Google
Coffee box located in Downtown El Paso, Texas. Order outside, no siting outside but they have a loft area upstairs to sit and enjoy your coffee while surfing the web on your phone or computer. We only ordered drinks. Cute place.

Christina Martin

Google
The food and coffee was great! We ordered the horchata iced latte and a vanilla latte as well as the green wrap. Totally recommend! We had to wait a little for our order but completely worth the wait!

Google
This is my third time coming and if that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. Drinks are really good and I love the environment they have created. Service was eager to serve and attentive. I downloaded the app and will certainly be back.

Google
Absolutely love the coffee. It's consistent and creamy. Hardly any scoops are necessary for a 32 oz french press and you'll get a great tasting medium blended brew. Service treats you real kind and the food is wonderful as well. I just wish there were a bit more options for food.

Google
May 2025: Updated Menu :) lots of sugar free syrups, which is always a plus for me at a coffee shop.

Google
I was recommended the Apple Pecan muffin and the Cocochata with espresso. Both were amazing and priced reasonably. Atmosphere is very unique and perfect to catch your breath while downtown.

Google
The first time I went to the coffee box I got like this chocolate drink, yum it was so good I couldn't wait to go again. When I did I got a charcoal coffee drink and it was also so delicious. Every drink I've gotten here was made to perfection. They're also cool! I got a free drink on my birthday! I love the vibe , it's super laid back. Everybody is so nice and they have such an aesthetic coffee shop. I like that it's situated in downtown. Close for students and at a convenient place next to San jacinto park which is pretty neat. Their drinks are honestly the best, and I choose this place over coffee anywhere else.

Google
A good review can make a big difference for a business—it builds trust, attracts new customers, and boosts the team’s confidence in what they do. For me, leaving a positive review is a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation for great service or a quality product. It feels good to support a business I believe in and to help others discover something worthwhile. A few kind words can go a long way in encouraging and uplifting both the business and future customers.

Yelp
They have so many sugar free options which I love and I haven't seen no one post what they have so this is for my sugar free peoples.

Yelp
While not the greatest little find, it sure hit the spot in the am. We walked over from a nearby hotel for our am fix. The sandwiches were good, as was the coffee. The muffin was nothing special. The upstairs space was small, but not that busy when we stopped by. Overall a decent spot in the area and a much better option over the hotel breakfast.

Yelp
I think they forgot to blend in a Mazapan in my Mazapan frappe--it tastes like a watered down coffee slush. $8 for this (medium plus 20% tip) and I'm sad. The young lady at the counter was super sweet, so that's nice (it's El Paso, we're all nice :) Maybe I'll come back. I mean, this is my 3rd Mazapan frappe here and today, when I needed it most (long day and it's not even noon), I was so bummed :-(

Yelp
Cool spot. A converted storage crate into a coffee shop. Seating upstairs. Nice and quiet. Tip: bathroom in the park 5 minutes away Parking was paid street parking or lot. Don't pay for the lot... it's more expensive than the coffee you're going to get
google avatar

Yelp
My friends and I are visiting EP and we wanted some coffee this afternoon. My friend ordered an horchata latte, but received a drink with no coffee in it at all...and when we tried to get it fixed, one of the ladies kept trying to tell us that she didn't order a drink with coffee in it (which she had). So she paid AGAIN only for them to give her the wrong drink, AGAIN. We were in a hurry - otherwise I would have stayed to ask for a refund for both drinks. They were very busy and backed up so we were trying to be understanding, and my friend is very patient. But this was not a good experience. I would recommend you find somewhere else to buy coffee

Yelp
Love this shop! I visit every time I come to El Paso. Located across the Plaza from the Plaza hotel in cute shipping containers
google avatar

Julian V.

Yelp
We found out the top floor was locked after we had bought drinks and snacks. The look of horror on our faces when we found the upstairs space locked and unavailable could not be recreated in this lifetime. We were left with mid tasting drinks and no where to sit down. Truly disappointed in this place and don't know how much longer it can stay in business with fake promises such as this one
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Cool environment! Mainly went because the menu looked great and the it's a storage container! I loved that you could either choose to grab and go or sit upstairs and relax. Bagel sandwich was good but nothing spectacular. Horchata iced coffee was delish!

