Where to Eat Deviled Eggs Around D.C. | Eater DC

"Great American Restaurants’ Coastal Flats, with area locations in Tysons Corner, Fairfax, and Gaithersburg, adds a bit of sweetness to its take on deviled eggs, topping each with spiced pecans and sugar-cured bacon. The $12 appetizer is also on the menu at its sister restaurant, Jackson’s Mighty Fine Food, in Reston Town Center." - Tierney Plumb

Coastal Flats is a wonderful restaurant with a welcoming ambiance and outstanding service. The food exceeded our expectations—we started with several recommended appetizers, including the blue crab fritters, baby crab cake sliders, and deviled eggs. Every dish was delicious, with the blue crab fritters being the clear standout. For the main course, we ordered the shrimp pasta, crab cake served with fries and coleslaw, smoked salmon fillet, and trout. The crab cake was exceptional—fresh, soft, and perfectly textured. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was prompt and attentive. The location is ideal, situated at ground level in Tysons Corner Center, making it easy to access. We made a reservation so there was no wait time. Reservations would be recommended but not absolutely necessary since you can spend time in mall till your wait time. Prices are reasonable for the quality offered, and we would definitely return—especially for the amazing crab cakes.

Google
I’d give this place a solid 4.5 overall. Our group of five shared three appetizers and four entrées. The appetizers—deviled eggs, crab fritters, and sliders—were outstanding, easily 5/5. For the entrées, I’d rate them 4/5; we tried the short-smoked salmon, trout, and shrimp pasta, among others. Highly recommend for a great brunch experience. Drinks are also 4/5. Plus, the mall parking right next to the restaurant makes it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal and do some shopping.

I had an amazing dining experience at Coastal Flat Restaurant! The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing, perfect for a casual meal or date. The staff was friendly and attentive. My server Jose was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits or Filet Steak. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy great food and good vibes. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Google
The food and drinks here were amazing! They offer an unlimited bread basket that you pay $1 for and that dollar goes to charity, which is really nice. The the rolls were delicious and you got to feel good about it! I had a Caesar salad which was really yummy (I didn’t love the croutons- I prefer ones with a slight give and more seasoning) and a side of fries which was perfect. Prices were reasonable and I left feeling really content. The servers were super sweet, and friendly but not always the most attentive. I also had a virgin mango mojito which was out of this world! I wanted to get the bread pudding- it looked really nice, but I had to get going. I’d definitely come back though!

Google
This review is long overdue, but Coastal Flats deserves its flowers 💐🍽️. I’ve been here several times and I’m basically in a committed relationship with their bacon cheeseburger 🍔❤️ The Ozzie rolls? A *must*. Non-negotiable. Mandatory. If you don’t get them, we cannot dine together 😂🥖✨. They’re soft, warm, and dangerously addictive. And don’t even get me started on the white chocolate bread pudding 😍🍮. I always try to “save room” like I’m disciplined, but let’s be honest… I’m showing up *for* the bread pudding. Everything else is just the opening act. The customer service is always great, super friendly, and consistent, which keeps the whole experience top tier 🙌. Honestly, this place stays one of my favorites and never misses. If you need me, I’ll probably be at Coastal Flats planning my next bacon-cheeseburger-plus-dessert combo 😅🍔🥖🍮.

Google
We had the sautéed shrimp and grits cake, as well as the shrimp roll — both were absolutely delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, retaining great flavor and texture. The French fries served with the roll were thin-cut and fried in clean oil, giving them a crisp, fresh taste. The grits cake was soft and smooth, just like its name suggests — almost like a savory cake. The restaurant’s interior was stylish, and our server was kind and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’d love to come back again.

Coastal Flats is a beautiful large restaurant with plenty of choices. I like the atmosphere at Holiday time with many poinsettias lined up in the restaurant. My favorite is the warm goat cheese salad with chicken. I also love their warm bread basket.

Google
Went on a weekend. The mall was packed but Coastal Flats has a large seating area so our party of 4 was seated shortly. The waiter did a great job of showcasing the menu highlights. I ended up having the fish of the day which was Mahi Mahi, which was amazing. The rolls….. I could eat a couple baskets of!

