Sadly had an awful experience at Coffee &. We got here at 11:30pm got a table very quickly & didn't got our food until 12:45am. 2 Burgers burnt to a crisp & cold eggs. We did eat every, but only because it's lent & we haven't eaten since Friday dinner. Will not be back anytime soon.

Google
Perfect throwback restaurant like something you would see on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! The pastries are amazing!

Philly Cheese Stake is great. I order a custom breakfast; Oatmeal with 3 over easy eggs on top, takes some time but it's fresh and healthy Love this place. Oh, the service is friendly but like anywhere, don't mess with the staff or they can treat you the same. You can flirt and they're cool with it -

Finally tried fried gator, and it was the best of the table, tasted like a chewy chicken breast nuggets. We had seafood platter, fish poboy and fried gator, desserts are banana fritter and strawberry donut holes. The fried fish tasted fresh, but after couple of bites, I was fried out… the seasonings are very good, but too heavy to my liking. First time having banana fritter, it tasted like banana bread with apple fritter texture. Strawberry donut hole was glazed donut hole with sweet strawberry jam inside. Overall, if you want to experience the local culture, this is a very down to earth diner, and the portions are large! Definitely embrace the culture!

This gem is a must stop from fresh made donuts to the frozen Frappuccino that are made to order. My favorite donut is the Banana fitter and looking for good hot food they have it. My usual is Philly you will not be disappointed. Going late you will have a wait yet it's worth it.

Was overcharged for our meals as the receipt price was very much different than the menu price. The waitress was nice, but didn’t come check up on anything/anyone. Waited an hour on food. The “medium” steak I ordered came “congratulations” because it was so far past “well done”. I was afraid to say anything because I didn’t want to be there for another hour. This was my second chance for this place and sadly my last. Wish I could give no stars.

Google
Coffee & is a small diner styled restaurant that has a wide variety of breakfast options. I ordered the strawberry french toast which came with grits and eggs. The french toast was alright I’ve had better but the strawberry filling on top was a nice touch. The grits and eggs were pretty good just needed to a seasoning. Our waitress was really polite and knowledgeable about the menu. While the food and service was pretty good I will not be back here for brunch. In the window there is a large flag that is meant to be a sign of support for law enforcement, however in recent years it has been a symbol of discriminatory behavior and harmful rhetoric. #BlackLivesMatter

Google
Service here is really good, and so is the food. Everything is cooked well to order, and the staff make sure your coffee never runs dry. This is better than some of the chain diners in the GNO area.

Yelp
This place is one of the of a kind! Service is great, food is great, price is great! My favorite donut here is the maple bacon, you must try!

Yelp
This is as mom and pops diner as it gets. The entire time I was there, the place was nonstop busy. The stools along the counter were full and the tables were too. The place is a little on the smaller side and it is a little cramped inside, but it shows the following this place has. It is good ole fashioned greasy breakfast food that people crave. I did not get to try a donut, I wish I had, but that means I have to go back to try one. :-) I did try a nice greasy breakfast sandwich on a bagel that hit the spot. I also tried those mini meat pies, those things were packed with a tiny bit of spice that I loved. Everyone behind the counter was friendly and they kept offering me coffee. I sat along the counter on the stools and watched how so many regulars interacted with staff and I loved the atmosphere of it.