Yelp
OK first and foremost, if you're confused about parking, don't worry. This shop is located in a pay parking lot, but there's special reserved spots for this shop so if you're just grabbing something to go, technically you don't need to pay anything since the service is quick. I spent a while circling the block for street parking since I didn't realize this. XLarge Mazapan Frappe ($6.25 for 24 fl oz)- Mazapán is a popular Mexican candy made of peanuts and powdered sugar, and is a pretty unique flavor. I got this with almond milk to accentuate the nutty flavor. I thought this was delicious. I'll admit, this is only the second shop where I've gotten this flavor, but I thought that the candy flavor came out well in this drink. You take a sip and the peanut flavor comes through, followed by the coffee flavor after. It works well together. There are some unblended chunks of candy in this, which I thought was fine, but if you want a uniform drink I guess you could ask for it to be double blended. I would get this again! There's also a seating area on the second floor, if you want to gather with friends to enjoy food and drinks together.

Adina H.

Yelp
Got a blue raspberry drink. Couldn't even drink 1/4th of it. Taste like they dumped sour patch kids and the sour powder in it. So gross. How disappointing especially after walking in the sun and wanting a refreshing drink

Yelp
This is a great little spot. Easy to walk to right off the bus transfer station and Park. The lattes were really good and we were able to sit on the roof top deck to enjoy our drinks. The guys working there were friendly and even offered a little advice when asking for a big breakfast place. (He said L&J Cafe)

Silas C.

Yelp
skip the crappy hotel coffee and head over to the Coffee Box! coffee beats Starbucks any day and the customer service is excellent. better than any chain brand, this spot is built out of shipping containers with an upstairs seating area.
google avatar

Jessica O.

Yelp
Super cool coffee shop located in downtown El Paso. You order downstairs at the window and then there is indoor and outdoor seating upstairs to enjoy your purchase. I ordered a hot Jasmine Green Tea and it was as expected. I enjoyed the music playing over the speakers and the ambiance of the upstairs area. This was a great place to read before my flight. I would gladly come back here if I find myself in El Paso again.
google avatar

The Thumbs Critic ..

Yelp
This café is uniquely cool with a distinct vibe--almost tubular, dude (but rectangular)! Unfortunately, customers have to pay for parking.
google avatar

Elsa C.

Yelp
Walking around downtown El Paso Texas looking for coffee and found this cute coffee shop. This coffee shop is in old shipping containers. So you walk up to the window place you order pay and wait for them to call out your name for your ready order. The people here are nice and patient and answered our questions. They also take Apple Pay here. The drinks were nice and hot and better price then that other place with a "star" in their name. If in downtown El Paso try this place. Get the coffee to go, walk enjoy your day no place to sit here but it is across the street from a park with several sitting areas.

Yelp
Stopped here on an early Sunday morning and have been thinking about it since. Placing an order was easy and my iced coffee came out fasts I sat on the small patio upstairs and took in Downtown El Paso. The place is really cool as it seems to be made out of an old shipping container which gave it great vibes as they repurposed something and brought it back to life!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent iced tea and pina colada smoothie. This is a great spot and convenient at the plaza. Customer service is on top and quick. Highly recommend!
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Was in El Paso for the weekend and tried this coffee shop out. This drink does not take effect until the next day. Great way for detoxing
google avatar

Ceivy M.

Yelp
Outside ordering and seating so bring a sweater if you plan to come here in the winter months. The Horchata Latte has two shots of espresso and tastes amazing. I'd describe it as a creamier and sweeter version of an horchata, I highly recommend it. I don't think they make the macaroons themselves as they pulled them out of a plastic container, but for $1.75 they are definitely worth it.
google avatar

Nifer S.

Yelp
The patio upstairs is so lovely! The horchata latte was delicious. All of the staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
google avatar

Aleeda N.

Yelp
The iced chai was delicious! My fiance got the charcoal latte and said it was good but a little sweet for him.
google avatar

Kiyoshi M.

Yelp
Everything there is super and the guy in the register is so nice. I recommend the Taro is my favorite!
google avatar

Janeth D.

Yelp
One of my favorite things to do when visiting family is going to get me a Charcoal Latte

Nikolas M.

Yelp
Drinks and flavor selection are good, just too much ice for my liking. Good variety and prices to reflect

Yelp
I needed to feed my hungry 20-yr old daughter early in the morning on past Sunday (Jan 3, 2021) while we were browsing the streets in this far west city in TX. I used to live in TX (Dallas) back in mid to late 90's but I had never had a chance to visit El Paso so the last Sunday was the very opportunity for me to visit it at last!! I really enjoyed seeing the quiet downtown El Paso where we located this intriguing looking coffee shop only a few hundred yards from our parked car. Perfect place I thought. We didn't need any coffee; just a little bite to eat. My daughter picked an onion bagel with cream cheese. She ended up getting an everything bagel instead; oh well, it's a little mistake so we weren't that mad. She wished though that the cream cheese had a larger portion as it was barely enough to cover both sides of the bagel. But overall , this was an decent experience. Like I stated earlier the coffee shop's building is very unique and intriguing. I was compelled to take a picture of it which I will upload along with this review. We received decent service too! I heard that this city is struggling a bit. I really hope that the businesses in general in El Paso get through this crazy times we are living. We hope to visit this lonely city in the near future.

