Philly’s Best Hangover Restaurants | Eater Philly

"In a pandemic-era pivot, the team behind Hawthornes debuted a new takeout window at the same address this month. Along with traditional all-day cafe offerings like soup, baked goods, and wine, diners can add bourbon, amaro, or scotch to their coffee for hair of the dog relief hidden in a cup. Brunch bites on the daily menu include a hummus bagel sandwich and a range of eggy breakfast sandwiches. Order pickup online or saddle up to its outdoor setup." - Jillian Wilson

This place is a fishtown OG that always delivers. I love the guy that works on Sunday's. Always nice, fast, and adds in things I forgot I wanted liked how sauce for my burrito. THANK YOU! I usually get a pastry and a latte but all of the food is great.

Just had the most delightful little date here, the food was excellent and the server was super nice! Cozy atmosphere as well and the price is very good for the amount of food you get :)

I'm new to the area and was looking for a coffee shop that isn't Dunkin donuts. I came for the first time, alone, for a coffee early in the morning at about 10 o'clock on Aug 13. There were no other customers in the cafe. I ordered an iced coffee, and went to put milk in. The two creamers that were out weren't labeled. So I poured cream instead of milk. No big deal. There was a sign for upstairs seating, and I asked the barista if I could sit upstairs. He told me seating is reserved for groups of people eating. Groups of people. So a person out by themselves doesn't deserve a seat at a table?I was a paying customer. I would have drank my coffee and purchased a refill, or another one if refills weren't available. I'll never know. I think it's really low to discriminate against someone simply because they've come to a cafe alone. There were other issues too. I'd tried to visit once before and despite the business hours saying they should be open, they were not. I'd gone out of my way to visit a local cafe instead of going to the much closer Dunkin donuts, but after the rude and inconsiderate treatment I received at this Cafe I will not be visiting ever again. There's a cute cafe up a few blocks on Susquehanna, they don't care if I want to sit alone.

Google
Absolutely loved this brunch spot! The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. To top it off, they surprised us with a complimentary mimosa, which made the experience even better. Great vibe, friendly service, and definitely a new favorite!

Google
Excellent good, awesome service, friendly staff. Our food came out quick and was so good. I got the burger my wife got the Dirty Jersey (pork roll, egg, and cheese) the burger was excellent and the Dirty Jersey was equally good and loaded with pork roll. I will definitely be back and highly recommend coming here.

Google
I admit it - I am a coffee snob. I may don’t approve of everything Starbucks does, but I love their Verona. But I digress, Coffee House Too is now my favorite Philly cafe. They served me a perfect cup of Italian brew that was full bodied, lots of flavor, but no acid or fruity taste - exactly the way I like it. I’m sure you could also get a fruity blend there if that’s you’re style - I know it’s what the young people like! Great vibes, great coffee!

Yelp
Visited Coffee House Too on a relaxed Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised by this unique spot. I ordered the Fajita Hangover Hoagie, which came on a buttery, satisfying hoagie roll that was hearty and filling. The Waffle Sandwich was also a highlight, with a well-done sausage patty that added great flavor. A nice touch was the free small drink they offer to help with hangovers--thoughtful and fun. The ambiance was chilled out with cool music, creating a laid-back atmosphere perfect for easing into the weekend. One of the standout features was how dog-friendly the place is. Not only are dogs welcome inside, but my pup even got a free bacon treat! For those who prefer a quieter experience, there's a humans-only seating area upstairs. Service was fast and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Coffee House Too combines great food, a welcoming vibe, and thoughtful extras, making it a spot I'd definitely recommend--especially if you're bringing along a furry friend.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwich was delicious and very kind employees! We stopped in before heading to the airport and we're so glad that we did. The dining area was a vibe, and they played great music. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the neighborhood.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go to have breakfast or lunch talk about personal service each order is made fresh and the food is amazing plus to have these little amazing cocktails that you can get when you do your order who doesn't like that one of the best places for brunch or lunch

Yelp
This place is amazing. Delicious food. All entrees come with a drink. They give bacon to your pups. Anyone who treats my doggo well has my business. Food is delicious too. Service was quick. Will definitely recommend and return.

