"Coalition’s breadth of seafood options and hearty steaks and sandwiches make for what’s guaranteed to be a meal that will leave you full. Located within a jovial space designed for connection over food, you’ll feel right at home and want to linger long after you finish. Try the CF double stack burger or share the seared branzino with the table. Start with some warm goat cheese dip or smoked wings." - Alex Leo-Guerra

"Brothers Ryan and Dan Pernice have sold their lone downtown Alpharetta restaurant Coalition Food and Beverage. The restaurant was sold to Ana Leddon and chef Ruben Sequra. Coalition’s menu centered on burgers, sandwiches, steak entrees, and desserts like a banana split. The Pernice brothers opened Coalition Food and Beverage in 2018 as a classic American diner on Canton Street in Alpharetta. It’s unclear what Leddon and Sequra have planned for the menu at Coalition in the future or if any changes are in store for the space." - Beth McKibben

"This family friendly establishment in Alpharetta offers an incredible brunch menu independent of its bar. Fairly unassuming from the outside, Coalition is turning out an exceptional bloody mary. The spicy mix is made with a combination of tomato and pickle juice. Served in a large goblet, their bloody mary is garnished with a piece of tabasco and sorghum cured bacon, a smoked salt rim, asparagus spears, and celery." - Ryan Hughley

The atmosphere is great. It was not overly crowded but reservations are a must. The service was excellent. Bryan was fantastic! He gave great recommendations and checked on us frequently. The food is impeccable. 10/10 best oysters in Georgia. Dinner and brunch both are great times to eat.

Google
Great food. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended a reservation. Keep going back and plan to go for brunch. Wouldn’t recommend the strawberry cheesecake. Odd tasting. Everything else is outstanding, especially the lobster salad and stuffed shrimp.

Google
Great food and great service. Dillon, our server, was very warm, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. I would choose to have him a hundred times over, Any day, any restaurant. He really knew his stuff when it came to the menu and he was really just so warm and caring. And I love that the menu was very extensive, even tho some may find that overwhelming. I like having lots of options.... I'm only giving 4 stars because the restaurant was very cold and we went in mid January. The AC was blasting. Also, the food is a bit overpriced.... but the taste is pretty good so we tried to overlook it. Would definitely return

Hubby and I went today to celebrate his birthday. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back. The service was amazing...from the hostess to our waiter. The food was absolutely delicious. The peach waffle tasted like it was made in heaven🤣🥰. Even though we live in McDonough (about an hour away) we will definitely be back! This just became one of our favorite restaurants. 🥰🥰

Google
We had seafood bisque and bourbon street pasta, paired with cocktails- Old Fashion and Pink Sea Foam. The food was amazing! And that wasn't the best part- the service was PHENOMENAL! Sheila provides the perfect balance of professionalism, excellent customer service, and comfort. She truly set the tone for a wonderful evening! Absolutely EXCELLENT! And Juan did not disappoint with his table service- from his expertise in covering the menu to his attention (without hovering) to our dining needs, Juan was amazing. We cannot wait to return!!

I dined at Coalition for my birthday dinner & it was absolutely wonderful. The food was beyond amazing and the portions were really good! The Lychee martini was THE BEST that I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back! 🥰

Google
I came for the king crab legs and the chargrilled oysters. They did not disappoint. The service and music were on point as well. Ask for Dylan. He and the server assistant who provided water gave great service with a smile. I will be back!!🎉

Monday, December 16th, 2024 my daughter and I went to Coalition Steak & Seafood in Alpharetta for the very first time. Our server was Dylan. Honestly, since I’ve relocated from NJ, this restaurant is one of the few that I absolutely think deserves 5 stars. Outside of their silverware needing a little more attention for cleanliness; Dylan made our experience unmatched. He was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. If he didn’t know, he quickly returned with the answers. Although not his fault, he apologized for the silverware all the while keeping a smile on his face. The food was hot, fresh and delightful. We will definitely return and bring family members. The bill was high but worth every penny.