Yelp
Can I tell you the truth and say " I have passed this place several times..." and never stopped in. Shame on me. There are several locations in the area and I've never stopped in... smh. At any rate, they offer: all-day breakfast, a full menu, donuts, donuts, donuts, donuts, did I mention donuts... and hold on to your hats KING CAKES!!!! Oh my goodness!!! Y'all had me at breakfast, add in donuts + King Cake... oh chilllleee count me ALL THE WAY in. Stopped in with some of my church members after receiving spiritual food, it was now time for the natural food. And what a great choice it was. I am a person that lovesssssssssss breakfast at any time of the day or night. And this place fits the bill. Here you can get breakfast all day. And donuts too... looks like they make donuts around the clock. Do you see the assortment of donuts? Glazed donuts, apple fritters, hurricanes (not crazy about the name, but hey), donut holes, cinnamon rolls... I'm getting hungry as I write this review. On this day, we all opted for breakfast. It was about eight of us. Miss Iris did a great job of handling the large party. Seems that they pulled some tables together to accommodate us. I love this. I love that you can go into a restaurant and request to sit together and they accommodate you. Some other larger restaurants do not acquiesce and allow you to do that... But this place did. But I digress... We all ordered our food, and it pretty much all came out at the same time. Miss Iris was great in handling the large number of orders and the various substitutions and modifications that we gave her. The food was great, temperature wise, and taste. The price was absolutely right. Tips are not added in even for large parties, and this is a rarity. Most restaurants AUTOMATICALLY add tips for large parties, however, this place did not. And this afforded for us to individually bless Miss Iris, and others, who worked along with her for their excellent service. I would recommend this place. Don't be surprised if you go there and you see me. I love it here for several reasons but namely: 1. All day breakfast 2. Donuts, donuts and more donuts 3. King Cakes 4. Excellent service 5. Fair pricing The donuts: I must admit, I was floored when I entered this facility and saw the wide assortment of donuts they had. I've ONLY seen this variety of donuts at a bakery. Never have I seen it at a bakery/diner. So I am in MY HAPPY PLACE. You mean to tell me, I can get breakfast and donuts. I love donuts. Did I say I love donuts? Just for those in the back of the room, I LOVE DONUTS!!! During the 2 hours of us eating and chatting, I continuously saw them bring out fresh donuts tray after tray... And I saw people come in buying dozens at a time. The King Cakes: I am a self-appointed King Cake aficionado, point-blank PERIOD. I said it and that settles it. I mean, if you read my comment about donuts, then you gotta know that I love king cakes. What is a King Cake but a big ole, nicely decorated doughnut? At any rate, I rate this King Cake a 7 out of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Colored crunchy sugar with iced icing sparsely drizzled on the cake, with cinnamony, soft bread... I love that the King Cakes are made on site and are shipped out via FedEx or UPS, your choice. This in and of itself is an added benefit. Shipping of king cakes is timely. However, this facility takes the guess work out of it. You are able to order and ship online. You never even have to step foot in the store. There are no lines to wait in for King Cake. Come in get your king cake and go your way or get online order your king cake and have it shipped, either way, I love it. Very helpful and friendly staff. When we enter the door we were greeted with smiles. Limited parking as it is a shared parking lot. Pricing is definitely fair.

Yelp
Hi. I ordered (in advance via grub hub) a Cowboy Burger and a Philly Chzsteak Sandwich (sub onion rings for fries) to go, at 12:54 am. It took almost an HOUR to receive my food. At 1:10 AM I was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes. At 1:25am, my party asked how long it would be and that we'd been waiting almost an hour for 2 items, to which the waitress said she would ask. No one came back to update us. When we finally got our food at 1:45am, we were simply told, "Sorry about the wait, have a good night" With no care in the world. As for the food, the taste of Old Oil overpowered the rest of the philly cheese steak to the point I couldn't finish it. And, as for the Cowboy burger, The mayo tasted sour and the meat fell apart everywhere, and by the time we got our food, the fries were cold. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, especially after 10pm. The closer you get to late night/early morning, the less care that seems to be put into the service/food. If I'm going to wait an HOUR for my food it HAS to be worth my time, as time is very valuable, especially when the total is 25+ dollars for 2 items. If food is a long wait, I strongly recommend the establishment to be as apologetic as they can and show some actual care. That would have softened the blow. Bad food + bad service = Waste of time. Due to situations like these, I think that even when they've started preparing, a refund should be available because not everyone wants to "lock in" on the idea of waiting an hour for food they wish they could have canceled. That makes me never want to order with grub hub again

Yelp
My go to place when I want a fried catfish on grilled bun dresssed....its so delicious and hubby loves the shrimp/oyster poboy....do t forget about the fresh Bavarian crème donut holes ..uggg so all good

Yelp
Place has standing room only. A young man gave us his table. We sat and only 2 waitresses there. Only one at the donut counter. It took 21 minutes for this perfect breakfast. It took another 12 minutes to get the check. These folks are working hard and very pleasant. Then there's the donunts!