Yelp
Small little coffee shop with seating upstairs. This is a great option for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I got the 2 eggs with tofu and it was delicious. They had a special that offered us 2 free orange juices. Overall delicious and will be back. Super friendly staff ! Cash and card accepted (3% additional fee).

Yelp
Not only are the workers SO sweet and kind, but the food and coffee is totally worth the stop. The breakfast sandwiches are always great, but if you like a sweet breakfast...OMG the bananas and Bavarian cream stuffed waffles are to DIE for. Such an amazing local coffee shop in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We chose to dine in. Seating is upstairs and a few picnic tables outside. We ate upstairs. Had the whole dining room to ourselves and our server. I didn't catch his name, but he was super friendly. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish I could have eaten it all. That BLT was . Perfectly cooked egg and lots of bacon. My friend's pastrami hash was delicious as well. Next time I'm here I'll be visiting Coffee House Too again.

Yelp
It's a small quaint breakfast place. Staff is nice and one time in one of the owners chatted with us a bit. Very nice. The pork roll is really on point. Nice crispy eggs and the egg pops just right as you bite into the sandwich. What feels unique is if you get a breakfast meal item you also get a free mini Bloody Mary or Mimosa. The Bloody Mary is nice. It's a small menu but everything they do, they do well.

Yelp
Great coffee, solid food. I stopped in before getting a tattoo nearby. I got a Hangover Hoagie and an iced coffee. The hoagie was awesome. It came with eggs, hash browns, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and onions on a hoagie roll. For my beverage I went with an iced coffee and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The coffee had a rich and robust flavor and it was a great accompaniment to the sandwich. Really, really solid. Overall, Coffee House Too was top notch. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was friendly and the food and coffee were on point. If you happen to be in Fishtown, I strongly recommend giving this place a visit. Five stars in my book.
google avatar

Yelp
Much better quality of food compared to green eggs next door. In door dining is back upstairs, decorated for comfort, and this is by far the friendliest breakfast staff in the area. Best French toast in Fishtown, no questions

Yelp
So the place is pretty small. They don't have indoor seating. They do have two outdoor tables with seats. The person who attended to us was very kind and helpful. Food was provided very quickly. Something pretty neat about this place is that they serve free mimosas I ordered the portobello mushroom omelette. I'll be honest. The omelette was okay. It came with potatoes. The potatoes were delicious. I don't know what they put in them, but they were good. Would I make an effort to go out of my way to come here? No. If I'm in the area, I'll go. But otherwise, it's a pretty regular breakfast spot. I took one star off because there is no indoor seating.

Yelp
Food was phenomenal. Service was solid. Music was terrible and should next be played in a restaurant.

Yelp
Stopped into Coffee House Too this morning to grab breakfast and coffee... and we had the BEST experience. We had our two large dogs with us and the staff immediately welcomed them with fresh water and bacon. The staff were profoundly kind, warm, and genuine- I was incredibly impressed, and felt at home. The shop is cute, quirky, and fun- it made us feel like we could sit for hours and just chat. And the food?! Incredible. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great coffee, even better food. I will definitely come back! The place is cozy and they offered on the house alc drinks for Sunday brunch.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood staple and everyone should support this small business run by the nicest people you'll ever meet. You're always greeted warmly and thanked for your patience if there is a bit of a wait. It's a small operation and everyone who works here hustles to ensure their customers are fed, coffeed and cared for. One note: they are cash only but there is an atm inside. They have picnic tables out front and are dog friendly. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches are delish too!
google avatar

Yelp
Cutest little spot to eat! We got complimentary drinks while we waited, and the food was great! Absolutely recommend stopping in for a bite on a nice day!