Yelp
Very Tasty Very delicious It's 10/10 From parking to ambience, I highly recommend this location

Yelp
I visited Coalition with friends in Alpharetta & it was a very nice experience! I ordered an Expresso Martini & the New Beignet & Eggs breakfast with bacon! Everything was very good! The bacon was nice and crispy & beignets were fresh! The caramel sauce is also very good! Service was outstanding! Our waitress was very pleasant & made great suggestions, I hate I forgot his name. Overall, I would definitely revisit Coalition!

Yelp
Lovely little restaurant in downtown Alpharetta. Came here as a last minute reservation for the New Year and they were so accommodating to squeeze me in and alter our amount of people! We came for dinner and drinks and the service and food was phenomenal. Shout out to Andres L., the taller Andres- he helped us all night and gave us the best service! The champagne offered was great and such a great deal at only $30 a bottle and their burrata was nice and creamy and I love that they provided extra bread for us. I opted for something light, so I got the beet salad with shrimp. While prices are a little on the more expensive side- you get a lot of the added protein and you pay for the environment. I'll definitely be back! A very cute date night spot.

Yelp
My party of 3 made a same-day reservation for 7:45 PM. We were able to find street parking and there's a free parking deck across the street from the restaurant (near Police station); avoid parking at the attached garage, which is for residents of the apartments above the restaurant. The hostess was kind to walk outside and point me in the direction of the correct parking area. We enjoyed the sounds of a live band while dining. We started with the Cajun crab dip; it was okay, tasted more like a cheese dip with some crab on top of the dip. We also had drinks; the first sangria was very sweet, the second sangria was well balanced in sweetness and wine content, and the old fashioned was pretty good just not much in volume. We ordered a ribeye medium-well and added a lobster tail, broiled fisherman plate, and shrimp tacos with fries. The steak needed additional cook time to reach desired preparation. The broiled fisherman plate contained 4 shrimp, 2 scallops, and a half piece of salmon; this dish was mostly potatoes, yet it cost $48, not worth the price in my opinion. The side of bourbon street pasta was pretty good. The fries lacked salt. I was disappointed they were out of caramel apple cheesecake, but they did offer a birthday treat--two scoops of vanilla ice cream with a sparkler along with singing the birthday song. Overall, this restaurant was pricey for its casual vibes. The service, food, and drinks are all pretty good; I would consider visiting again if I am in the area.

Yelp
I recently visited while visiting my sister and had a mixed experience. We started with the oysters sampler, and we absolutely inhaled them as soon as they hit the table. I ordered the Broiled Fisherman Plate with Cajun rice, and the rice was definitely a highlight--flavorful and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, some of the seafood was a bit overcooked, which was a letdown. The real star of the dish, though, was the sauce, it was so good that I ended up asking for more. My sister got the Bourbon Street Pasta with a lobster tail, and she also mentioned that the lobster was overcooked, which was disappointing. However, the cocktails were fantastic, and we really enjoyed those. Overall, while I left a little underwhelmed by the main dishes, I would definitely come back for the oysters and cocktails. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Worth another visit to try more oysters and cocktails!

Yelp
Coalition has become one of my go-to spots for oysters, so when I had a craving, I made the drive. Along with the oysters, I ordered the truffle fries, which are off the menu but absolutely delicious. I opted for a half-dozen charcoal oysters topped with garlic, butter, and parmesan cheese, as well as a half-dozen Gulf oysters served raw with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon. The Oysters Rockefeller, topped with spinach, bacon, onion, and a spicy parmesan cream, were another great choice. To top it off, I ordered the oyster sampler, which includes two chargrilled, two supreme, and two Rockefeller oysters. Every oyster was incredible, just as I remembered from my first visit--Coalition never disappoints. The service is always impeccable, and the drinks are consistently fantastic. I love their cocktails, and the fact that they frequently offer a special menu that changes often and never fails to impress. I can't wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Traveled for this spot. It's been on my places to try for a while.. so my friends took me on a late bday outing. We enjoyed the food soooo much! I'm not an oysters fan but my friends said that they were reallyyyyy good! My fish dish was amazing too, but the star was that $150 platter. The sauce they have to go with the seafood? Chefs kiss!!!

