3 Houston Restaurants to Try This Weekend: May 23 | Eater Houston

"A tucked-away, neon-lit tiki bar with eclectic decor and plenty of TVs, this casual spot serves classic and inventive tiki cocktails—examples include the Floor is Guava (vanilla and coconut rums, pineapple, lime and guava) and a Lychee Nut Daiquiri (rum, Giffard Lichi Li, Maraschino liqueur and lime). Talented bartenders are happy to craft custom drinks, and a relaxed back patio overlooks a calm canal where patrons can arrive by boat or jet ski; because parking is limited, ridesharing is recommended." - Brittany Britto Garley

Best Restaurants in Seabrook and Kemah, Texas | Eater Houston

"Tucked into a strip mall, Coco’s is not your average tiki bar. This veteran- and woman-owned hangout offers top-notch cocktails made with fresh juices and garnished with specially dehydrated fruits. The menu features fun sips like the Floor is Guava (vanilla and coconut rums, pineapple, lime, and guava) and a Lychee Nut Daiquiri (rum, Giffard Lichi Li, Maraschino liqueur, lime juice), but if you have something in mind that you don’t see on the menu, tap one of the talented bartenders to help make your dream drink come to life. One of the best parts about Coco’s is the atmosphere. Start inside amid the neon-lit bar before making your way out to the spacious back patio that overlooks the canal, where boats and jet skis dock right alongside regulars and newcomers. Check Coco’s schedule for its weekly lineup of events, including karaoke, live music, and burlesque on the first Monday of each month. Ridesharing is encouraged unless you’re driving in on your boat, since parking is tight." - Brittany Britto Garley

Coco’s on the Canal is one of my absolute favorite spots! The karaoke nights are always such a blast, and on other evenings it’s the perfect place to just relax outside with an outstanding drink. Their cocktails are amazing—I find myself craving them often! The service has always been excellent, with a team that’s friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every visit feels fun and comfortable, and that’s why I keep going back time and time again. Coco’s has such a great vibe, whether you’re looking for lively entertainment or a laid-back evening with friends. Highly recommend—Coco’s never disappoints!

Jake is hands down the best bartender ever! Every time I come to Coco’s, he makes the experience top-notch. He’s fast, attentive, and somehow always remembers exactly what I like to drink. Not only are his cocktails spot-on, but his personality makes the whole bar feel welcoming and fun. He keeps the energy up, takes care of everyone like they’re regulars, and never misses a beat—even on the busiest nights. If you’re at Coco’s, do yourself a favor and sit at Jake’s bar. He’s the reason I keep coming back!

I actually really liked this place! Drinks were delicious and outside patio was very clean! They could use a bit more staff but overall not bad.

Went there on August 16, 2025 for my Son’s 21st Birthday. The ambience was really cool, drinks were excellent, the bartender was fantastic! She made sure that everyone that came in felt welcomed. A few times she got really busy but was able to handle the crowd. Definitely will be back.

Stopped in here with a good friend in July 2025. It was rainy night and dark and wasn't sure about this joint. I was pleasantly surprised. It has an undeniable atmosphere and felt very surfy/beachy/islandy. The set up nice. There was live music. There's an outside by the canal with a nice chill and charm of the air. It can be muggy and buggy, but this is Texas and it is literally next to the water. Definitely recommended. Fun drinks and food. Had the 'charcuterie' board. We were late and that's all they had available. Was perfect. Definitely will stop in if there in the area.

Cocktails are kinda pricey but delicious and so much fun. (I'm a sucker for drinks with funny names) The outdoor seating is great - lots of it and great views. The karaoke stage inside and the atmosphere during karaoke was fantastic. I wasn't brave enough to sing this time, but maybe next time!

Fun place ! Stopped in for Sunday Karaoke and had a blast. Love the decoration very tropical theme. Small inside but the patio out back is great. Lots of seating areas , boat access. Very clean , friendly staff & enough alcohol to make anything you want. My favorite was the tiki bar, literally lol

Yelp
First time to this hide out, glad we stopped by! The venue was hosting Singo Bingo, that was fun, first time for me. The bartender, Bridgette was great! She took our order prepared the drinks as asked HUGE plus. Outside, pizza was prepared as ordered. (Theres a menu but the "Mad Scientist" prepped our pizza as asked.) The bartender also made my wife a beautiful mocktail with an orchid in it. The lighting outside was relaxing and bliss. The scenery was beautiful!

Yelp
As I was leaving this place with my friends , there was a group of young people trying to pick a FIGHT with us . I thought this place was more for chill and relax listening to to a good music on Kemah but it's happen to be a place you gotta watch out for. It isn't safe anymore.

Yelp
Great Drinks & Ambiance! Can't remember the name of the drink but it was basically a PINK Negroni!