Yelp
I hopped on Yelp as soon as I finished eating cuz it was that good:) maybe being hungover helped a little but seriously, we walk in and we see the server running the whole show doing a million things at the same time and it was fascinating to watch. I admired his efficiency and his friendly attitude. It seemed that usually people order in advance bc it's a 30-40min wait but we were offered free mimosa, Bloody Mary, OJ, or wine and we thought that was genius! Ofc we didn't decline the offer:) and we only waited for like 20-25mins and the server happily came out with our order. We got the fajita hangover hoagies. My husband got the steak and I got the chicken and they were both so delicious. The sandwich was full of meat, potatoes, veggies and three fried eggs. The bread is soft, eggs were crispy delicious and I love having plenty veggies in my meals:) it was a hefty sandwich and I loved that they wrapped up each half individually to make it easier to eat. Also genius! We will def be here again cuz we only live 5mins away!

Yelp
This may be my go to spot for breakfast. I was told the coffee was really good. I decided on the ginger bread chai latte w/oat milk and that was really tasty. We walked right in and waited a few minutes as another customer placed their order. This gave me time to look around, and try and decide on what I wanted to eat. The menu looked appetizing and it was hard for me to make a selection. I also noticed the pastries that were inside and they too looked good. When I placed my order I then noticed the CASH ONLY sign on the register but luckily there's an ATM right inside that's gonna charge you $2.99. I ordered the 2 eggs & cheese w/bacon on brioche bread and the latte. I was offered a complimentary OJ, mimosa, screwdriver or Bloody Mary. Since it was during my work time, I just got the OJ and it tasted fresh, no pulp and it was sweet. After placing my order, I waited outside for the staff member to bring me my meal which didn't take long at all. Street parking which wasn't an issue since it was during the week around 9am. It appeared that there were 3 staff members working at that time, 2 in the front and 1 cooking. They seemed to have had a system going and didn't miss a beat at all. They were friendly and polite towards us. They presently don't offer indoor dining but that's not a problem. The price and food is good and I didn't mind sitting in the car and finishing off my meal.

Yelp
From the moment I stepped into this place to the moment I left, I had the best customer service of my entire life on a lazy Saturday morning. Even though we only had a 4 minute wait for a table, the staff made sure they were on top of everything and gave us our complementary mimosa early to break up the time! Walking up the steps, you end up in a small second floor area with room for maybe 5-10 small tables. Even the muffins they gave us at the beginning were delicious, my favorite being the chocolate chip! Since there is a small area and only one or two people able to fit working at the same time, the waitress made sure each group was satisfied. The food was amazing, with great quality and a great portion size that made me wonder if I should've split something! Coming with perfectly ripe watermelon, nicely cooked eggs and crispy fries, it seemed like they did everything just right! The Hangover Special is a favorite here as I've heard from many, but don't sleep on the daily specials or the breakfast dishes, many of which include spin-offs of their regular items but with a tasty twist! I had the pastrami and potatoes, which came with onions and peppers and swiss, but there were more than several things on the menu that had me excited. Although the place is small, they reward their customers with a positive experience all around. I will be back very very soon!

Yelp
The service here never seems to disappoint. They are super accommodating, friendly and very efficient all while having a smile on their face. Starting with providing water with a cucumber slice, offering a complimentary mimosa or Bloody Mary and also complimentary muffins before even taking your order. Definitely makes you feel like you are celebrating! When you wake in there is a counter where you can pick up to go orders and also order. DO NOT be discouraged proceed straight and you will see a narrow staircase with Philly neighborhoods painted on each stair. Once you have arrived upstairs you will see tables, benches with cushions, plants, mirrors and sorts decorating their sit down area. The menu has a pretty decent selection from breakfast to more hearty lunch options. They will continue to refill your coffee as much as you would like. Prices are definitely reasonable. This is a cash only spot but they do have ATM's on site. You will not regret your visit!

