscing about old times though, but I don't think I've ever seen a group of old timers just parked there like you will see at Menconi's every day. My favorite story that one friend tells me is about the time her Dad was on the front page of the local newspaper. What did he do to receive this honor? He parked himself at the bar in Coaches on Christmas day and drank the holidays away. I forgot to add that Joe Berry is one helluva awesome guy.

Kevin D.

Yelp
I love this bar for what it is. No joke. Its not a shiny vegas bar with techno and disco lights that spew champagne and $100 bills. Its not ultra modern but its not a dump. No, Diddy has never had one of his extravagant parties here and he never will. Don't come here in your clubbing outfit. Come here in your seal clubbing outfit. I like this place cuz its chill, with affordable drinks and you can have a kickass time. I went here on a thursday night with my sister and a friend and we had a blast! Three people having drinks almost non-stop plus 3 hot-dogs (yes...i had a hot dog at a bar, we didn't have dinner yet so shut-up) and it only came to $55. Not bad at all. That would cost you 80+ at Dave and Buster's My friend and I had just watched The Big Lebowski and wanted to drink "a caucasion" aka a white russian. They said they didnt have cream but if we bought some over they would make it for us. I thought that was a joke but they were dead serious, and they did! I've met 3 bartenders here and all are pretty cool. Two guys and this really pretty girl with black bangs. (I like that look, so what?) Also, the DJ will play pretty much whatever you request. He didnt have my favorite fist pumping song, "Deadmau5 - Ghosts n' stuff" so he downloaded it and played it 5 minutes later. I was fist pumpin like a champ! . -1 for not having creamer/milk/half n' half for a white russian.

Basir K.

Yelp
I'm so in joy at this place people is so polite and service number one almost recommended...lovely Bar

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Coaches is bar far my favorite place to drink in Fremont! The bartenders are wonderful... Tab sure has the best smile you've ever seen in the world and Steve is effen hilarious. As for what Audra said about JB, the owner, couldn't be further from the truth. JB is the most kind hearted, love-able guy ever! If you get to know him he'll make sure you have the greatest time you've had in a bar. But, if you're drama, beyond drunk or underage he'll make sure you are not allowed inside which is more than fair. I will FOR SURE be back.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Is and will always be my favorite bar. Wonderful staff, friendly and prompt service, great karaoke(Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday ) and dj's(friday, Saturday?). Just an all around good time any day of the week. Drink specials during the week are amazing also( 2 dollar screwdrivers on mondays, Tuesdays-3 dollar Tecate cans, Wednesday -2 dollar kamikazies and Thursdays-4 dollar crown, goose, Jameson, henny, cuervo, and jack after 7pm! Can't beat the happy hour, 2 dollar well drinks and domestic brews that goes till 7! If you have not been go check them out!

Daniela R.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, mostly during the week when older generations hang out and aren't just trying to pick you up so it's a nice change. $2 bud lights and everything is a pretty good price. $1 hot dogs sometimes. Popcorn is free as long as you get some before it runs out. They sell pizza too. The bartenders are always friendly and don't ignore you if you have a question or want a drink. Bathroom is clean and always has soap, yay soap! Good smoking area. Don't like that there's only one pool table but what can you do. There are a lot of people singing on karaoke night but it's a chill place so I don't mind the wait. It's not somewhere you might being at. Ok so I had a bad exp once but the dj is nice, the environment is cool. Good times.

Jacqueline K.

