I went again. Better then the first time. The food is exceptional and the customerservice from the two handsome guys was great! I wish I had their names. One had ears pierced and the other a beard. Really cool Hawaiian style shirts but their customer service is above and beyond. (This place was too good. I didn't have high expectations, but the sushi was really good. In my opinion, it is better than Billy Sushi. I thought the place was too dark and a little hard to find, but who cares? I mean, the food was great, and the service was outstanding. I'm definitely coming back. I had a few sushies and the Nigiri. Very fresh! Look for the blue eye 👁 )

Google
If you like delicious sushi, aesthetically-pleasing and moody atmospheres, and the nicest staff, this is your new place to go in the Twin Cities. There is uncovered parking available for patrons next to the entrance. If you see a neon sign of an eye on top of an unassuming door, dont be fooled like I was into thinking its a psychic, you've found the right place. The only psychic thing about this place is that they knew how I like my drinks better than I do... Spooky.

Google
Rachel was my server and she was the best. She was so sweet and gave amazing service. I could tell The other tables she was serving were having a lot of fun with her. My drinks and food came promptly. Food was sooo good. I had the miso soup, veggie roll, and chef special nigiri. They do an amazing job here, def recommend!!! Will be back 💗

Google
I came here for the first time yesterday, and I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! The overall vibe of the restaurant is a speakeasy. There is no signage for the restaurant other than an eye on the side of the building. The entrance is very conspicuous as well. A curtain greets you; it is a cozy two-level restaurant once you walk through. The restaurant is fairly tiny. You can only seat about 8-10 groups max. The server was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly and super accommodating. I didn't get her name, but she was only working on January 9th at around 6:30 pm. Phenomenal service! I ordered the karaage chicken, miso soup, cali 2.0 roll, and the chicken dumplings. The food arrived relatively quickly, and everything was terrific. I LOVED the dumplings and the karaage chicken the most. The portion sizes are relatively large, and I recommend sharing. Also, something to keep in mind is the restaurant does not have a parking lot. It is paid street parking which can be difficult to find depending on the time and day.

Google
Cobble Social House was the perfect spot for a double date with drinks and sushi. It is dark and loud in there with only a few small tables and a couple seats at the bar and I was totally into that speakeasy-like vibe and the music choices. For out of towners, this is the nice area of downtown that the foodies flock to. Both the drinks and the sushi were creative, fresh, and delicious. The masculine Barbie cocktail was the favorite at our table. The salmon tataki and the shrimp tempura were great starters. The SAT roll and seared salmon rolls were some of the more unique rolls I've found lately and I loved the textures and flavors going on in there. I don't encourage eating blue fin tuna but I bet they do it justice here if you did want to try it.

Google
We recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary here and had the most amazing time. The cocktails were amazing paired with the best shrimp tempura I have ever had. The chef brought out raw salmon samples for us to try when he heard we were celebrating. Our rolls were delicious and we ordered yellow tail crudo that was literally THE best! Highly recommend!

Google
Mmm, the chicken dumplings are to die for, and I even tried an amazing salmon sushi 🍣 😋 can't wait to get back there!

Google
Very good sushi dishes; fresh fish, great flavors, nice selection. Drinks were creative and good, food selection was nice and the dishes were full of meaty cuts never leaving you wanting for more. The crudos were top notch and the sushi rolls were a perfect blend of flavors without overpowering the star of the dish (the fish). The restaurant is small, with very few tables, highly recommend a reservation! Would be happy to go back!

Yelp
Food: way too expensive for the quality of food we got. Loved the SAT roll, but the karaage chicken was soggy and trinity roll underwhelming. Service: somewhat unprofessional and really did the bare minimum. Drinks: enjoyed thoroughly but not worth the high price. Atmosphere: dishes were a little dirty but pretty cute inside! Overall, if you're going to charge these prices, you gotta live up to it, and they did not.

