Google
Amazing wine options, and extended option for a flight. (Mine was sweet x fruity forward ) Partner and I easily parked nearby, but there is transit nearby and also Bike (including Lyft) parking nearby. They also host different types of events like happy hours and more.

Google
Wonderful place!! We had the red wine flight & the white wine flight just to try a few things. We also had their snacks for the night, very yummy. There was live music & the vibe was just perfect in there. The service was great, will be coming back to try future wine selections :D

Google
Amazing experience! The owner was personal, took her time to speak with me and all the patrons at the bar, and recommended an amazing dessert wine. She know her wine, and it shows. I will be back!

Google
What an amazing place!!! The drink selection is awesome. The food that they put for their brunch was super delicious and the service is out of this world. You just don’t find that these days anymore, can’t wait to go back again.

Google
Perfection! No notes!! Bring you own bottle, allow them to chill it while you chill and enjoy the ambiance and conversation. The hummus plate wonderful. The night I came in with a friend, there was a live music from an amazing band. 10/10. 100% recommend.

Google
Perfect way to wrap up a romantic dinner. So glad we stopped by, loved the Genevieve so much I took a bottle home! Music & staff were amazing as well. Will be back

Google
Coco Noir is a vibe. I love how they always have themed events and collaborate with other local black owned businesses for events. The staff is very nice, and it is always a good relaxing time when I visit.

Yelp
Walking in, the first aspect I noticed was the beautiful scent of candles. It felt welcoming and soothing. In the background some light R&B/Soul music played and the modern aesthetic created a super chill vibe. After being seated, I looked up to see the film Brown Sugar playing above the bar. We began with a wine tasting from Fly Wines - a bonus for me was sampling a Turkish red wine. The space offers ample comfortable seating at the bar, couch & benches, and high tables placed along the windows. I ordered a mixed flight to try white wines, which don't typically choose. Each wine was delicious, but, surprisingly, the sparkling won as my favorite. One clean bathroom is available and has a stash of condoms - love it when establishments promote fun and safety. I learned that Coco Noir has been open since Dec. 2022 and is typically busier Friday thru Sunday. It was comforting to experience any pressure to buy additional glasses or bottles. The service was genuinely friendly & offered insight in a relatable way. This is definitely a cool place to chill and I'm glad to have had a great first experience.

Yelp
Tracy was an amazing hosts. My friends and I came in on a Sunday after long awaiting to visit and it did not disappoint. They created a great ambiance and welcoming environment right as you entered. From the scents to the florals to the music everything was well thought out and created such a vibe. We shared a bottle of sparkling Chenin Blanc and it was delicious. They also had a spread of tasty light bites that we thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
I travel all over for work and this wine bar is hands down the best one I have been to thus far! And this includes wine bars in Spain--OKAY?!!. The interior design is very chic, elegant yet minimalistic and the space is organized, in a way where you can get cozy and comfortable and chat it up with other guests if you choose to, while having a glass of wine. The wine selection is also very good and there is a-lot of options to choose from and glasses are not expensive at all! Hosts were also very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about wine, which I really can appreciate when trying different wines.

Yelp
Love supporting local women-owned businesses so of course this spot was on my bucket list for a long time. A friend and I finally got to try it out before they closed at 8PM. As soon as you walk in, the aroma is refreshing. All the candle scents didn't clash smelling like bath & body works, but instead, they all complimented each other so it smelled like walking into a spa. Leila was our server and was super friendly. She had a bubbly personality and knew her wines! Alicia greeted us and was friendly as well. The aesthetics is giving very chic and grown and sexy vibes. 2 huge TVs for entertainment and some soothing Sade playing in the background. A great spot for a chill girls' night or a nice little date night.

Yelp
We went to see Kymie and Sweet Soul there. Beautiful place. Great ambiance. Woman owned business done first class. Band great. Singing angelic and instrumental's invigorating. Food simply presented and good choices. Very nice place to stop for a drink downtown Oakland.

Yelp
Super cute spot, white decor, quaint, personable service, and wonderful ladies. I enjoyed my time there, and the wine selection is really nice.

