Yelp
My supervisor brought in some baked goods from here yesterday and they were pretty good. The apple tart was pleasantly delicious as well. The crust was light but flaky, the apples were perfectly cooked and it didn't taste artificial. we also had the chocolate chip cookie; it looked a little burnt on the edges, but I was told it was soft in the center and crunchy on the outside. Looking at the cookie, im kind of surprised they would sell something they kind of burnt... This is why I'm giving the place 3 stars, my supervisor wanted the gluten free brownie instead they gave her a regular brownie. I have a gluten intolerance, I didn't realize this until after I ate the brownie and looked at their menu. If someone is buying a gluten free item please make sure you're giving them the right item. All three desserts looked homemade and tasted great. My only main concern is, if you have an allergy beware of what you're getting and what they're giving you.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the Cobblestone I remember must have peaked in 2012, and after being a long time customer, I will never return. The storefront has always have been overpriced ( par for the course on Court Street & Atlantic Ave) it's not even the worst part of their business model. The worst part is they will overpack portions ( so you pay more for the extra weight) and when you get home you will find your food might be rancid ( have had this specific experience with Quinoa salad, Broccoli & several other roasted veggie side dishes). The staff constantly looks displeased when you ask them questions or take any time trying to decide what to order, and the Manager is usually present during these interactions - but if your not booking him for a large event or a high society Hamptons Classic party over the summer, he's not interested in helping you. Spend your money elsewhere and skip this joint because they are not at all interested in making sure the ordinary neighborhood folks receive a delicious meal or quality customer service.

Yelp
We paid this company close to $1500 for cocktail hour catering for our wedding, the pandemic hit only a couple weeks later so we had to cancel, and they used that as an excuse to keep our money without providing any services or food. Do not work with them they are thieves.

Yelp
Imagine my surprise when I ordered dinner for 6 for $375 when I saw they added a tip of $190....and the food wasn't even good. I spoke to the owner and he felt he deserved that tip. I obviously didn't agree. Buyer Beware!

Yelp
One of my favorite go to options when I realize evening is quickly approaching and there's no dinner plan. A whole chicken and two sides are quickly picked up, and my family of four is fully sated for the price of a Blue Apron meal. It's simple, tasty and efficient, everything I look for in a weekday dinner. And the fact that my super picky kids leave us with no leftovers after Cobblestone is a testament to how delicious it is.

Yelp
$8 for a small slice of cake ? Are you kidding me? Even if you use high quality ingredients that's a rip off! ! Pretentious gentrifiers ruined Brooklyn.

Yelp
Visiting a friend. Thankfully was not too busy as there were few people. Staff did not greet us. Server seemed a bit irritated for some reason. Work on being friendlier. I had cake that was a bit too sweet for my taste. Sandwich was a bit too salty. Good ambiance though. I love the Cobblestone location in Brooklyn. Pricey foods though. High quality but pretentious. Check out the unique foods on the menu.

Yelp
Mhmm. Mhmm mhmm mhmm. I am currently consuming various things from Cobblestone Catering and am so happy. I can't decide what I like more: the kale and chickpea medley (which is so tasty you forget you're eating kale, thank goodness), the sautéed mushrooms, or the wild rice. There is zero meat on my plate and I'm not even mad about it! The boxed meals come with either a roll or a cookie. Get the cookie (obviously.) The oatmeal cranberry ones are awesome. The only thing that gets me about this place is the marketing. Clearly it's primarily a catering operation but they've got such great food inside, I wish they'd broadcast it a bit better. If I'd known they had cold stuff, soup, and sandwiches I'd have stopped in earlier. There's also no real seating so everything is to-go. Which isn't that big a deal. Can't wait to try the sandwiches!

Yelp
Their chicken dinner special is fantastic, it's tough to feed 2 people takeout in this neighborhood for under $30 and I believe on Mondays they run a special where a whole chicken, 2 sides and 2 biscuits comes to $27. The quality of the food is always great. Their soups are also very good. Random things are expensive, for ex. their sweet potato chips are like $6 (but also really really good). Definitely worth stopping in if you want a quick and healthy weeknight meal. Lots of good vegetarian sides too.