Yelp
Was in town from New York and my family took me here during my visit and it's good I'm not from the area because I'd be at this place everyday. Coffee House Too has amazing, cheap breakfast and a super friendly staff! I was actually hungover and decided to order the infamous hangover hoagie and it was incredible. Can't stop raving about this to my friends back home. Everyone has to come here and try this hoagie. Besides the amazing hoagie and amazing staff, your table gets a complimentary Bloody Mary or mimosa and muffins!
google avatar

Yelp
I constantly look for a place that has good coffee and a variety of sugar free flavorings. Been getting coffee from here the past couple days and its consistently good and the breakfast isn't bad too. The hangover hoagies are definately something special as its got everything you want in a breakfast on a roll. I got the smoky Italian hangover hoagie. It has fried egg, mozzerella, prosciutto, lettuce, tomato, pesto, and onion and pepper hash. It was the perfect bite everytime. Also if you order food you currently get a choice of a free mimosa, bloody mary, or orange juice. I am definately looking forward to coming by here more often.

Yelp
I wish I found this gem sooner! The bae & I visited this place for a quick brunch on Veteran's Day since we both had off. As soon as you walk in, you're about 4 feet away from the counter displaying fresh baked goods. In addition to outdoor seating, there is a seating area on the 2nd floor, which we didn't check out since we got lucky with the weather & sat outside. My BF ordered the Original Hangover Hoagie with Turkey Sausage. I was more basic and ordered a Bagel, Egg, Cheese, Tomato, & Turkey Sausage Sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel. Bruh, let me tell you, that Hangover Hoagie was thebomb.com! It was really flavorful and absolutely delicious. My bagel sandwich was pretty good too, but nothing out of the ordinary. We'll definitely come back to try another one of their hangover hoagies. The guy at the counter was also really nice and friendly. Overall, an A++ experience.

Yelp
I'm very conflicted about this place. On initial research this place offerred vegan options. However upon arrival I didn't see anything on the menu and when I asked the server she said nothing is vegan. Definitely confusing given their photos on yelp and I wish they would clean up that perception or at least and better option... add 1 or 2 vegan options. The reason I'm torn is because from what they did provide they did it well. The complimentary Bloody Mary was bangin (very horse radishy). They also brought over some complementary muffins. My roommate and friend who ordered their food and ate the muffins raved about what they had. The baguette for the sandwich was massive and filled me with envy as my roommate chewed away. All in all, they're not for everyone and it's a little disappointing to be such a hip cafe spot but not have even 1 vegan option.

Yelp
Good coffee. Quick take out service. I've never been for sit down, but this place is always packed! Cash only!!! But ATM inside.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Friendly service, delicious menu items, dependable quality, and sweet tunes daily. I just had an egg and cheese sandwich with bacon on wheat toast which was perfect, as usual! Josh and his team are always on point.

Yelp
Such a wonderful brunch place! My friends have been telling me how great this restaurant is and I am so glad I finally tried it out! The bottom floor has some pastries on display (which looked incredible) and drinks, and the top floor is for dine-in seating. The atmosphere is very cozy. We had to wait around 20 minutes for a table but the servers continued to check in on us while waiting and even offered us free mimosas! And you get free little muffins before your meal comes, too! All of the food was delicious and you get huge portions for great prices. Unlimited coffee for $2.50 which was great as well. Service was super fast and very friendly! The only negative about this place is that it is pretty tiny so if you go during peak hours, you will probably have to wait a bit to be seated. Overall was a wonderful brunch experience and I will definitely be coming back ASAP! Also FYI it's cash only.

Yelp
We are not in Kansas anymore Toto!! The Hangover Cheesesteak!! Holy Mackerel!! What a place!! What a cheesesteak!! THEY DON'T HAVE A LIQUOR LICENSE SO THE BLOODY MARYS ARE FREE!! The muffins in the picture with our free Mimosas (we opted for the free mimosas) are FREE!! The Hangover Cheesesteak you have to buy to get the freebies, $9.75 and Ab-so-freaking-lute-ly fantabulous!! They describe their creation better than I can so straight from the menu; 3 fried eggs, cheddar, & homemade hash with peppers and onions on a garlic buttered long roll with fresh lettuce, tomato, & onion Quarter pound of shaved steak. Cooked too perfection and served by the nicest person, Nicole. I'm not a fan of pillows on the bench seat while I'm eating my breakfast but i guess they were a nice design feature. PS a clean fun bathroom matters and when you have one I am going to take a picture in it!!
google avatar

