Portland’s 2019 Restaurant and Bar Closings - Eater Portland

"Coalition Brewing, a decade-old smaller Portland brewery, was bought by brand new brewery Gorges Beer Co., and was immediately shut down on October 31." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Portland Restaurants and Cafes Serving CBD Coffees, Juices and more - Eater Portland

"Coalition made a big splash with its Two Flowers IPA, a CBD-infused West Coast IPA. You can spot Two Flowers at bars and taphouses around town — River Pig Saloon and EastBurn Public House, for instance — but you can return to the spot where the magic happened for a beer on its new, hip patio." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Relaxing hip environment that you come to expect from a Portland brewery. Small family friendly style with beer only. Food is everywhere and a short walk away. Outside seating only. Friendly and inviting staff and a great covered outside patio door and weather. Excellent beer selection that is always rotating. Prices are fair. Some growler and bottles to go too.

When we were here, there were maybe eight beers on tap. Their maple Porter was really good and not at all sweet (I think I was afraid of drinking maple syrup with Porter flavor). The covered patio is perfect for nearly any weather. The only downside is the lack of food, but there's plenty of food in the area so it's more of a convenience issue.

Great outdoor seating and good beer. Their wheat ale was a favorite of mine, it was probably the best I've had! Although the place did seem a little small.

Awesome evening at Coalition! Tons of food options within walking distance, and truly outstanding beer. It is a well contained area, so our little guy was able to walk around without us being constantly worried that he would run off. Well balanced beers at very reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff, we will definitely be back!

Love this brewery! The beer selection rotates weekly(ish) with their signature beers always on tap. Their CBD beers are awesome! My personal favorite is the hazy IPA, so good! There isn’t indoor seating, but the patio area is covered and there are board games to choose from. There’s also corn hole, which is super fun. I take all my friends to this brewery. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great beer and a good time.

Some of the pictures on Google maps show a restaurant but that's not the case. I think the pictures are of a tap House down the street. The brewery doesn't have any inside seating and doesn't serve food. They have a huge patio and a small area inside that you order drinks from. There is a great selection of beer and the patio is kid and pet friendly. We really enjoyed our time here. I'll definitely come back.

This is a cozy tap house serving some amazing beers. Some of which are brewed with CBD which studies show many great benefits. Along with the great beer they have friendly staff and one of the owners can be very passionate about his the flavors he's going for in his beer. They are great people.

A little crowded when we showed up at 6:30 on a Wednesday, and it was getting a little chilly with the front door open, but... Service was quite good, I got the tasty beer I was expecting, but I was *bowled over* by the roast cod. I know you've pretty much gotta serve decent food to stick around in Portland, but this was exceptional. Crispy breading shell, nicely cooked, served on super-flavorful, slightly smokey(?) stewed veggies... Coalition is totally a worthy part of the embarrassment of riches we have in Portland.