Yelp
Came back to try a wine flight- was glad that they were so flexible in letting me choose which wines to try! Really chill vibes, good music love this addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
I was so excited to come tasting here . I have been following the host since she was doing pop ups at Jacklond . So I was tremely proud when I heard she a tasting room location. $15 for 3 tastings the charcuterie board and popcorn is an additional fee. Apparently they also have a brunch event as well. The venue is nice there is a parking lot across the street.. it's kinda sketchy so leave your windows down . The evening I was here there was a weird font between the employees but everything was cool. I definitely will be back

Yelp
A friendly and knowledgeable staff, aesthetically pleasing, and POC winemakers. . . This is Coco Noir Wine Shop! The female, Black owned shop is inviting with a sofa, hi-top tables, or seating at the bar. Sitting at the bar is nice; you can look at the bottles on display with their unique labels. They feature different tasting flights weekly. You can also purchase wine by the glass. They offer charcuterie boards with a variety of meats, cheeses, and popcorn too. This shop is a fantastic addition to the area. It's a must visit for a relaxing atmosphere and a glass of vino with friends.

Yelp
Black owned and serving black owned wines I would have not gotten to try in a tasting room otherwise! Came in on a Friday night, and I loved the whole experience. The music was on point, service friendly, and wine choices were amazing! We had 2 flights, 2 glasses, and got 3 bottles and it came to $160. I didn't think that was bad, but you can see if it fits your budget or not. If I lived here, this would be a frequent spot I would come to and vibe out!

Yelp
Love love it. What a rare thing in the wine industry. Black woman owned with a focus on giving exposure to more diverse brands (BIPOC, women owned, LGBTQIA+). White wine was highly focused on Chardonnay but the orange Pinot Grigio (surprise) was delicious. The space is open and elegant. Cool modern vibe. Lots of events, good for groups and they have food pop ups so a rotating restaurant.

Yelp
A new Oakland hidden gem! It's very cute and small inside, with the cream and neutral toned interior and a little marble bar. Seating is limited so make sure you make a rez! They have a decent selection of wine to choose from, prioritizing black owned labels as they are a black owned business! (We love to see that in Oakland.) They host all sorts of events including live music every weekend which is definitely worth checking out. They sometimes have food from various pop ups, so call ahead to see what they have if you're planning on eating there. There's been gumbo, Jamaican Pattie's, and STUFFED CHICKEN WINGS with MAC N CHEESE & GREENS on the inside. It's so greedy but I loved it! Definitely come check them out for a cute lil night out with your friends or for a date.

Yelp
What a beautiful space filled with curated wines! Came with a friend for early drinks and conversation on NYE and it was the perfect space for that! We were introduced to B. Stuyvesant-a black woman vintner from Brooklyn who makes champagne. We also had a delicious Zinfandel rosé from Bodkin. It was really great to taste wines from different producers that I hadn't heard of-both wines we tasted were perfect. I also got two bottles to take home- the B. Stuyvesant Blanc de Blancs and a Cab from South Africa by a Zimbabwean sommelier called Kumusha. The charcuterie board was also well made and delicious. We had such a lovely time chatting with the owner and the sommeliers-everyone was welcoming and super knowledgeable about the wines. Can't wait to return and attend more events here. It really is a gem and much needed in the area!

Yelp
We had an amazing time at CoCo Noir! The space is beautifully decorated, open, spacious and bright. They offer a large selection of wines, which are an excellent entry for those interested in learning to appreciate wines. Definitely a hot spot for the ladies on Saturday's when they have the live Dj. And be warned, the gumbo is good and spicy! Spicy I said, so consume with caution! Lol Cheers

Yelp
I was in Oakland on Easter Sunday and was looking for mimosas when I found this wonderful place on yelp. It's Black owned, which I love so I had to support. When I walked in I was greeted by a lovely lady with salt and pepper hair. The vibe in here is so refreshing I decided to stay a while and splurge a bit. I ordered the mimosa flight which came with 3 different flavors. She broke them all down and explained their contents. Guava and cranberry were my favorites in the flight of 3. Typically I'm not a fan of guava but I was that day. They had cheese boards which I was intrigued by until the chef came out to explain his menu. Stuffed chicken wings is all I needed to here to get my blood flowing. Omg, I love going to Oakland... I ordered the charcuterie board to snack on while drinking and took 4 chef plates Togo. Wings were stuffed supposed to be stuffed with macaroni and cheese and collard greens but the was NO greens in any of the four plates of wings. I found the Mac and cheese stuffed wings to be dry but flavorful. The jambalaya stuffed wings were the best. He was out of the red beans and rice wings and Sweet potato cornbread. The food was good but it wasn't worth $25 a plate. (A physical menu would have been great to look at, but he doesn't have on yet) Side note: This manager interrupted my conversation with another customer to have me cash me out, BEFORE I WAS DONE, "because she is going on break". I found that to be extremely tacky. That messed up the whole vibe. And then when she gets to the tip screen she says "my favorite part". Ha, that ain't cute sis. After she walked away, the customer I was talking to said "well that was awkward for a manager to do", which I agreed. I have never experienced that before. Typically I would deduct a star for something like that but I am going to let it slide this time.

