Love this new coffee place! The vibes are immaculate, lots of seating. Great place to work remotely. The coffee is super good and comes out super fast. Also have tried a couple of their items off their food menu and they’re pretty solid! My favorite so far is their steak wrap off of the lunch menu. It’s a bit small, but very good. Overall would definitely recommend trying Platform out!

I give this place 5 stars all across the board. I love the modern aesthetics. This place is spacious, clean, comfortable and peaceful. I got the Lavender Peppercorn Latte with Almond Milk. It was good the peppercorn definitely outweighs the lavender. I made a commitment to try all of coffee shops and Southern based restaurant chains but I gained 8 pounds since I started. Yikes! But everything in Charlotte that I tried so far been so good. It is too hard for me to slow down. This coffee shop also has a nice outdoor section. You need to come check it out.

It was my first time here. We ordered a coconut ube latte, breakfast sandwich, avocado toast with egg and bacon, and waffle with bananas and strawberries. They make all their syrups in house. The food was very good and fresh. They kindly gave us a free baked good. We will be back!

DO NOT GET THE CARNE ASADA add on for the salad(s), it was not flavorful and reminded me of ground beef. They also forgot my other toppings for the salad, but I’m not going to let this one mess up take away from how good this place is! The kale Caesar with chicken and their lavender oat milk latte are both amazing. I’m here at least once a week!

I recently visited this coffee shop and was thoroughly impressed. The avocado sandwich was absolutely unique and delicious—definitely something you won’t find anywhere else. The atmosphere was just "wow," with a cozy and inviting vibe that made it a perfect spot to relax. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The coffee is exceptional, rich and full of flavor, prepared by friendly and skilled baristas who clearly take pride in their craft. I haven’t tried their breakfast options yet, but they look incredibly tempting—definitely something I’ll come back for. A must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone who appreciates a great ambiance!

Platform is actually amazing! I've been here once when they first opened and most recently today & yesterday back to back. This place is always packed no matter the hours no matter the day. Plenty of parking as well. Yesterday, I ordered an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese - which is surprisingly delicious (as a Jersey girl), an iced vanilla latte - which is SO delish, and scrambled eggs - which is great as well. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place just to hangout or do some work! The atmosphere is welcoming and there’s so much seating. The coffee is great and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend getting the turkey sandwich. The melted mozzarella on it was delicious.

I really want to like this coffee shop. It has great drinks, good food (limited menu right now), and friendly service. My main complaint is that sometimes they are blaring Christian music. I understand it's a church in the back on the weekends, but during the week they play it as well sometimes. Other times they play pleasant instrumental jazz or other streamline coffee shop music. I wish I knew which days to avoid - I don't want my coffee with Christian music.

Such a nice coworking space! Blueberry matcha was divine (texture was great- not chalky like some places serve it) and the avocado toast was seriously one of the best I've had... I mean look at all the garnishes! Whatever toasted crumbles they put on top absolutely complete it. They also add some sort of chili oil so it has good flavor. The baristas are extremely lovely as well!

When I tell you this place currently houses my favorite iced latte in all of Charlotte I'm not lying. One of the baristas knows my order by heart at this point, and I'm a firm believer I'm one of the sole reasons they are starting to sell their honey cinnamon syrup! If you're ever in the area, and you love a DAMN good iced latte, the honey cinnamon iced latte will literally cure anything that ails you!

Favorite coffee shop in Charlotte!! The baristas are hands down the friendliest in town, and are always willing to provide suggestions or surprise orders (which I love when it comes to coffee because they usually pick something I'd overlook on the menu) Their pricing is comparable to Starbucks for a local shop and the inside is spacious and allows plenty of tables to work or socialize. Aside from the staples, which don't disappoint, the seasonal menu has been my recent obsession. The "Old West" (rosemary, salted caramel) is the perfect mix of savory and sweet and the Moonlight special (coconut, ube, and espresso) is surprisingly delish coffee twist if you want a mid day pick me up.

I enjoyed stopping by Coffee at Station West. This is a recent development in Wesley Heights, right off the Seversville greenway. The panini was delicious and is now my hyper fixation of the month. This shop was quiet for WFH and pretty empty at noon.

Wow I've been wanting to go to this coffee shop for a while and am so glad I chose to come here today. The space is beautiful with natural lighting. There is plenty of parking available too. I spoke with the friendly barista and he shared more about the store and roasting process. I'm somewhat a coffee snob and I am definitely coming back here. I tried the Ethiopia pour over and it had a nice finish - smooth and not too acidic.