Yelp
Had a great experience! The bartender Stephanie and Wesley were both very helpful and friendly. The beef ribs were delicious, and the deviled eggs made a great appetizer. I highly recommend checking this place out if you've never been you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
We've been to Coastal Flats several times for lunch and have generally had good experiences, but this most recent visit was disappointing enough that it will likely be our last for a while. I had already eaten a late breakfast, but my friend needed lunch, so we ordered the Babycake Sliders for the table and a bowl of soup. When the food runner arrived, he placed a plate on the table and said something we couldn't hear. The items didn't look like what I expected sliders to be, but my friend put one on her plate and I took a bite of mine. A few moments later, our server came over with another plate and said, "Babycake sliders." It became clear that the first plate we had been given was incorrect. She placed the correct sliders on the table, then immediately removed the other food--including the items we had already taken from the plate and started eating--and said that if we wanted to keep them, we would be charged. She said she would check with the manager but didn't think we could keep the incorrect food without paying. She never came back with the taken food after supposedly checking with the manager and never returned to check on our meal or offer drink refills, and I ran out of ice tea. We later flagged her down, and she stated that it was restaurant policy that all mistaken food is thrown away. She was adamant that it was Coastal Flats policy. We were surprised and upset, particularly by the idea that food, already on our table and being eaten, would be just thrown in a garbage can. Food waste! When we asked to speak with a manager, he told us that the server had been incorrect about the policy and that she knows now. We appreciated the manager's honesty, but by that point the experience had already left a bad impression after having food taken off our table and being told a story. Despite tipping well, the combination of the removal of food, being told a story, and the lack of follow-up service left us disappointed. Because of this experience, Coastal Flats in Tysons Corner will no longer be our top go-to lunch spot.

Yelp
Enjoyed lunch with co-workers on Halloween. This is a family-friendly, casual dining restaurant inside Tyson's Corner Mall. If you enter the parking deck near the Hyatt Hotel with Coastal Flats listed at the entrance, you will have a very short walk! Alternatively, it's downstairs from the movie theatre and food court. We ordered calamari, buffalo chicken dip, and blue crab & shrimp fritters. For mains, we had ribeye steaks and chicken salad. Everything was good, except the calamari was very oily. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and welcoming. Our server was kind, and overall we had a pleasant experience.

Yelp
We were greeted and seated right away. The food was good and the server, Dilruk was very attentive. My husband had the salmon with cauliflower mashed and asparagus. I had the fish tacos, the slaw and fish were excellent. For ambiance, a little soft music to dampen the voices of other diners would have been nice. For a five star then.

Yelp
I went to Coastal Flats for a solo lunch. I kind of had an idea of what I already wanted to order. I was greeted by one person and gave my order to them but then someone else came over and asked if I wanted anything else. The second waiter started talking about the specials but they were so soft spoken it was hard to hear. If you try any of the great American restaurants and they have Ozzie rolls, get them ! They are delicious. I ordered the fish fingers which came with fries and coleslaw. I am not a fan of coleslaw. I should have asked if they could sub that out for something else. My waitress came by once after I got my food to see how it was. I ended up not finishing my meal because I was full from the delicious Ozzie rolls. However my waitress walked past several times and did not interact with me or ask if I needed anything else. I waited 20 minutes before I had to stop her and ask for my check and a box. Not sure if it's worth coming back based on lack of service.

Yelp
When we come to Tyson's Corner Center to dine, we go to Seasons 52 which is directly across from Coastal Flats, but decided today to check out Coastal Flats for the first time. We arrived at Coastal Flats for lunch at noon on a weekday. We were greeted by friendly people at the host's stand, and were seated fairly quickly. The vibe and decorating is rather similar to Cheesecake Factory. Service from the food runners was very good. Our server did a reasonably adequate job, but there was one thing curious about him. He dropped off the check on our table without a word, picked up our credit cards without a word and dropped our cards and receipts on the table without a word. No thank you or anything. The best deal on the menu has to be the Community bread assortment that goes for a mere $1. That $1 is donated by the restaurant to helping people obtain housing. The assortment was a nice variety and of a generous quantity. The seasoned soft butter that came with the bread was good. We both ordered the Pecan Crusted Trout. The trout was fresh and good. The portion size was large. I was a little surprised that the pecans were not crumbles of pecan pressed into then trout, but instead, whole candied pecans sprinkled atop the trout. The broccolini that came with the trout was good though some of the thicker pieces were undercooked. I think we'll come back, but we prefer Seasons 52 across the corridor.

