I booked a table at Coco Paris to celebrate my birthday, specifically for the show. When we arrived, we were seated outside, even though I had reserved a table indoors. I asked to be moved inside for the show, and the hostess falsely assured us the show would take place outside as well. That was a blatant lie—there was no show outside at all. The show was the only reason we booked Coco, otherwise, there are far better options in Paris with stunning views and excellent food.
Unfortunately, the experience got worse from there.
• We waited over an hour for our mains.
• My steak was undercooked, the chips were cold, and a friend’s lamb dish was also served cold.
• They were severely understaffed, and it took more than 10 minutes just to flag someone down.
• When we finally finished our wine and cocktails and were still hoping the show might move outside, I ordered two more glasses of the same wine. Instead, we were served a completely different wine. When we pointed this out, we were dismissed and essentially called liars.
• Only after insisting and waiting another 15 minutes did they finally bring the correct wine and apologise.
The staff were rude, the service chaotic, and the food absolutely unacceptable for the price point. This place is extremely overpriced and overhyped. It’s clear Coco Paris relies on being a trendy name rather than delivering real value or hospitality. It feels like a trap aimed at tourists, not a quality dining experience.
I would not recommend Coco to anyone and will definitely not be returning.
