The 15 Best Bubble Teas In London

"Order: Pearl Milk Tea If you walk past this takeaway tea spot on Dean Street and don’t see a queue down the road, then Coco is either closed, or you’re just an extremely lucky person. We’ve never got bubble tea here without queuing for at least a few minutes, but it’s always worth that wait. The tea is brewed to order, and they have flavour mixes like passion fruit green tea with coconut jelly and pearls, but we love the taste of the fresh tea, so we like to keep it simple with our go-to order of warm pearl milk tea, or the mango green tea with tapioca." - rianne shlebak

Coco Fresh Tea & Juice - Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"If you walk past this small takeaway tea and juice spot on Dean Street and don’t see a queue of at least seven people down the road, then Coco is either closed, or you’re just an extremely lucky person. Like running-into-Michael-B-Jordan-in-a-coffee-shop kind of lucky. Because we’ve never got bubble tea here without queuing for at least a few minutes. The important thing you need to know is that it’s always worth that wait. The tea is brewed to order, and they have flavour mixes like passion fruit green tea with coconut jelly and pearls, as well as Japanese red bean matcha. We love the taste of the fresh tea so we like to keep it simple with our go-to order of warm pearl milk tea, or the mango green tea with tapioca." - Rianne Shlebak

Don’t freaking bother using their Embargo app to place an order. Ordered using the app in the shop and waited for 15 mins only to tell me they haven’t received the order via the POS machine. Ridiculous, if it’s not working, don’t bother telling customers of the virtual loyalty scheme.

I like Coco a lot, I go there often when I'm in China. This location unfortunately doesn't have nearly as many menu options, which is understandable. But, I was also disappointed that you cannot change the sugar and ice levels (even though it tells you you can on the signs?). My drink was too sweet and tasted watered down near the end because of this. It also took roughly 20 minutes to get a single drink which was a bit annoying. Thankfully, after all of that, at least the quality of the drinks is just as good. I suppose that's all you can ask for. (Quick heads up: no, the staff do not speak Mandarin.)

We ordered online through embargo and if we didn’t go directly into the store they would not acknowledge the notification in there ipad. Once aknowledged, we waited for half an hour and still they haven’t prepared the order. So many customers who were behind us got their orders but we were still waiting and the staff on the counter was very unfriendly and with irritating tone of voice as if we are the ones being a nuisance to her! Rude and unsatisfactory service!!!!

Nice little place, clean, friendly staff. Some items were unavailable but maybe because we went there lunch time on a hot day and they couldn't restock it? We had lovely Mango tea which was very refreshing and salted Carmel which was just okay - not my taste. You can ask to add less ice as otherwise your cup will be loaded with it.

coco is a taiwanese boba chain that's located all around the world. it's nostalgic for me since it was the first real good boba i had in tapei during 2012 and now whenever i go to a new country, i always look forward to trying a new coco! this location is in chinatown. it's usually quite crowded with a queue but the employee at the cash register was very matter-of-fact and efficient. our drinks did take awhile, but it was understandable. there is not really any indoor seating, so take your drinks to go. // black milk tea with pearls 25% sweet 25% ice // the coco here is definitely more expensive than the US as well as with the currency conversion but we were craving good milk tea in london. the black milk tea was pretty good at this location and had a good balance. the pearls were also good consistency and i always get 25% sweet at coco. a taste away from home :)

Google
Best bubble tea place in London in my opinion! The pearls are so tasty and chewy. I always get the Jasmine milky tea from bubble tea shops and this is hands down the best I've gotten. Great tasting bubble tea every time! My colleagues know how much I love it they got me one for my birthday!!

Google
Nearby China Town in London you find this authentic Taiwanese bubble tea shop, which is one of my favorites whenever I'm in Taiwan. I arrived 10-15 mins before closing time (22:30) but they happily served me a very nice bubble milk tea - the bubbles/tapiocas was still nice and chewy, so it means they were still quite fresh. Flavor was almost spot on compared to the originals in Taiwan. That can be rare to find in this part of the worl, I feel. The staff was very friendly and smiling ❤️ - and I was very happy that I could have "A Taste of Taiwan" 🧋🇹🇼

Right across the British Museum, so can get very busy with the tourists. The drinks were decent but nothing extraordinary… you can find much better bubble teas around Chinatown. Theirs taste a bit artificial compared to those really good ones.

Yelp
I am so addicted to Coco's milk tea. I used to just get a medium cup, but ever since I realized I could totally down a large, I haven't looked back. I always get the same thing - their jasmine milk tea with boba - and is delicious each time. So perfectly delicious and not too sweet (I get mine with normal sugar levels and no ice). They have a frequent visitor card where you can get a free drink after every 8, but their app really really sucks and it always takes forever to load. I've missed out on logging a few drinks because of this. But - I've now learned the trick! Just take a screenshot of the QR code for your account and voila! Woot. One day I'll venture out and try another flavor, but for now I still go for my tried and true.

Yelp
CoCo is one of my favorite boba chains so I was delighted to find one in London. This location has a small menu, but they get the drinks and boba done right. You cannot go wrong with the pearl milk tea or the three brothers (called three buddies in the states), which are among the classic staples. This place was jam-packed when I visited, but the line moved quickly. Place your order, do a short wait, grab your drink, and go elsewhere to enjoy your drink. The shop is very small with no tables or seats so there is no space for you to hang out. Regardless, I got my boba fix efficiently so I was a happy camper.

Yelp
My current favorite place in London to get the quintessential bubble milk tea. While I'm usually more of a Chatime person, I think the London Chinatown branch is too popular for its own good, and their quality has suffered as a result. This Coco store is really small, and I suspect the queue will be long during peak hours, but the bubble milk tea was perfect. Weird that they don't do hot versions, but I was pleasantly surprised with the no-ice version.

Yelp
Very average bubble tea spot. Note to self if I ever return, don't cone in the last half hour before they close as they ran out of Boba. Also the taro slush was very chunky, I asked them to blend it again and it was better second time around
