Hubcap Grill is hands-down one of the best burger spots in Galveston! 🍔 The vibe is super laid-back and welcoming — exactly what you want on the island. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, and the fries are always hot and crispy. The staff is friendly and attentive, even when they’re busy, and the service feels personal. It’s the kind of place you want to bring friends or family to just hang out, grab a cold drink, and enjoy some great food. If you’re in Galveston and craving a burger, this is a must-visit. Highly recommend the specialty burgers — you can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had no complaints on my visit here. It was confusing at first because it comes off as a restaurant with a hostess but you quickly find out that is not the case. When you walk up to the counter the cashier is also your bartender. Wish they had that as two separate jobs. They have their own branded sodas which my boys enjoyed a lot. The food was expected. It is not out of this world amazing but it is not garbage either. It is a burger joint. We would definitely return to try some more another time.

The restaurant is not clean and there is no one to greet you upon arrival. You grab a menu and a chair and hope someone will guide you. Found out you need to walk to the bar to order. The ice tea drink comes in a small child size glass. There were nats flying everywhere in our area. I ordered Deep in the Heart of Texas. Most of my sandwich brisket meat was not edible. Very disappointed.

The food was awful. I got the tender basket and they were the worst. My tenders looked like they were left out over night and then fried up because the edges were over cooked and the middle was slightly cooked and the fries were stuck together. For $18.99 not worth it. I stick to the one in Santa Fe.

Loved everything about The Hubcap Grill! Super friendly staff—Ronnie was awesome, and the owners made us feel right at home. The Costal Star Texas Lavender Double Hazy IPA (brewed by the owner’s wife) was incredible—I wish they sold it in stores. The Texas Lavender Margarita was just as amazing. Don’t miss the tamale dog—so creative and delicious. 10/10 recommend!

Google
Burger showed up fast and the portion was big, which I appreciated. But honestly, it just wasn’t good. I ordered medium rare and got well done, the bread was dry, and the burger fell apart as soon as I took it out of the too-small box. Also, the order was supposed to come with fries, but none were included. So it ended up being a $20 burger ($28 with delivery), and without the fries it felt like a rip-off. Hope this can get fixed, because I want to support local spots, but right now it’s hard to justify.

Burgers are delicious! Loved the atmosphere the very chill way that they allow you to seat yourself and order on your own time. The atmosphere is fantastic with all the wall art and vintage looking pieces.

Google
Fun little restaurant for lunch. I had the Texas BBQ Brisket Burger with fries and it was more food than I could eat. My only regret was the very small glass of iced tea that I had to keep refilling.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing, the owners are very hospitable! We enjoyed everything that we ordered, especially the pimento cheese and crackers. Their whiskey collection included the basics, but also some unique and rare bottles. The decor had a lot of character and the bar was intimate, allowing us to enjoy conversations amongst ourselves and with our bartenders.

Yelp
Amazing food, drinks, service and ambiance. We come here every time we are in Galveston.

Yelp
This was a super cute stop on our way to cruising out of the port. I would recommend the Texas Deviled Eggs, the chili, and the limoncello spritz. I wish I would have taken pictures before chowing down, but it all looked too good to wait. The Texas chili was true Texas style; no beans. The owners stopped by to check-in and talk to us about the food, how they make the recipes, and the veterans who are working hard making the food. Cam, the bartender, was busting his butt taking orders and making drinks. 10/10 would reccomend this restaurant to those who are in Galveston.

Yelp
This bar\restaurant is located along the strand and used to be known as the Hub Cap Grill until it recently changed its name to this. Ironically, there's still a large display of hubcaps on the sidewall. It is also a brew pub, however, on our visit, they had none of their beers on tap. You can order your grub and beer at the bar where you'll find the only beer menu on the wall since there's not one printed yet. After paying with a credit card you'll face the tip screen, be handed a number and head back to your table. One point of interest is that they fry everything in beef tallow. I got the shrimp basket and my wife had the chicken fried fish and chips. For the money, it seemed the portion of fish was pretty small. Normally, one would expect a small helping of coleslaw like most restaurants, but here you just get fries. I appreciated the six fairly large shrimp, but when I peeled away some of the thick batter, I realized they were not deveined which is why you see three stars, not four. I could taste the grittyness which led me to peal away the batter to check. If I were to come here again, I'd probably stick to the burger menu since those looked good as they were coming out. 10 photos included. 31/2*

Yelp
Really neat find. Cozy and comfortable. It's a mix between a brewery, bar and restaurant. On tap they have several of their own brews plus some from Galveston and beyond. I ended up having a Guinness. The food menu is full of great options, some basic and some gourmet. My Tea Time Grilled Cheese had blackberries, spinach and grilled mushrooms added. Instead of fries I chose a garden salad. It was fantastic!! Even included a boiled egg. Will definitely try again when next in town. I'll be back for the food and beer!! Don't pass this place up!!

Yelp
Love the vibe in this place. We shared a chicken sandwich which was delish. You order at the counter and a friendly server brings it to your table. This will be my go to lunch place while strolling the strand.

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot in Galveston. The menu selections are wide and unique. The food quality is so much better than regular bar food. (Which is what I've come to expect at a brewery.) We met the owners and they really care about quality and customers having a good experience. Thank you for a delicious lunch. We will be back!

Yelp
Ended up getting a burger at "Coastal Star Brewing". The burger was amazing, the French fries was cooked in beef tallow, onion rings (top notch). Took a shot of absinthe and was prepared nice and professional. Overall an amazing place. Thanks Cameron Longley.
