The 38 Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires, Argentina | Eater

"Given more than 60 percent of the population in Argentina is of Italian descent, locals take their pizza very seriously, often getting into heated debates over which pizzeria serves the best Buenos Aires-style pie. So when Roma, a “bar notable” (deemed of cultural importance by the city government), nearly shuttered after 90 years in business, the pizza-loving restaurant group behind La Fuerza Vermouth took over the idyllic Abasto corner spot. To order like a pro, start the meal with chicken and beef empanadas, followed by a wood-fired pizza al molde (thick crust), and wash it all down with the house vermút con soda water." - Allie Lazar

The service is slow here, but then the place was packed, and they do a lot of takeouts, so I’m gonna factor that in. For the food, I tried the Homemade rolled ‘Matambre’ with Green salad with vinaigrette on the side. It was okay but not great. Maybe you’re better off going with their specialty pizzas and empanadas. Edit: after trying the empanadas here, I can def confirm they make some of the best. I increased my rating to 5/5.

Came here as part of an Airbnb Flavours of Argentina experience. A big shout out to our host Juan, whose day job is as a chef. This old established business has retained its charm. The owners have also added some contemporary interest with a series of homage portraits of Argentinian football stars. My only quibble is that as much as I admire Lionel Messi, the great Diego Maradona should have been in the centre! On to food and drink, the empanadas are claimed to be the best in the city and they didn’t disappoint. Amust have. A range of Vermouths are on offer, all were top notch, each with different tones. Well worth a visit.

Stopped by for a simple, quick lunch on my way to an appointment nearby. Wasn’t super hungry, but wanted to make sure to check out the place after hearing so much about it. Had just two empanadas, one beef, one ham and cheese - both were very tasty and came out quick. If I’d had more time I would have liked to try their budín de pan (bread pudding) but alas, next time it is. The service was friendly and I wasn’t sure they’d accommodate a table for me for just two empanadas but they did not mind, which I appreciated. The ambience is very turn of last century and not meant to be a fancy place.

Highly recommend the empanadas here - both the spicy beef and the chicken were amazing. Freshly baked, and the spices flavors were incredible. Homemade taste. Atmosphere preserves the historic vibe and is hidden off the beaten path.

If somebody told you to try a pizza in Buenos Aires, this is the right place to do it. Do not go to the typical characteristic places. Here They really have the best pizza in Buenos Aires. A local told me to come over here, and it’s not only the best pizza, but it's also the best experience. The bar is so cute, so traditional, you really feel you're somewhere. Well, you are in Myosotis, which is one of the most amazing cities in the world, but in a mix of any corner or the most amazing other cities in the world. Ali was very nice. He guided me through the menu and recommended the best options. I also tried the empanada, which was filled with carne picante. Ale guided me and he is so nice.Believe me, that is a place to come over and try the pizza, cold beer, wine, and have a great time.

The empanada de carne picante was ridiculously good. So was the pizza. A pizza grande is enough for two. A pizza chica (pequeña?) is okay with a few empanadas. The empanada de pollo was a bit dry. Also nice atmosphere, it's a bar notable.

Went there as part of a food tour. We began with a tasting of Argentinian vermouth and followed it up with samples of their empanadas. The empanadas were fantastic! They use a brick oven and I heard their pizzas are also very good! This is a historic bar and well worth a visit!

We had pizza, faina and empanadas. They were good and we had a nice time in the peaceful atmosphere of the bar. We had a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon.