Yelp
I can only talk for the King Cakes, which was fantastic! I did buy donuts and mini king cakes for our community fridge and pantry. This place was packed. That says a lot about a restaurant. Pretty sure I eye spied many locals to the area. I look forward to coming back for breakfast soon. But I'll be back for donuts and definitely back for their Cream Cheese Praline King Cake.

Yelp
Second visit here and it was much better than the first. Had a group of 5 all sat at the bar in front of the donut display pictured. Again there's a good amount of seating, and a very eye catching menu. This time I went with the hot sausage poboy...it was good. I'm from about an hour south of the New Orleans area, and the Westbank has hot sausage everywhere as I didn't even know what it was before visiting as much as I do now, and I love it. They served me beer in the coffee shoppe/restaurant, as there's a daiquiri shop connected. I ate half of the poboy there and the next morning I finished the other half and it was still very good. Also bought a mini king cake (no filling sadly) and it was pretty good. No complaints on the king cake, I don't remember the pricing at all of this visit but I enjoyed it more than the first visit which it should've been around the same time of day...around 10-11 pm. I enjoy this spot, they have donuts & chocolate milk and the servers are nice and friendly.

Yelp
Very good donuts best we have ever had!! The best food, service and donuts in the US!

Yelp
I love this cafe! Friendly people and lots of options. You can eat bad (sugary) or do a protein meal with a lot of a la carte options. I did both sugar and carbs. Ate grilled pork chops + an egg and also tried the fried apple pie. Also bought a couple of doz of fresh donuts for the swim meet. Cheap!

Yelp
Cute little local place with amazing donuts!! We got 1/2 dozen to go along with a breakfast sandwich in a biscuit. Sandwich was "ok". The inside has stools at counter for seating which is always cool, or regular tables. Homey vibe, nothing fancy. They just have pints of half and half on the table's which we thought was funny.
google avatar

Yelp
Totally love this place! If you're a doughnut shop and you got chocolate milk, you rock by default. They also have mini king cakes and beignets made fresh to order. They offer great with grits as well. Honorable mention: customer service is great. I remember a time when your order always went in a bag and you close and fold it before you give it to the customer. The waitress crushed it. All of the waitresses and waiters are very polite and careful to get the orders right. Check them out.

Jaymee B.

Yelp
Just paid $25 for an Uber to attempt to eat here since everywhere online and on yelp it states this business is open 24hours. Well apparently it's not. Now paying $25 more to go back to my hotel hungry. It would be great to see restaurants value their customers enough to update their hours of operation.

Yelp
This was my first and last time here. As it relates to customer service; it was a very inhospitable experience for me. Upon walking in, I noticed it was busy (which is a good thing) but dismal. The older gentleman, (aka the father) was the only one who greeted us and took our order when his daughter, (the actual waitress), avoided us like the bubonic plague. I'm not sure what her issue was but she mingled and fraternized with everyone else. In terms of the food, I ordered a shrimp and oyster po boy and it was not good at all. Honestly, I make a better po boy at home. The bread was seeded, the tomatoes were unevenly cut and the taste of the sandwich was something I was not use to. The seafood was seasoned but something was missing with the overall flavor, so I just ate the shrimp and oysters. My husband got the liver and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans and he loved it! He said the liver was tender and seasoned well. He was just hungry lol. The donuts are actually pretty good but extremely sweet. The maple bacon donut was good just way too sugary so I only pinched a small piece of it. The bear claw was also good, very soft and also very sweet...I only got a bite of it as well. I had to toss them both because they were over the top sweet for me, even though I'm super sweet. If you're ever in need of a good sugar rush, they've got ya covered. The overall experience was superiorly underwhelming and not very good one for me. I will most definitely never return here. Customer service is always key to me and I tip based on it.