Yelp
Coastal Flats = rolls so warm and buttery you almost cry. Service was quiet but efficient--like a ninja who takes your order without judgment. Everyone in our party had very specific food quirks, and they handled it like pros. After a long travel day, I inhaled my warm goat cheese salad like it owed me money. Clean, cozy, and perfect for fast-but-fancy refueling.

Yelp
I lost count how many times I been here since I frequent Tyson's mall so often and it's one of the few good restaurants there. The food is good but I feel like there isn't alot of variety because I always scan the menu but often go back to what I usually order. The service is great, looks to be a lot of young servers grinding. The ambiance is what you expect it.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Friday night and it was good. We were quickly seated, and we ordered ozzie rolls. They came out hot, but honestly, I feel like I've had better - They were kind of hard. We got the calamari and it wasn't super crunchy. Again the other great American places are a little better. Got the classic roast chicken salad that comes with avocado and it was great. But also super simple and hard to mess up. Overall, a great experience, but would go to another great American restaurant instead, such as Patsy's across the street. This is an easy convenient spot if you're shopping.

Yelp
Walked in on Father's Day and went to the bar! Service was fantastic and so was the food. If you love SWEET TEA, GET IT! It's so damn good and baby their mango margarita! Oh my lawd! Take a sip of boffum! For me :)

Yelp
A good experience overall with the prompt and friendly service to the tasty dishes! We made a reservation while shopping and by the time we reached the restaurant, we were able to check in and be seated within 10 minutes. Reservations are highly recommended as there was a lot of people waiting. An open setting with a nice bar area surrounded by TVs with many seating of mostly booths. We opted for the lobster roll, kids cheeseburger, and the drunken ribeye...all was prepared fresh and was delicious! Will be back again. Enjoy!

Yelp
I honestly did not expect outstanding service like this. We had reservations for 5:30 PM and it took longer than usual to get seated for a party of 5 but then again it was Mother's Day... When we walked past other servers and employees we were greeted with soft hospitality, "Welcome! Enjoy your meal.. thank you for coming." I mean I was impressed with this top scale service. The seats and table was glistening they sure do keep the place as clean as possible. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were indeed crispy/ crunchy, paired well with the habanero slaw. No complaints, overall it was a delightful experience.

Yelp
I've been to Coastal Flats many times. I usually get the salmon or ribs - great choices. However, today as I waiting for my friend, I started looking at Yelp pictures and came across the Coastal Shrimp Roll and said that looks good. I love shrimp and was disappointed. I asked for the roll minus the roll:) We had an early dinner around 3:30pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. Also, for dessert, our amazing waitress Whitney surprised us with the black tie mousse cheesecake. Yummy! We were torn between the cheesecake and bread pudding, so we just asked Whitney to surprise us! The cheesecake is for a limited time so if you're there, please check it out. Also, you can never go wrong with the Ozzie rolls.

Yelp
The food at all the Great American restaurants are always delicious! The service this round was stellar with a waiter who really took an extra step to check our food did not include anything we were allergic too! We sat inside the restaurant at the booth which has comfortable seating and beautiful ambiance. We started with the must-have deviled eggs which comes with brown sugar bacon to die for! The Salmon warm goat cheese salad is always winner!

Yelp
I was trying to find the Tysons Coastal Flats location but I couldn't so this is the one I chose (but I went to that location!). I have been here two times now and I can confirm that this place is so good and seemingly consistently good! I ended up getting a daily special appetizer which was a corn and queso dip with tortilla chips. It was packed with spice and flavor and the chorizo on top was a great addition! I was excited to try it. We also of course got the Ozzie rolls and those are always stellar. I could eat a billion baskets of those to be honest. For lunch I got two fish tacos. The slaw was with habanero and wasn't too spicy, but definitely a nice compliment to the crispy fish. Also $14 for two of these and the sweet potato fries is such a good deal. And I couldn't even finish! Everything came out super fast and our server, Wes, was so unbelievably attentive. He made sure my Diet Coke was filled up (refilling without asking which is such a green flag). He made sure the food was good and gave some great suggestions! Secondly, the vibe here is awesome. The decor is so coastal and cute which reminds me of the beaches back home. Good lighting and comfy booths. I would totally come back again after shopping in the mall!

Yelp
The ambiance was nice and the staff are very attentive. The food here was pretty typical. Crab cake sliders were good, lobster wasn't overcooked, got the shrimp cocktail and wish the shrimp was smaller bites but no issue there. I was kinda disappointed in the pecan trout, to me, it felt heavily dependent on the sauce to give it flavor and the crust was okay.

