Fun space and beautiful ambiance. Outdoors is a little buggy with flies but comes with the space. Their crab bisque soup is delicious. I got their summer seafood special. Unfortunately a clam was unopened and when opened, was full of mushy black sand which was a little unappetizing and I couldn’t get the sand texture out of my mouth, as it mixed with the dish. I legit thought it was something else but realized it was gooey sand. Sent it back to inform the chef but that was that. Fairly pricey but what you’d expect for the location. Cocktails (and mocktails) were really good.

This was quite a while ago when I visited SC. I really like the atmosphere both indoor and outdoor seating. I really like the indoor design and enjoyed the outdoor esp with a really nice weather. Even though for outdoor, you will be by the pool and pool sometimes has lot of visitors and it was a bit weird to kind of looking them swimming and it could be loud. The service was okay as well with the food, and of course it’s pricey. When I am visiting, I like to eat smaller portions on different places so we order some appetizers. I recommend this place just to get the experience.

Amazing food and service. Best meal I’ve ever had. The waiter catered to the food allergens our family members had and even brought out some birthday truffles for my mother’s birthday! Would recommend to anyone in the area!!

Love sitting outside and eating here. Food is always good ( a little pricey for whah you get) but takes a VERY long time to come out. We were seated at 7:45 and didn’t get our food until 8:58. We have little kids and that wait is just too long. The same thing happened last year. And while waiting we didn’t see our waitress to get more water / refills so we had to stop other waiters walking by.

This chef is the best in Charleston and surrounding areas. We have been to many restaurants in the area and the food served here is 10/10 top quality. My son (who I am nursing) has a dairy allergy that has prevented me from eating anything containing dairy for 6 months. Every restaurant I have been to seems to use butter or some form of dairy in their preparation of the food. This restaurant was able to accommodate my dairy allergy with food items already listed on the menu. We had lunch and dinner and both meals were absolutely fantastic. They even had a dairy free desert option. I never write reviews but found it necessary because this restaurant has hands down the best food we have had in isle of palms and even in Charleston. Thank you to the chef for giving me my best dinning experience in 6 months!!!

What a delight it was to enjoy breakfast each morning at Coastal Provisions! We had the chance to dine indoors by the cozy fireplace a few mornings and outside on the lightly sun drenched covered patio the other couple mornings of our vacation. Patrick, Sean, and the entire team made us feel right at home, had our order and preferences quickly memorized, and catered to our family’s every need. Their ability to anticipate needs and provide warm service is unmatched. The food and coffee was outstanding. We will be truly sad to miss their breakfast and hospitality upon departure!

JoeJoe and Jessica are masters at crafting the perfect drinks, both alcoholic and coffeehouse drinks. They are friendly, efficient, and fun, the food here is amazing, the truffle fries are sinful, everything we had here was delicious, you won’t regret dining here or just spending time at the bar talking to one of the awesome bartenders. Highly recommend the bar and the restaurant.

Google
Our favorite restaurant during our trip to Charleston for Christmas holiday! Steak was cooked and seared to perfection. Truly perfectly in every way! Our teen daughter (picky!) loved this restaurant as well. Great ambiance and service -- very personable. Restaurant is located inside the resort, and valet parked our car. We had a small hiccup and left our credit card there -- Christopher and staff BROUGHT IT TO OUR HOTEL 25 minutes away later that evening. We just could not be more grateful. The desserts were to die for! Really unique restaurant. We thought it was a sister restaurant to one in the Outer Banks, but it was not. Great experience and highly recommend!

Yelp
This was a great spot to visit as part of the resort. Dinner was the best. I did visit a few times, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. We had an event so it was a private party. I had the bisque and filet. I can't rave enough about how good the dinner was. It's a must try.