Yelp
We moved here from NY/NJ and this is as close to a NY diner that i have found. The service is fantastic. The food is also fantastic. Most recently, i had the liver and onlions with french fries, a salad, and buttered toast...$8.95. They also have donuts and more donuts so it is hard to get out of there without buying a dozen.

Brianna H.

Yelp
Went in for beignets and got some donuts as well. Beignets were descent. Not the worse we had but not out top. Definitely convenient to get at any time. We liked the smaller ones more. Had a buttermilk donut that was an old fashion and it was really good just really sweet. I could only take a piece of it but that piece was good!! Service was okay, probably to be expected for a 24 hour donut shop.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Insanely affordable, crazy good food and everyone here is the sweetest ever! It's a must have if you're visiting:) the southern hospitality mixed with the amazing pastries and food selection is a HIT. Going to stop back in before we live and get a king cake!!!

Yelp
Great place to eat!!! They serve breakfast 24/7 and make some of the best omelettes. Also there are daily specials, from beans, stews to fried chicken and fish. The food is always fresh and serve quickly. Service is great and attentive. Also during Mardi gras they have wonderful King Cakes. Make sure to try one. The only drawback is that sometimes they get really busy and you have to wait for a table. The restaurant is small. We love going there and will continue to patronize this place. Hope you enjoy it as much as us.

Brittany M.

Yelp
5 stars for this place. I won't go into detail but they go above and beyond for customer service and that's why I'll continue to drive from the North Shore to coffee &.
google avatar

Lynn W.

Yelp
Some of the best king cakes in the land around here. They have different flavors ranging from pralines, cinnamon, bavarian, cream cheese and more The king cakes are only $22 and they make them fresh daily.
google avatar

Walter S.

Yelp
Great 24 hour 'greasy spoon'. Reminds me of a New Jersey or New York Diner (which takes me home)... this place has some of the best donuts around, with a huge selection of flavors. Breakfast available 24 hours a Day is a plus in my book, and the daily specials are home cooked goodness. You MUST try the king cakes during MardiGras they are some of the best in the region (a hidden gem on the West Bank!)

Roni V.

Yelp
We love this place.... The only place you can buy a cinnamon roll with raisins. Breakfast anytime. Crystal rocks ---- makes everyone feel special !!!!

LBX S.

Yelp
Awesome, just awesome. Donut's are very quality. The place never closes which is good too.

Yelp
Trash trash! I sat at the counter for 45 minutes trying to put my order in then I got up an stoned in line to get anybody attention to place my order only for the young lady to tell me the food is gonna take 30 minutes .
google avatar

Rhonda P.

Yelp
Been going to Coffee & for years and never have been disappointed until now. Was craving a roast beef poboy before heading back to Houston so I called in a order to go. Took me 20 minutes to pickup my order. Took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge me then took another 15 minutes to bring my order out. They were not that busy and should not have taken so long to pick up 2 sandwiches. We were Rey disappointed when when we opened the box to find our sandwiches on some soft, seeded, funky azz bread that fell apart and made it almost impossible to eat. Never again will I order from Coffee & with all the other places to get good poboys. Don't know why they changed the bread but it was terrible.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
This is a coffee shop/ doughnut an cafe!! They have a big menu from breakfast to lunch an seafood!! They have lunch special Monday through Friday an you can order almost anything on the menu!! They even sell Frozen an mixed drinks an beer!!! They also have free WiFi

Devante S.