Yelp
Good food - a great BLT, Salad, and baked goods to go. Super friendly, fast, courteous, and did I say friendly? Cleaning protocol looked good, only two customers inside at a time, and hand sanitizer everywhere. Taking cash only, but otherwise super convenient. I even called in my order ahead for speedy pick up. Will return.

Yelp
This was my first time eating in at this place. I have ordered food to go a few times and it's great. The place itself is a little small but I think it makes for a fun environment. We came here on a Sunday for brunch (well really lunch bc it was about 1pm) and it was a short wait- I don't think it's typical of a Saturday but we were grateful. The upstairs space is up a flight of stairs that are kind of steep- just be careful coming down those things. It's smallish but cozy. Definitely makes for a louder environment but I wasn't bothered by it. The service was great- everyone was friendly and quick. We were given free muffins and our choice of a free drink- OJ, mimosa or Bloody Mary. I had the Bloody Mary as I nursing a hangover. There's soo many good food options !!! I opted for the sweet waffle sandwich- fried egg, pork sausage with melted Brie stuffed between two wee waffles. Literally the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Delicious. Reasonably priced as well. Also, it's cash only!!! They have a quite on the front their menu that I truly believe they live by as evidenced by their service & attentiveness : "We are in the people business serving food" I can't wait to come back and try more fewds!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick breakfast. It was really quant and quick. I got some breakfast potatoes and a bacon egg and cheese croissant. The food was tasty and fairly priced. I even got a small glass of mimosa with my food. It was awesome, we'll be back.
google avatar

Grace F.

Yelp
Wow! This place gets 5 stars because the service was great. My sandwich was pretty good too. I called in an order, for some reason they did not send it back to the kitchen so I was a little disappointed. Luckily, I wasn't in a rush. I ended up asking to switch my order because I saw the Hangover Hoagie on the menu. This is a hangover man's dream. It was extremely overwhelming for me but it was delicious and had so much flavor. The most interesting part was it was a garlic butter sesame seed bun. But, the man behind the counter was extremely patient with me. Apologized for the delay and offered me a mini mimosa while I waited. The people also waiting we're extremely friendly. I saw a sign for seating upstairs, I wonder what it was like but great neighborhood coffee shop.

Austin S.

Yelp
Coffee, food, and service are all excellent every time! This little shop competes with a diner and a restaurant known for it's breakfast on the same street yet continues to be my go-to spot. The breakfast sandwiches are to die for!
google avatar

Rachael M.

Yelp
I continue to go to Coffee House Too, and I continue to love it. The staff is so kind, the food always hits, and, of course, the coffee is good. I wanted to update, because I just had the house-made veggie cream cheese and it's awesome! It's chunky and crunchy with all the veggies, and it's very flavorful - highly recommend.

Yelp
A cute cafe that stands out from other places in the city. I called in a pickup order for breakfast and they picked up right away! I've had such a hard time with other restaurants in the area simply not answering the phone. Coffee House was off to a great start, and when I arrived to pick up my order (which was already done when I arrived!), the barista was extremely friendly and offered me a free screwdriver while I was there. I enjoyed my drink, bought a coffee and pastry, and then brought my food home. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious!!! I will definitely be a repeat customer :)
google avatar

Alee G.