Yelp
Cute and charming restaurant that's located right in The Boardwalk hotel at The Wild Dunes Resort. The restaurant has a nice bar when you walk inside and two seperate rooms. There's also an outdoor patio area that faces the pool. They DO get very busy because large parties often go so make reservations in advance. We had breakfast twice here when we stayed for our wedding. The first time I had an egg and cheese croissant with breakfast potatoes , a side of bacon and a mimosa. The egg and cheese croissant was okay, lacked a bit of flavor. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned very well and super crispy. Bacon was done crispy as well and had good flavor. The mimosa was delicious and proportioned well with orange juice to alcohol. The service was friendly and the view on the patio is beautiful. Second breakfast I tried the farmers omlette with mushrooms and cheddar. Pretty good, also a bit bland. We also had our wedding dinner there for 15people. I'd say that was my favorire meal. They condensed the menu but had enough options for chicken , fish, or steak. i got the cesear salad as my app, this was not my favorite I thought it needed more dressing and mostly tasted like lettuce. I tried the she crab soup, and it was delicious. I should have ordered that instead. The soup had great flavor, and was very creamy. For my entree I had the sea bass with seaweed salad. The fish was cooked perfectly but I had to eat quick we had our dinner before the ceremony and it was a bit rushed 2 hours was not enough time . But the food was very good. My husband and I also went to dinner here another night because it was the only thing open. I had the risotto and burrata. He had the hush puppies and order of truffle fries which the waitress told us and was not on the menu. So this place is super expensive, some items are delicious others need some work. I also did not like that the risotto was not made with arborio rice, it did taste alright overall. The truffle fries were super crispy and delicious. I also ate all of the burrata, and my husband did enjoy his hush puppies. So yeah expensive, some good and some meh. Could be better could be worse. I would go back if we were staying here again.

Yelp
That was this most disappointing dinner experience Cesare salad was the worst Ive ever had. And the fish?? Omg. Absolutely disgusting And not cooked after we asked cook it well pls Our waitress was a sweetheart!!! But the food horrible We paid -left a good tip and we run!!!!!!!

Yelp
Kind staff, tasty food and fun vibe! It took a while for everything to come out but our waitress was very kind and friendly. Food was good, slightly overpriced for a simple breakfast but understandable when trapped in a resort with limited options.

Yelp
Probably by far one of the better steak tartare ever!! Beautiful restaurant !! Service was on point. Cocktails were quick and perfect. Menu has a lot of options! Everything we tried was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fish and shrimp were overcooked. Hush puppies were too salty. Drinks and food are overpriced.

Yelp
Came here twice during my stay and overall, I was pretty impressed with the quality of food and even more with the service. I will say breakfast was my favorite as the farmers omelet was delish and fluffy and the breakfast potatoes were amazing, seasoned perfectly. Breakfast was a pretty large portion, couldn't even finish the omelet. I came back for a second day for dinner; make reservations, esp for dinner! Luckily, my friend and I were able to score seating at the bar, but this place seems to get busy throughout the evening into the night. I did see someone mention they couldn't get in for seating due to no reservation with lots of empty tables present - this was also the case for my friend and I. We sat at the bar for approximately an hour and within that time, many of the tables remained empty and unclaimed. For starters, I ordered a raspberry lemon drop, delish, and a crab bisque, ALSO delish. My entree was the coastal steam pot, which was okay. I didn't necessarily love the sauce everything sat in. Best part was the sausage! Overall, very impressed with this spot; as I mentioned, service was amazing and a HUGE plus, they have many gluten-free friendly options for all times of the day!

Yelp
This review is for breakfast (the only meal we enjoyed here). It was inside in the cozy yet bright bar room. Comfortable chairs and tvs on mute. Service by Jessica was 5 star. She dealt with our food allergies so professionally and made excellent recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their meals but the spring tart, mimosa, and omelet were particularly fabulous. Making a reservation (it was Mother's Day) proved difficult and menu was limited. Prices were high but in line with a resort. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Second time eating here. Couldn't have been more opposite experience from the first time. We immensely enjoyed our dinner during restaurant week in September 2023 so much so that we decided to bring friends back this time. What an embarrassment and mistake! Menu was almost identical. Service was good but the portion sizes and quality of the food was not. I have NEVER seen portion sizes this small in my life, it was a joke. When we ate there 5 months ago, we had leftovers to take home, this time, my husband ate his and half of mine and was still hungry. The pork chop that I ordered and requested rate was served like shoe leather, I was unable to eat it, hence why my husband ate my meal. My husband ordered the fish which was flounder, (grouper if you ordered off their regular menu!) was also terribly overcooked and dry. I should also mention that I did call the restaurant the day after our meal and asked for the manager. The woman that answered, Alex, told me she was the manager. When I questioned her further, she admitted that she was just the assistant manager and the actual manager was on vacation. I explained the situation to her. She listened and was polite but she couldn't have cared less. She didn't even think to ask for my name or phone number to give to the manager when she or he returned from vacation. So, be forewarned, before you waste your money in this establishment.