Yelp
Shit trash they take all day to take your order and I mean you'll be in line for 30 minutes, I see why they ain't fucking with Joe's then if you ain't white the server don't want serve you fast enough
google avatar

Yelp
The name is wrong - it's "Coffee &" - and its the "&" that is the best. Baked items you will not believe, from scrumptious donuts to amazing king cakes. and the staff are delightful. what a nice coffee AND place!
google avatar

Yelp
Came for a donut and a cup of coffee - stayed for an omelette and some nice conversation. This place has a real diner feel and the full menu is available 24 hours a day. Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
Friendly staff, excellent donuts, clean. Not fancy but a good cup of coffee and donuts

Yelp
Staying at Bayou Segnette SP. Did not want to run into french quarter for beignets w morning coffee. Found this place on yelp, looked like a great local hangout. They were sure busy everyone ordering donuts and rolls like crazy. I ordered my beignets waited while they were made to order. Now I've had beignets at Cafe Du Monde, Beignet Cafe so my standards r high. What I got from Coffee was tuff and chewy. To me it was like the dough was over mixed. Ok for early morning run to go with a cup of coffee, but if ur looking for Nola beignets got to French quarter.

Coru U.

Yelp
This place is okay. I came and ordered two club sandwiches with no pickles and substitute the American cheese for cheddar and got two clubs with no bacon, American cheese on it and cheddar on my fries.....the cheese was im sure an honest mistake. Came back in to let them know and get a refund for at least the missing bacon and would of just kept the sandwiches but the servers couldn't do a refund so went to get the manager who also couldn't do a refund. We told them when they offered to remake it that we were in a rush, we were working late night. This was at 2am. The manager came over to explain that she also couldn't do any refund.....not sure why she was a manager or why a manager can't do a refund but she explained it to us six times when we understood the first time. It made us lose out on our morning contract causing us to lose money. Then we were told we had to come back at 7am to get the refund. We work at night and sleep in the day so normally we are headed to bed by 5 to 6 am. We asked if we could call in and were told maybe but it's best to come in because sometimes they are too busy to answer their phones. We would have been happy with a 5 dollar refund, 2.50 off for each sandwich missing the bacon but were told absolutely not. If we keep the food then no refund will be issued. So we left the food there to be seen by the owner I guess so we could get refunded....a waste of food and we left hungry. Just bad business pratices. Ok now to top it off, the couple bites we took out of the club before realizing it had no bacon was good just missing the bacon, so we went back a couple days later to give it another try. Decided to order just one to split and decided even if it's wrong we will just deal with it and eat it. Ordered it the same and this time the cheddar cheese was on the sandwich, it was shredded but whatever lol, no pickles like we asked, but no lettuce on it which we wanted on it and didn't ask for it to be left off.....we didn't tell them, we just laughed and ate it. If they could get it together I would give them 4 or 5 stars because their donuts are good and the food is alright too.

Mary M.

Yelp
Went to Mardi Gras and went looking for an after hours place for food. Came upon Coffee and what a gem. Our server was great. We ordered all sorts of appetizers and they were delish. Shrimp quesadilla, alligator bites, chili cheese fries, mini chili cheese dogs, and mozzarella. Great and delicious food.

Yelp
An old school cafe. The donuts looked good and there was a large selection, too much sugar for me. Sat at a table and had breakfast. An excellent hot sausage omelet. Decent rye toast. Hash browns were dried out shreds and totally inedible. Coffee was typical weak diner coffee. Refills were slow in coming. Friendly and well priced but the food doesn't merit a return visit.

Yelp
When anyone, especially a foodie, wakes up from hunger and a drunken ex-wife on the phone (AGAIN), "Coffee &" comes to the rescue. Im a chef. And like most chefs, we appreciate each others' work. Great staff. The cook sat with me for a few seconds, and talked about being responsible for love of product and clients. Waitstaff were very New Orleans/West Bank friendly", which is why I have not taken any job more than 1/4 mile from The Mississippi River. I could easily drop three columns about the authenticity of the food at "Coffee &", but I hate being a "spoiler". Try it for youself.
google avatar

George A.

Yelp
I love little coffee shop/diners that serve no frills, inexpensive solid breakfasts, and that's exactly the type of restaurant this place is. I've been here a couple times when visiting New Orleans and I've always had a good experience. I forget what they call it, but I've just gotten the basic breakfast special (w/eggs, sausage, & hashbrowns) both times. It's solid. My friend who I was visiting w/the last time had a veggie omelette that she said was very good & my nephew loves the donuts. Sure, the place has no atmosphere but who really cares? The service here is fast & friendly. They're quick w/coffee refills and I appreciate that.