Yelp
I have driven pass this place SO many times, but finally had a chance to stop in because I was getting my car looked at down the street. Best decision ever! The customer service was fantastic (so helpful), prices are great, and my order came up fast. I had the crab cake breakfast sandwich and was floored (SO good!). Definitely stop by and try them out if you haven't been (I'll be back). I think they're on Caviar too. Just make sure you bring cash b/c they are cash only (I think I saw a sign that said atm though).
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
Best coffee/breakfast shop in fishtown. The prices are great and the portions are huge. You can easily get a delicious breakfast and coffee for under $10. I would recommend the Original Hangover Hoagie, which can be had in either a Hoagie roll or in a wrap (which makes it the perfect breakfast burrito!) I'm becoming a regular there, and I suggest everyone in the area try them out! Also, you get a free small orange juice or cocktail (mimosa or Bloody Mary) with every food order!
google avatar

Yelp
This might just be the best breakfast spot I have experienced in Philly. Off the beaten path from Center City, but not far off I-95, this place has a super-friendly, laid-back vibe and really good food. The hash I enjoyed for breakfast was different and totally delicious. It looks like a small coffee shop from the outside, but has more upstairs seating than you would imagine, as well as outdoor seating. A great surprise and a high recommendation. Will definitely find my way back there!
google avatar

Nikky S.

Yelp
Quaint Coffee shop located in the Kensington are of Philadelphia. Note, this shop is small and not made for dining in. I believe it is takeout only. I ordered the Hangover Breakfast sandwich (this is what they are known for). The sandwich comes 3 eggs, choice of meat, cheese, hash potatoes, lettuce and tomatoes. I opted for the hash on the side along with the lettuce and tomatoes. My order was ready upon arrival. Service was swift and the cashiers were friendly. Overall, pleasant experience, would return.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place. The servers are very sweet and attentive. I've come here several times for their coffee, it's quite good. I've also dined in a few times. The upstairs dining room is quaint and homey. Their breakfast is delicious, especially their cheesesteak wrap. I would definitely recommend this place to others and often do mention it to friends. Definitely come here!

Yelp
I was visiting friends in philly and was very underwhelmed by the city as a whole. But having brunch at coffee house restored my faith (somewhat...philly still sucks...sorry!). It's a split between take out and dine in, with a kitschy little dining room upstairs. It's CASH ONLY which makes me really mad because dining in will easily cost you $12-15 and I never carry that much cash around. Anyways, we were seated after a few minutes on a Sunday at 1 and given complimentary muffins...YAY. Free muffins makes up for the cash only. I ordered the Philly steak and egg sandwich on a long roll ($8.75) and it was phenomenal. Like holy sh!t it was that good. There were 3 dang eggs and a generous amount of sirloin steak on a wonderfully soft roll oh my I just can't. I would def come back just for this glorious sandwich.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a BYOB which brings you a free drink with your meal! Outstanding service where everyone is smiling! It's mildly run down facilities make for a very cozy place to unwind on a day-after drinking or relaxed lunch. Their go-to sandwich for hangover cures is properly named the Hangover Hoagie, which they have many versions of all bursting with flavor. They have some outdoor seating and seating upstairs. They also are a takeout coffee joint. Everything on their menu is very reasonably priced ($5-$11), and they have something to appeal to everyone. It reminds me of a home town diner mixed with some big city hipster flair. Great spot!

Yelp
This coffee House was hands down the best spot I have visited thus far! It is a little on the small side but opens up as you go upstairs. It is definitely a local spot for anyone visiting Philly and want to get away from the touristy areas. Outside seating is available and you may bring your pets to eat outside with you. The robot at the entrance is very eye catching! We were immediately seated by our amazing waitress. I cannot remember her name but she was an older woman. She was enthusiastic, fast, didn't forget anything, and brought the kids fruit without us asking. It's a lovely spot to have brunch or a cup of coffee while you read a book or finish some last minute work. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The coffee is delicious and if you are hung over try the hangover sandwich, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Just ordered delivery, maybe that was a mistake. $20 was a lot to spend on this. Turns out the toast was kinda burned and was the end of the loaf too. Totally disappointed. Okaaaay. Let me clarify my math (lol) and apologize for rounding up a nickel (also lol) I did get steak fries and I didn't include those in the $20 price I mentioned since they aren't in the picture. 2 egg breakfast was $9.20 +$2 for that sausage = $11.20, "1 Belgian waffle" $8.75, steak fries $4. Total $23.95. $11.20 + $8.75 = $19.95 to be more specific. And still, $11.20 and $8.75 for a worse breakfast than I'd get at McDonald's and "1 Belgian waffle" that was terrible. BUT $4 steak fries....totally reasonable price What we've also learned here is don't be the last order! (At 2:22, when they close at 4 according to website) My bad for not paying attention and realizing this way too late, but how did I end up paying $11.20?!? (See pics)

