We came across Lan y Mor via Google while on holiday and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. A lovely warm welcome set the tone, the menu was explained clearly and we went with their recommendation of the tomahawk steak—it was cooked and seasoned to perfection!! The desserts were just as impressive, and the after-dinner chocolate mint espresso martini was absolutely incredible! Overall, a fantastic evening that we will be recommending!

We had a superb & faultless experience at Lan y Mor today. The customer service was impeccable, the food sublime and the location perfect. We were well looked after from the time we arrived, to the time we left. The staff even came to our rescue when the heavens opened & there was a very heavy shower and moved us inside to the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Great atmosphere and we highly recommend Lan y Mor for locals and tourists alike.

We stopped here for Sunday lunch. The food is very good. I had the ox cheek chilli, which was excellent. My partner had the Welsh lamb rump. The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. It’s a bit more expensive than the other restaurants in Saundersfoot, but the quality of the ingredients and the preparation are excellent. If you are looking for a special meal out then you won’t be disappointed. It ended up about £45 a head for a family of 4.

Food is only marked down as I felt like the tuna burger was slightly overcooked (would have liked it to be slightly pink in the middle?) and the waffle needed a bit more of a description next to it on the menu. We knew it would be small as it was only £2, but wasn’t expecting it to be more like a waffle you put on your coffee to melt. The happy anniversary card was a really lovely touch. Will 100% recommend to others and will be returning.

We have had 2 lovely celebration meals here, a birthday and anniversary. The decor is lovely and the restaurant is light thanks to the thoughtful design and big windows overlooking the beach. Attention to detail means by use of a mirror even if your back is to the sea you still get to enjoy the view. The food is flavoursome, and there is a choice of small plates to share or a normal sized main. With all the different flavours, I pick small plates to try various items and have not been disappointed. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The whole atmosphere here is attention to detail. The toilets are clean. There is a carpark next to location and wheelchair ramp upto main entrance which is at 1st floor level.

What a beautiful and stunningly located restaurant! The menu although initially limited on the amount of items on it, actually fulfils all your needs. There are 3 or 4 options in each section and the vegetarian options were quite inviting, as a meat eater. The deserts were also really nice and all of a very high standard. A perfect place to have that special meal, with the beautiful back drop of Poppet Sands and the bay behind you. You might not know where to concentrate your gaze, on the beautiful food, the wonderful views or your company. All pretty reasonable prices and the drinks are also very good, with a substantive wine menu to choose from. We highly recommend for that special occasion

Our lovely B&B hosts recommended this place and I am so glad we took their suggestion! We were worried because when I tried to book a table, my phone was glitching and saying only waitlist was available, and then it wouldn’t let me put us on that either. We came anyway and were welcomed warmly and, to our delight, seated immediately! Tried local drinks to get started: Chasing the Sun Hazy Pale Ale and Strawberry & Lime Cider. Ordered Sunday Roasts (1 beef, 1 lamb), Parmesan truffle fries, and panna cotta for dessert. Everything was delicious, meat melted in our mouths, mint sauce perfect with the lamb, horseradish had exquisite bite to go with the beef, perfect meal. Sat out on the deck with our dessert (and Raju’s 2nd beer choice- the Coch Ruby) as we enjoyed the sun, the sounds of the sea and birds, and a view to kill for. 10 out of 10, hope we can make it back to this place again someday!

We were expecting so much more! After reading the reviews and the story of the restaurant, we were looking forward to a lovely meal on the last night of our week-long holiday. For the four of us, the food was only average. It was either too bland or seriously over-salted. For half the price, we’d had much better food elsewhere in the area. We even had to send the carrots back (£14 worth) because they were so salty they were inedible. The manager did come over to say there had been a mishap in the kitchen, and they kindly removed them from the bill. The only real exception for me was the dessert, which was delicious. Highlights were the building itself — beautifully decorated with gorgeous sea views — and the young waitress (I can’t remember her name, but she was only 17), who was an absolute delight. I would recommend this place for its location, ambience, and service. But if you’re looking for a fine dining experience, this is not it. Also, if you are a vegetarian, as some of us were, be warned: the selection is uninspiring and nowhere near as much thought has gone into the veggie dishes as the others.

Yelp
This restaurant is fine dining in a wonderful position overlooking the sea. A little precious but fab food. Obvious a bit pricey but worth it if you enjoy great food. Annoying to have to pay for the car park though!