Yelp
We had another splendid dinner at Cobble Social house. We liked the vibe, had good service and the food was as incredible as it was last time !! Highly recommend. Our order this time was --Spicy cucumber appetizer $12 --Beach house roll $25 --Wagyu carbonara $50 We'd recommend it all !! The wagyu carbonara was a weekend special we saw on their instagram and we're so glad we booked a res for it. It was rich, savory and really tasty. The other two food items were amazing as well. The beach house roll had a small taste of citrus that really went well with the umami punch of the scallops. definitely an expensive place but we felt the sushi was very fairly priced in relation to other sushi restaurants of its caliber like billy sushi for example. They have a lot unique rolls ive never seen before like the beach house roll which felt like summer in a bite.

Yelp
Second time visiting and disappointed with the service. We were asked to order everything at once but waited over an hour for two people in our group's sushi rolls. When we asked about the rolls, the waitress and other staff made excuses. They began to avoid our table. Very unprofessional. There was no apology when food was finally delivered. They just delivered it curtly. When we finally received our food, it was very good sushi. The rolls are different from a run of the mill sushi restaurant. Cocktails are interesting but over priced. The atmosphere is cool but the music is loud. Overall, due to service or lack there of, I won't be returning.

Yelp
I really liked the vibe of this lounge and I went on a Wednesday when they're was a DJ, it's not a club feel at all and is super chill and great for a night out with friends. The food was good but they were out of uni and a couple other things that I was looking forward to trying. I would probably recommend against getting the caviar as a topping since that is an option for $20. I saw that it was a very very small amount and the flavor of the fish probably masks the taste of the caviar anyway. The drinks were good in my opinion but they are on the sweeter side. I think the overall quality of the fish was excellent considering we are in a landlocked state. Cobble sometimes has an event where there's a special guest chef so I definitely want to try that at some point!

Yelp
Mediocre service and food. Had high expectations for the dons (sushi rice bowls) but thought they were fine, not really worth $45 for the toro don. I will say, if you're a sushi lover, it's worth a try if you like tons of ikura. They add a bunch on all their dons. I was shocked they were selling extra sides of nori and wasabi/ginger for $5 each. I feel like if I'm spending $45 on a sushi bowl, I shouldn't have to pay if I want a little extra. There definitely was not enough nori for the both of us when we ordered two dons. The place is super small and tucked away in an alley so it's a bit hard to find. Seems like a fun place for folks that want expensive sushi and cocktails. We ordered the two bowls and one roll and spent roughly $130. The music was blaring and I couldn't hear my husband talking to me at times. The charred scalloped sushi roll was the best thing we ordered imo!

Yelp
Cobble Social House in Minneapolis is a sushi lover's dream come true! From the Trinity Sushi Roll to the SAT Sushi Roll and Sake Don, every dish was a masterpiece of freshness and flavor. The fish was so fresh it practically melted in my mouth, a true testament to their commitment to quality. What sets Cobble Social House apart, besides the exceptional food, is its inviting atmosphere. The vibe is intimate, with great music setting the mood for a memorable dining experience. It's the perfect spot for a date night - cozy, romantic, and filled with delectable sushi. Moreover, the staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making sure every aspect of your visit is nothing short of perfection. If you're in the Twin Cities area and craving top-notch sushi in a charming ambiance, Cobble Social House is the place to be. It's not just a meal, it's an experience you won't soon forget!

Yelp
Yummy but limited sushi selection. Cool space. Definitely catering to well heeled customer base.

Yelp
Amazing! Baaska, the sushi chef on site is amazing! Ambience is cool and chill and very intimate setting with very few tables so get in fast to get a reservation! Anything here is good, my fave is the spiteri special Nigiri. Topped with bluefin tuna belly with sea urchin and caviar on top. Just melts in your mouth. Also, cobble is know for their cocktails. I highly recommend the espresso martini or yuz guys order a gimlet? Be prepared for strong cocktails which is a good sign. Definitely other drinks I'd like to try on my next visit.