Yelp
This is my go-to dinner spot. The lunch special is a great deal at about $9 (1/4 chicken + 2 sides + cookie/bread). The best part is they honor it all day! Their veggie dishes are out of this world, and I've never been disappointed by anything I've had here. The sandwiches are also fantastic. I could eat here every day and not get bored with the choices. I agree with others -- market this place more! The only reason why I knew about this place is because a coworker told me about it, but I never would've stumbled upon it on my own (especially at the old location). It's hard to find a place with healthy, homemade, and fresh to-go dishes. This is what the people want! (especially the Trader Joe's crowd)

Yelp
This review is not about the food, everything I've ordered the handful of times I've been there has been quite good. The one star is regarding the service and how it affected the overall experience, overshadowing the food. The guy in there - slightly tall, light beard, quick to call every women who walks in "Miss" despite age, kids or if they're husband's standing next to them - is wasting his skills as a used car salesmen. If I asked for one item like a quarter piece of duck, I was told he couldn't sell it to me because no one would want the other half. Okay, what about the pork roast a half a pound of that; and, again I was told no with no explanation other than he wouldn't make any money selling it tome that way. I'm sorry then why does the clearly written sign say $20 lb. I should have left then and there as I was beginning to feel unwelcomed. Remembering that I walked in there for some soup for my cold but was tempted by the incredible smells, I went back to that section. When he saw that I wasn't finding what I was looking for, a half pint of the mushroom soup, this charlatan magically grabs one from somewhere behind the counter and says he has less than the carton left but would offer me a deal. Why not just take one of the larger jars and make two half pints???! At this point, I grabbed a different soup and a brownie wanting to get the hell out of there. Clearly, I had a suckers mark on my forehead, he asked if I wanted the cold soup I had hot, which they had just brought out. I said sure and didn't realize until he rung me up that the same soup "hot" was $2 more. I left there with a bitter taste in my mouth their food didn't eradicate. I'm not a person quick to leave a bad review about anything. I believe in the law of averages, some places you eat will be good, some will be bad. But this is one experience you don't expect to have at a the deli-style shop, where items are by weight, this type of distasteful service. Clearly, this establishment has some kind of customer in mind and I, a black female graduate student on a budget, am not it and worst was made to feel it - economically undesirable, economically inferior. Something I hadn't even felt walking into Prada in gym clothes to meet a friend. It's a shame the quality of food doesn't match the quality of service.

Yelp
Cobblestone is great! Super easy to pick up food for the entire family. I love their roasted chicken and the salads are great! I also ALWAYS get my gravy here for Thanksgiving and it is SO good. Have also been to several catered events and they make great passed foods, party sandwiches and other tasty bites. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wonderful menu, wonderful food!! Couldn't rave enough about quality, presentation and quantity. Baby shower for 30 was a great success: made every thing effortless.

Yelp
This joint actually has decent prepared foods, too, and is called Cobblestone Foods, so they're doing themselves a disservice by leaving the title and genre in the catering boxes only. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/05/dining/cobblestone-catering-brooklyn.html?_r=0

Yelp
Do you ever walk into a store, and just know that the food is going to be magical & amazing? Yeah, it's like that. Cobblestone Foods offers an array of home made, delicious grab'n'go goodies for your taste buds to savor. After hearing my friends rant and rave about this spot, we stopped by to pick up some amazing treats that we would later voraciously consume in the comfort of their apartment. My favorites: - The Curried Kale and Chickpea soup was a perfect blend of creamy with a touch of spicy - Their house made tortilla chips were crispy, salty, and good enough to eat on their own - Veggie Meatloaf and the potatoes were awesome! - Kale & Garbanzo salad...because the soup wasn't enough, I wanted more - The beets...because beets are just good, okay? I love that the ingredients labels list about 5 or 6 things for each, and usually stuff you've heard of, like onions, garlic, pepper, oil, etc. No chemical nastiness or "food-like-substances" here. Healthy and delicious! Whee! Can't wait to come back and take some to-go items next time I'm in the hood!

Yelp
Their rotisserie chicken is excellent, but do not miss their soups. Their tomato soup is my favorite. It is vegan and soooo creamy. I checked the ingredients more than once, expecting to find cream and/or cashews, but no. Just good old roasted veggies. The staff is awesome!

Kristy S.

