I genuinely love supporting local businesses, especially coffee shops, but unfortunately, my recent visit left me disappointed. Customer service here is practically non-existent, and it was frustrating to see the staff more focused on chatting and laughing together than on helping customers.
One of the young women, wearing glasses and working the register, seemed completely indifferent, more interested in cutting parchment paper than assisting the customer in front of her. When asked about the house-made syrups, her response was dismissive: 'Our syrups are made in-house, so they're less sweet than Starbucks.' Instead of trying to understand or suggest how sweet the customer might want their drink, she left it at that. It would've been helpful to hear options, like adjusting the amount of syrup.
Our order of two vanilla hot lattes took over 10 minutes--not because they were busy, but because they were more focused on goofing off. At one point, they even realized they had started making our drinks incorrectly. I understand delays if the shop is crowded, but this was pure inattention.
I had high hopes for this spot, wanting to make it a regular stop. Sadly, I won't be returning unless there's a clear improvement in customer service. Perhaps if future reviews reflect changes, I might give it another shot, but for now, I'll be looking elsewhere.