Yelp
Not bad for a Saturday night (they didn't have food) but I did order a good charcuterie board that paired well with the wine Didn't know Mary J. Blidge had wine (I'm late) but was really anticipating E-40s new wine they were out They did have a live band performing & the ladies were great Again if food was being prepared in the back it would've been at 5 out of 5 (Side note don't have venom or cash app on my phone but the waitress wanted me to send me TIP on those apps )

Yelp
I LOVED Coco Noir! This will quickly become one of my favorite spots for an after work drink or weekend pregame. The staff was amazing and helpful, the ambience is clean, aesthetic yet also warm and inviting and the wine is in abundance. There's plenty of BIPOC wine companies and varieties for you to choose from and little charcuterie boards for you to snack on while you enjoy good music and good company. This space has the potential to be a DT Oakland staple, and I can't wait to see how it will evolve!

Yelp
After having this on my list for awhile, I stopped in on a Saturday around 5pm with a friend. They had a DJ who was playing afrobeats music and the energy was high. We got a table and Jasmine was helped us right away. She was an absolute delight and very knowledgeable about the different wines. I did a wine flight and explained what types of wine I like and she picked some recommendations based off of my taste. She did a great job and I discovered a new wine that I love - the Badasstronaut Muscat Canelli. I'd absolutely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a glass of wine or wanting to buy a bottle to take elsewhere.

Yelp
Went in looking for a bottle of non-alcoholic wine to take home. Was feeling a little lost but the owner came and offered to help :) Cute spot. Would definitely go back to have a glass there.

Yelp
Came after a work event with some colleagues and loved everything about it. The vibes, wine selection, and customer service is fantastic

Bernard B.

Yelp
Great selection of wines (and a few beers) available by the glass and by the bottle. Fantastic sparkling wines too! Live music on some nights - I heard a fantastic Brazilian trio last week. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in selecting what to drink. Mention my name to Alicia, Jasmine or Shannon and you'll get a free beverage (the beverage might be water, but...it's free). They are right on the corner of Webster & 13th.

Yelp
Hi! Cute little place... but very unwelcoming! The place was busy when we walked in, so we patiently waited. Unfortunately, after a long while of waiting (mind you with staff looking at us with what felt like glares, not saying a word), we decided to walk further in and try to find a spot to sit and got yelled at immediately for "not waiting by the door." Ok.. so you have time to yell at a customer, but not welcome them in and say "hi welcome, please wait to be seated" ?? I tried to fight past being ignored, but it's hard to not have a bad taste in my mouth from this place from people who are so rude. I understand it's busy no problem, but please don't treat people with unkindness and disrespect.

margie f.

Yelp
Went with a coworker today and benefited from the happy hour specials. We each had a mixed flight, chosen by the owner herself. Also ordered a fruit & cheese plate. Everything was delicious, with a nice friendly vibe, and even live music. Appreciated the variety of wines made by women and people of color + small family wineries. Would be nice if there was a list and description of the wines on offer somewhere. Highly recommend checking it out!
google avatar

Yelp
I will definitely be returning to Coco Noir. We got 2 flights, 2 tastings, a charcuterie board and 2 glasses for under $100. The vibe inside is sleek and sophisticated with some good music in the background. The staff was super knowledgeable and inviting. My favorite take away is that the owner carries and presents only BIPOC vine makers and enthusiasts.
google avatar

Yelp
It's small space with a great selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic wines. No food options besides charcuterie and popcorn. Some times there are pop up chefs. Service is great!