Yelp
Completely mislead and unhappy with a drop off order for some hor d'oeuvres and party snacks. The hor d'oeuvres were unbelievably small and not at all worth the cost. Potato & Pea somosa should specify that they are bite size. We ordered 2 dozen mini truffle grilled cheese sandwiches - they basically cut a full dozen out of what would be a normal size sandwich. It reminded me of tiny pieces you would cut for a 3 year old so they don't choke. Had we anticipated the ridiculously small portions we would have ordered from somewhere else or at least considered doubling the amount. In addition to child size portions, we had to pick up our order even though we ordered from their "drop off menu".We were so embarrassed by the amount of food that we ended up scrambling before the party to prepare more appetizers and ended up ordering from a second restaurant. $250 worth of food was barely enough for 4 people.

Yelp
Cobblestone Foods has great prepared foods! I can say that, because I worked here once upon a time. Also, having worked here, I can attest to its consistency, and I've tried a bunch of things to eat. Needless to say, I never left hungry. The sandwiches are wonderful! They're definitely big and satisfying, for what you pay. They have excellent rotisserie chickens (I love eating chicken skin - in that regard, I'm an expert). Roasted cauliflower is great, as are their other vegetables. They also carry Red Hook eggs - when they're available. Very delicious eggs, with creamy yellow yolks.

Yelp
So basically I haven't written a Yelp review in at least a year and change, but after finding this place on my way home tonight I decided to start writing reviews again for two reasons: 1. I use Yelp literally everyday so it's most likely time I start contributing, and 2. I'm not trying to be dramatic but I think this place might have just changed my life. The thing is, I really love to cook but barely ever have time or the occasion to do it, and this place makes it completely unreasonable for me to ever go to Chipotle out of laziness again. I stood there for what felt like about 6 or 7 months trying to decide what to get. I narrowly avoided buying the tomato soup and all the cheese I could carry home to make the ultimate grilled cheese/soup combo, instead opting for the roasted sweet potatoes (perfect) which the very cool guy at the counter let me try first before committing to (top marks, sir), the blackened salmon (about as good as plain salmon can be, but that one was a health call), and the haricots verts, which were really fresh and good. In summation: it's simple, friendly, fresh/healthy, incredibly satisfying, fairly priced, and I'll be back at the counter tomorrow night.

Yelp
Food is always delicious, the staff is super friendly, never disappointed, and priced well, especially for fresh food in the area of cobble hill. Keep up the great works!

Yelp
Overpriced not very exciting food and staff don't seem to know whats in the dishes- they're friendly but pretty unhelpful.

Yelp
Hello there, I remember our last visit. In my mind, Cobblestone Foods hold the key to New York City's finest pickles award. How could it be that pickles are $8.99? Well, they are proudly hand-packed in Brooklyn and did I mention that they are made with all natural ingredients: cucumbers, apple cider vinegar, water, sea salt, chili, garlic and natural spices. What more could we want? One could find out more about them at www.brooklynbrine.com. In case that you get bored of these awesome pickles, there is another option, McClure Pickles which boast a stronger spicy flavor. This means that I should revisit to find out if McClure beat Brooklyn Brine in the burn factor. I went in here earlier today to buy a jar of rye whiskey pickles. A charming lady in the back behind the glass display smiled at me and asked me if I needed help and I nodded yes. A man suddenly appeared at my right to answer my questions. Unfortunately, it was my disappointment to find they were all sold out of them. It was as if others had discovered the same magic in the pickles. Well, minus one star for not having more of Brooklyn Brine in stock and also for not having clear price tags so I had to inquire on specific items. It was really funny to ask the gentleman how much does the Ronnybrook cost, since Blue Marble was only listed, and then how much does the jar of preserves cost, since the sign was missing or gone. I did not want to hassle him twice in a row, but there are some items left unlabeled. Or does it mean that the price varies according to season? I also purchased a jar of apricot orange preserves for $7.99, and coffee ice cream from Ronnybrook for $6.99. And good news, they accept credit card. I should mention that I noticed that they have other ready-to-eat items which look great. I was more elated to see that they sell Manchego for $10.50 per half pound. I absolutely am a huge fan of this Spanish cheese and might just go it for a quarter pound of it. I mean how much cheese could I really eat in a month. Not that much I believe. I also saw rare pastas and delicious bottles that one would find in an Italian delicatessen. Well, nevertheless, I will be back Cobblestone Foods to rescue myself yet another jar of rye whiskey pickles, since my love for these particular pickles goes beyond a price tag.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab lunch to go. Lots of options - veggies, meats, and starches. The salmon burgers were just out of the oven so I opted for that sandwich, which came with a small side - I chose honey roasted carrots (good amount of food for $12). I couldn't resist the cheddar chive bisquit and it did not disappoint...so light and fluffy. I will be back to try the sweets - several southern classics: red velvet, carrot, lemon bundt cake and deep dish apple pie.

