Amazing homemade ice cream with both boozy and non-boozy options. Huge list of flavors that are constantly changing with the seasons. Everyone is always super friendly and welcoming. They also have a bar area with delicious craft cocktails. A friend and I stopped in last night. Tami did not disappoint with her attention to detail and finishing touches on our drinks! We ordered the banana bread old fashioned and pumpkin spice espresso martini. She went above and beyond. Both drinks were amazing. The vibe is nice with music, games, and photo ops inside and rocking chairs out front. This is the kind of business I like to give my money to. We will be back!

This place was adorable and truly exceeded my expectations. They sell alcohol-infused ice cream, a unique and delicious concept. I tried the Old Fashioned flavor in a large size; I really enjoyed it, although it was a bit strong for me. Next time, I’ll order a variety of smaller flavors to try more options. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying with family or friends: they have a game area and great music, making it an ideal spot to chat, share, and have a great time. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Downtown McKinney. If you're nearby, I highly recommend stopping by—a fun, different, and special experience you won’t regret.

I love supporting small businesses , And Cocktail Creamery truly deserves it! This was honestly the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. You can clearly taste the quality and flavor in every bite. I didn’t even ask for samples, but the lady working there was so sweet and offered me some while explaining everything in detail. You can tell they put real love and effort into their work. It’s sad to see negative comments from people who clearly don’t appreciate great craftsmanship. Thank you for all your hard work - you’ve definitely earned a loyal customer!

Favorite place to visit year round and take visitors to. Loved it the first time we went (3yrs ago) and everyone we bring enjoys it as well. They have LOTS of unique boozy ice cream flavors, non-dairy options and non-alcoholic as well. Love how it's an ice cream place with a bar. I have to try one of their cocktail still. Everything on the menu looks and sounds so yummy. Even with the alcohol it's still very family friendly (my kids 7,5,2 are very happy everytime we go lol).

We stopped in for ice cream tonight. I had a scoop of the cinnamon bun ice cream and it was great! THE SERVICE here is OUTSTANDING!!! Great atmosphere as well. Loved the visit!!

The ice cream was amazing. Service friendly! I had Eat A Peach and Cream in the Key of Lime! My granddaughter had Cookies and Cream and Strawberry! All of it was wonderful and there is definitely liquor in it. Shout out to Tammie and her excellent service!!

This place is simply a **GEM**! The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and they offer such a great variety. But best of all are the ❤️ people who run it! ❤️ We went back for karaoke and had the best time! They made us feel welcome and like part of the family. We even sang some songs in Spanish, and they were so kind and encouraging! Honestly, this place made me feel at home! We would love to go back and will definitely recommend it to all of our family and friends. **THANK YOU!**

Beware: Karen Alert ! The customer service was nonexistent. We walked in to no greeting or any type of acknowledgment at all. The lady aka Karen walked right past us on several occasions fulfilling other guests orders as if we weren't there. When we asked if anyone was available to help us on the creamery side she gave full attitude and everything but the bird flew out her mouth in response to a simple question. She then kept doing what she was doing which all in all led to our decision to leave the establishment because clearly we weren't going to put up with that but it was noted and we will not be back and it will not be a place we'll recommend to anyone in the future. Our experience will be passed along to those that ask and I surely hope those that see this think twice as well as this was truly the opposite of family-friendly and might as well have been a full-on bar with the amount of time the staff member spent over there on the bar side and more than went out of her way to ghost and blatantly ignore anyone on the creamery side. Best avoided if you value your time and mental. What an incredibly nasty way to treat a new customer! Update: Following reading the owner's response, here's what I have to say... I too stopped reading after he said, "I'm happy to apologize for honest mistakes... and no actual or real apology or accountability was taken. That's to be expected, which speaks volumes!" Going to a local creamery is meant to be a delight however this establishment again has no interest in it really and the customer service and nasty behaviors further confirm this. My recommendation is to be the best bar you can be and let that be that because so many families look forward to the traditional creamery experience and for you not be able to deliver on this will forever put a bad taste in future visitors mouth when all is said and done, especially if nothing changes and nothing was learned from this. What a shame! Final Update: And again, "THIS IS THE OWNER", what a circus! You stand on that sinking ship of yours proudly and high and mighty. The award for Donkey of the day is yours truly!