Yelp
Very cute and aesthetically pleasing cocktail bar and small kitchen restaurant located in the north loop, near Monte Carlo. It is actually very hard to find because their only signage is an eye (see picture), which is actually partially blocked by a wall unless you're not looking at it straight on. Though, once you find it, the place is great (and they have free parking available). We went on a Thursday and got a few drinks for happy hour ($2-$3 off depending on what you get). Our waitress made it very clear (3-4 times) that she had all tables full starting at 6, so we were only able to stay for a little over an hour. But, the service was pretty quick and it felt like enough time. We didn't get any food, but they have a menu with a strong sushi / fish focus. Will have to come back and try their food menu! Would recommend making a reservation as the bar is small and seems to be popular.

Yelp
Looked forward to this sushi house in the warehouse district and it did not disappoint. Look for the painted eye on the side of the exterior building. Literally tried all the chef's special for that week. All very fresh and expertly prepared with an eye for an aesthetically pleasing presentation. Wanted to try nigiri with copious amounts of shaved truffles but alas they sold out. Hands down the best sushi experience in Mn.
google avatar

Marie H.

Yelp
Such a great addition to the Minneapolis sushi scene! The fish was all incredibly fresh and the nigiri flavor combinations were quite unique. The scallop appetizer was slightly underseasoned but everything else was amazing. The chirashi don is probably the best deal considering that it comes with 10 pieces of fish as well as caviar and uni, but don't sleep on the negi toro don! There's basically enough to make 5 hand rolls. The menu is definitely on the pricey side but great for special occasions. I will have to come back to try some of the signature rolls!

Yelp
Such an unexpected surprise! I met some friends at Cobble on a Saturday night while we were all in town for the holidays. We arrived around 10 with no reservation. We ordered some drinks at the bar before being offered a table. The ambiance on the second floor was cool I loved the art work and the dj was playing really good hip hop music the entire time we were there. My group enjoyed a variety of crafted cocktails from the menu including the espresso martini, the mezcal cocktail and the old fashion. While we loved the variety the drinks were not very strong and for the $16-18 each I expected more. I didn't get a chance to try the sushi but the next time I'm home I'll definitely give it a try.

Yelp
Dropped a pretty penny tonight and it was worth it. In a nutshell, if you're a sushi fan, this is a must try. The food was 5/5! Outstanding. The rice was body temp and well seasoned. The fish was immaculate - room temp, perfectly sized for one bite. The donburi was delicious! A little gimmicky but they got me. Only word of caution - $7 fresh wasabi gets you a teaspoon of green tasteless mush. Imo, okay to not try, go for the fake stuff instead. Service was slow. Took 50 minutes for us to get our food. Not sure if that's the usual or if it was because we were the first few customers and we had a large order. In some way it made me and my husband feel like everything was made to order which helped lift our mood and quell our hangry stomachs. Overall, definitely go but anticipate possible slower service.
google avatar

Yelp
Come here if you want the best sushi in the Twin Cities! The fish is sourced from the famous Toyosu Market in Toyko and sooo fresh. Chef Baaska was the head chef at Billy Sushi and this is now all his own. Plates are perfect for sharing. Its a tight space so getting a reservation is a little hard. We took a chance as a walk in and it worked! They have 2 very cute spaces on the balcony for this. 7 piece nigiri was the best with the TSY roll as a close 2nd. Anything on the food menu I'm sure would be amazing. Everything is fairly priced as sushi in this landlocked state is but the quality is worth every dollar. A well hidden secret!
google avatar

Claudia V.