Yelp
Cobblestone has delicious lunch and dinner options. The hot sandwiches (served with a side!) are great, especially the buffalo chicken and lamb. Sides range from down-home goodness with a gourmet twist, to greenmarket fresh veggies. The pralines are a special treat.

Yelp
It is close to our daughter's school so we stop often on our way home. We love their rotisserie chicken and their choices of side dishes. Plus, they have nice cookies and sometimes they have deals such as buy 3 and get 4th free (or something similar). If you don't feel like cooking, it's a good alternative for your dinner time to time.

Yelp
I m writing this review now months after I used their service because I just could not not say anything about it. I contacted them for a drop off catering for my 3 months old baby s baptism. It was so difficult to get them on the phone. the guy simply told me yeah ok we re available for drop off that day, let's communicate over email... and that was email communication was a pain... I should have already picked up on the red flags. It took forever to get any answers and got the confirmation of my order the evening before my event and there was items missing... how? I simply wrote the exact names from their menu but thankfully they confirmed what was missing and here comes the day of the event. I go to church for my daughter s baptism and the food is delivered during my absence and ready/almost ready to be served. I come back home with all of our guests only to find out that my main dishes were missing all their sides. Ex: the herb grilled chicken was suppose to come with a sauce and bulgur salad... only got the grilled chicken. My asparagus were suppose to come with a sauce and some nut or however they were supposed to prepare. I got grilled asparagus at $16 a pound... And so on and so on.. at that moment i have all my 20 guests and barely enough food yet I have already paid $800 dollars for this shit and I found myself in the kitchen cooking instead of enjoying my daughter s party. After the event I contacted him to find out what happened and he replied back... "oh I thought you just wanted those items like that" How?! I simply wrote the titles from their menu... they didn't have a problem understanding the amuse bouche part or the dessert so why couldn't they understand the mains?! I asked for a partial refund and I didn't get any answers... a few days later I got an email with a "Would you like me to call you" Really??? If you really cared you would have called and tried to fix it. Not pretend you want to call. I m sure I was just a small client so he couldn't give a damn about it... Needless to say I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
The lunch special is incredible, and you can order it any time of day. (And cheaper than ordering by the pound). The lamb sandwich is unlike any I've ever had and all their sandwiches come with a side included in the price.

Yelp
Cobblestone is is my favorite place for lunch or dinner to-go! I pick up the chicken dinner for my family of four once a week and usually stop by a few times a week to get dinner or lunch for myself. If I'm having company over, I pick up the entire meal from Cobblestone (or if I'm making the main dish, I'll get all my sides from them). Everything tastes like homemade but way way better. My favorites are the chicken, tuna salad, salmon, carrot ginger soup, guacamole, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, roasted fennel. ps even their in-house chips are delicious.

Katie H.

Yelp
I used to walk by this place and never went in until about 3 weeks ago. Ever since then, I have been in at least 3x a week. I cannot believe I missed out on all of the years I lived in this neighborhood. It is BY FAR the best prepared food store I have been to in the area. My kids love the chicken fingers (all organic and good quality ingredients) and the mac and cheese. They also have been eating the banana bread/zucchini muffins for breakfast. Knowing I have this healthy food at my fingertips is making my life so much easier during a busy and stressful time for me. PS they also have a program where if you instagram their food and tag them, they send you a code for 20% off your next order in the store. I am using mine today!

Yelp
been meaning to write this belated review since Thanksgiving... we decided for the first time to outsource our Thanksgiving Dinner -- and we're never going back. Cobblestone Catering was superb. Super easy to order, a robust menu, and our biggest fear - that in outsourcing, we were bound to compromise on quality- was unfounded! Cobblestone was even better than our dishes (and we think highly of our dishes!) HUGE time saver, stress saver and very reasonably priced. We'll definitely be doing this again.

Yelp
Everything is amazing. The hairy counter guy is awesome and the food is really fantastic.

Yelp
The couscous salad and pesto pasta is so delicious. They have a great lunch deal! 3 sides plus (or a meat and 2 sides) a cookie or roll for about 8-9 dollars. The roasted chicken is also good.