Discovered this gem with my partner after grabbing a bite in downtown McKinney, and everything about this place is perfect. We couldn't decide between a sweet treat for dessert or a cocktail, and this place had BOTH in one! I was skeptical at first but oh boy do they know what they're doing. You can't miss with anything on the menu, and believe me the "drinks" are still strong!! Not to mention, the couple who owns the bar are sweet as can be and absolutely a pleasure to visit. They even had a karaoke night that we came back for that was super fun. Very inviting and unique diner/old school bar vibes with a lot of character. Though it's not great for my diet, I'll definitely be returning to treat myself soon!

This boozy ice cream is very good for when it's been a hot day and you want a little bit of alcohol and a sweet treat at the same time. The Biscoff flavor was not very good as it had a weird cherry taste to it. The mocha madness, however, was really good and chocolatey with a bit of coffee. Since they add alcohol to it, it melts more quickly imho, even indoors. The decor is really cute with barn/farm table Interior decor plus the staff is very nice.

This is the 4th time my son and I came to have ice cream dessert after dinner . Local feel and they have live band at night during weekends . The place does get busy, very casual and family friendly . The ice cream that I have tasted are all good, having alcohol added made it even better, the alcohol is just the right amount for it to be enjoyable. We are definitely going to keep coming back when we are in Down Town McKinney.

I should have written this review while we were there, but of course, I didn't. I did proceed to tell everyone I saw for the next couple of weeks, that if they are in the area, this is a must stop for them! We happened to visit during a quiet afternoon, but we really enjoyed our ice creams and wished we had time to come back that evening for an event. Garrison Brothers (a favorite distiller of ours and also a must see when in Texas), was going to be there along with live music. All of that being said, the ice creams are unique and delicious and the space is comfortable and it looks to be a fun evening spot as well!

I am so delighted to have found Cocktail Creamery. It blew my expectations out of the water and now it's on my "must visit" list when family and friends come into town. First, the service is spectacular. Even during busy times, the cocktail creamery folks are attentive, kind, and patient. Across my three visits, I've tried 10+ flavors that are all unique, balanced, and have the perfect amount of booze. During the last visit, the fam and I took advantage of the mid-size seating area and played Jenga. I love the variety of games available and the family-friendly atmosphere. Not into ice cream? There's also a bar.

This place is nuts!! They literally have 100 flavors on offer, and all deliver a real punch. Love that they offer a sampler to try a few!

such a fun idea for this bar/creamery. its super cute and in downtown McKinney. the ice cream all has booze and are spiked with crazy flavors. the ladies are super nice and made me a custom drink. the favors are definitely worth checking out. NOT MANY NON BOOZED FLAVORS!

Got the lemon cherry which was delightful and tart. My husband got the almond joy, which reminded me of German chocolate cake! Both were delicious!! Also tried the Old Fashioned and Brandy Alexander cocktails. Knocked it out of the park!!! They will give you samples. Really nice venue and staff.

Cute little shop and I loved the ice cream. I ordered a boozy flight and they were all great. I ordered the biscotti, strawberry cheesecake, frosted peppermint one and futterbinger. All were great but the biscotti was my favorite.

We came across this place while walking in DT McKinney. Super cute space w/ games + small bar & infused ice cream. The service was great, super friendly and helpful. They offer samples which was perfect since it was our first time there. We got to try so many flavors. We ended up getting the sampler which comes with 4 flavors for $15. We got the old fashioned, lychee, spiked watermelon, & root beer. The root better flavor was very strong and distinct. I also sampled the mango margarita which I really enjoyed too. Would definitely come back :)

Where has this place been my whole life? Cocktails and ice cream! Merry Christmas to me and every holiday in between! My goodness this place should be on every corner of the universe. Go check out the unique boozy flavors that are out of this world. The woman working was so informative on all the concoctions she makes- so unique, so dreamy. I chose an almond joy and turtle chocolate combination and YUM! I wish I would have take better pics- but just go see them and you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Super cool place with an abundance of flavors. It's an awesome concept with some cool people behind the counter. Must stop and get some ice cream what's a better way to take a shot of alcohol? Wish we had one in Nashville!!

Wow!!!! What a great find! Great service! Yummy alcoholic ice cream! I ordered the Old Fashioned and it was filled with deliciousness and happiness. I loved the cocktail cherry bits in it. You can tell the owner/ice cream maker takes care and pride in his product. They have live music on certain nights.