Yelp
Come here for the best sushi of your life. This is not an exaggeration. I've been fortunate to enjoy the sushi/nigiri/sashimi/wagyu Baaska creates. Each piece is meticulously crafted. He uses the highest quality ingredients. The toppings and sauces (when used) allow the fish or seafood flavors to shine. Not only is Baaska extremely talented, he is also a wonderful and kind person. Be sure to make reservations to support Baaska's endeavors.
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Do not come here if you want ordinary sushi. Hands down best sushi in the twin cities. The ambience is intimate and an absolute hidden gem. I definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time since they are becoming more and more popular though some bar walk-ins are available. Indulged in high end ingredients like A5 Wagyu, caviar, toro, truffles, real wasabi and so much more. Chef Baaska, the mastermind behind the incredible food not only brings some of the freshest fish in the Midwest but constantly works towards perfecting his dishes. There are always specials (white truffle was an absolute treat and you should order the dry aged bluefin tuna if it's available). The drinks are also really great - lots of classics for everyone including great non-alcoholic options. Definitely a place to impress or for a treat :)
google avatar

Charlie P.

Yelp
Trendy bar with great drinks! The espresso martini is one of the best! Tried a new York sour as well which was tasty. It is hard to get a table and not a ton of seating options, so you may be standing on a weekend night. There are reservations online but we have usually gone unplanned, this could be a great idea for the weekend though to secure a spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here with a friend after visiting Nickoledon Universe. It's very low key and vibey bar in downtown Minneapolis. Music was great, hip-hop and rap that I appreciated. The owner of was so kind, told him I rode a bad ride at NU and he made me a drink that truly settled my stomach. I was so appreciative. I had to wait a bit but I was able to try and espresso martini that was utterly delicious! All the staff that I encountered were really cool and so were the patrons! That says a lot really. Cobble Social House is a place I'd go back to when I'm in MSP.

Bill L.

Yelp
THE WORST....the bartender said the "F"" word in every sentence....non stop with the "F" word....trying to enjoy an expensive cocktail and all the bartender said is....."F"... so low. The server totally ignored our table Dirty plates stacked up, and empty water glasses. Food was good, however, the bartender and wait staff ruined the night. Stay clear....don't visit.
google avatar

Immaculate I.

Yelp
This spot is such a vibe. I love when I don't have to go searching for parking as they have their own lot. Service has been great one time and terrible the next. I've only been here for drinks so no food review yet. I like that you can tell the server to have the bartender make a drink based on a liquor if you don't see anything on the menu that you like.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the North Loop of Minneapolis. Parking is street parking or lot parking so there is no free parking. Please keep in mind there is no sign pointing out where the restaurant is, it is in the alley right next to the Monte Carlo under the neon eye light, so it is a bit hidden if you don't look carefully. When you enter there is a bar immediately there as well as the host/hostess stand that will seat you in the small space. The staff is nice and welcoming to seat you immediately and go over how the menu works. The restaurant is a bit dim so keep in mind that it is a great place to have a conversation over drinks and food. Food is a little more pricey so it's definitely not a place you would go to a bunch of times. The scallop crudo was fresh, there is a kick from the spices I felt like there might been something missing like a bit more citrus, the creamy salmon was by far my favorite dish, the seafood donburi bowl fish was fresh and the fish was delightful, but the uni was a odd texture. Uni is one of my favorite seafoods and I couldn't tell if it was cooked or smoked but I wish they would've kept it raw since I think it would've added to the beautiful texture of the bowl and the taste. So that threw me off. The seared salmon took was good, and the A5 wagyu nigiri I personally felt like it was cut just a bit too thick since it was seared on top but completely raw at the bottom which is ok, but it was so thick that it was almost not enjoyable. Overall the experience was definitely some place to at least try once, but for the price I would go to other places.
google avatar

Hallie O.

Yelp
Went last night for a drink! It was really good. The atmosphere was really fun. They had a great DJ. The service was also good. The team was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I didn't try the food, but I am sure I will be back some day to do so.
google avatar

Lana T.