Yelp
I checked out Coalition in Alpharetta for a late lunch and it did not disappoint. This place is amazing and really peaceful. I dined outside and enjoyed the views. I tried the regular chargrilled oysters, oysters rockefeller, fried green tomatoes, sea bass, and lychee marrini. My fave items were def the chargrilled oysters and the fried green tomatoes, which came with a delicious crawfish sauce. The sea bass was good, but note that it has a fried texture. The sea bass was paired with broccolini and mashed potatoes. I ordered the lychee martini, but replaced the vodka with reposado. The drink was really good and came with cute edible lychee bubbles.

Nina K.

Yelp
My gf and I had dinner at this restaurant after seeing it on IG. I'm so glad we went, it was amazing! Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I love that they also have an outside area with an open window bar. I gave them 5 stars for food deliciousness, amazing drinks, location, and friendly staff.

Crystal H.

Yelp
This is my second time here and i have to say the best oysters I've had! The creole are my favorite! Very large pieces of crab on them and the vodka sauce is very tasty. The fisherman's treat was my favorite so far. The branzino was ok very fresh however a tad more lemon than i prefer. My cousin had the pasta and she thought it was spicy but for m it was very tasty as well. The pink lemon drop is very good and gets you just right (I'm a light weight). The patio is very nice and has heated lamps. The interior is nice also! Nothing to complain about here. Each time I've had great staff. Thanks Mia C!

Roxy H.

Yelp
I mean this place was cute don't get me wrong. Definitely a neighborhood go to I could tell. Very friendly! We had excellent customer service but had a very busy and therefore forgetful waitress. We tried the grilled oysters, the crab dip, branzino fish and the shrimp skillet. Nothing amazing but definitely flavorful and delicious. The food does have flavor the other reviews kind of scared me a bit. If I lived near Alpharetta I would try this out! If not, you may pass several other seafood places that may be better, wouldn't make a special trip. I enjoyed my meal, the outside ambiance and the live music!

Yelp
A friend heard this spot was good so we decided to try it out for brunch. She was able to secure a reservation for the next day (Sunday) for a party of 5. I arrived early. I am that person that thinks if you are early you are on time and if you are on time you are late. I don't even know why I am like this, but I like to think it's a good trait! Since I was early I sat at the entrance to wait for the others in my party. Once they arrived we were immediately seated. The first thing to note is that the space is tight. We were in very close proximity to the other tables. We actually had to say excuse me to get past the other guest to go to the restroom. I can't recall our wait staff name, but I do know he works there part time and manages another restaurant. He was a great server. He got all the orders correct and even took some time to engage in some small talk with our group. He had a pleasant demeanor and did a great job. I ordered the lobster sandwich for my meal. Other items ordered included, but were not limited to French toast, shrimp and grits, and oysters. My lobster sandwich exceeded my expectation. I was impressed with the amount of lobster on the sandwich. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Everyone enjoyed their foods. The majority of our party came from Cobb county. Despite the distance from home we all agreed we would return.

Kisha M.

Yelp
Coalition is my favorite restaurant in downtown Alpharetta. The food and drinks are great and I love the vibe. They have a cute space that would be great for a small private dinner. Loved the music. Stop in and tell Sheila I sent you!

Dixine H.

Yelp
I saw a dish made by this restaurant on IG and decided to try them out to see if it was worth the hype. Now before you try this seafood platter, be aware that it's a $200 dish and it's soooo not worth the price (sorry!) the sauce is good and all, but not $200 good lol. The drinks are strong and good, I haven't tried any other dish, but if u do try them out, skip this platter and try something else.

Shongretta W.

