Stopped in real quick since our hotel room was not ready, my youngest and I LOVE space so this was right up our alley. It's smaller than the space station in Huntsville, but also less crowded and doesn't charge the "top up" fees (i.e., the planetarium, the rocket room, the flight simulator pods were all included in the admission price).

We went here with my kids (6yo, 2yo) and they both had a blast. It's not too big, but has a shuttle nozzle front and center, some neat interactive for all ages, a planetarium, and an Odyssey mission! It was a great little stop that had plenty of learning things for parents and littles!

Google
this place was SOOOOO AWESOMEEEE!!!!! They have so many cool things- flight simulator, space shuttle simulator, planetarium and many other wonderful things to see. The price to get it is $8 i believe. I had the best time here, the workers there were awesome and the whole place was just a nerd out fest for me and it was absolutely amazing and I recommend going here if you love space or just want to learn how we got there and what happens on the ISS. Also this is great for any age, i went with my boyfriend and his parents and my grandfather and ALL of us had an absolute BLAST!

Google
We loved Mrs. Bridget! My boys and I have spent a lot of time at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. This one was smaller but SO MUCH fun for my 3 and 5 year old! The simulations were a blast and we loved the planetarium movie on the affects of space on an astronaut’s body. 10/10!

Google
It very small but the kids had fun plus you pay and can come back all day so you could go enjoy lunch somewhere downtown and come back the prices were so family affordable the staff were so amazing wish it was bigger but it was a nice interesting place

Very friendly employees, wonderful thorough greeting at the door and great exhibits!

Took 5 of my grandchildren, age ranging from 5 to 16. They said this is their favorite museum. We visit a lot. Plenty of interactive things to do. The Plantaterium show was fabulous. Very educational and even had things that made the 5 year old laugh.

Google
Nice little museum to introduce kids to space. I carried 5 and 9 yo grandkids. Any kid over 12 will become bored quickly. We stayed about 2 hours. Parking was close and free. Cost around $30 for 2 SC and 2 kids.

Yelp
A cute little museum in downtown Columbus. It's on the water, and a great space to see real and replica space shuttle pieces. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable when we asked questions. I do wish it was a little bigger but you can't beat it for the price. We really enjoyed the space shuttle experience!

Yelp
The Science Center hosts community nights wherein they give a presentation in the planetarium with the constellations and the night sky. They then bring out the telescopes so attendees can see which astronomical features that are visible. It's a lovely facility, and a lovely service to the community.

Yelp
Could be fun for anyone younger than 8. Pretty small. In a nice part of town but not much to offer for anyone older than 8.

Yelp
It was nice to see information about NASA and space. I just wish the screen and the videos shown were clearer. They did make a change in the video without notice and that was a bummer. I wish there were more interactive things to do, for all age groups. The admission prices are great and if you are in Columbus, GA, it is a must do. It is located in Historic Columbus and it is beautiful.

Yelp
A small little place. Great for a rainy day with the kids or just something to do to get out of the house!

Yelp
They don't question folks about masks! Some people wore them, some didn't. I GREATLY appreciate that! We were there for about an hour and a half. I've lived in Columbus my entire life and this was my first time visiting. It wasn't badly priced, and the activities inside did not cost extra, which was very relieving! For younger kids, I'd probably advise against going. Maybe ages 7 or 8 and up would be more interested in the exhibits. It didn't get the 5th star simply because it seems like the exhibits are not changing and there wasn't a good amount of younger-kid-friendly things (I saw someone said there was a kids area, but we didn't see one.) They have some shows that play in the planetarium every week that are based on age range. We saw the Earth, Sun, & Moon children's show. It was pretty cute and gave great explanations! As an adult, I learned a lot! The Odyssey simulation seems older, so don't expect what you experience at Disney or even newer facilities. There was a sign about motion sickness, but all it really did was vibrate. It didn't keep the 5-year-olds attention after the first 3 minutes. I'd give it a 3/5. The outside of the simulator looks like the shuttle and had screens where you could push buttons to listen to different parts of takeoff, but it was super hard to see with the glare and we could barely hear it. The Rovers were fun! They only had 2 of the 3 running - which I attribute to 'rona. I'm not sure if they are battery operated or what, but one of them got stuck several times. I think they need a bit of maintenance. There was a green screen you could stand in front of to get pictures in front of different backgrounds that would cycle through. There were TONS of backgrounds. There was some kind of jet simulator as well. If you buckled the seatbelt, it would move when you steered using the joystick. Or if you don't buckle up, it is stationary. I played that twice and didn't do very well at all. Trying was fun though! The exhibit items were cool to see, however the 5-year-old was not interested. They also have a small gift shop with reasonably priced items. They had t-shirts starting at $12, some astronaut food, toy shuttles ($6), posters, and smaller toys.