Yelp
OVERALL: This is pretty middle of the road for me. A type of place you go once to check it out and feel cool for a bit. I've been here twice thinking my opinion would change but it didn't. SERVICE: I always feel like even on the slowest days, when there's only 1-2 other people, the service is snail speed. The employees here aren't nice, but they aren't outwardly mean either. They just feel cold and not personable. I asked for a drink recommendation and was told "I wrote the whole menu so try again with your question". How off-putting. It feels like the servers here think they're better than everyone else, a little pretentious. I asked about happy hour deals and our server checked his watch and said "only for another 20 minutes." Then I had to re-ask what the deals were. It's $2 off cocktails if you're wondering. DRINKS: They're okay. It looks nice! But not worth the value. FOOD: The tacos were really tasty but not outstanding. PRICE: tacos were $12 for 2 tacos. Drinks were $10-$14 AFTER the HH discount. Not worth the money. Hopefully the service gets nicer and the prices get more reasonable, but until then I'll pass.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and have tried a handful of their drinks and cocktails. Although their menu isn't large, I enjoyed everything I tried. Its never been super busy when I've gone, which is nice for a low key night, and it's pretty easy to grab a seat. My favorite drink so far is the New York sour. The staff are also very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Alaina S.

Yelp
We only came here for drinks but the drinks were amazing! I got the party like it's 1999. It not my usual kind of drink but it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. Not only does it look fun but tastes really good. We came pretty early in the evening but we could tell after dark the ambiance would be even cooler. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Elise M.

Yelp
The unagi bowl was delicious and drinks were good. It's a fun, classy atmosphere for a date night.

Alex N.

Yelp
2nd time here. First time was amazing with lots on the menu. 2nd time the menu changed with only a few sushi rolls and some apps. Service was really slow. 7pm on a Saturday and they had no blue fin. 5 stars if they kept the original menu.

Sharon B.

Yelp
Love this place. Waiter Jordan was lots of fun, and offered the perfect recommendations for cocktails and dinner. The blue fin guacamole is outstanding. Had the chefs choice- Chirash Don and the 10 piece TSY roll. Both were really generous portions so way too much food for two people but would bring friends and order both again! Great music, fun party atmosphere.
google avatar

Megen L.

Yelp
Food is amazing, drinks are wonderful, and ambiance is perfect for an intimate evening. I have not had Japanese food as beautiful as this and will go back for sure. The service was amazing, helping us with recommendations that were spot on. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Cassie F.

Yelp
Blown away by the sushi, drinks, atmosphere and service. Each and every encounter was welcoming and friendly.
google avatar

Aimée D.

Yelp
Ambiance on a Friday night was pre-clubbing energy/vibe of great music and tasty cocktails. The sushi was unremarkable, but the service was great. We'll be back for drinks

S C.

Yelp
Terrible bartender and manager. Unprofessional as well. My girlfriend went to the bar and asked for a glass of chardonnay and the bartender told her that didn't have any but said we have "this" wine and she said ok. He sold her a $33 glass of wine without asking her if it was ok. The old bait and switch. When i spoke to him he was standoffish and the manager was as well. They made no attempt to make it right with her and blew me off. I will never go back here and will tell everyone i know about our experience.
google avatar

Laramie J.

Yelp
Cutest little speakeasy/bar/restaurant, such a vibe. Great drinks, food and service! Will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Katy L.

Yelp
Cobble is certainly a unique ambiance!! I have been here a few times with friends that live close by, who love this place and had a good experience each time. The bartenders are tentative to drinks and check in frequently; the owner is nice! I have tasted a few drinks on the menu and my favorite is the one that comes in the cute little goblet, "el gordita". It's a spicy drink, and I LOVE SPICE! This is a great place to take friends, for the atmosphere and a fun place to chill and socialize a bit before hitting a dance club or other bars in the area! I'm sure we will be back!
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Fantastic speakeasy! Great vibes! Great music! Great drinks! Will definitely come back when in town.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Stopped in attracted to the overall vibe and we were NOT disappointed -- DJ was on his game omg Minneapolis!! The aesthetic completely reminds me of a fav NYC spot -- I'm attracted to the speakeasy-scene and love this urban, tight, amped vibe in my beloved Minneapolis Warehouse District!!!