Yelp
Surprisingly, I actually prefer this bar over the pretentious ones in Santana Row that serve, like, $7 Bud Lights or something. My friends and I went here on a night that was unofficially my high school (MSJ) reunion-- I think usually there are older people here and the place isn't incredibly crowded, but that night it was PACKED with little college kids. The regulars just leaned against the wall awkwardly holding their beers and staring in dismay at the amount of Asian glow before them. The place was so crowded, they ran out of glasses and started using the infamous plastic red cups, which should pretty much be the mascot of every college. Anyway, I ordered a Long Island, which was just right, not too strong or sweet. I didn't stay at Coach's for long so I can't say much about the other things they have there, but I do remember there being a smoking area because I ventured into it and started coughing, :'( Anyway, I wouldn't mind going back here because it's not too far from where I live, the drinks are good and reasonably priced, and it's just a fun place to relax and hang out with friends and avoid the nouveau riche of Santana Row. ;)

Christine Y.

Yelp
Perfect place for: meeting up with old friends & enjoying each others' company (and a few drinks) without having to travel too far. Overall, this small-to-mid-sized bar is decently clean (including the bathrooms), the bartenders make sure you never wait too long for a drink, & there is plenty space of for different parties to claim as theirs for the night. Drinks were pretty inexpensive ($6/midori sour for me). The free popcorn was icing on the cake; I usually don't particularly enjoy popcorn, but I loved their unbuttered, perfectly salted goodness. Being a sports bar, they have two massive flat screens on either end of the bar. The ~250lb bouncer is freaking tall and nerds himself up with stylish pair of black zyl frames. Their electronic jukebox means the ears of the masses are at the mercy of the few who are willing to pay to groove. The symptom of that was Lady Gaga and the classics Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Believin' being stuck on replay. One midori sour in which even I, with my super alcohol radar sensor tastebuds, could barely taste alcohol, was enough to do me in this night. 8 drinks was enough to do in my best friend. And that's how I found out Coach's parking lot and surroundings has really good places for patrons to throw up long after they've closed. Bottom line: it's good for what it is.

Michael S.

Yelp
When you go to most places, a "dive bar" is sort of wink, wink ironic. Nothing ironic or cute about the clientele here, seems to attract street people and Fremont's grubbier denizens. One loser--think Uncle Rico in softball attire-- had a fit when I bumped his songs on the jukebox, not realizing he had a monopoly on it. Patrons seem not to have left the borders of Fremont and have antiquated views on many things. Saw a few screeching women bounced because they could not use indoor voices playing pool. Some nice people but not enough to make me want to patronize on a regular basis. It's like a little slice of the Tenderloin in Fremont.

Kenny L.

Yelp
"It's a good thing that I'm not a star. You don't know how lucky you are. Though my record may say it, No one will play it. Sad songs and waltzes aren't selling this year." -Cake "Sad Songs and Waltzes" (1996) Came in on a Saturday night for the first time in a while. The bouncer's different, the bartenders are different, the crowd is different; it's much older. And they don't have the pretzels anymore. Apparently it was karaoke night (I never knew they had karaoke night here) and for the first hour I was assaulted with old people singing sad country songs off key.... way off key. Me and my buddies were far from comfortable, but what were our options? It was too late to go to Hooters, didn't want to drive across town to Mojo or pay a $20 cover at the Saddle Rack and no matter how bad it was, Kings Inn has to even more sketch. Face it, we're in Fremont and our options are limited. So we ordered a pitcher of stale hefeweissen, girded ourselves to tune out the bad music and reminisced about the good old days when we were drunken frat boys with nothing to lose and showing up to class drunk because of an insane party the night before. Now we are ruing that we are now responsible(ish) adults with plenty to lose. All this to the soundtrack of sad country songs sung well off key. Sad songs and waltzes aren't selling this year and this place is not what I remember. This place is wack, but I'll still give it one extra star for the memories.

Joe N.

Yelp
If you live in the Irvington District of Fremont Coaches is the place to be on Tuesday Thursday and Sunday, if you want good drinks awesome bartenders and Karaoke this is the spot in Irvington

Jesse B.