Yelp
Had a wonderful night at Coalition to celebrate National Oyster Day. Rose was an exceptional server and she understood the menu backwards and forwards. We definitely ate majority of the oysters on the menu, raw, grilled, supreme, and blue point. All were delicious. The supreme were a bit heavy, and we all agreed it was too much filling for such a small oyster. The fish and chips were delicious, but the breading kept falling off. So it may have been a batter issue. Also, the fish and chips were 3 filets instead of the large piece of fish in other photos. The peel and eat shrimp were great but wouldn't order again. That's because the crab cake was so good I wish I ordered two instead of the shrimp. The kids enjoyed the crab legs and lemon pepper wings. Smoked wings definitely taste better than fried and I'd order takeout for a football Sunday. Found a new favorite restaurant in Alpharetta and highly recommend.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Good looking restaurant with overpriced and just ok food. Drove about 45 mins after seeing this place online. Had the $26 crab dip which was mostly cheese sauce onions n peppers with a sprinkling of crab. Also had the bourbon street pasta with added lobster tail. $60 pasta was just ok and the lobster tail was so tiny. $200+ bill for 2 people and they brought out plastic "thank you" bags for our leftovers lol! Drinks were good! And that's about it. Won't be back.

Kayla M.

Yelp
Went during Wire and Wood Festival!! So many people enjoying the music and having a great time. Made reservations at the bar. Tip to manager I recommend when there is a reservation at the bar to place signs at the stools so folks don't sit down and get upset when told to move. But besides that the fun began!!!!!! Ordered the Charred Oysters. Well flavored and large !!! Meaty and delicious. And we wanted the Bronzino but all sold out. ... another tip,.. kitchen staff tell your bartenders so they know lol Disappointed completely went away when we tasted our second choice the grilled 2x lobster tails. So buttery served with fingerling potatoes with grilled broccolini!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! And the drinks we drank you ask...... Japanese Maple Whiskey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 in total!!! So amazing. Great service. Even though it was madness with allill of Alpharetta outside. The staff stayed friendly and attentive. Can't wait to return

Yelp
Parking Downtown Alpharetta, we were lucky to get street parking. There is also a parking deck across from Coalition. Restaurant The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. Jazz music playing in the background. Nice for a date. Decor is nice. Food I ordered the Cajun crab dip for my entree. Quite a bit of crab meat on top. The actual dip was tasty. The heavy cream and Parmesan cheese were prominent. My preference would be to have the dip a little more thick. But I would definitely order it again. My spouse ordered the roasted Maine lobster. A whole lobster. Very tasty, not a lot of seasoning, but good. We also ordered the brown sugar old fashioned. OMG the bourbon was in this drink. Overall this is a nice restaurant. We will definitely be back and try other items.

Frederick J.

Yelp
I love this place! Excellent food and great ambiance. Service has always been great based on my three visits. Price point for dinner is higher than desired but comparable to driving into the city and dining. Looking forward to going back. As for what to order, Bourbon St Pasta, chargrilled oysters, and shrimp poboy are my favorites.

J B.

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our 7th anniversary dinner at Coalition. The food was fantastic - definitely 5 quality. Our server was impeccable, truly a seasoned professional. The atmosphere was welcoming. Well lit with your choice of indoor and outdoor seating. We plan to return for brunch in the near future.

Attiya K.

Yelp
Wonderful brunch and dinner spot in downtown Alpharetta. The food was excellent! We ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits off of the brunch menu and Baja shrimp tacos after the dinner menu. We had calamari and lobster dip as appetizers. There is street parking and a deck around the corner. Indoor and outdoor seating is great! The silverware was a little dirty and because the doors were open for the outdoor seating there were several flies in and out around the tables. Our server Carla was great! She gave us great recommendations and checked in on us as well.

Jim B.

Yelp
Outstanding experience. Large group of us in the back, Curtis handled us with ease. From drinks to apps to entrees, all amazing. I had a quick beer at the bar before dinner, very friendly and helpful! Go here! I'll be back! Thank you!

Krystle W.