Yelp
It has been quite some time since my last review and having dined here on several recent occasions, I wanted to provide an update. While I think the food is usually consistent, the quality of service and attention to detail has declined beyond what one would consider reasonable. On one of our recent visits our server was barely present, and on another, a different server forgot to place some of our order, more or less shamed us into not asking for more rolls (even though we hadn't even asked for any) and was generally an all-around deviant. Add to that that one of our vegetables was served to us undercooked and it was a less than inspired visit. Though one of my personal favorite entrees is the crab cake and/or the crab cake and steak entree, I would almost suggest visiting other Coastal Flats locations or visiting at your own risk of abysmal service.

A M.

Yelp
The food delivery was pretty good. The burgers only have exactly what is in the description. If you want ketchup, mustard, Lettuce, etc., you will have to ask for it. They have nice pours on their wine glasses.
google avatar

Yelp
The service is so good the servers are nice and the food comes out so fast. The menu has a huge variety of foods and it's all very good quality.

Yelp
Coastal Flats...busy, noise level high. In the mall and plenty of seating but expect a wait unless you're eating at the bar. Service: From the host to the waitress the service was polite, professional and helpful. Food: My daughter LOVED "the fish fingers", I had the shrimp roll. It was good, the shrimp were seasoned perfectly and the sauce with it took the shrimp to the next level. My recommendation, if you're hungry don't get this or order an appetizer with it because it's small. The only complaint I have is that the fries are a bit too salty, don't get me wrong slat on fries delicious but in this case hold the salt chef...that arm was a bit too heavy on the salt. I would visit again but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. Overall, I recommend the place. My recommendation make a reservation, and ask about portion size.

Yelp
Had lunch today with a couple of friends. The greeter staff at Coastal Flats (at this and other locations) are terrific. You immediately feel welcomed here. The wait staff also are very attentive and pleasant upon greeting. It's a nice vibe, very comfortable and warm. The food also is quite good. I got the vegi-burger wrap with fries. One friend got the shrimp salad and the other got the branzino special. All were presented well and were tasty. We all got our entrees at the same time, which is also nice. We requested a bread basket ($1), with the amount going to charity. A selection of small rolls and raisin bread with whipped butter. Very nice. The wait staff let us sit for 2-1/2 hours, passing by from time to time, but not being obvious. They could have offered us refills of our water or coffee, but didn't. That's the only negative here during this visit.
google avatar

Fabiola S.

Yelp
Jenn was a very diligent & experienced bartender. She remembered our names and treated us so well. The drinks were absolutely delicious and strong. The food was amazing.. it was my first time having the Ozzie rolls and they are less sweet than a doughnut, but so easy to eat many of them. I will definitely be back. The restaurant is inside of the mall so it's very convenient to go after a day of shopping or to get some sustenance before a day of shopping!

L Z.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for a casual night. I always get the same thing! Have to have the Aussie rolls, then for dinner- Blue crab and shrimp fritters and the Chop House salad. Their croutons on the salad definitely tastes like it is made in house. It's not too hard/crunchy; but crisp.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Stopped in with a friend on a Friday evening. We both ordered salads and the rolls. I love the warm goat cheese salad, there is an option to add protein as well. The rolls are always delicious. I was impressed with the service as well. Overall, I would come back to try out more.
google avatar

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
Went here for the first time and loved it! I will be back many more times. This reminds be of on or my favorite restaurants and the Ozzie rolls with the poppyseeds is mwahhhh and a cherry on top! I had the crab cakes spinach and mashed Potatoes. We also had fish and fries. I have the mango pineapple martini and OMG get that. I would come back the the martini alone. Our service was great and it's really spacious and nice inside.

Yelp
My cousin and her family took my husband and me here to celebrate the closing of our house. We had not been here before and the food was AMAZING! The service was top notch! Our server checked on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. Because our party was so large, we sat at two tables across from each other. But we never felt neglected/forgotten. There were 3 small children in our party and despite their excitement, no one seemed to be annoyed or upset about our presence there. Everyone, including other guests, seemed so laid back and unbothered. Tyson's is definitely a different kind of mall/shopping experience with unique types of dining experiences inside!

MJ ..