Yelp
Arrived today Dec. 24, 2018. The website said they were open however upon arrival, we found a sign on the door that read they are closed through the 1st. of January. Was excited to visited and very disappointed in the lack of correct information.

Yelp
Awesome experience. The planetarium show was amazing and very educational and kept my kids engaged. It is a small facility but a lot to do. The staff was very friendly and answered all my kids questions. We spent about 2.5 hours there and my kids loved it and I learned a lot as well.

Yelp
I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised at the quality and number of exhibits in the lobby area, for such a small (and inexpensive!) space center. Regular admission is $3-$6 I think, but they are part of the ASTC passport program (http://www.astc.org/sciencecenters/passlist_about.htm) so we got in free, woo! Plenty of cool stuff to do and see here; everything appears to be pretty new, there's lots of technology being used for the exhibits (versus walking around reading stuff and looking at pictures, which holds the interest of the little ones for about 0.2 seconds), and most of it is in pretty decent working order still. Included in the price of admission are a set of 4 fighter jet simulators (two weren't working when we did them, but I later saw all four running just fine so maybe they just needed a reboot?) that are networked so you can play against your friends, a shuttle landing simulator which isn't nearly as easy as it looks (I haven't had a successful landing yet), 4 remote control "mars rovers" (though only 2 were functional) with a neat little landscape to drive them around in, a green screen that lets you be the weather forecaster (pro tip - a bright green hoodie on your kid makes this a LOT more fun than it should be - ahhhh, floating heads!!! *laughing*), an infrared imaging display with a working camera and monitor, plus some interactive displays on the space shuttle, the planets, rocket launches, etc, and a tiny little gift shop as well. According to the website there's a solar telescope there somewhere, but I forgot to ask about it (sacrilege!) and there wasn't any obvious signage so I'm not sure if it's open to the general public or not. There is also a planetarium here with a few different features showing throughout the day, every hour. Our discounted ASTC rate was three bucks a head, but I'm sure it can't be much more than that full price. The dome itself is big and beautiful and fabulous, but the seating arrangement is almost all a little too far forward for my liking. And the guy doing the shows didn't say JACK to us, which is a far cry from the awesome planetarium experience I'm used to at home (review forthcoming, haha). All in all, a great way to spend the afternoon if you find yourself in Columbus that won't break the bank, even at full price. And even if you're not a huge space geek like I am. Ahem. :)

Yelp
Great place to bring your family and kids. It is small, but there is a lot to do for its size and the price is very reasonable. Also, the staff are actually science major students (astrology, etc) at the columbus state university! So if you have any question, ask away! They show movies hourly that are very educational, and their telescope/astronomy classes are fantastic and keep your attention the entire time. A new showing starts every hour. There is a telescope that was being installed when I visited, but talking to the employees it seems like it will be a fun addition to the museum. The museum also offers astronomy classes on the weekends (nights) taught by an astrology professor at the Columbus State University. From what I understood, the classes are conducted at locations outside Columbus to mitigate light pollution from the city. If I was not passing through, I would attended it for sure!