Yelp
We had a reservation and still didn't get seated for 45min. The place is pretty small so there was nowhere to sit and wait and the bar area was already full as well. Upon being seated we were offered a free appetizer for the inconvenience and apologies about the wait. The food was excellent minus the specials listed on the board not being available at all and were also just posted on the IG as if they were current. I had the redfish it was great, the sauce with the branzino was excellent as well. The waiter rarely checked on us and when he spoke to us would face the opposite direction so it was hard to hear him, but he knew a 20% gratuity was already added so guess he didn't care. The food will make me go back but maybe when it's warmer and outside is open.

Joyrina H.

Yelp
Met some friends for dinner and drinks as I have been wanting to try this restaurant. I was greeted by the host opening the door which I liked. I had a time deciding on a drink but was very pleased with my decision to get the Strawberry Beez Kneez which was light, refreshing and very smooth for a afternoon drink. For my dinner I went with the Cream Garlic Seafood Pasta which was so good. It had a little spicy kick but very tolerable and rich was flavor. My friends had wine and ordered Chicken Piccata & Blackened Redfish which they also enjoyed. I would definitely recommend as it was a nice ambiance to dine.

Yelp
A wonderful Saturday night on the patio listening to music by an incredible guy (one man band). Started w/char grilled oysters cooked and seasoned to perfection. Who needs NOLA when Coalition has got it Down! Next enjoyed a grilled shrimp Caesar Salad which pleased my palate. My friend enjoyed her lobster roll w/warm garlic butter accompanied by a small wedge salad adorned with blue cheese crumbles, slices of red onion, chopped tomatoes topped with crispy bacon bits. A real delicacy. The service was spot on and attentive w/o hovering. Thanks to all for a Great Evening! Will Be Back.

Yelp
I think downtown Alpharetta has a problem. The restaurants are starting to price themselves out of business. Butcher Brew and South Main are now gone with Lapeer probably soon to come. I have a feeling this one isn't far behind. Food here is decent but, prices keep getting jacked up. Service is decent too. Standard and Central city offer a great bar atmosphere that is reasonable for the area. Area needs to figure out what works and realize you can't be all things to all people

Tamera S.

Yelp
After drooling over rit on instagram, we decided to come on a Sunday at noon and was very suprised to be seated immediately for a table of 5. We got lucky because it got super busy afterwards. The hostess was really kind and accommodating. For lunch, we ordered the chargrilled seafood platter, Cajun crab dip, crab cakes, kids chicken tenders, pasta, oyster sampler, lobster Cobb salad and a few drinks. Everything was so delish! My favorite was probably the chargrilled oysters. My only complaint is that the a majority of oysters were overly cooked until they were pretty much non existent and inedible. The good pieces were sooo good. I hate to be complicated so I didn't feel like complaining, but maybe I should have because we spent like 500+ dollars. Aside from that, service was great and it was well worth the 1+ hour drive. I would definitely come back if I am ever in town. If the food wasn't overcooked, I may have given them 5 stars.

Yelp
I recently dined at Coalition Food and Beverage in Alpharetta, GA, and it was an exceptional experience. We ordered the Fried Grouper, Country Skillet, and Blackened Grouper, and I must say, this is the only restaurant where we clear our plates every time. The Blackened Grouper was perfectly seasoned and cooked, with a delightful balance of spices and a tender, flaky texture. The accompanying vegetables and sauce added a wonderful burst of flavor to the dish. The Fried Grouper was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, just the way we like it. The Country Skillet was hearty and flavorful, offering a comforting, homestyle meal that was simply delicious. Our server, Desire, was amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her excellent service enhanced our dining experience.Overall, Coalition Food and Beverage in Alpharetta is a must-visit. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Waited on a Saturday evening (prime time) to dine at the bar because we didn't make reservations. Food was excellent and arrived hot and correct. Bar tender was extremely busy, so service was just okay. Many other items on menu I would like to try. But definitely need to book reservations for next time.

Roz J.

Yelp
Ambiance: coffee shop charms with a bright and inviting atmosphere, making it ideal for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment. Service: self-service. The pastries were out and cold. Requested to warm up, but they refused Menu Variety: While the focus was on coffee, there was a good selection of pastries, sandwiches, and light snacks to accompany the drinks. Vegetarian options were also available. Atmosphere: Casual and relaxed, fostering a sense of community. It's a great spot for both work and leisure, with comfortable seating and a laid-back vibe.