This is not your typical over-the-counter ice cream store. This is a phenomenal concept that provides a huge selection of boozy, creamy ice cream and offers a full bar. There are also non-alcoholic options. Seating is comfortable with checkered tablecloths, and you have a choice of board games to play. It's set back just off of the McKinney square in a beautiful historic building with old oak floors and high ceilings. If you want to experience something different, then you should make a special trip!

The ambiance, the service and the ice cream is really really good! Loved everything about this place. I had a brownie sundae and requested to heat the brownie and they happily did it for me! Nice people and a great place to hangout with delicious ice-cream and there are a million options to choose from, the boozy ones to the regular ones. We tried regular this time but I would love to go back and try the booze options! The menu is quirky and interesting! Enjoyed our time here and the sundae very much! :)

A unique space here in McKinney, Texas Historic District, Cocktail Creamery serves both "Boozy Ice Cream" and ice cream for all ages. They even make pup treats. There is a little full bar here also, and 10 cafe tables for 4. Bartender will serve you beers in bottle or can, wine, or liquor, and the many types of boozy coffee drinks, ice cream drinks, etc. Example: Tiramisu Hot Chocolate is house hot chocolate, spiked with Kahlua and RumChata! Hot Toddy: Black Tea, Bulleit Bourbon, lemon juice, honey, and ginger syrup. Not Your Father's Root Beer Boozy Float Or there are Seltzers, Ciders, and Wine Friday evenings can feature small live music acts. I stopped in because the retro Arcade down the street had a long line for adult liquids! A big crowd showed up tonight, even the games and pinball alley had waits. So I took a walk around the historic district, saw plenty of places serving food, adult beverages, and some had live music. And when I looked into Cocktail Creamery, I saw NBA on the big screen LA Lakers vs Golden State Warriors in Double Overtime! I got a cup of coconut-based vanilla ice cream, and a can of Blue Moon Ale, sat and watched the NBA drama! Staff here is warm & welcoming, the crowd was mellow.

I wasn't expecting the huge selection of local ice creams! Such a great surprise, and the lady working was so helpful and friendly, especially for a late Thursday night when she seemed to be the only one working with a line forming behind us. Even so, service was quick and our ice cream was delicious and just the right level of boozy. If you're alcohol-free or dairy-free, they had a good selection of those too!

Delicious So many flavors and options to add to. They do have nonalcoholic ones as well. Cute little place to hang out. Restrooms were clean and service was friendly and helpful.

No family bathrooms, only male and female restrooms. As a person on medical assistance and require aid while using the restroom, I found it insulting to be followed and interrupted with knocking on the door BY THE OWNER while using the restroom. She stopped serving ice cream to other customers because I didn't enter the bathroom alone. She knocked twice on the door in the span of 3 minutes. I calmly explained there was nothing going on and that we left the other bathroom open in case someone needed to use it because I don't feel comfortable disclosing a medical condition. Although, I shouldn't have to. If we had entered the bathroom and stayed there for more than 5 minutes, sure come and see if we're okay. Within the first minute and 3rd minute is completely unacceptable and very representative of the kinds of things that are on the minds of other people in this establishment. Never once have we been stopped in any other establishment. We did not "disrespect the establishment" as the owner told us after kicking our names off the karaoke list, your establishment is disrespectful, discriminatory, and dirty minded.

What a cute little store. Back visiting family and since my other dessert place was closed, I walked into this little place. I believe she was the owner and she was super friendly and let me sample quite a few of her numerous flavors! I'm not a big drinker but what a fun way to! This creamery offers boozy and non booze flavors. Very unique. They had quite a few I enjoyed so very hard to choose. I ended up with a limoncello one and it was perfect on a nice day walking around the cute little town. I tried to find my nephew one he would like but he chose to pass. Who passes on ice cream,lol. Super friendly! They also offer a flight so you can try up to 4 flavors. I just didn't have time. If you try, I'm sure you will find one you will enjoy! SYOY!

I was in the Downtown McKinney area for the evening and stopped by Cocktail Creamery to end the night. There were SO MANY flavors, and employees are happy to give samples and help you decide which flavor(s) you want. I got the salted butter caramel flavor in a waffle bowl, and it was amazing! There are also a ton of seats for sitting with friends while you eat dessert. It was spacious and clean, I highly recommend checking it out if you're in town!

