This bakery is wonderful. All bakery items are beautiful and delicious. There is so many to try but you should definitely try more than one. The almond croissant 🥐 is delicious. They have a pink rose latte, it's very unique and delicious. Best of all , the prices are very fair. I would definitely come back.

Re: Cocoa & Butter in Palo Alto They just opened their Cafe in Palo Alto, right on University Ave. This is the same location that was previously Paris Baguette. Throughout the time we were there (waiting for our sandwiches) the line of customers was out to the street, and the staff worked extremely hard to serve everyone quickly and efficiently. We were there on Sunday, around 2:15 pm. Husband-wife duo and they have made a lot of effort to set up the Cafe as an upscale French experience. There is dine-in - both inside and patio seating - and of course to-go. As they just opened so the timings are a bit limited: 10 am to 4 pm. We went there yesterday and some at that time we were fasting due to Muslim month of Ramadhan, we got a few things to-go. We got the following: CB Club Zuckerberger (beef brisket sandwich) Crispy Chicken sandwich Macaroon (box of 6 assorted) Cruffin (like croissant, but standing) Verrines (it’s a mango dessert) Bonbons Zuckerberger was the star for me. Beef brisket is a tricky item to get right. They did a good job. The bread/burgers are all made in-house by them. Crispy Chicken sandwich will likely be much better if eaten fresh at the restaurant. Bringing it home and eating it after reheating several hours later is no way to have Crispy Chicken sandwich. But the taste was still very decent. CB Club had avocado in them - in addition to chicken - which is a nice touch. They don’t give regular fries with sandwiches. Two of them came with fries which were thinner than even shoe string potatoes (see pics). Very interesting. Kids liked it. In terms of desserts, I’d rate their macaroons better than many I have tried (best ones are Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery in Yountville). Some really interesting flavors. Bonbons are also pretty good. The mango dessert is also good. Hopefully in time they will add some more European-style pastries to their menu too - similar to Cocola. All in all, this could be a great option for a coffee break, light lunch or just a dessert break. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. Good luck to the owners. It’s an expensive location and they are clearly trying to attract a very diverse client base. Pricing is upscale. According to the owner, everything at the Cafe (including sandwiches) is halal.

The place looks great and I decided it I try out the recommended Zuckerburger for lunch. I will admit that it was full of flavor and zest but there was not correlation between what I thought I orders and what I got. The menu said, brisket melt but what I got was a lot of bread, and a little meat which was not even close in taste to a brisket. Did I enjoy it - yes, would I order it again - no.

This is not your regular cafe with mediocre food. The food is absolutely delicious 😋🤤, I was literally licking my fingers and I don't like to exaggerate. And presentation is well beyond I have seen anywhere, with edible flower petals and everything. The picture doesn't really do justice. And look at that portion size. I can eat a lot but I struggled to finish. I recommend to stop there soon before this chef is discovered, becomes rich and famous and their creations are no longer affordable.

Vegan sandwich at Cocoa & Butter? HECK YES! Today I popped in to try the new bakery on the block, and I have to say that the Vegan Voyage far exceeded my expectations! The cauliflower is meant to be the star, but have to say that it was the incredible heirloom tomatoes that really made this a crave worthy sandwich for me! The value was also great, as the sandwich came with a little salad and some frites! Although I was on the go today, the store itself is also very chic! Very modern French, and very friendly staff. Looking forward to a longer lunch here in the future!

Elegant and aesthetically pleasing coffee shop. My girlfriend and I stopped here for dessert on a Saturday afternoon and she thought it was super cute. We sampled the vanillla chocolate strawberry and funfetti macarons and a hazelnut donut. The macarons were dry. The donut was tasty, the powdered sugar was clumpy on top and the donut itself was dry. But we did come later on in the day and the pickings were slim by 2pm. Definitely a fun spot for the vibe but food not worth the money.

Food was good; pleasantly surprised at how light and flaky the croissantelle was. The small garlic pizza was crisp and tasty.

Fouzia and the team at Cocoa and Butter have created a remarkable new cafe to enjoy on University Ave. For those seeking a savory small bite and a refreshing atmosphere do stop in! I highly recommend the oatmeal cookies or pistachio croissant as they will keep me coming back for more! Go Cocoa and Butter - you rock! 🙌