Yelp
Great coffee and a fun place to enjoy it! Ordering at the window took a few minutes but our coffee was ready quickly. The coffee was great! And the service was friendly. The best part is the fun design of the indoor/outdoor patio upstairs. Great place to enjoy the morning. Would have loved more food options and possibly another window for pick up.
google avatar

Yelp
El Paso is my favorite large city in Texas. Yes, downtown is visibly struggling but the walkable and compact streets are a lush architectural joy. Coffee Box sits right in the middle of it all. This brightly colored shipping container assemblage with a vibrant image of Frida Kahlo on one side is the perfect morning stop before wandering around. [Please be a hero: wear a face mask and practice social distancing when you're here. Protect yourself and those serving you.]

Kimia S.

Yelp
Such nice staff! I got the pistachio latte, and it was super yummy. Great vibes inside and outside!
google avatar

Joanne C.

Yelp
What happened to you coffee box!? I was in El Paso years ago when they opened and love the idea of a repurpose shipping container thingie turned into a coffee shop. The inside was cute and what I got then was good, but then fast forward to October 2021... excitement of going back quickly turned into pure disappointment. The menu looked sooooo good...taro oatmilk latte...pistachio latte...I mean yummmm! I ordered the pistachio decaf latte and my husband got a Blueberry muffin. The pistachio latte was purely bad...I felt like something was missing but no taste or hint of pistachio. Blueberry muffin was like eating pure sugar. I couldn't eat it and my 14 month old who eats everything even spit it out. I guess we should have seen it coming when other people ahead of us were complaining about their drinks. Even one guy came back to tell them how bad It was and that they will end up closing if they don't get it together. For this visit really should have been 1 star but gave a 2 because my very first experience was good. It was a sad, sad morning.

Yelp
I have nothing bad to say about this place. The coffee was ok. The service was decent but really slow, I get it, it's hard to find help nowadays. The ambiance is really cool. It's a super neat design made from old cargo containers and that's cool! But the real truth is, this place just isn't serious about their coffee production. They make sweet drinks most people will like but coffee aficionados, the diehard coffee freaks who will make an annual pilgrimage to Starbucks Roastery in Seattle will want to pass this place up.
google avatar

Alexander A.

Yelp
New found gem. This place is in a perfect part of downtown. The ambiance is comfortable. I stopped by here on my morning run downtown and am going to make it part of my routine. The staff was nice and very helpful ordering.
google avatar

Sasha T.

Yelp
Cute lil coffee place! I went every day I was in El Paso because it's the best coffee I found. The container itself looks so much like something out of Portland, which I just loved. The ladies making the coffee were all sweet. There's not too much room to sit, but for a coffee on the go it works. (Went to the little park close by to sit in instead.) I personally like stronger coffee, but, like I said, it was the best I found in El Paso.
google avatar

Bhanu C.

Yelp
- Tried their Mazapan Large iced latte And pistachio large latte warm. - Their mazapan drink had good flavor however towards the end very chalky consistency. Order is delivered in a timely manner. - Their pistachio latte had decent taste but the flavor did feel artificial. - Overall, liked the set up and would like to try their desserts as well.

Miriam N.

Yelp
Their food and coffee are good but their customer service and employees are horrible I do like their food but their service keeps me away from them. I will get text messages for a free item or 15% my order and they never know how to do it they say it doesn't come up on their system. I've place my order online hoping it will be ready by the time it tells me and I get there and they haven't even started my order I would understand if it was busy but there was no other customers just the employees talking. It's disappointing because I've tried so many times and yes their food and drinks are great but not their staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted some good coffee while I was in town so made the short walk from my hotel to the Coffee Box and was not disappointed. I ordered the iced horchata latte based on its label as a "favorite." It was delicious, a little sweeter than I usually take my coffee, but given it was horchata it's completely understandable and warmly welcomed. The coffee also gave me a good kick, which is key to the perfect rating. I also got an onion bagel with cream cheese. Perfectly toasted. A classic, satisfying breakfast. Lastly the atmosphere. The coffee box is made out of shipping containers painted full of murals. You order your food and drinks downstairs, then you can take it upstairs to their small but cozy dining area. Great place to enjoy breakfast and get some work done.