Yelp
A truly 10/10 experience. We used Cobblestone for our wedding on August 25th and can't say enough good things about the entire experience! From the moment we were introduced to them they went above and beyond our expectations. Rachel in particular was truly a delight to work with - always responsive, flexible with our menu change requests, and willing to do whatever it took to make sure we were happy. We had at least 20+ guests comment on how great the food was, too!

Anastasia T.

Yelp
I was lured by the sign that said "We are GMO free". I thought this place should have something gluten free for me to eat. So I ask what kind of flours were in the one cookie that was supposed to be gluten free. I asked 2 people and finally got the manager who had major attitude. He said he didnt know what flours were used. I explained that many gluten free eaters had multiple sensitivities like to corn or soy or almond flour. He just kept repeating "Its gluten free" but with an attitude as if I was too demanding to ask him details about what I was eating. I will never come here again. Everyone was rude and they clearly dont care about the quality of their food or what goes into it. The correct response was to be apologetic and to promise to learn about their ingredients. I dont appreciate people who jump on the gluten free bandwagon to make some cash and have no idea what they are doing

Yelp
Yay ! :D Cobblestone Catering, so good so far. First time here, and already, I think I'm impressed. I haven't really tried their meals/dishes due to the price tag, but there is an item I like, and it deserves the 4 stars, basing the review on it as well. WOOHOO ! (ONLY CON : Can be expensive. Yup. Even if I didn't have a budget it'd still be a tad expensive for the area and amount you're getting .-.) Don't get me wrong though, it's still really good quality and flavor, as of what I've tasted. But, hear me out. I don't know if it's just me, but the Housemade Chips ( $5 ) are awesome-eeeee! Considering that the chips are housemade and they give you alot + even at farmers markets way smaller amounts of chips are the same price, it's a good deal. I haven't had the sweet potato or tortilla ones because I prefer just regular potato chips, but the housemade chips are so good. They taste like potato chips, but different. I don't know how to explain it, I just somehow like the flavor of them a lot. The chips are seasoned with the perfect amount of salt as well. (I know it's just chips, but c'mon, I honestly really like them, so 4 stars :O) Staff / Service wise, the people working here seemed really friendly ^_^ Overall, if you're looking for great housemade food such as the chips compared to your everyday processed foods, Cobblestone is a good choice :D

Yelp
This place is hit or miss, and recently it has been all misses. On my last visit, it was literally raining IN the kitchen. This didn't seem to phase the kitchen staff, as they continued to work in the less-than-sanitary conditions, serving up dish after dish as the brown water poured in from the ceiling. Call me crazy, but I couldn't stomach buying anything that day. I used to buy their delicious soups, but more often than not, the soup had gone bad. A quick glance at the temperature gauge on the fridge provided the answer: the temperature was nestled comfortably in the mid-50s, the perfect temp for bacteria to multiply. Don't get me wrong, I love kombucha as much as the next person, but let's stick to tea, I can do without fermented pea soup. It also pains me to mention that their cookies, once a mainstay of my diet, occasionally have a soapy aftertaste. Sure, cleanliness is next to godliness, but I want my cookies to be sinfully delicious. The bread is usually pretty good, if not a bit overpriced, but the selection is pretty limited, so get there early. My last remark has to do with the age of some of their products. While crowd pleasers like Brussels sprouts and carrots are rarely around for long, some of the less popular/frequented items can sit in the cooler for days on end. And buy the retail goods at your own risk, many of the items are covered in a thick layer of dust with faded labels to match. The moral is: choose wisely. Buy what's fresh and avoid the rest. And no, everything is not made fresh on a daily basis.

Yelp
This is my new favourite spot to grab lunch or pre-prepared food for dinner. Not only is it headed by the coolest woman I have met in a long time, the food is delicious. Their soups are out of this world! They're all dairy free (no cream/milk) and taste so smooth and unctuous. And so tasty!! I also got a gluten free cookie which was amazing. They truly have something for everyone, whether you're vegan, gluten free of just love amazing fresh food.

Yelp
We used Cobblestone Foods for our wedding recently. Meghan, who coordinates their events, helped us come up with a menu of hors d'ouevres that was both budget friendly and luxurious. The bruschetta, especially, was a huge hit! I was able to feed my entire wedding ample hors d'ouevres (about 130 guests) for under $5,000-- including 2 servers, a bartender, soft drinks, linens, chairs, set-up, and take down. I would recommend them for any upcoming event.