Aaron W.

Yelp
Saturday day date night @coalition. I was brought here due to the stuffed oysters with lobster and crab. We ordered the oysters that were stuffed and they were delicious. Are they worth $40 for 6 oysters probably not. My wife ordered 12-16 oysters and she loved them. For my main, I ordered the burger and it was just okay. Overall, it's a nice place, good service and pricey.

Michele L.

Yelp
Awesome new menu! Always a must stop for us when we are in downtown Alpharetta. Make sure you ask for Curtis as your waiter! He was phenomenal!

Yelp
Great way to start the New Year! First time here and I'll definitely be returning! SERVICE 10/10 FOOD 9/10 AESTHETIC 9/10 Everything was tasty. The garlic steamed spinach was a tad bland, but I mixed it with my mashed potatoes and it was fine. Our server (i forgot his name) was delightful and patient with us. The french toast, grits, chicken , waffles, chargrilled oysters, beignets and drinks were BOMB! I definitely recommend trying this spot if you're in the area.

Blake W.

Yelp
I met a friend here for lunch in Downtown Alpharetta. It isn't on the Main Street, but just about a block behind. There is free parking in a parking deck just across the street, so no issues there. It was relatively quiet for lunch. The ambiance is casual, but definitely on the nicer side of casual. Think business casual not T-shirts and shorts. Our server attended to us very quickly. She was attentive and very polite. The menu is quite large, with a vast selection of American fair. There is a lunch special menu that had some very compelling options, and I ordered the shrimp po-boy from the lunch menu. With fries, $17.99 which isn't bad. I debated getting the hot lobster roll, but at $32, I could not stomach that much for a lunch sandwich. The po-boy and fries were good. Nothing amazing. I'm from New Orleans so I am a little biased. The shrimp were great, but the bread was a little too hard for my liking. That said, they have a large menu, solid choices, solid food and very good service in one of my favorite areas in metro Atlanta. I'll be back I am sure.

Maquinta K.

Yelp
This place has been on my list of places to try for a while. I was supposed to go with a friend so I made reservations to be safe. They canceled so I canceled the reservations. I still planned to go; hoping to find a seat at the bar. I got there and it was completely packed (good idea on the reservations)! There was a more experienced hostess at the front (I wish I had gotten her name, but black lady with short hair). She told me not to wait for a table because they were booked up but I told her I didn't see any seating at the bar. She walked me over and FOUND me a seat. From the time I entered, she treated me like family! I ordered a tide margarita and the snow crab and shrimp pasta. It was AMAZING!!! The venue had an array of Christmas music playing, not just your typical stuffy Christmas music; all kinds. They had a college football game playing on the tv. The atmosphere wasn't too loud. Everything was great. I will be back to try the chargrilled oysters that were recommended to me by other patrons in the restaurant. WELL DONE COALITION!

Yelp
Hubs and I took our babe out for brunch this morning and we had a great time. The service was fantastic and the food was really good. I love the variety of the brunch offerings and we were able to order some apps from the dinner menu, too. Today we ordered the following: Espresso Martini ($13) Frittata ($20) Lobster Tostada ($30) Cheddar Cheese Grits ($6) Chargrilled Oysters - half dozen ($20) Oysters Rockefeller - half dozen ($20) Both sets of oysters were so satisfying. Loved the addition of the grilled lemon, too. The cheese grits and the frittata were phenomenal! The lobster tostada was good, but I wouldn't order it again. There are so many yummy things on the menu I'd rather try something different. I didn't love the - what seemed like jarred - salsa on the bottom. The fresh salsa on top was lovely though. Just needed some salt and perhaps a sauce with a little zip to it. We had a lovely (and tasty) morning out and will definitely be back soon. Love so much that Coalition now serves seafood!