Yelp
We stopped by a birthday gathering for a friend here recently. Coach's had a neighborhood local dive bar kind of feel. I came up in dive bars so that's fine by me.The bartender was friendly and attentive. The DJ was ok. He seemed to keep the music moving just fine. They had a few god beers on tap. a decent pool table and an outdoor patio area for you smokers. The door guy was cool,The atmosphere was friendly, Bonus, there's a taco truck outside open til 2am. cool place.

Cliff S.

Yelp
Loveee dive bars and this place definitely fits that grimy bill. It just has this old dirty tavern feel but with present day sports posters and television sets. I went to Coach's when love 105's morning Woody Show was here, so the place was pretty packed and it made getting drinks a bit tougher then usual. Then again drinks were really cheap (2 dollars per bottle, nice). If I lived in Fremont I'd probably visit this place again.

Yelp
Popular culture sucks and there are plenty of reviews on this place that cater that point of view.... and now the other side!! This place is a watering hole, plain and simple. Take your techno, pop, bull*@~! and leave it in the car as well as the city- because this isn't the place for it. Go there expecting to mind your own business and have a few drinks with your friends. New ones aren't that hard to find if you have some manners and a friendly disposition. I saw one person mention brawls- That's a blanket statement for all establishments that serve alcohol- trouble is just an arm's reach away at anyplace that serves alcohol, so I don't agree with this statement. They couldn't make this place much better or worse given the square footage. If you live nearby- move. You chose to live where you chose to live- not our problem.

Yelp
Mediocre, but not the reason for my rating. Theres a really creepy asian bartender who gave me and my a date a really uncomfortable experience. The jello shot I ordered was okay, average quality. But when I ordered a screwdriver he filled it 3/4 of the way with what seemed like vodka, but when I tasted it I could tell right away there wasn't a drop of vodka, in fact i suspect water honestly. But it wasn't even this that made me give a 1 star rating. It was what he did after. After I ordered, he apparently glared at me and kept saying 5 dollars for the drink. I looked up from my phone to my date confused cause he was paying but the bartender kept glaring at me until my date paid. He kept giving me the most hateful and creepy stare like he wanted to kill me the rest of the time we were there and I was getting some serious bad vibes from the place so we left 5 minutes later. I didn't even bother to finish the sh*tty drink this guy made. Short story short: don't expect anything but mediocracy and in the case of the asian bartender: creepiness.

Yelp
I went here to see a NFL playoff game. It's a pretty decent bar if you're just looking for that. Cheap drinks, yelp deals, free popcorn, even free food during the game. It's exactly what you would expect of a bar so divy. Somewhat questionable clientele, but okay service. It's kind of dingy and dark inside, but decent place if you're just looking to watch the game. Sizable number of TV's and rowdyness ensues.

Yelp
Ahhh, good old Coach's...want to stay away from Santana Row's $12.00 martinis? Well, come to Coach's...they are a nice dive bar that has been around for I don't know how long. We have been coming here off and on for more than 8 or 9 years, I'd say. Whenever my husband and I are craving a pitcher of beer or even just a few drinks, we may end up at Coach's on a Friday or Saturday evening. Some nights they have live music, karaoke, or even a DJ...which is all more enjoyable than staring at a bunch of t.v. screens full of ESPN, in my opinion. The bartenders and bouncers will, guaranteed, eventually recognize you if come at least three weeks in a row...lol. Thanks Coach's for always keeping up a good establishment for the residents of Fremont!

Yelp
Most unprofessional staff ever! They have this overweight woman who is a bar tender there and she is extremely rude and unprofessional. "not trying to be rude I just don't know her name and would love the owner to get a good understanding of who I'm talking about." The woman who clearly worked there was not only rude to me MANY times she was also starting fights with customers and I'm not the only one who watched this go down. I saw the whole thing and honestly I would be embarrassed to know I have people like this working for me if I was the owner. Also she was so busy worrying about causing drama that she basically ripped your establishment off because my bill which should have been about 200 was only $27 dollars haha WIN for me LOSS for the owner. I hope you fire this woman because she is not good for business.