Yelp
Samir was my server and he couldn't have been less attentive if he tried. Took forever to get drinks, barely checked on the table, and vanished the moment the food came out. I ordered the fish and chips -- huge mistake. The fish was soggy on the outside, dry on the inside, and somehow managed to taste both burnt and raw. Each bite felt like Poseidon himself was attacking me for daring to eat it. The fries were cold and lifeless, like they'd been sitting out since lunch. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Save your money and your stomach -- this place is a shipwreck.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
We stopped by for a quick lunch date and decided to sit at the bar, where we were warmly welcomed by the fantastic team, Riley and Jen. My wife and I each enjoyed cocktails--I had the raspberry martini, and she chose the mango martini. They were so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering a second! For lunch, we both opted for salads. My wife had the blackened salmon salad, which was perfectly seasoned with great accompaniments, including a unique twist with goat cheese that really elevated the dish. I had the lobster cobb salad, and it was like enjoying the best lobster roll atop a freshly made cobb salad. Truly an amazing meal!
google avatar

Amia P.

Yelp
Quick stop to refuel while shopping. We did not have to wait to be seated on a busy Memorial Day. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. My pineapple mojito could have been a mocktail because it had no liquor. The bread is a MUST. The shrimp and crab cake appetizer was delish.
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
I came in for dinner on Friday night and I was able to get in immediately. The server explained all the specials and what everything is on market price. As much as it's helpful, it was just a lot explained prior to even getting a chance to look at the menu. I had the coastal shrimp roll and the fish fingers. The food wasn't very memorable and I feel like I could get something else for better. The food wasn't flavorful for me. At least it was filling.
google avatar

Choi C.

Yelp
My favorite place to dine with family. We always get the drunken ribeye, sautéed crab cakes, shrimp and crab fritters, shrimp salad and shrimp and grits. Whatever we order is always good. The service is always point. The staff works well together.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
This was my first time at Coastal Flats. My son and I went to dinner on a Friday night, wait was only 10 mins. Drinks were great. I got the mango mojito. He got the Raspberry lemon drop. We decided to do appetizers. We got the Blue Crab & Shrimp Fritters, Crispy Sweet & Spicy Point Judith Calamari, Baby Cake Sliders. Everything was excellent. The calamari was crispy. My son had me to try it and I do not like calamari, but it was good. Our waiter was nice.

Tony S.

Yelp
This place is my all time favorite. I have been coming here since 2016 and it never disappoints. The food and the waitress are always on point. I have recommended this place to all my friends. If I could give 20 stars I would. Thank you for all you do. Your customer service is top notch and I'm always taken care of.

Yelp
Amazing service, courtesy of our waiter, Henry! Simply great food, attentive and welcoming service, and a lovely atmosphere for a Saturday lunch. My bacon cheeseburger was also divine. Would love to eat here again!

Yelp
This is a cute date night spot! The booths are intimate and the lighting is dim. Our server was exceptionally attentive and she kept a smile on her face the entire time! We ordered the deviled eggs for starters. I really wished we ordered two because I desired more than the 3 I had! I savored every bite of the sweet & spicy bacon along with the jicama filled deviled egg filling. We also ordered the pasta primavera with chicken and shrimp. I ordered mine spicy. I took one bite and unfortunately I had to send it back. There was an abnormal amount of crushed red peppers in the dish, to the point that I counted at least 10 flakes in one forkful. They recooked my dish but forgot to add my chicken. The waitress had the chef grill some chicken and I added it to the dish. It wasn't very well seasoned and it needed more sauce. When I return, I will be ordering my own order of deviled eggs and another main course.

Yelp
Hate posting this but Costal is one of my favorite places to eat. That is until they tried making crab cakes - I'm begging please stop that's the worst crab cake I've ever tasted. Great service from the Wesley really good guy hope he makes his singing dreams come true. Management needs help So they had flies and one landed on my filler filed crab-cake so I simply asked for a replacement at it was barely touched, originally it took 35 mins to get the original the replacement took 5.8 mins so I was pretty sure that fly was In it so I passed it on to the trash. Thank goodness for Cheesecake theirs is still decent. Love Costal but they need to get this off the menu it's insulting for sure

Yelp
I've been going to the Great American restaurants (which Coastal Flats is a part of) for quite awhile as I live in the DMV area and it's always been a safe bet for good food and a good experience. The most recent time at Coastal Flats inside of Tysons Corner mall left a bad taste in my mouth. First off, the community bread basket is no longer free and costs $1. Also the prices of the menu items have increased -- a lot. I ordered the ahi tuna salad that costs $27 and it came with 4 small pieces of the ahi tuna. It was not worth the price. I also ordered the crab and shrimp fritters which were the only highlight of the meal. The service was friendly but rushed. My friend was still finishing up his last pieces of sweet potato fries and a waiter came by and assumed he was done and just took his plate away. And the same waiter came back and put our check on the table when I was still not halfway done with my salad. We felt rushed to finish up and pay. Mind you, this was at 5pm and the restaurant was not busy. This will be my last time dining at this location.
google avatar

Dee D.

