A great Church Street shop. Food is made to order, so you takeaway piping hot. We ordered cod and chips which were super delicious. And of course, a side of mushy peas. I really liked their bottlecap mosaic on the bar.

I walked here on a cold and rainy Friday afternoon expecting some fine cod and chips and beer, that's exactly what I got. Chips aren't freshly cut but they are thick styles. Was surprised that I had to pay for ketchup. But staff where friendly and just gave me the ketchup. Well done common sense.

I loved this Fish & Chip restaurant when it opened - even preferring it to Sutton & Sons. I'm not sure if there's been a change of management, but my experience this week could not have been more disappointing. The batter was no longer fine and crisp - but more like a doughnut batter, with a layer of moist cakey stuff between the batter and the fish. The chips tasted as if they'd been re heated in old oil and the fish itself also had a lingering taste of old oil. So odd. Won't be going back as plenty of choice around here for decent fish and chips. If these are new owners or chefs I'd suggest they get some tips from the previous guys. Nothing wrong with the service which was friendly and efficient, but ultimately it's all about the food.

Delicious fish and chips, we were especially impressed by the batter which was so crispy, one of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had! We really enjoyed sitting at the counter watching our food being cooked. The owners were lovely too, we had a nice chat. A true hidden gem.

Just went recently since opening and what a great addition to the area. IPA on tap was tasty and refreshing. I believe they worked with a brewery to make it which is pretty cool. I had the cod and chips which were delicious and fresh. Good price and generous portions! Generally a good vibe and customer service was friendly in the shop too. Will be back!

My local fish & chip shop was temporarily closed so I thought I'd give this place a try. I was not disappointed, we had Cod & Chips also chicken tenders, wow it was so good, the Cod was skinless & the batter was light & crisp, the flavour on the chicken was so tasty. We enjoyed it so much we ordered again the next night, this time I thought I would try the battered sausage, I liked the fact that they use quality sausages & not those nasty cheap catering sausages that most places serve up. This is now my favourite place to eat for a takeaway 10/10 👍

What a great addition to the neighbourhood! Got a fish and chips, burger and tenders. Tenders were ok, burger was very good and the f&c were some of the best we’ve had. Well seasoned, quality fish and excellent chips. And the service is great, nice people over there. And beers on tap while you wait!

I went last night to try fish and chips for the first time in a long time. It's not my favourite food but I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The Hake was maybe 30 seconds over cooked but the batter was super crisp and oil free. The guy who makes the chips moves them along three friers with amazing hypnotic rhythm before they are served. There was a constant flow of punters. I was the only one eating inside and that is where the magic happens. The beautiful banter between the server and the customers filled my heart with joy for humanity. That alone was priceless.