Yelp
Wow! I was wandering through the food desert that downtown Oakland has become on Sundays. All of a sudden, a sandwich board strategically placed on the northeast corner of Broadway and 13th beckoned, promising wine and charcuterie trays. Having become quite hangry, it sounded intriguing so I gave it a go. It's located in a high rise apartment building on 13th and Webster. The space is immaculate, with white counters. Immediately inviting, there's a bar, lounge area and a few tables. Upon my entrance, I was immediately greeted by Shannon, whom I later found out to be the manager. I think she sensed my hangriness, immediately served a glass of water and invited me to sit at the bar. The menus are accessed by QR codes. I ordered the cheese board. As she served it, Shannon explained the contents. This is not your usual cheese board! Apologies Shannon, as I can't remember the exact contents. So, I'm going to say trust me to recommend it; trust Shannon to serve and explain it. There's enough for two. However, as I hadn't eaten since breakfast, wandered through the food desert and was hangry, I ate it all. Once served, Shannon and I discussed wines. I decided on a South African Rose, of which she first let me taste. The winery is black founded and owned. The wine and food offerings are representative of diverse communities as Shannon explained. BTW-Coco Noir Wine Bar is owned by a Black female. Why is this important to me? Oakland is predominantly black, but historically, the black population have been seriously marginalized and comprise far too much of those in poverty. I am the fifth generation of my family to live in Oakland. I have a stake in its success. Oakland succeeds when all of us succeed! I was happy to see that this place seemed busy. All of Oakland is represented, across the color spectrum as well as LGBTQIA. Coco Noir is an amazing place that is representative of Oakland's future. Though I had to leave and couldn't partake, there is live music on Sundays. Coco Noir is truly an oasis in a food desert!

Yelp
Wandered in here off the street following the sound of great live music. Classy but chill vibe. Good selection of wines. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This new neighborhood gem will surprise and delight you with a wide selection of wines sourced from women and poc winemakers. The founder Alicia is friendly and knows a ton about wine. You'll be welcomed in like family. Come here to chill with a glass and buy a few bottles for home! I'm so thrilled to have this local-love ethical spot on the first floor of my building. Dangerous but awesome ha! And so much better than a chain establishment.
google avatar

Yelp
Black women owed with a variety of poc/women owned wine! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They have weekly pop up chefs and the decor inside is too cute! Perfect for a girls night

Regina D.

Yelp
Coco Noir offers a great selection of fine wines from diverse regions around the world. Each time I have visited Coco Noir the service has been excellent and the staff is very informative about their wines and the regions from which they originate. The design of their space is beautiful and comfortable.

Yelp
Very elegant, classy neighborhood spot. They know their wines well and always seem to be a party happening inside. Great sense of community and a local biz to buy a decently priced bottle. I got the California Pinot Noir and they boxed it up nicely. 10/10.

Yelp
10/10 ambiance, prices, location, and customer service. A hidden gem of Oakland; and black-owned!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at Coco Noir last night! I met with two girlfriends for some wine and really enjoyed myself. It's a black woman owned wine bar that serves Black, indigenous, LGBT, and local wines. The server gave us a mini tour and they had a very wide range of varietals. We chose the red flight with a charcuterie board and really enjoyed their choices. My favorite was the Camins 2 Dream Grenache owned by an indigenous woman from the Santa Barbara area. My boyfriend works close by so I can't wait to return with him! Very excited to see this bar flourish!!

Desi M.

Yelp
I did not have a reservation but I was by myself and there was a seat at the bar open. The owner welcomed me in; they were busy but that small gesture really made my day. Then let me just say Ms. Kia was so nice and delightful as my server. This woman was sweating and it's not hot by any means. I ordered a charcuterie board (meat) and a mixed flight which Ms. Kia was able to put together for me and when I tell you this bad an bougie chick loves some bubbles and Ms. Kia served a lovely flight to me. She got to know my taste and now you know I had to leave there with some bottles it was so good! I love a sense of community and class and coco noir was giving this! Now you know they were playing ALL the jams...ambiance was giving its own! Thank you Esscents of Flowers for the referral.

Aaron J.

Yelp
Delicious wine and concept. Excellent service. Wish I remembered their name so I could give them a specific shoutout. Came here for Mother's Day and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great selection of wines! The staff is always welcoming and service great. Ambiance is very welcoming and has a relaxed lounge-like vibe with good music.

Yelp
Great wines, sparkling, vibe and charcuterie boards in Oakland! Great music! Check it out!!

Drie B.

Yelp
Ms.Kia is sooooo amazing. I can't even explain how intelligent and knowledgeable this woman is when it comes to all wines and champagne. If you aren't sure ask Ms. Kia what's best. Will be coming back loved everything and every minute.

Yelp
LOVED THE EXPERIENCE! Would most definitely recommend! Great ambiance and large variety of wines . Went for my sisters birthday with out a reservation and got served quickly! Service could have been a little better but I love it!