Yelp
This place really surprised me! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was super cute. I ordered pastrami hash and it's so good, they give you plenty of food. Our waitress was really attentive and kind. Would return. They are also byob :)

Yelp
The first thing noticed entering Coffee House Too was how the people working there embrace your presence. From Josh the manager, to Channelle (#5) our server, right to the guy bussing the tables, everyone made a nearly superhuman effort to welcome us and show something of their personalities. Under some circumstances that could have felt cloying, but with these folk it was totally genuine and not overdone. The dining area was up a narrow steep flight of stairs with the names of Philly neighborhoods written on the risers. Good idea for keep our eyes where we were walking to avoid missteps. The second story was bright with windows facing east, and yellow/gold painted walls all around. Lots of chachkas and potted plants. Channelle was to us in a blink, offering great coffee and mimosas/bloodies/orange juice. The breakfast menu was a large page with their signature dishes - Hangover Sandwiches, Regular Breakfast Egg Sandies, Omelets, Waffles, etc. Even before ordering a Pastrami Omelet and Original Hangover creation, we received two homemade muffins compliments of the house. Alcohol and bakery sweets gratis, just because...and, Josh stopped by to introduce himself and inquire where we were from and how we knew about CH2. Pleasant conversation. I'm not a pastrami guy, but my companion sure loved the load of smoked beef, Swiss cheese and sautéed onions that filled her 3 egg plate. My Original Breakfast Hangover Sandwich was a glorious monstrosity of 3 more eggs, garlic buttered sesame seed loaf, cheddar, sausage and their hash browns all in the mix. Put hash browns inside my eggs and you know one of the keys to my soul. With the first bite, my eyes involuntarily rolled to the back of my head, and I am told I emitted a low yowl. My inner wolf was free for a moment. Don't remember, but it was that good. Don't think I bit anyone. Doubtless, we will return to this or the other Coffee House Too in the near future. We liked it a lot!

Yelp
This place was really cute! Unfortunately it's cash only and i wasn't aware until i was ready to pay. I'm over cash only places that don't have it KNOWN that they are cash only. I'm always so bummed out. Although i was a little disappointed, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I stopped in to get some schoolwork done and enjoy some espresso. It was really dark upstairs so it was hard to focus on my work... i would prefer a brighter coffee house feel. I didn't try the food but the menu seems lengthy and seems like there's something for everyone. My cappuccino was nothing special. Tasted a lot like one I could scoop up at Dunkin'.. cute concept. I'll have to try some other drinks and some food before bumping up my star rating.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today and loved it! Great breakfast/brunch spot with a good mix of unique and classic dishes. The main seating area upstairs is cozy but not claustrophobic (although seating for more than 6 could get tricky). The free cocktail/muffin with meal is fun and makes breakfast feel like a special occasion. But the thing I was most impressed by was the service. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and seems to genuinely enjoy being there. We live really close by and I am kind of fearful for my waistline because we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Such a charming place that stood out to me in a sea of mom & pop coffee shops! I walked here during my maternity leave to get an almond milk cappuccino with cinnamon sprinkle. The staff is extremely friendly. In fact, I didn't realize it was cash only, and I didn't have my bank card on me to take cash out at the atm machine. As I got ready to walk out coffee-less and defeated, they stopped me and made me the cappuccino on the house! You better believe I have been back many times since, and will continue supporting their business. Their cappuccino is delicious by the way, and they offer it with oat milk too. Still trying to get over there for what seems to be an amazingly delicious brunch spot.
