Coast Dishes Restaurant

Very poor! I found a black rusty nail in my chicken pilau! Currently at the hospital doing a check up and/or possibly get a tetanus shot. This must not go unnoticed. The FDA will hear about this!

The service was horrible! We had to wait for soooo long yet the restaurant is not busy and the food is prepared already. The tables were not cleaned after every other customer, the staff was slow we asked for napkins but never got them. We called her thrice to bring us the bill she never did. We eventually had to go look for her as we were walking out. Poor poor service. Oh and the food is already prepared and it was cold.

I really loved the food. It was really delicious. The portions are huge, and can easily feed 2 per plate. However, the customer service and cleanliness was lacking. No serviettes on the tables, too many flies, empty plates on neighboring tables not being attended to promptly and food on the floors etc. They should really improve on that . I would prefer it if it was an open air restaurant rather than how it is now. No TV/Entertainment. Maybe the vibe would have been different. But that delicious food 🥘 made up for the shortcomings! Will visit again.

1) chicken pilau is the best food you can have there. Plus their passion fresh juice 2) the chicken biryani is not too nice 3) Waiters are too slow

Excellent traditional food. The prices are so affordable and the quantity is huge you will probably do a take away for the next day. Very popular with the locals and tourists. Strongly recommend you go there for good authentic local food.

Tasty chicken biryani with tamarind juice. If your looking for authentic swahili food, cheap and no fuss, this is your spot! And i mean no fuss! Alot of the locals have their lunch here- Big portions too! Always come back, coz i miss that thick yummy coastal dish.

The fries weren't shaped well and they were too crunchy .The other food is amazing mostly their beef Biriani and their pilau . Their tamarind juice is a 10 everyone should try it.

Service was terrible and it took forever for our table to be cleaned so we had to stare at dead flies and dirty dishes for 30 minutes. But you know what they say about not very clean spaces producing great tastes(or maybe not). When the food finally came, it was great....at least the pilau was....don't order the biriani please, not good at all. They have good fish too!