Carrie H.

Yelp
We used to love this place! It makes me so sad that the drink menu has changed and last time we were in, there was a weird smell that really took away from our experience. We will be back I'm sure but a bummer about one of our favorite places!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Service seems to be getting better overtime. Enjoyed the outdoor space last year - hopefully they can work a deal with the building owner to get that back.
google avatar

Hannah T.

Yelp
The atmosphere and drinks are outstanding, however the food is mediocre. Be weary of the burrito, my friend got sick after eating it. BUT if you stick to just drinks - great time!!
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
I went to Cobble for a girls night and it was great. The atmosphere of this place is calm and inviting. The decor is eye catching and the artwork is amazing. We got a round of drinks and tried out the food, the Tartine was by far my favorite. The presentation of the food makes you not even want to eat it, but once you do it is worth it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, one of my friends wanted to switch her drink and they swapped it out with no questions asked. Can not wait to go back and try something new and see what new artwork they have up.
google avatar

Jillian L.

Yelp
Loved my experience! It was easy to make a reservation online and parking was fairly good. However, it can be tricky to find once you've parked. The entrance is in between Monte Carlo and the painted black brick retail store. The atmosphere was moody and sleek which I love! The drinks and food were amazing! I'd suggest going for the burrito if you are hungry! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable! 10/10 would recommend!

Jieyu Z.

Yelp
Drinks are good but overpriced. Service was very very slow, was about to get our receipt at the bar. Not going back anytime soon

Roger P.

Yelp
Overpriced drinks that are not anything special, the tables are so close to each other that you can't help but overhear other peoples conversations but then again the music is so loud you have a hard time talking with whomever you are with, also hard to find. We visited based on all the positive reviews but had a very below average experience. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
It pains me to write this because I wanted this place to be amazing. To be clear, location, aesthetic and music in the space were great hence 2 stars! All that said; I was with a group of 4 and every drink we had was bad. We had the old fashioned (so watered down and zero flavor), rags n riches (too sweet), French 75 (too sweet and too sour) and finally the drink with ginger beer (sooo sweet). Essentially the drinks were not balanced. I'm hoping with more time to work out the drink menu and for service to improve, things will get better and the space will be comparable to places like Marvel or Parlour which make the North Loop a credible craft cocktail neighborhood. Space and aesthetic = great. The rest = tough.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
I've been to Cobble a few times and had a great experience each time. The bartenders are friendly and the owner, Joe, is there most nights to make sure everyone feels welcome and is enjoying themselves. I have tasted nearly every cocktail on the menu and have honestly enjoyed them all. This isn't your typical Minneapolis spot which I love. It's a mix between cozy, artistic, and energetic vibes. If your looking for cheap drinks, go to Sneaky Pete's. If you're looking for an experience, go to Cobble Social House.
google avatar

Dawn J.

Yelp
We went there without a reservation... but were created and seated promptly upstairs! The drinks were delicious and the music was bomb! We could've stayed longer. Would recommend and definitely will be going again once the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
google avatar

Kallie T.

Yelp
Very fun speakeasy vibes. The inside wasn't open due to covid so they set up tables and heaters in a loading zone. It was a very unique fun ambience and great drinks!
google avatar

DaMarcus Z.

Yelp
Great drinks but a bit over priced. We each got 2 drinks and a Hummus platter and our bill before tip was $80+. I'd recommend grabbing a drink here, just know you're going to pay.
google avatar

Kanan M.

Yelp
Cute spot to grab a drink. Nice ambience - chill vibe, good music (RnB). I only had a glass of wine here on a Wednesday night (while waiting for a table at the Red Rabbit). Prices felt a little high (comparable to NY). My friend ordered a whisky drink that came with a fancy smoked glass presentation that was cool. Good service.