Yelp
This place was great for almost 2 hours of fun with the husband and 4 yr old. Price isn't too bad for what you get! We got there about an hour before the Sesame Street movie which was really cute and geared towards kiddos. I was surprised it really was "dead" with almost no visitors. The employees are so sweet and helpful. Lots of interactive exhibits in a well sized space. Gift shop has GREAT pricing on little space themed toys for the kiddo.

Yelp
Love it! Our older kids are closing on 5 yrs old and so I imagine they will enjoy even more as they grow. The science center is informative, fun, educational and a great afternoon activity. We will be back often I am sure!

Yelp
When you first walk it, it's a little disappointing cuz theres definitely not as much stuff as you would expect in a museum BUT everything that they do have it pretty legit and interactive. As two adults, my bf and I had a blast playing in their flight simulator game, messing around with the weather cam, and trying to navigate the remote control trucks on "the moon". Totally worth a visit but just a heads up - it literally has nothing to do with coca cola.

Cam B.

Yelp
I can't believe coca cola placed their name on this! The center is about 700 square feet if that.... I was expecting major technology and what I got was major disappointment. My son missed a field trip here so we took him on an off day..... What a waste of time. We had more fun at the Infantry museum which is free besides giving a donation. I hope they are giving the admission fee to charity because it is so sad to charge so much for nothing.:((((((((( I wish I could give zero stars! Don't waste your time especially if you are traveling from out of town.

Yelp
Small but the price was right on!. They also give a student and military discount. Very hands-on and interactive. Fun downtown afternoon!

Yelp
My husband and I had the opportunity to host our son's 2nd birthday party here. Our challenge was to provide a party location that could be convenient to both our families, as they live far away from each other. We chose this location because it was midpoint between the two families. We were so impressed with the staff and their hospitality. The museum is perfect for a kids party. The party room was a great size for 30-35 guests. The party came with an Omnisphere Theatre Show (Sesame Street). The show was a little slow going, but the kids were excited to see some of their favorite Sesame Street characters. The party room included six tables and chairs. We brought our own decorations, however the room already had space themed décor hanging from the ceiling and on the border of the walls. There was access to a refrigerator to keep drinks and ice cream cool. We ordered pizza and had it delivered to the venue, which turned out perfect. There were simulators that guests could get into, artifacts, a gift shop, and the theatre. The location of the Center is right on the Riverfront, which made for a great opportunity for guests to walk the river after the festivities. Our son loves to run, so after the party we said our goodbye's to guests on the lawn out front. Overall, we truly enjoyed ourselves and our families enjoyed also. This place will definitely become our new family meeting spot. We can't wait to return and host many other functions here.

Yelp
Cool, just small and no control of local kids, they run around unattended and rude. Besides that if you go at the right time when it isn't crowded with to many bratty kids it's a blast

Crystal B.

Yelp
Eh. I don't know if this place is worth the admission price. We tried to watch one of their movies but the weird intros just made us nauseous. There's not a lot to see here and we were expecting a more interactive place. The simulation was neat. It's a nice place, just a little disappointed there wasn't more to it.

Yelp
I thought there was going to be more. Still pretty interesting and great for kids but not as excited as I expected. The planetarium is by far the best part and there are a lot of shows to choose from.

A R.

Yelp
Highly Recommend! Cannot recommend this place enough! So much for the kids to see, do and touch. Staff went out of their way. It is clean, fun and extremely entertaining! We'll be back!

Daniel J.

Yelp
Out from jersey, was looking for anything to do in the area and read about this place. It's a lot smaller than I expected but there's definitely some cool things to do like the simulators. Good for a one time trip.

Anthony D.

Yelp
This place was awesome. So much stuff to do! I wanted to do everything just as much as my 9 year old son. If your kid or yourself has any intrest in science then this place is for you. Its cheap and a great enviornment for fun learning. Everything is hands on. They have a Green Screen for weather, Jet Fighter Simulators, Space Shuttle landing simulator, a Observatorium, and so much more.
