Cochino Taco Comes to South Broadway | Eater Denver

"A second location has opened in the Baker section of South Broadway, offering the same playful, vibrant aesthetic and menu as the original Englewood outpost. Known for gourmet tacos and fun snack items such as frito pie and green chili cheese tater tots, the operation traces its roots to a 2016 start inside a former gas station at 3495 South Downing Street. The new spot retains the existing bar from the space's prior tenant and features a large patio that the owner envisions could eventually host live music." - Paul Albani-Burgio

Super fun neighborhood taco spot! Solid happy time menu. I’m not usually a frozen margarita gal but Cochino is the exception. Several choices— Paloma, new frozen coconut, can’t beat the house option either. You can even get them to go!! Great value on top of it all.

I feel we may have had new staff and servers this time at Cochino Taco, as there were mistakes that I don't remember from our first visit. Spilling water on me and then not cleaning it up from the menu and table is pretty bad, though. I feel the flavors and textures were all over the place too. The standard beef taco was very bland, not even meeting expectations found in a fast food order. The veggie taco was extremely salty, and the more interesting sounding items on the menu (la lengua, pork ears, etc.) also had a lack of flavor that could have lended to the cultural uniqueness of the dishes. The tongue was nicely tender and the freshly crisped shells we delightful. Attention was paid to presentation, and that was another highlight for us.

I love it here. Gabby, Lisa, Joel and Dayna are the best. They always give me the best served cold cans of Modelo. It never disappoints. I highly recommend the wings here, but everything on the menu is great.

Y'all need to appreciate what you have, here. Cochino Taco consistently has excellent food, great service, and hands-down the best happy hour in the quad-state area. Quad state? Yeah, you heard me. Bring it on, New Mexico. Cochino is the only place to have ever upgraded my beloved double decker taco (Shaggy Style!) and the margs are strong and tasty. We'll be back, again, and again, and again...

This has consistently been a neighborhood staple for our family, ever since they fell from heaven in all their pig-lovin' glory in 2016. It's one of the longstanding places with quality food that doesn't burn a hole in our pockets. Their HAPPY HOUR, Holy Moses... it includes excellent deals on both drinks AND food, and it is forever long, every day of the week (11AM until 6 PM, 7 days a week)! One pair of their crunchy chicken tacos, shaggy style, with a coconut margarita is the way to go, man. Or, even the nachos, (though I leave off the mention of the "evil," cuz who needs more of that in their lives). :) I just tried their fish tacos last night, and the fish was so tender, with just enough of the grill taste and fun sauces on top (try the jalapeño crema, but not if you're a weenie for spice). It's all been fantastic. They introduced me to one of my loves—cotija cheese—and they allow me to escape cilantro whenever I want (which is always). It's a fun all-weather patio spot, because they've fine-tuned the temperature control—even in the winter. We are huge fans of family-friendliness, which they have also mastered with their kids menu (hello taco trucks!). This deserves far more stars than 4.2 IMHO! Here's my attempt at shattering that falsehood! HUZZAH! 5 STARS FROM ME! * * * * *

The environment and staff is great. The food tastes pretty good. The only issue I have is the corn tortillas seem like they came straight from a wrapper with no caliente!! Not even cooked! It’s like who would serve cold fries with a burger.

Food was oddly lukewarm. Restaurant was filled with bees. Dog friendly. Food was quite mid in flavor. I waited 5min to be seated when restaurant was fairly empty. I wish I had more details but I ate there nearly a year ago and those were my only details recalling.. Ohhh. Parking is limited.

The most classic happy hour spot in Englewood. You can’t beat their happy hour margarita prices. The frozen Paloma is my favorite and they don’t skip out on the alcohol like a lot of places. Perfect balance of sweet and strong. Their service is fine, nothing bad, but their servers never seem happy unfortunately. The food does the job, nothing spectacular but just what you need to pair with a strong drink.