Yelp
The only preparation I made well before Super Sunday was to secure my growler of #9 from the beer distributers on Court Street. After work Sunday I missed my train and had to secure some quick vittles for the game without much time to spare before kick-off. Poor, poor planning on my part, I know. Where to go in this hood of eatery after eatery? As I walked along near deserted Court from Boro Hall, crossing Atlantic Avenue, I decided on Cobblestone Foods, and I am quite glad I did. I promised Mike, employed there since October, that I would write a review of his newly developed sandwich. I forget its name, but at twelve dollars I was a little taken a back. "Are you really hungry?" Mike asked. He read the look on my face and proceeded to sell me on the best sandwich not made in my kitchen since a Brie on Baguette I had for lunch one early June day in the south of France. Ah, Antibes...but that's another story. Back to the sandwich. First I must say a few things about what I find essential to a great Sammy. I prefer quality over quantity. Two slices of mediocre bread stuffed with sub-par meat so you can't get your mouth around it and slathered with mayo, mustard, or any other condiment designed to mask the fact that you are eating the least expensive cut of meat poorly prepared in the most un-loving of methods is a recipe for acid reflux just thinking about it. I don't like the sandwich dripping onto my hands so that it takes a roll of paper towels to get through, and by the end I have to use a knife and fork if I want to finish it at all. I expect every bite to be packed with flavor and balanced. That being said- The Sandwich that I missed kick off for while waiting for it to be made..."Brisket, roasted 20 hours," Mike said. Or something like that. I wasn't thinking brisket when I walked in, I was thinking pork. Pulled, spare ribs, loin, chop...anyway...Brisket? Slow cooked and then chilled and then grilled to warm it slightly, topped with sautéed onions and a special dressing which Mike got very cagy about when we started talking exact ingredients. His eyes opened wide and his full beard bristled as he mentioned the word "Barbecue". "OK, sold." I said, my stomach doing flip flops. "And give me the last spare rib," I said not completely convinced I would be satisfied. It seemed like it took forever to make, and when it was done, the size disappointed me a little. For twelve bucks I expected a freaking loaf of bread instead of a hero roll. But Mike gave me what was left of the Cole slaw as my side, and he could probably sell ice to Eskimos, so I grabbed my bag of food, shook Mike's hand as he introduced himself and made me promise I would write a review, and sped to the TV and my Super Sunday. I got home. Shed my coat, set up my table, poured my beer, and laid out my food choices. I started with an appetizer of sorts, one bite into the spare rib to satisfy my Jones for pork. Took a swig of brew and then opened the foil to The Sandwich. The main event. It was expertly cut in half all the way through, a squared eight inch cibatta roll packed with thick slices of brisket. Not the brisket of my youth, the stuff warming on steam tables floating in its own juices at bars like McCann's that catered to the working class on a half hour lunch. I took a look at the cross section, all I could see was meat. I took a bite, wondering if I was biting into shoe leather, dry and tough or... so fatty that all you could wonder was where's the beef? What I got was a perfect bite of bread, brisket, onions and sauce. The meat melted in my mouth. It was so tender with just the perfect amount of juicy-ness, the onions, perfectly caramelized, sweet and accented with the lightest touch of barbecue sauce. Every bite was packed with these intensely rich flavors and textures from first amazing bit to last. I ate it slowly. Present with each chew. It took two and half pints of beer to wash down. That's how I kept myself from wolfing it up and being sad afterward that it was gone. No part of it leaked out onto my hands or table. It was perfect. Satisfyingly rich. I am making myself hungry just writing about it. Thanks Mike. You sold me a quality product. I will be back. I might never order that sandwich again because I don't know if that level of perfection can ever be repeated, but I will be ordering every other sandwich on your menu.

I stumbled upon this place and it is an exceptional deli. I have tasted the lamb, the catfish, the shepherds pie, the chicken, the soups, all the sides, and some of the sweets. The quality is always is excellent, and the quantity is generous. Is knowledgeable and seems very pleasant. This place is worth the extra you may pay.

Yelp
Cobblestone just provided the catering for our largely DIY wedding in Brooklyn and we were rewarded not only with amazing food (meat eaters and vegans all equally happy) but also the comments by many that this was the best food they've had at a wedding. The Chicken Romanesco and the grilled try-tip were amazing, as were the salads and vegetables. Everything was presented beautifully for the self-service as well. Thank you for helping us to keep our wedding all in the neighborhood and thanks for letting us feed the guests that travelled so far. We were very happy with the experience! Make Cobblestone your first call.