Yelp
I had breakfast here twice during my stay and it was great both times. I also ordered coffee and lemonade at the bar both were tasty and strong. I want to come back for their overnight oats!!! The servers are kind and attentive, sitting inside or outside both are great and there is plenty variety when you add the a la carte into entrees. If you're from out of town, you should expect a little time for the orders and servers to come back. It's a relaxed and slower paced environment. The presentation for each meal is lovely.

Yelp
Coastal Provisions was a perfect setting for a lunch by the pool. Music was softly playing and there are no kids allowed at the pool by the restaurant. Our service was outstanding! Regan, Tamika and Kevin (the host) were all attentive and pleasant. The food was great. Started with the band rolled shrimp empanadas. Crunchy, delicious and the mole' sauce they were served with was some of the best I've had. The fish sandwich lightly battered with just the right amount of tarter sauce. I would order it again! The fries it came with were shoe-string style, hot and seasoned perfectly. The flat bread pizza was very good. We added prosciutto and garlic to ours. The garlic was roasted to a tender sweet consistency with crispy edges. The balsamic drizzle they use is a bit sweet but complemented the flat bread well. Overall, this is a great spot for any lunch and we will be back many times.

Yelp
Don't sit outside because you will fight the flies during your meal. After flies are on your food, they will not offer any concession. You will have to pay in full. Also, the scallop were dry.

Yelp
Great 3-course meal for Charleston restaurant week! Connie was a great server, food was creatively presented and delicious, setting on the patio overlooking the pool was pleasant. Thanks for a nice evening!

Yelp
We can't speak to a dine in experience because we only ordered a carry out. The place looks to have that upscale bar decor. We ordered the fish and chips and the Forrest flatbread. For these prices we expected a full lunch serving. The fish was a single 4-6 oz serving and a medium shoestring fry. The flatbread was a cut up 8" serving with ample mushrooms and a hint of prosciutto. Both were delicious, but left us still hungry after spending $45 for lunch.

Kathy R.

Yelp
Super disappointing experience. No idea why they would say on their menu and on their website that they can accommodate/adjust menu items for those of us who are gluten free, when they don't or won't. Waiter basically had the attitude of "too bad for you, we don't substitute". Ended up with an appetizer that they took out the crackers and an entree that they took out the grains. No substitutions available. I've been GF for 5 years and never had a bad experience like this where the restaurant won't even try to work with you. Especially for the prices here! They need to take that GF note OFF their menu! We would avoid at all costs, even if I wasn't GF because their attitude was that they just don't care.

Yelp
While the food and ambiance is nice, it's definitely not worth the price tag. While the staff is very friendly the food service is very slow.

Yelp
We had a decent experience at this restaurant. First off, the ambiance is very nice, the wait staff is nice, and most of our food was tasty. We wanted to order appetizers first and wait to order our entrees but our server told us that the chef prefers for us to order the entire meal. Have never had this experience before! Didn't like that we were then rushed to order. We ordered the appetizer special, deconstructed crab ravioli. We had high hopes but it came out cold. When we asked the manager he said that the crab should be cold and ravioli pasta hot. Didn't make sense and wasn't good cold. We sent it back and they took it off the bill. My daughter ordered the crab linguini, she asked to omit the roe, and was told the chef does not alter the dish. That made no sense since it's put on tap of the dish, not mixed in. My husband ordered the crab bisque and he said it was tasty. We ordered the corn muffin basket, they weren't bad but not amazing, a little dry. My husband and I both ordered the scallop dish. Mine came out barely warm, my husbands was warm. The dish was delicious. I would overall recommend this restaurant. The food is tasty but definitely could have been a better experience over all.