Yelp
An acquaintance invited me here. It was my first time, low and behold, I loved sitting outside next to the canal! Peeps know I love water. Hint hint- four stars for the water alone... (^^)/ Let me get into the ambiance. It is dark, but cozy cool. They have a stage for karaoke front and center. Seating is strategically placed to capture the stage. A lot of locals patronize this place. Do not be fooled by the outer appearance. The vibe is beachie; like a vacation bar on the beach. It is a must try. There is a bar, you can also dock your boat out back and come on in. I do not have a comment on service, my aquatinance went to the bar to order. I did notice old drinks were not picked up from the patio; I also noticed only one person manning the entire place and for that- she gets a pass. I did not see their menu. My acquaintance did mention they sale charcuterie boards. Check this place out! I will be back. }:{ #fire

Yelp
I've heard a great deal about this place and there is no wonder...it's along the Canal (not sure which) but if you like beachy/tropical feel this is it...it has a great patio but I spent time at the bar as the patrons and bartender are as entertaining as any ambience may get be. In any case Tiffany was the bartender at this time and typical to a very talented bartender can tell you more about the liquor to select for your mixed drink (in this case a dirty Martini made with, at Tiffany's recommendation, Citadelle Gin) since I was in the mood for something botanical and it was a great recommendation! The second Martini was made with Aviation Gin which was again recommended by Tiffany as I was looking for a variation from the 1st. Bottom line, a great place for 'gourmet' drinks.

Yelp
Had a great time at Coco's on the Canal, was my first time there. Some girlfriends and I went for Singo Bingo for Galantine's night. The bingo was a blast. A couple of complaints. #1, there was no reservation signs on any of the couch areas when I got there. I was the only one in the place so I picked a couch that was open, sat there for an hour with 1 of my girlfriends, no one told me it was reserved and when the party that reserved it arrived, I had to move. Not very happy about that. In that whole hour I sat there. I spoke with the bartenders, not one time did they tell me that seating space was reserved. Secondly, it was Galantine's Singo Bingo night. A guy won the black out bingo both games. That's total BS!!! It was Galentines night for God's sake!!! If they play they should've at least had their spouse go up and claim the prize instead of parading around and gloating AND especially when you have every Thursday night, singo bingo. boo!!!

Yelp
I'm very new to the tiki scene, having first discovered how fun the cocktails are at a distillery in San Leon. I'm so glad to have found Coco's, much closer and like the title says--on the canal! I loved being on the deck with my perfect Last Word. When the mosquitoes invited themselves to join, I really enjoyed the live music and air conditioning inside. The free pizza didn't hurt. The bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable, and our tiki favorites were on the menu (unlike another place on NASA that I will never return to).

Yelp
It's a small place and parking is limited but you will definitely like the ambience. The large back patio off the canal makes the place seem bigger. I love the vibe. Best of all...the bartenders are top notch! Karaoke nights are a plus.

Yelp
Coco's is a cute little bar nestled on the canal. They have some pretty nice decor and an excellent outdoor seating area. They also have a small stage where they feature different acts and live music. We came for burlesque night. While I think this venue has great potential - it is a super cute spot - the 'tiki' drinks left us disappointed. We frequent other tiki bars in HTX, like Lei Low and Toasted Coconut, so we were extremely hopeful that this would be a local clear lake tiki option for us. We also are big followers of the Smugglers Cove book and frequent those tiki joints across the US. The drinks at Coco's were not authentic (they didn't even match the menu descriptions - i.e. the mai tai had coconut cream in it....), and not delicious. We tried two different bartenders and the results were equally as disappointing. It's a shame because they have all the right ingredients, i don't know if they need training or if they need to stick to the recipe or what. Anywho, we will probably be back for live entertainment at some point, but we will stick to non-tiki drinks. Parking is very limited, so recommend getting there very early if you're attending an event.

Yelp
A beautiful place to just simply sit, sip and enjoy the ambiance. A favorite! No food service but you can take your own snacks. Best Old Fashioned in the area in my opinion.

Yelp
This is the chillest place for miles. New, young owner who's been in the industry for years has expanded on the simple casual vibe with theme nights. You're not going to get young dumb people here, nor dollar beer people on the other end. I wish I lived closer.

Yelp
Great relaxed atmosphere. Amazing original cocktail menu and they taste fantastic. Love this place.

Yelp
Awesome tiki bar that knows their history. Their respect to the classics shows in the drinks they make. With the decorations setup, it's a great stop for a vacation in a mug. Without having to be near downtown, it's the only place to get proper tiki drinks in the area!

Yelp
Had a great time at Coco's! The canal is so pretty and the location has awesome outdoor seating as well as a cozy interior. The lychee daiquiri was really good and we really enjoyed the live music too! It's small but mighty, we had a great Sunday Funday!

Jerilyn W.

Yelp
Cocos is a great neighborhood tiki bar on the water with a friendly staff and delicious tiki cocktails. Big patio space to watch the sunset and listen to live music or watch a burlesque or comedy show.

Yelp
Love the Ambiance, and the drinks put you where you need to be. Thank you for the awesome service! Hope to be back soon!

Yelp