Yelp
The service was very good. We were served promptly and the food came out hot. At the table: blue crab and shrimp fritters -- just okay; lobster bisque soup -- yummy; Fried fish fingers were okay-- the coleslaw had way too much thick mayonnaise-- sweet potato fries -- good, and fried shrimp roll -- was okay but the sauce was off putting like too much vinegar or something. I asked for the lobster sauce that came with the crab appetizer. The sauce gave the shrimp some flavor. Overall, just okay. Good service though.

Yelp
Coastal Flats is part of the GAR group and has a lunch, dinner, and an extensive wine option. I've been here several times for lunch/dinner dates, as this place is just super convenient. I usually stick with the Short Smoked Salmon Filet, but the salmon was super dried out; the request for extra creole mustard sauce was forgotten. The Ozzie rolls didn't come out piping out, which was disappointing - I'm thinking it may be because people have to pay for these now and the kitchen isn't churching these out as much? Service was a bit disappointing, as it was hard getting refills and our check. +dried-out salmon +inattentive service
google avatar

Thea B.

Yelp
Not giving people food poisoning. I ended up severely ill after eating here. The shrimp roll must have had uncooked shrimp or something.
google avatar

Kat N.

Yelp
I think the Ozzie rolls are always the best part of the meal here. I ordered the hamburger, which was good, but I think the patty could use more seasoning or more sauce. I appreciate that they were willing to add requested lettuce. My boyfriend ordered the fish fingers. I thought they were okay and that the fish could be fresher, but my boyfriend said he liked them.

Yelp
Chris was amazing super attentive and accommodating!! First time going here and it was a nice time!

Yelp
Always great! If you seen my Mike's American Grill review, you know that's my favorite restarting. Wesley was our server today he was the best. He interacted with our son and got everything out fast.

Terinee B.

Yelp
The food here was excellent. Much better than I expected. For an appetizer, we had the deviled eggs, crab dip (limited time offering) and the bread basket. I had the Pecan Crusted Trout, my husband had the beef ribs and our friend had the smoked salmon dish. Every Single Thing was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Plus the service was great and the restaurant itself had a very inviting feel to it. I definitely plan on going there again in the near future!

Yelp
Quickly greeted and seated with smile. Late lunch and may have caught them during shift change but there was no break in service. The server was prompt and attentive. Food was prepared well and as ordered. Great spot.

Yelp
Nice quiet place and lighting to me is perfect. Service was great she seated us quickly and we were waited on pretty fast. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. I normally don't eat cheeseburgers but my daughter and I just wanted a quick snack to share. Well this bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was spot on. We will be back.

Yelp
A little disappointed that there was NO happy hour there (as stated by bartender while we sat down at bar at 4:45). Especially after seeing a HH menu in a recent review. Not a problem, though. Ordered up drinks and grub, had a good time. Then the pain from those damned barstools soon kicked in, and it was time to go. So go for the experience; NO happy hour.

Yelp
The food was ok. It's a chain restaurant so my expectations weren't that high. My burger was pretty good. The biggest issue I had was the restaurant smelled like fish. I realize it's a fish restaurant but it's a smell I associate with fish that isn't completely fresh and it colored my experience.

Yelp
We used to say Coastal Flats (Tysons) was the most reliable places to eat with the family. The last 2-3 visits the service was well below average (wait staff not attentive, food coming out randomly, food quality unchecked, dessert completely melted, no clearing tables, dishes stacking up, chasing down help, no follow up with condiment requests, and lackluster slow food delivery). This used to be a go to and now has fallen off to a 'only if nothing else is open'. Management is weak in Tyson's it really does show in everything that you once thought was stellar, when it is now very below average. Please owners read this message and try to visit incognito to understand where your revenue/profits are going (elsewhere). Good luck getting back on track. We hope you can do it.