Back drop was one of those places we kind of stumbled upon and we are glad we did! Originally came out to west charlotte for the batchmaker but my friend wanted some coffee too so it was perfect that Back drop was right there. Overall: 4.8/5 When: Saturday 11am Drinks: 4.8/5 - so i'm not a coffee drinker myself so i asked my friend what his thoughts were on the coffee: "tastes great, tastes amazing." And well there you have it folks. That's all the feedback i get for asking a male to rate coffee :-) Service: 4.7/5 - cashier was super nice! Greeted us and was very personable. Nothing too special though. Vibes: 4.8/5 - place was poppin!!! Definitely not a quiet shop if you're looking for that. A lot of friends and family hanging out, catching up, grabbing food and drinks. Place was pretty packed for 11am on saturday Other: free surface lot. there is seating outdoor too and a large courtyard with a fire pit, cornhole, and more seating

4.5 stars - cute decor, good latte, quiet ambiance. We stumbled upon this place when visiting The Batch House, which is next door. I think this place changed (or is changing) their name. It was pretty nondescript and a small sign on the building just said "Coffee at Station West." We almost didn't notice it at first. I ordered the Old West Latte off the summer menu and was impressed with the espresso. The drink was also not overly sweet, which I prefer. Minus half a star because they were out of matcha when we went which was a little disappointing because the Daydream (matcha summer latte) was what I really wanted to try. We visited on a Friday at around 11am and noticed that the shop itself was really quiet and there were quite a few people in there working. They had power strips and free Wi-Fi.

Really cool space with good cold brew. Went here as a little date with my fiancée and as a place to get some work done. Friendly staff and a lot of great options for food and drink.

4.5 stars - Fantastic coffee. Wonderful service. Vibe changed over the hour I was there from 10 people at 10 different tables on their laptops to maybe 4 computer tables and a few tables of two having quiet conversations. I preferred the liveliness of the latter, but it's a quiet place to work if you're looking for that. Vanilla latte was one of the best I've had in Charlotte. Also it's in same cluster as The BatchHouse which is a win. Only thing I'd change is the Christian alt rock playing on the speakers... but to each his own and maybe they don't play that all the time. I'll come back if I'm in the neighborhood again.

My favorite coffee shop in CLT! Obsessed with the ice blended lattes which is actually hard to find anywhere else and they taste so good here. Great atmosphere for working and delicious food menu.

While looking for batchhouse bakery, I stumbled upon Backdrop Coffee] and y'all I couldn't be happier. Not only are the staff and owners nice the food and coffee is insanely good. I ordered the sourdough waffles with bananas, housemade flavored whip cream and honey but will be back for the avocado toast.. While here, i experienced my first coffee batching (coffee tasting) and never realized how freshly roasted and ground beans could taste different depending upon the region. if you are looking for a great locally owned coffee shop and want to expand your knowledge of coffee I'd highly suggest Backdrop Coffee] because they have a passion for coffee and it shows. 5 out of 5 from me... I had such a great experience here.

Backdrop has such an incredible mission and is run by the kindest family. My husband and I are big fans of their coffee and their hospitality. This space is super unique and a great addition to Charlotte. I definitely suggest going with a latte or their drip coffee here. I have never been anything but ecstatic when I do. I recently tried their chai latte to avoid taking on too much more caffeine for the day though and I was not the biggest fan. I wouldn't suggest the chai but everything else so far has been amazing. This is a great location to catch up with friends but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for working. Being in a remote role, I take a lot of Zoom calls and unfortunately, I couldn't take my calls without struggle here due to how loud the environment was. It could've been the day I chose so I wouldn't completely rule it out but I won't chance it again on a call-heavy day. If I am looking for a place to chat and grab coffee with a friend though... this is it.

Best honey cinnamon latte & vanilla cinnamon latte - I stop on my walk every weekend. such a great atmosphere, very spacious & cozy. Staff has been great. I have never had their food but looks good from what I've seen.

The place is nice, but they are making changes to the menu. There is no phone number for the restaurant!! So..I would literally have to drive there to see if they are done making changes. The only Website is through Instagram. So, unless you have an IG account, you can't contact them. I can tell the owners are younger. You are limiting your demographic. If you have an Instagram account, and can confirm they are serving food, then go.

I love this place! I go every Saturday and always have the best experience and coffee. The iced vanilla latte with oat milk is to die for. The service is top notch. Olivia, Langdon, and Jaz are all phenomenal! They always greet me with a warm welcome and even know my name, which says a lot! Their food is delicious as well. It is very spacious inside with a lot of seating. It gets pretty busy on a Saturday which is nice to see! This is the perfect place to go on a weekend to catch up with a friend!

This coffee place is so cute! Y'all need to go. Like you should go right now. Right when we walked in we were greeted by the owner. We felt so welcomed! How many times can you say you were greeted by the CEO of Starbucks when getting coffee there? Yeah never. No shade to Starbucks but if you want to feel at home, I definitely recommend coming to this place. It's a local coffee shop that has a beautiful and unique coffee lounge. I had the Iced Vanilla Latte, the avocado toast with 2 cute little boiled eggs, and thennnn I had the coolest waffles. Sourdough waffles with berries!!! Ya you read that right, sourdough waffles. The Foremans are transforming Charlotte's coffee scene in such a beautiful way, committed to hiring people with disabilities at both their Haerfest Roastery and Backdrop coffee house. The scents and tastes are outstanding (Get.The.Waffles.) but it's the family-focused, kind and generous atmosphere that will win your heart and keep you coming back. Plus who doesn't want amazing coffee packaged in art created by talented but often overlooked people with disabilities? The Foremans' business model is a "yes we can" approach to one of society's challenges, finding meaningful employment with the right supports and room to grow for people whose disabilities will not define them. Just wonderful!!!