Loveddddd this spot! My friends and I were shopping in the area and truthfully came in here to use the bathroom. When we went inside, we learned that it was National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (gotta love it lol). The staff was so friendly and loved to share the history of the place which was fun to learn about! We enjoyed affogatos! Their ice cream is homemade & you can tell! It's so creamy and delicious and many of them are made with booze which is a fun twist! Because it was National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, they had a raffle and I won!! We won 3 free pints and there was 3 of us so we were over the moon! We got to pick up the pints after shopping to take home. It was such a delight! They also have a full on coffee bar and liquor bar too! They have $5 bloody mary's and mimosas so it's a great place to grab a drink to go for your shopping around town! They have plenty of tables to sit at, very casual environment. Great place for the whole family, they have non-alcoholic ice cream too. But they might be frustrated if they're limited to only some flavors without alcohol. But once they try a flavor they like, they'll be happy!

What a hidden gem. The flavors were amazing, the service was killer, and the store itself was so unique and easy to forget how much time you spent there. We were so happy to see dairy free options that looked AND tasted great. The bar... WOW! Just so delicious. We expected to grab ice cream and go but ended up spending two hours there enjoying the place. My only disclaimer was that it was a tad pricy, but honestly to support a small and adorable business with a great ambiance in the heart of McKinney was well worth it. A must try and a place we will definitely be going back to!

My wife and I came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm. It's located just off the square in Old Town McKinney. Decor was nice, and they have over 100 flavors of ice cream - most of which contain booze. The service was great as we got to try any flavor. In my shake, you could definitely taste the booze! We'll surely be coming back.

Ugh this place gives me mixed feelings. I absolutely LOVE their alcoholic ice creams. I'm lactose intolerant so I really like how they have a great variety of sorbets to choose from. The texture of the sorbets are amazing! (Reminds me of Italian shaved ice) The only reason I took off 2 stars is because 1. It is a bit overpriced ($6ish w/tax for a small cup) 2. Staff was not wearing mask (they do have gloves on) The owner is very friendly. First time I was here it was him and his wife and they only had one ice cream freezer and maybe less than 15 flavors? Now they have over 60+ flavors and he talked about eventually reaching 99 flavors!! You can sample all the flavors before you decide which one you want (Just be courteous). If it wasn't for covid and the price I would be coming here every month to try the flavors!! This was one of my favorite shops in downtown McKinney (along with the hot sauce shop) before Covid. It would be sad to see them close down due to it.

This place is absolutely disgusting and homophobic, I went here with a few of my friends and they picked up ice cream, as we left the worker told us to come back for karaoke and the environment seemed pretty chill, i did a few rounds of the karaoke and was just chilling with my girls, out of no where this very skinny man with a bowl cut who turned out to be the owner was getting in my face asking me to leave, I asked him what I had done to be treated this way and why I was being asked to leave, he then got more in my face and told me to get out which caused a whole argument, as I tried to walk out the door he stepped on my heels causing me to fall out of them, then laying his hands on me, long story short.. he got rocked, then I was tackled down by an old man, all because an employee TOLD me to come back to they're slow slow buisness... I hope the owner can find peace in himself cause he is filled with hate, I wouldn't step foot in this place if you payed me to, no matter your beliefs it is never okay to get physical with someone who is just out minding they're buisness and being themselves, I would've left very calmly if he just told me why I was being kicked out the first time around but I think we all know why.. This is a picture of the old man that tackled down a 16 year old MINOR attempting to defend themselves in a defenseless situation, he is frequently in there, his name is Paul miles.

Ice cream + booze. Enough said. My sister was visiting from out of town and we decided to go here for a late night treat. To say that this was heavenly was an understatement. They have nearly 100 different flavors to choose from all including some sort of alcohol. The owner personally served samples and scoops to my sister and I - we loved getting to chat with her and it made our visit feel special. I would highly recommend getting a flight so you can have four different flavors. It's priced at $12 which can seem expensive at first glance but well worth it considering how creamy the ice cream is and how boozy it is as well.