Yelp
Medicore food at best and the manager (owner?) is totally unpleasant. Same overall experience as a bodega.

Yelp
Cobblestone catering is incredible. The most talented team and the most delicious food. I cannot praise them enough for giving us the most wonderful wedding ever! We were married upstate and had tried numerous caterers up there, as well as in the city (including Abigail Kirsch who is overpriced, but doesn't really have any character to their food) and we were just so impressed by the attention to detail and quality. They were also always willing to work with us on price. Do not use any caterer but cobblestone. They are a gem.

Yelp
SO YUMMY! OK, I know it's an indulgence in this economic climate, but Cobblestone Foods is totally worth it. I hate (repeat HATE) most cooked vegetables. I find them slimy and gross and unappetizing. But I cannot get enough of the carrots at Cobblestone - they are worked over with honey and they make me forget that I am eating something that is sorta good for me. Don't even get me started on the brussel sprouts! Holy Cow! My own dear mother would BOIL the damn things and cover them with a concoction that was 1 part mayo, 1 part sour cream (and you wonder why I didn't like them?) but the ones here are roasted to perfection, seasoned well, and do not mask the actually lovely flavor of those little green brains. I don't have kids, but I think this would be a good way to get the lil' ones to eat the veggies, or at least a way to get them to start liking them. Anything is better than being scared of sprouts dunked in sour cream for 20 years...

Yelp
Their warm sandwiches are underwhelming, but their prepared food is usually solid. It is way overpriced, however ($10.50/lb for mac and cheese? $14/lb for veggies?), considering that what they offer is basically a small notch above the Whole Foods hot bar. The best option is the rotisserie chicken dinner or the 1/4 chicken lunch special that comes with 2 veggies and a cookie. That rotisserie chicken can be a challenge to eat with the plastic utensils they give you, though; better bring a knife from home. :) Also, one of their chicken curry sandwiches might have given me food poisoning...

Yelp
I live across the street from this place so started going over the past few months. While the food is generally ok, I find them to be very deceptive in their pricing and portion control. Every time (and i mean literally every time) I've asked for .5 lb of something, they fill it to almost a whole pound and without telling me (or same with .25 lb to .5 lb). I began to notice and when i've said something they say "oh sorry it was a littler over". A little over is if you give me .54 instead of .5, not when you give me .96. Since this happens every time and nothing like this happens at the deli counter at the supermarket, I suspect its a company practice as they obviously need to sell/get rid of as much food as possible each day. I don't mean to be a penny pincher but its very frustrating because one time I did not notice and I couldn't finish the nearly pound of side I ordered and had to throw it out. Recently I was in there and asked about a piece of chicken and they said oh its about $5. Yeah that turned out to be $9. I don't think i'll be returning here anymore.

Yelp
The food is expensive as hell but it is fresh and good. The lunch specials are good, especially the sandwich and small side options, which I believe are on Mondays. There is a special for each day of the week and the cake, oh the cake is soooooo good. Yeah, it's $7 a slice and yeah it's not a big slice, but it's worth at least one buy.

Yelp
I would have given Cobblestone three and a half stars if possible but the whole chicken dinner with two sides moved it to four. It's a good deal and the chicken is nice and moist. Yesterday, I picked up three sandwiches. Two of those were good, especially the one on baguette with Italian meats. The Brie and ham one was not edible. It was so cold that neither the ham nor the Brie had any flavor but the main problem was that there was so much strong mustard that it was painful to eat. ( I do like strong good spicy mustard.) I figured I would wait for the sandwich to warm up a bit and I would remove the bread side with all the mustard and eat the sandwich open-faced but there was also so much mustard on the remaining bread slice that it was still overwhelming the rest of the ingredients. A few days earlier, I had gotten their warm Banh Mi sandwich and that was really wonderful. In general, the veggies at Cobblestone are good, albeit a bit pricey. $12/ LB for brussel sprouts for example. I do still get them as they are perfectly roasted. Also, could you please please please bring back your mushroom dish or have it more often?

Yelp
It's all take away, so there's no where to sit and eat. Had their catfish po'boy and it was fantastic! They have a lot of great prepared foods. Really, really good. Friendly service. Great neighborhood place. Mondays are a $1 off all hot sandwiches!