Yelp
This place is very good. Amazing service, the manager Joshua was very nice person. The waiter Sean was very respectful and polite and was very nice to give a shark tooth. The food was very pleasant too. The ambiance of Costal Provisions was amazing.

Jyoti W.

Yelp
What a Stellar service and a wonderful meal experience . Sean the server was so kind and patient and his chivalry of the shark tooth to my son .There are good people in this world .thankyou

Mark P.

Yelp
Don't count on being able to eat. The fact that they have set hours does not matter they will turn you away if they are busy no matter the time.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
As a snobby Californian who enjoys organic produce daily, I was thoroughly impressed by my visit to Coastal Provisions. The restaurant is graced by the most incredible restaurant manager; Joshua was beyond kind, accommodating, and professional! The food is fresh and fantastic, featuring locally sourced produce which truly makes a difference in the dining experience. Overall, I would highly recommend dining here. It may be a hotel restaurant but the service and ambiance is truly worth a visit.

Yelp
Went For their restaurant week special. The entire experience was delightfu, From the service to the appetizers and the fish was to die for cooked perfectly and surrounded by a medley of outrageous vegetables. Cheesecake was superb. Service was first class. Really enjoyed my experience there
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
Came at end of summer. 4 in party for breakfast. Most complicated dish was egg croissant. Food took over 40 mins to arrive and was expensive. Not great. Server was MIA do most of the Meal. Don't bother eating here. Convenience not worth the trip
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
Food was very mediocre. We ate here upon arrival at the Wild Dunes and were very disappointed. Service was poor. We started with the ceviche, and it tasted rancid. We sent it back and didn't even receive an apology. Our entrees were less than appealing. The fish entrees were very fishy tasting and we barely finished them. We did not return to dine here during our stay.
google avatar

Hop S.

Yelp
Great meal at Coastal Provisions during Charleston's Restaurant Week! With a three- course meal for $40 each, I thoroughly enjoyed the Snapper. The final course included a slice of delicious cheesecake. I probably would not have eaten here at the restaurant's normal prices, but this offer was more than enough incentive. See you next year.
google avatar

Samantha M.

Yelp
Didn't even get a table because on Sundays they only take reservations. While we did go at a more than likely busy dinner time, the restaurant had 3 tables seated. Unsure of where all the reserved tables were seated. The hostess was rather dismissive. When asking the hostess if she had a recommendation of where a family could get dinner on a Sunday, she stuttered & needed to ask for assistance. Would not recommend
google avatar

Bill D.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Surprisingly good food and delightfully service, especially for a hotel. Had reservations to go again but second COVID closing. Split the tomahawk steak special ($90) that was delicious. Came with bacon mac&cheese. The fried green tomatoes appetizers was equally good. Split decision on desert I loved the bourbon chocolate mousse my wife loved the blueberry tart.

Yelp
*Room service review* We had a late lunch, so we weren't hungry until 8pm and then really just something small would do until morning. Since this hotel is (beautiful but..) not close to anything and no one delivers pizza or Uber Eats here your options are 2 places after 5/6pm when everything else closes. So, we pulled out the room service menu. Which didn't look awful but not great either. We opted to share the 6 wings $12 and a quesadilla $12. No room service charges listed, so I wasn't expecting the $35 bill when it came. Not including tip. But whatever. Good food is costly and I was ready for my delicious apps. Errr. No. The wings are the size of frozen wing dings and are oddly sticky and soft for "grilled wings". The hot sauce was good but I've had better. The tortilla with beans and cheese and maybe a sprinkle of the pulled pork was a huge, misleading travesty to quesadillas. 1. If this was actually pimento cheese on it, it was the most flavorless one ever. 2. There was more bean than anything. 3. It was wet 4. It was basically empty. 5. Only the first 2 inches had anything in it, the other 3 inches were empty. Ever salt a quesadilla? Yeah, me either, until today. Zero flavor. I'm pretty angry about this $40 loss for some snacks. (Tipped $5, delivery chic was super nice though). Save your money or plan ahead and don't be stuck looking for food after hours here.
google avatar

Toby D.