If you're looking for a family friendly place to go for dessert, look no further. Owners and staff and extremely friendly. The ice cream is unique with a huge selection for adults to choose from that truly do taste great. The bar portion has been growing and they're coming out with new drink specials constantly.

I ordered two pints of their bourbon ice cream. For $40. First time trying, but the ice cream is infused with the bourbon and you really can't taste any bourbon. I was very disappointed.

I drive all the way from dallas just to get quarts of this ice cream. The owners are pretty awesome. I'm just so appreciative of this place

Fantastic! The staff is fun and professional. They are knowledgeable about their menu. I sampled a few and all of them were delicious. While this is a "grownup treat" they do have a few non-alcoholic options for littles and my 8 yr old loved the cotton candy ice cream. My family felt very comfortable here. I highly recommend this establishment.

Oh my goodness! This is the BEST ice cream I have had in I don't know when and I consider myself an ice cream aficionado! I had the salted butter caramel crazy which was amazing, especially if you like salted caramel ice cream like I do. If you want to take it next level, have it in a waffle bowl, add extra salted caramel sauce and heath bar crumbles and top it all off with their homemade bourbon whipped cream. Oh my goodness...I will be dreaming of this concoction for a good while! My hubby, who loves cinnamon ice cream, had their cinnamon ice cream infused with fireball and ghost peppers. He loved it! He said it was spicy but if you love spicy and cinnamon, this might be your new fav. He added heath bar crumbles and said it was a nice addition with a little crunch. We loved this little place on the square in downtown McKinney. They have board and card games to play while you enjoy your treats. They make all their ice cream there on site and we love supporting small local businesses. It was very family friendly and they have non-alcoholic ice creams for the kiddos or anyone not wanting alcohol in their ice cream. My girls had no alcohol cookies and cream ice cream with sprinkles and gummy bears in a waffle bowl and said it was amazing. Service was excellent as well! Just go.

If you're in Historic Downtown McKinney( if you're not...why?), then you have to stop into the Cocktail Creamery! This is NOT your Grandfathers ice cream store. The ice cream is infused with various kinds of alcohol... not enough to make you tipsy, but enough to enhance the flavor. It is excellent!!! The service is a little slow sometimes, but it is worth the wait. The business is in an old historic building, but it is comfortable and fun. They even have live music and karaoke on certain nights. You need to stop in!!!

Love their new location! The dark chocolate midnight ice cream is heavenly. The service was fantastic and I'm so glad to see this business doing well in cute downtown McKinney. We love coming here after a dinner out. They even have to-go pup cups of peanut butter ice cream for your dogs.

OMG! Ice cream with booze? Yes please! They have 99 different flavors with booze and 5 without! So hard to choose but I went with the pretzel logic. It was so rich and creamy and I could taste the bourbon. The staff was so friendly! Don't skip trying this out!

I love this place! It's ALWAYS a delight to try new flavors here! I love ice cream, have traveled extensively and lived in several states. This creamery is by far the most unique that I'd ever experienced. It's a landmark in McKinney as far as I'm concerned. I'll always be loyal to this creamery. Other places are simply not worth the calories.

It's all heavenly. I thought the pumpkin spice was my favorite seasonal, then I met this. I was a little late to the party because I didn't make it in to the shop. But it's amazing at home, too! Thank you for not only making amazing ice cream, but for being amazing yourself!

Wow, what a neat concept. I don't drink much, but something about ice cream infused with alcohol piqued my interest and I just had to try it! After strolling around the beautiful downtown my husband and I decided to a stop in for a taste of this special ice cream. The ice cream shop is located inside of The Donut Kitchen on Louisiana Street. When we walked in we were greeted by Ted the owner and were offered samples of the flavors we were interested in. There were lots of flavors to choose from and I was delighted to try the Almond Joyful and the Salted Carmel flavors, both were delicious! I've been in a few times since my initial visit and I must say that I haven't been disappointed yet. The last flavor I tried was White Chocolate raspberry and it was amazing! I will definitely be back to try more of their rotating menu of boozy ice cream!

Tasty Alcoholic Ice Cream! Had two small sizes (loved them both) and a coffee. The workers were friendly and helpful, especially with the tasting samples and I will gladly return to have more with my friends that love cocktails. And yes they did wear gloves. Seems like the people giving low reviews are mostly overly paranoid Covid-Karens. I think they would be happier in CA or NY.
