Cod & Brew

Just went recently since opening and what a great addition to the area. IPA on tap was tasty and refreshing. I believe they worked with a brewery to make it which is pretty cool. I had the cod and chips which were delicious and fresh. Good price and generous portions! Generally a good vibe and customer service was friendly in the shop too. Will be back!

What a great addition to the neighbourhood! Got a fish and chips, burger and tenders. Tenders were ok, burger was very good and the f&c were some of the best we’ve had. Well seasoned, quality fish and excellent chips. And the service is great, nice people over there. And beers on tap while you wait!

This place is amazing!! Customer service was brilliant, Workers friendly demeanor and genuine care for the customers truly set me apart. very clean service. Delicious cod and chips highly recommend. VERY good portion. Interior of the place was very elegant.

I went last night to try fish and chips for the first time in a long time. It's not my favourite food but I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The Hake was maybe 30 seconds over cooked but the batter was super crisp and oil free. The guy who makes the chips moves them along three friers with amazing hypnotic rhythm before they are served. There was a constant flow of punters. I was the only one eating inside and that is where the magic happens. The beautiful banter between the server and the customers filled my heart with joy for humanity. That alone was priceless.

We visited Cod and Brew on their grand opening day, and it was a hive of activity. The haddock, with a light crispy batter, was delicious as was the generous portion of freshly cooked chips. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes, with a number of vegan and meat options too. A great new business for Church Street.

Went in hungry. Left with my belly full and a smile on my face Fish was lovely and fresh, batter had a nice crisp to it Chips were banging and the ketchup was to die for Had a Dalston Pineapple soda to wash it down with, I love how they are supporting local businesses by having such offerings 👌

Just what the high street needs. A quality chippy at a great price point too. Huge crispy fish, free tartare sauce and delicious chips. The pints they had on were spot on and the staff were lovely. Vegan options too. Keep it up.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cod & Brew and I can confidently say it deserves a solid five stars! The fish was perfectly battered and fried to golden perfection, with a flaky and tender inside that melted in my mouth. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. I also appreciated the generous portions – I left feeling satisfied and happy! If you're in the mood for a classic fish and chips experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