Yelp
Food was good-my portion was tiny . A little cold (although they remade it-it wasn't that crowded either)‍ Service was slo- lady seemed not present during the time we were present. Ambiance--nice lil spot to hang out and enjoy the scenery and food I took my Sister for her birthday. She barely ate and the bill was $110! She will get fast food next time. I'll probably return and try something different

Danielle G.

Yelp
Excited to try this place based on the reviews and recommendations of close friends. I was greatly underwhelmed. We decided to make reservations for Mother's Day. We arrived at our scheduled time and only had about a 15 min wait, which was not bad considering it was pretty busy. We sat down and had about another 15 min wait before being acknowledged by a server. We ordered the chargrilled oysters as an appetizer, they were edible, but lacked flavor. For my entree I got the Broiled Fisherman Plate. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but what was served was not it. It was two scallops, a couple of shrimp and a small piece of salmon on top of a bed of fingerling potatoes and broccoli, with some unidentifiable sauce. The seafood was cooked well, but it was such a small serving for such a big price. The potatoes also seemed to be undercooked. This dish lacked flavor as well. My husband ordered a burger, medium. It was cooked beyond well done, almost burnt. We did let the waitress know and she apologized and had the chef make another burger to go, that was much better and cooked as desired. We ordered kid's meals for our children. Chicken tender platters and mac and cheese, both of which they enjoyed. May attempt to try them again, maybe when they aren't as busy and the food has more flavor.

Kristen H.

Yelp
We always enjoy coming to Coalition! We used to come when it first opened, but enjoy it even more now that the menu is more expansive. Food was great! We ordered the shrimp tacos and the spicy chicken sandwich, finished by chocolate cheesecake. Most recently we had Curtis as our server and he was super friendly and attentive. We will be back!

The food was BLAND! The grits were undercooked. For the price we paid for entrees, it was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. The drinks, however, were phenomenal. We had an espresso martini and Bloody Mary. The atmosphere and service was impeccable. Very attentive and welcoming. Really had high hopes for this restaurant as we paid a pretty penny and the ambiance was very upscale.

Yelp
The restaurant has bright lights Like a fast food place. It is not a nice ambiance for a special date. The food and watered-down alcohol drinks are over-priced and portions are skimpy (i.e. bang-bang shrimp and chicken were hard-fried small 6 baby shrimp and small 6 scraps of chicken breast..for price , it should have been 4 plump 4-inch chicken fingers and giant shrimp) . Table of four came to over $400.(food, taxes and auto-added 20% gratuity AND I gave Extra 25% Tip). The waiter tried his best to be funny (he was not). Also Re: The Chef(s)..What part of Rare, Mediuam, Medium-Rare , Medium Well does He NOT UNDERSTAND??? ?? Red Meat comes to table Well-Done No matter how you asked for it....Never again

Yelp
I'm only giving 3 stars because the food was actually amazing but the service was utterly deplorable! I specifically came here because I wanted to try the happy hour and the lobster chargrilled oysters that's trending on instagram! I arrive at 3:45 as the happy hour here is 3-6. We sat outside bar. I asked about the happy hour menu and the bar tender on 9/27 said happy hour doesn't start till 4. (Wrong) . Her personality wasn't inviting nor was she open to answering general questions so I reframed from ordering a main course. I asked about the lobster oysters that was trending online and she was completely clueless and said it was old and maybe seasonal. Which is false advertising considering the company literally posted the video the same day. But I digress. I asked about the drink cocktail options on the happy hour menu she mentioned it was only hard seltzer not real cocktails. Another red flag. Sorry mam that's considered a beer. It's Not what they had listed on the site: so I ordered a rum style punch at regular price and it lacked liquor. Now for the food. The wing was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked and seasoned I was in love! 5-5 Calamari was bland and flavorless 2-5 Chargrilled oysters perfectly smoked 5-5! I will absolutely return for the food but the service..... fire your staff . Hire a new group! No reason why this establishment is losing sells due to the lack of service! It's not fair to the owners bc this place has extraordinary potential !

Yelp
Wonderful experience as always, took my BFF for her birthday as she was first timer and I want to make sure it's exceptional. We wanted a great food, ambience and service to be top notch and it was. Very pleased with as special touch - candle and birthday song. Thank you all. Will be back!