Yelp
The place: Right next to a beautiful boardwalk and a adults only pool. Have fans going outside so you stay cool. The inside has the coolest lighting fixtures. Part of the hotel The food: I had the she crab soup, the crab hush puppies and the fish tacos. She crab soup was amazing I don't know how they get that bread the way they do. The sauce for the hush puppies was incredible. The fish tacos were ok not the best I ever had, there was not that much flavor to them/ needed more sauce. Use the hush puppies sauce maybe! The staff: Southern hospitality is a thing they were all so nice and available whenever we needed anything.

Yelp
We decided to go to Coastal for breakfast since we were staying upstairs in the hotel and were glad that we did. I had the Southerner and my wife and daughter both had the grilled croissant sandwich. Everything was great! Fluffy and tasty eggs, creamy grits, crispy bacon, and my daughter ate all of her sandwich and potatoes.

Yelp
An amazing meal and excellent customer service! Alex and the team really went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Food is always amazing and they rotate the menus by season, so you're always able to have new options. That doesn't count the specials they have each night. The atmosphere is sophisticated and welcoming all at once. And you couldn't ask for better service when you have Jojo or Lindsey taking care of you! What a team!!

Yelp
Incredible food all meal periods. I'm staying at the resort and I keep going back each day, sometimes twice because the food and service is so good. Try any of the seafood. Tuna poke, fish tacos, swordfish, and ahi tuna is to die for. Just got the ahi to go tonight. Amazing

Lori H.

Yelp
We love the lunch menu except cauliflower hummus in the past their hummus was our favorite with roasted veggies.. now for same price it's lettuce leaves and a weird flavored hummus. Bartenders are awesome always and great wine food menu is the only change that was disappointing. They also used to serve the hush puppies that were delicious
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
Bring your wallet and lower your expectations. The Seafood Perlou had a shrimp and a few crab shells. We paid 34 dollars for a plate of poorly seasoned rice. When we advised the server he returned with a plate of 3 over cooked grilled shrimp. A very disappointing experience. With all the variety for a seafood meal on IOP opt for another choice. While the staff was friendly, it was very clear they were uninterested and would have rather been elsewhere. We will not return

Yelp
My wife and I decided to stay at the The Villages for our anniversary weekend. We made a reservation for a Friday evening. Upon entering we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated. The restaurant has an interesting decor, it's part casual, part professional. I could see anyone inbetween feeling perfectly at home. Our server, Emily once again greeted us and was extremely knowledgeable of the menu. We started off with a couple of draft beers, they have a good selection of craft beers on tap, not extensive but it gets the job done. We ordered the crab hush puppies with white sauce as an appetizer. I would highly suggest these, they're amazing. My wife had upon suggestion from Emily(more on her later), suggested the chef special which was a panko crusted flounder with pork belly and fried oysters. I decided on the 12oz New York Strip cooked medium rare with the blackened potatoes. We split a side of the baked Brussels. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection, the steak was an extremely high quality cut of meat. My wife went on about how delicious the flounder was as well. We both couldn't have been happier with the food, BUT.... Emily, our server was the star of the evening! She was very charismatic and took it upon herself to make sure our evening went perfect. We really can't say enough about the service this young lady provided us. All in all it was a great date night and I highly suggest.. Ask for Emily!

Yelp
Came here today for dinner with my wife and two you daughters. The wait staff was mostly on point, drinks got dry near the end of the meal, but otherwise on point. Food was... good, so long as you don't order off the kids menu. The snapper was awesome, very tasty! The salad was fresh and crisp and had a great flavor. The hush puppies were particularly good. However, my daughter ordered the grilled cheese ($9) off the kids menu. It says something when the adults food is good, but they skimp when it comes to making things for the kids. This was on plain white bread and they used what tasted like Velveeta cheese. It wasn't gooey, properly melted, and the bread was not toasted properly at all. I could have made a better grilled cheese at home. Now, am I ranting about something simple? Yes, but when you are going to charge me $9 for a grilled cheese, children's menu or not, it better be freaking awesome. This was not.