First time trying, wont be back. went on a Thursday afternoon. I almost didn't see it when I was pulling up because there was no signage. The young girl at the counter says they were changing the name so understandable. Ordered a decaf flat white and an everything bagel. When the girl called me up for my drink i noticed my bagel was on the bare COUNTER .... No paper or sheet under it, no plate, just on the filthy counter.. also the girl didn't put on gloves until I started watching her. I had a feeling I should have stayed to watch her with the bagel but I went to set up my stuff. That was really gross and unsanitary and I think if i was watching her she wouldn't have done it. The bagel was barely toasted, very doughy, but I've had worse bagels. Latte was mid. They close at 3pm which is super early, not even a full work day. Also, The music was also way too loud to study and it had a song saying "f*ck you for that, f*ck you for everything, this and that" full curse word... horrible. Due to unsanitary surface with the bagel, the loud music with curse words and the fact there are just SO MANY remote work options in Charlotte open a lil later. Im gonna cross this one off my list. Wont be back.

Yay! I'm the first to review Backdrop Coffee. I don't know how this business doesn't already have a Yelp page because it's great! I ordered an iced Americano and a toasted everything bagel w/ cream cheese. Both were fantastic. The coffee was top quality. And my everything bagel was perfectly toasted, fluffy, and chewy. They are very generous with their cream cheese! But if bagels aren't your thing, they also offer sourdough waffles, parfaits, and avocado toast. I didn't have anything else, but I am certain their other options are superb as a lot of people here seemed to be munching on their food! Lastly, wow, the workers here are super friendly! I can't wait to go back! TIP: This place is very spacious. There is a ton of comfy and various seating arrangements (large couches, armchairs, tables). In other words, it's a great place for meeting friends and studying! I predict this place will THRIVE.

Amazing and beautiful space. Staff is so sweet and friendly. Everything is so reasonably priced. I am visiting for my friend's wedding, so happy to have found this spot. As a bit of a coffee snob, I can say how delicious their coffee is!

Such an amazing coffee shop!! The seating area is great for studying and there's also a cute outdoor area & right nextdoor to the Batchmaker. The staff here are friendly. I ordered a vanilla latte, and it's perfectly sweetened and their coffee beans are great quality. It isn't watered down or overpowered with milk. I will definitely be coming back!! FYI if you come during a busy time (I came while there was a private event in another building), there is a parking lot in the back. There's a lot of parking spots available so no need to worry about parallel parking

I've been here once and the coffee was pretty good. I decided to go again, and this time I noticed a ton of elevation church banners outside, which was odd. I walk in, there's nobody serving coffee but I can hear some airhead preaching about how much Jesus loves you. So idk if it's a coffee shop or a feelgood church. What I do know is that anyone who has ever stepped foot in a mega church OR a coffee shop full of evangelicals can tell you that the vibe is actually better in hell. Not Just Coffee is another coffee shop right around the block. I would suggest that, especially if you see the elevation church banners outside.

This was my second visit in as many days, and a few things stuck out to me. First off - Langdon not only remembered me, but was happy to see me. He was welcoming and conversational which I appreciate. Something that came up in our conversation today was "the details matter" - and that was the second thing I noticed. For example, the nitro cold brew comes with an ice cube THAT'S MADE OF COFFEE. Maybe I've been under a rock but this was like mind blowing. Last thing I'll note is that when we mentioned going to check The Batchmaker, another local business that's next door, Langdon was all about it. It's nice to see businesses support each other like that. Anyway, if you want good coffee, good conversation, and a cool spot to hang out, check out Backdrop. And go grab a cookie from Batchmaker while you're at it.

I randomly stumbled upon this coffee shop today and had the most pleasant interaction with the staff. Customer service is a priority for them and it shows. I ordered the chai latte and it was very good and I look forward to coming back.

Incredible customer service, everyone here is genuine, kind, and friendly. Vibes are excellent to study, read, or a casual chat. Music isn't super loud, but provides some background noise. Cozy chairs to sit in and also tables near outlets. They have lots of fun coffee drinks and some food options as well. They've got board games and art supplies for kids and adults too! I was a little skeptical when I drove up, but could not have been more impressed. Would totally recommend trying it out!

AWESOME spot - def recommend coming here sooner rather than later. Super cute outdoor area to along with a large, open area inside to work, hang, or just admire the ambiance. Service was amazing - super friendly staff. The coffee selection was great; strongly recommend the cold brew along with one of their home made sauces.