Yelp
I have often found myself wondering what goes after the & in the name Coffee &. Someone once told me it was donuts, but there is so much more to this place. I have been coming to this location for years. I started coming late nights, but eventually learned it was good enough to eat here when it was bright outside too. In my opinion, this is one of the best breakfast spots on the Westbank. The western omelets are very good, as are their other breakfast items. One of the neat things about this restaurant is that they serve the full menu whenever they are open. That means burgers for breakfast or omelets for dinner. Some of the other items that are pretty good, but not as good as the omelets are: Burgers: fried and greasy, but in a good way. These are even better on french bread. Po Boys: While they wont win any awards, the po boys are great late at night or for lunch. Coffee: Hell, it's in their name, it better be good. I highly recommend this Coffee &. The other locations are not as good, so stick with this one and you wont be disappointed.

Yelp
I am originally from Lafitte, but now live in NC. Everytime we come home to visit, we usually just settle for Mcdonalds for breakfast. I really wanted some beignets, but didn't wanna drag my boys out to the French Quarter. My mom told me about this place, and that they had beignets. We ended up eating breakfast here twice on our trip. The first time, I just had beignets. They were really good! Maybe not quite as good as Cafe Du Monde, but they hit the spot. Paired with coffee, it was a very good breakfast. My husband also had beignets, along with a meat omelet. He loved his omelet. Said it was the best he'd ever had. My son had eggs and grits and he seemed pleased. The server we had was nice but not so friendly. She seemed to either be overwhelmed or just not happy to be there. At least she did her job well. The next morning, we met a friend there. It was a little chaotic because we needed a bigger place to sit and it was packed, so the servers were having trouble getting together enough tables and seemed to be getting frustrated. Once we got settled, things went pretty smoothly. I ordered eggs, bacon, grits, and a biscuit. Everything was decent. Wish my bacon would've been a little more cooked. My husband ordered another omelet, adding on some extra meat as a side. My son had an egg and cheese sandwich. I asked them to fry the egg instead or scramble, but it was scrambled anyways. He still ate it but had a little trouble as it kept falling off the bread. Service was meh this time around. I'd still rather have breakfast here than McDonald's or Shoney's. It's good food for a good price. Just be prepared for a ton of people and a little lack on service.

Yelp
Opened 24 hours, basically a breakfast spot, diner style. We normally always pass by here after going party. Their buffalo wings use to be spicier, but they toned it down.. which kind of sucks.. I liked the heat. However, still good!
google avatar

Tyger L.

Yelp
Bite-size beignets, delicious iced caramel coffee, and a selection of doughnuts that will make your head spin. This is definitely a spot that I will be returning to! It looks like they have a full menu as well. Everyone was nice and courteous, the line can be long, but it's easy enough to figure out that you move to the side once you're done ordering your to-go order. Oh, and the spot next door (I think it must be owned by the same people because the food menu is the same on both sides) serves daiquiris and other assorted beverages 24 hours a day (if you're into that sort of thing! hahaha).

Yelp
Best donuts I've ever had! Friendly staff excellent food and the lunch menu has great choices

Yelp
My husband and I went to Coffee & (Marrero location) yesterday and we were very satisfied. Both of us ordered a breakfast meal and coffee. The food was very good and prepared exactly as we wanted. Table service was good. They have a nice menu with more than just breakfast items, as well as daily specials. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Yelp
First time here in awhile maybe in years. But breakfast was pretty good just a normal breakfast with eggs, sausage, hash browns. Not sure about cleanliness though. They look busy and place has been there for years. Maybe an upgrade may help. Staff was very nice and friendly. We were greeted right away and was immediately seated. We probably waited about 15-20 for food to come out which was fine Will most likely come back