Yelp
We dined here from out of town while visiting family and this was the perfect weekend brunch spot! The mimosa was balanced, and our appetizers were tasty. We did pretzel bites and a flatbread. My main was the chicken and waffles. The waffle was perfectly fluffy, the chicken fried crispy but inside was juicy, and the fruit added a good touch to balance. Our server was attentive and came by often, but didn't hover. The inside is a little industrial but also classy. It made for a fun place to dress up a little and have a good meal. The surrounding downtown area was so cute to walk through and landscaped so nicely for the summer. The only con is the parking situation, especially on a weekend at peak brunch hours. It is all street parking from what I recall and it fills up fast with all the different places hopping on a weekend. We got lucky with a couple good spots to park, but keep that in mind if you can not walk distances, up/down a slight hill, or are differently abled. While I'm not from the area and can't say when I'll be back, once my plane lands I'm headed to Coalition!

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday on Saturday, July 6th with my family. The staff at the hostest stand greeted us with a warm, friendly hello and we where seated quickly. I recommend make a reservation, they were very busy. Our server was Dillion, very nice, explained the menu and told us about the specials. His service was exceptional, constantly checking on our drinks and food. All our appetizers and entrees were perfectly cooked and nicely presented. He brought me a birthday dessert with sparkling candle, that put the icing on the cake. The Manager Sheila walked around the dining room checking each table for food quality and service. Very nice restaurant overall, we will be back and highly recommend. Crystal Brown

Yelp
Just had an amazing experience at Coalition Food and Beverage. The food was outstanding and so was the customer service. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Also, the manager Sheila greeted us with a smile and made sure we were seated promptly. We will definitely return.

Yelp
The dining experience was pristine and their process is very smooth. It was very busy, so they have great crowd control. The food came out quick. My server placed the wrong entree in for me and quickly. He had the right dish prepared. The oysters and the entrees were the highlights. The dessert was okay but I'm very much into cheesecake, so I'm a little judgmental. It was a hike for us to get here but I would go back.

Yelp
The food, service, entertainment and atmosphere were amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Food Appetizer - Crab dip (bad) Main course - Dungeness crab and brussels sprouts (amazing) Lobster tail with broccoli and mashed potatoes (amazing) The crab dip wasn't flavorful and bland nor made with proper cheese sauce and bread. Barely any crab meat, a waste of money, and won't try again Compared to the photos I've seen, there's no cheese on top or toasted either Drinks- Meomi (good) Mimosa flight (good) Service Attentiveness (horrifying) Food time management (horrifying) Drink time management (horrifying) Overall execution (horrifying) Originally we didn't have a waiter or anyone helping our table and a young lady decided to stop and started helping us. I appreciated it and she was nice but it wasn't her table. She started off to a good start by receiving our drinks and helping us order from the main menu. I was excited because I drove an hour to try the Dungeness garlic crab. After 1.5 hours we finally received the horrible dip, if it hadn't taken another 2 hours I wouldn't have eaten it. I was starving because I hadn't eaten the entire day. Once we received the dip, there was another 1.5 -2 hours before we received the main dishes. If we weren't catching up, talking, and drinking then the time wouldn't have flown by. The manager finally came by and was pleasant and told us that there was a delay with preparing and managing during a holiday. She tried to accommodate me with drinks and I was understanding because I was trying to have a great day. I would have preferred for the meals to be compensated. To be fair, it still took hours and not minutes, so from the stance of a consumer the execution and delivery were fulfilled effectively. In passing I noticed others received their orders with ease but I tried not to complain because I was trying to have a good day and attitude. For this experience, I only gave 2 stars because the cons outweighed the pros. I will try them again because the main course was amazing but on another day and bar to eliminate the waiters and because they may just had issues for the holiday. Feedback to the business, work on managing each table time delivery, and consistency are key with food and service. There may be applications that can be used by management to monitor the wait time and delivery. There should be mitigation plans to ensure that there are potential risks and concerns.