Jane J.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal. Strip steak cooked perfectly, broccolini with wonderful sauce, shrimp and grits were excellent. Heirloom tomato salad excellent but too pricey for the skimpy portion. Otherwise fabulous meal and great service.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Our food was great. Wine selection was ok, we got the Steele Pinot blanc which was excellent. Oysters were fresh and very clean. I got seared tuna with pea and butter bean succotash, my husband got the fish special which was grouper- he's said is was very good. The atmosphere was very nice as well.

Yelp
OK place to eat, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. It was all good except for dinner when we ordered a wild mushroom salad and it arrived as a mostly Radicchio salad with some gravy and a bit of mushrooms. We told the server about our concerns and he told us he would alert the kitchen. That was the last we heard about it, so that means the kitchen is OK with passing a Radicchio salad as a wild mushroom salad. So, beware that the wild mushroom salad is really a Radicchio salad with a bit of gravy and some mushrooms ...

Yelp
We chose this place because it was close to where we were staying and had good reviews on Yelp. The Good: We were seated immediately. The food was good - maybe an 8 or 8.5 out of 10. The Bad: After ordering the wait was excessive. Our reservation was at 815p and we ordered by 830p. We got bread, but our filets took a good 45 minutes. Most of the time we sat in our seats and waited. One time the server came and said that our wait was due the the temperature of the well-done meal, but nobody ordered a well-done filet - so that was perplexing? When we left all four of us were Invisible to the valet, so I grabbed our keys and we walked to our car and left. Needless to say the service on both fell quite a bit short of the reviews posted on this site.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
This is a place of last resort . Breakfast is the best option here and why three stars were given. The steak was was the reason for the two that weren't given. Everything on menu will give you sticker shock but the steak was way over priced based on taste. ( this being said if you prefer a steak with no seasoning you would love this one) There are better options price and taste wise in the area such as the Long Island restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing food. Great service! We came for our anniversary and felt like celebrities when we left!! We'll be back next year

Yelp
Great menu and service. All seafood entrees are delicious and frequently updated. Mixologist pours very unique a delicious cocktails and the beer selection is very good

Yelp
Spent 5 days at SWEETGRASS Inn and over that period had, breakfast, lunch, and dinner at coastal Provisions. And all three meals were great. Fantastic service, great food.

Yelp
We chose to celebrate our 5 year anniversary at Coastal Provisions last weekend and were so very pleased we did! The service was excellent, and the food did not disappoint! Our server recommended the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. We got both, and they were delicious!! The sommelier selected the perfect bottle of wine for us and even sent us home with a bottle as an anniversary gift. It was a delightful evening and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Staying st the Boardwalk Inn for the weekend. Tired from lots of sun and fun, we decided to eat in tonight. two of us got a sandwich from Hudson's, and then we ordered soup, a filet with a side of bernaise and scalloped potatoes to go from Coastal. We were told 40 minutes - which seemed like a lot of time considering there were only three of four tables seated in the restaurant - but we thought "maybe they are under promising and will over deliver." I went back upstairs to our room, and came down in 40 minutes. After ten minutes of standing around, I asked someone to check on my meal. He disappeared never to be seen again. Ten minutes later I went in and asked the bartender. He said he would check. Eventually, out came the filet and potatoes. Went I got back upstairs and realized I didn't have the soup. I went back down and waited five more minutes for a cup of soup. I came upstairs and the potatoes were so cold, it seemed like they were use taken out of the fridge, and the bernaise sauce was buttered foam. Literally. no flavor - just foam butter. Bottom line, if you can't do "to go" meals, don't say you can. A small fortune for a well less than par meal and experience. Disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
Not too shabby People reviewing this restaurant are too harsh I had a great kale salad with chicken ... and sat on the patio. Waiter was nice - Dominic Last year my husband and I had a nice seafood dinner It is clean and quaint