Yelp
We are boba lovers so when we saw that this place sells boba in El Paso, we just had to try it. Unfortunately they fell short. Everything was way too sweet. The boba was not a real tapioca boba but they were jelly boba. Not recommended at all.
google avatar

Serena X.

Yelp
I was just passing through El Paso on the way to the airport and saw that this place has creative drinks and good ratings- my family and I got the pistachio latte, charcoal smoothie, and mocha latte (all iced size medium). Personally, I thought it was all a bit pricey (over $15), but the flavors were great. The mocha tasted more like chocolate than coffee, but overall still delicious. The environment was so cute and I'm still glad I visited!
google avatar

Branka D.

Yelp
I want one where I live. I wouldn't recommend hanging out inside -- it's interesting to see how a shipping container was modified but it's a shipping container & the poor AC can't fight this El Paso sun -- oppressively hot. But wow definitely stop and get a drink!!! I'm typically a Starbucks snob but I would easily prefer these guys. Very cool concept too

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Girls at the register were so nice as it being my first time they were patient with me there horchata oat milk latte was AMAZING definitely recommend
google avatar

Roasted Unroasted C.

Yelp
Roasted: chilly morning in El Paso so it was a perfect morning for coffee. Found coffee box as it had a lot of positive reviews. I love the concept of this place. A coffee shop built out of 2 shipping containers. Super unique. You can order your coffee downstairs and upstairs is both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly. Latte was tasty but was way too foamy - it was more like a cappuccino. Temperature and taste were good and no latte art at all. For a decent cup of coffee, check this place out. Unroasted: great location for this coffee shop. I love the concept of repurposing shipping containers. The staff was friendly and they had a variety of flavors including sugar free. Order the usual and my latte had lots of foam but once you got to the expresso shot it was on point. I recommend to come by check this building out and take a walk at the nearby
google avatar

Priscilla W.

Yelp
Such a unique place! Got a mocha Frappuccino with oat milk. Yum! Definitely recommend! P.S. *LOVE* that they have a non-dairy option!!!
google avatar

Jackelyn T.

Yelp
I ordered the iced horchata latte with oat milk. It is literally divine. I came back the next day too. Seriously, a great purchase
google avatar

Abby C.

Yelp
We passed by downtown El Paso and was attracted by this place! So creative. The coffee, however, was just okay. But it is a good place to take some photos and chill.
google avatar

Sammantha B.

Yelp
It's a cute place but the blended beverages to me taste more like milk and ice than coffee with tons of chunky ice. I was realLy hoping to love this place but it's mediocre coffee, not very aromatic and bland. The lemon seed poppy bread is on point though.
google avatar

Estefany Z.

Yelp
At this point in my life I've been to hundreds of coffee shops. I have undergrad, grad school and my job to blame for that. Nevertheless, this is one of the most architecturally unique coffee shops I've had the pleasure to visit. It literally is a box. It's nice, it sits on a Main Street and you can see the university stadium from the second floor. It's right next to El Jancinto park so you can conveniently grab some coffee after taking a stroll.
google avatar

Heidi Y.

Yelp
Got a mocha and chai tea...the flavor was fine BUT the temperature was not. It was barely lukewarm, ask for it extra hot if you want a hot drink.

Daniel V.

Yelp
What a shame on this place for telling me I cannot have a cup for the two waters I bought for my dog and a large ice tea. Not dog friendly but their tips say dogs or cats so the guy said we prefer not to give you an empty cup! Should of went to Starbucks instead
google avatar

Brandi P.

Yelp
I had to try this place because of how cool it is. It is 2 railroad cars stacked with the top one hanging off one end. There is indoor and outdoor seating both up and downstairs. There also seems to be a fire pit in the downstairs outdoor seating. There is no parking, so you have to either pay $3 an hour in the lot or park by a meter. I got a hazelnut iced coffee. It was a bit bitter, so maybe over brewed. I also tried the coffee and pistachio macaroons. I would not get the coffee macaroon again. It's like the outside and the filling don't agree with each other. The pistachio macaroon was very good. They were perfectly baked with a slightly crisp outside and soft inside. The staff were very friendly and willing to please.
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Small stand. Staff very friendly. Coffee is just so-so. Very small selection of food...bagels, a couple of pastries and muffins, also kind of mediocre. There wasn't anyplace else open nearby so it sufficed, but I wouldn't go again unless I had no other options.
